MARSTON's Meadow Farm in Redditch

Went for Sunday lunch with family 6 of us in total. Can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I ever had, meat was tough and tasteless, vegetables best described as mushy gravy left greasy taste whilst the Yorkshire pudding was a flat heap of pastry.

Check in fantastic with Jane was smooth helpful and extremely friendly room spotless food and service fantastic always love it here be back verrrrry soon

The food was dry, some items were missing we told staff who just laughed, we weren’t offered money back and never received the missing food. Very poor, staff aren’t bothered with customer service

Staff were friendly, beer was good but the food was awful. We both had steak, meant to be well done and medium rare, both were more than well done, it was comparable to wood. Won't be back

My meal wasn’t complete when someone finally came and asked if everything was ok I said I’m missing some of my meal and the barmaid laughed at me and said would you like a refund for your pound I said keep it and walked off because it must of been run by idiots who know nothing about manners I was also staying for the full week and rather got a taxi to the local weatherspoons than deal with children again Learn to employ staff with manners instead of owing your paying customers money

My husband and I popped in for brunch and had a such a lovely meal we ended up staying for a few drinks too. The staff were so welcoming, especially Seanah, she really made it feel like we were the most important people there! Have recommended to all our friends and will definitely be visiting again!

I went to meadow farm for lunch after a busy morning at work. I was greeted with a warm welcome by Seanah. We sat in the bar area which was nice, then noticed it had a playground in the garden for the children which was perfect as it kept them entertained. Seanah recommended the cauli bites as I don’t eat most meats and to my surprise they were very pleasant. My over all experience was very good but I would like to say that Seanah made my experience a lot better. Nothing was too much for her and she didn’t make you feel like an annoyance every time we called her over. I definitely think meadow farm are very lucky to have her, shes an asset to the company. I will be returning in the hopes that Seanah will be there to grace us with her amazing customer service.

Came across this beautiful pub, came in and was made very very welcome by our waitress Shauna. Very bubbly girl and very helpful with my group of friends and our children!! Will definitely come back soon!!

Staff - young man and receptionist need customer service training. Waitress looked tired and unhappy. Table dirty and too close to next table. Had to move table in order to sit down. Food very basic and Sunday roast mediocre and tepid. Worst Fathers Day meal ever.

The three of us enjoyed a great meal, well cooked and well presented. The ladies who served us were friendly and a young lady named Seanah and another lady kindly seated us at a roomy table as two of our party were disabled. We will definitely eat at the Meadow Farm again. Thank you David Barber

Disappointing to say the least. Went to the pub and was seated on a booth. The bench side was an utter disgrace, tatted and the material was peeling away exposing the underneath. The space between the furniture was a very tight squeeze. There was my father and I plus my newborn baby. It wasn't very busy and we waited half an hour for our drinks to be ordered. I went to the bar and asked if we order at the bar or if it was table service as we had been waiting. The bar man replied "the waitress should come and take your order. We did ask the waitress if we could order drinks and she kept saying "Give me 2 minutes". When we ordered drinks the bar man ( who was very nice) dropped them off. When our food order was taken I was not asked if I had any allergies so had to mention it. I wasn't offered an allergy guide and had to take the waitresses word for it. Food arrived and the meat was tough but not due to incorrect cooking but due to poor meat quality. We ordered another drink and it took half an hour to come. We were offered pudding as compensation for our less than adequate experience. We accepted one pudding. When the pudding was brought out by the barman (he didn't take our pudding order) I asked if it had been checked for my allergies he confessed that it hadn't and he apologised and proceeded to check my allergies(which I appreciated) luckily it was ok, however it could have been very different of I had eaten it and something was wrong as the waitress who took my order knew about my allergies and didn't notify the kitchen about the dessert. Could be life threatening. There was also a breach in protocol because the waitress that took my order should of brought my food out or a manager as it was an allergy. Please note this is a 2 star and not a 1 star as the barman boosted it and deserves abut of credit for trying to fix mistakes where possible

…stayed on the night of April 25th 2024…I like a Marston’s…you know what you’re getting….the lass wearing glasses & a plaid shirt was brilliant…backwards and forwards to the kitchen…fetching and carrying…apologising for the wait…I waited to compliment her on her graft…good workers need pointing out…

Me and friends went for dinner. Location and building were very nice and presentable. Food was filling, tasty and delivered quickly . Also a shout out to our servers who were quick and polite: Alyssa, Dan and Chelle. Will come back again

Came to meadow farm for breakfast as we were passing, our breakfast was lovely, we helped ourselves to the Continental while we waited for our cooked breakfast, my full works was lovely and my friend’s omelette was lovely aswell, we were served by Laura and the chef was Liam. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you again

Waited nearly 2 hours for dinner. Staff worked very hard but unfortunately there just wasn’t enough staff so they were run off their feet.

I had to write to tell you what a lovely meal we have just had..my partner started with tomatoe soup.which was delicious,I had leek and potato.which was also delicious…my partner had steak,.it was nice and tender..I had chicken tikka masarla.lovely…the waitress was very nice.I did not get her name,,she had red hair,Thankyou,,we will return soon….

