Visited here this evening with my daughter service with the food was quick and nice even though the pub was very busy, I had to ask for our drinks as i nearly finished my food but didn't mind too much about waiting a little longer tables needs clearing probably not enough floor staff on to cater for this even though staff was working very hard. Very nice pub overall keep up the good work 👏

Went for Sunday lunch with family 6 of us in total. Can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I ever had, meat was tough and tasteless, vegetables best described as mushy gravy left greasy taste whilst the Yorkshire pudding was a flat heap of pastry.

Nice place. Staff were friendly and polite. Stoned floor, usual tap beers and a few real ales available. TV on the wall showing sport. Tables and chairs were adequate, descently decorated. Enjoyed my visit.

Of course, the weather was wonderful, which helped the ambiance but we had a lovely time at The Blue Lias today, sitting outside to eat, watching boats going past on the canal. The food, fish and chips, was basic but good quality and well-cooked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There were plenty of clean water bowls for our dogs, which I had to fill so the water was fresh.

Went to the winking man over the weekend met lovely staff great food and amazing management! Staff were very welcoming and fast service. Also noticed some campervans parked up some had electrical hookups so you can park here over night for a small fee but get 10% off your food and drink amazing!

Ideal historic venue for breakfast from the traditional Wetherspoon's wide choice. All excellent value, served by friendly and efficient staff. Toilets were spotless, and the whole place is a real asst to the town (as it has been for 110 years).

What can I say? Just keep driving straight past is my advice. We should've been warned by all the tables outside that clearly hadn't been ckeared and food all over the floor. We were sat for at least half an hour before anyone even took a drinks order and that was only after my wife went and asked someone. All the food was disgusting. Steak was meant to be 18oz. No way was it, 8oz at best and half of that was inedible due to sinew and gristle. Seems to be a regular theme judging by the reviews on here. My wife's pie was literally frozen cold in the middle and black burnt on the pastry. We sent the pie back, everyone else had finished eating and fresh food still hadn't arrived for my wife. We got up and walked the hell out of here. Such a shame as great canalside location and could be good with decent staff training and management.