Visited for breakfast. We were only ones there. Lukewarm welcome, informed coffee machine only doing americano’s as broke but could have tea too. Orange juice was nearly empty and looked like the dregs. Only 3 cups and all full of some sort of dust. The tables, breakfast area and floors were filthy. Ordered food and it came quickly and was actually nice. The whole place seems tired and as if it’s ready to close down which is a shame as is in a prime location with new houses being built close by. Wouldn’t return

Staff not very professional, not communicating with each other about where we were sitting, put the wrong table number down on our order. Food quality not amazing, wasn’t very hot. No one checked to see if we were enjoying our meal.

Very impressed with the surroundings, although the service was very slow. We had fish and chips. 2 am in the morning i felt very ill for which i had to miss a day from work through food poisoning. Sad end to what we had hoped would be a nice night out.

Exellent breakfast, Trudy was brilliant, made me feel welcome on arrival and showed me where everything was. I ordered the works which was exellent quality, cooked very well and very substantial. I will be having more meals and trying the beers going forward as i am staying for a while, whilst working in the area. Highly recommended.

I'd had a long day so I stopped off to get my head together. I was served at the bar by Wendy who was polite and friendly. I left the bar in a better frame of mind, if this bar staff is here the next time I visit I will stay longer.

Went here as a last minute treat Dave was fantastic, found us a table and made some recommendations to the kids, this alone is refreshing as most of the time when you go out, kids are ignored, it means so much that they are asked their opinion and treated like real people. Keep up the great work

Terrible food, horrible burnt food, salad that looked like it was from a compost bin, really small portion, curtains that cant be drawn as they are nailed to the wall so had to have sun right in our faces the whole time. garbage, never again

Far and away the worst Sunday dinner I have had. All 5 of us had something different, all were really bland with hardly any taste, the veg was clearly out of the freezer, just tasted of water. The ice cream still had flakes of ice...

Honestly, go to McDonalds. The staff are impolite and unhelpful. Waited well over an hour for food yet some important (looking) people ordered way after us and had pretty much finished their meal by the time we left. It was like they'd identified the secret diner. Won't be returning. Go to the Beefeater up the road, at least the staff care there.

From the start it was terrible service, It seemed that no staff member wanted to go to the area we were sat in. Eventually after about 20 minutes a staff member came to take our order - After taking loads of orders of people who had arrived after us. They seem to care more about people who had reserved tables. After about 15 minutes our starter turned up but still no drinks and again the staff members were so worried about the reserved tables that they were quick to get them laid up but we had to eat our starter without any knifes and forks even though multiple stuff members walked passed and saw we were eating without cutlery and ignored our attempts to grab there attention. Eventually after we had finished our starter our drinks turned up but others on tables around us who had arrived after us had already had theirs bought out to them. Our main meal turned up but was firstly taken to the wrong table and then spoke to us as if it was our fault even though our table was a table service one. The food was disgusting, The chips were like they had just been left in a pot for an hour before serving, the fish had obviously been cooked in a rush and was disgusting. Peas were freezing cold. The gammon was swimming in grease and the egg was gloopy. We had eaten what we wanted of the meal and then waited almost 20 minutes for a staff member to come so we could get the bill but no one did, again staff members walked past but cared more about the reserved table next to us so ignored us. Eventually we had to go up to a till and tell a staff member we wanted to pay just so we could get out of there. Looks really nice from the outside but terrible staff, terrible chef and clearly very poorly trained management.

the hotel side is lovely best nights sleep ive had in ages got up feeling hungry wow what a disappointment everything was black overcooked and inedible I asked for poached eggs which were hard the bacon and sausage was cremated even the toaster was set on well done all I can say is the evening meals are pre cooked just warm through thank goodness

arrived at 2pm on the 15/9/2016 my wife and 1 ordered two whole tail scampi and chips the service was quick and the food was as good as on previous visits,ordered one lager and one large orange drink bill came to £16.75 excellent value.also recommend the rib eyed steak.

Went to Meadow Farm for a friends Birthday. We did notmake a reservation and when we arrived it was very busy. WE were told there would be a20 minute wait for the table which was about right. Whilst we were waiting we went to the bar to order some drinks but the var staff were really slow. Upon being seated our food orders were quickly taken and the meals were serves quickly. All of our meals were good except for the water mealon cheese cake that ine of us had for desert which was a bit bland. Whilst we were esting our mains we ordered some ore drinks with the waitess. We had to ask a out our drinks after about 10-15 minutes as we had not ben served them.Overall food was good but bar service let the experience down.

11 of us went for my wife's birthday we booked the day before when we got there and asked for our table they just pointed and says it's it's down there went to the bar and only one serving she did not know who was next and just served any one when the man who pointed to our table came behind the bar I says that if the was enough behind the bar this might not happen he says you will water longer now and walked away after all that we decided to stay and order our food it came out after about 25 min all except 1 most of us had finished our meal before my daughter in law's came out it spoiled a special day for my wifes birthday I will not be back

We regularly go here as it is close to home, and we prefer the food & service they provide here. There is an option of waitress service if you sit inside. In over 20 visits, we have only had one cause to complain, and that was quickly rectified.They also cover the Xmas period with good value for money meals, however, like most places, if you don't book early, then you will be disappointed - and it does get packed on the day.The 2 for 1 meals are great and you are not constrained by the menu, as there are other choices on the board.If visiting, then there is also a hotel/motel right next day.I even went last Rememberance Day and got a free pint as I am a Royal Navy Submarine Veteran!

Fully serviced restaurant, 2 for 1 on all meals and specials. Good value and decent food, staff friendly!
