Nice part of Lichfield great choice of beers.

Have to say Diana milky and Robbie are great always polite and are great at their jobs, must say I’ll come back again 100%.

Had a great evening here. Service was exceptional. We were served by Milly on the bar who provided great customer service and made our experience even more enjoyable. Would recommend for cheap drinks and great service.

Last night came into the pub. Had a lovely meal, curry club deals at their finest and had brilliant bar service from Milly. 10/10

Food portions and the food in terms of flavour was poor. No detail needed as you can see for yourselves. We had asked a waiter/waitress to come and clean out the table. The first one came in and did a good job by cleaning the table of the plates but did not return to finish the job and then the second one who came to wipe down the table, asked us to wipe it down for them. At first glance, it was a mix of clean and cleared tables and messy, dirty tables. I saw numerous plates filled with food awaiting to be dished out to customers, which indicates slow service.

We had a traditional breakfast only Luke warm could have been a lot hotter and the bacon was raw needed to be cooked a lot longer

The place was very dirty and in a state of disrepair. A baby vomited on the table next to us, and despite informing the staff, it took them half an hour to clean it up. During that time, people were sitting at the table before realizing the mess. The only positive aspect was the generous portion of onion rings and chips with the burgers.

Went on a Thursday approx 2pm, it was busy hence staff rushed, queue at the bar, serving out of turn, 3/4 wait for fish and chips - lots of glasses stacked waiting to be cleaned. I realise it was busy and a peak time but we have been in other weatherspoons at similar busy times where the staff seemed to cope better notably Swadlincote as an example. Beer (Ruddles) tasted good.

Had a pint of Abbots and it tasted like vinegar. No thanks.

Enjoyed nice food and drinks in the beer garden. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

The food was amazing definitely recomend coming here if your out and about and the chicken stripes burger is amazing 👏 🤩

Absolutely shocking service, I ordered food and a drink over an hour ago whilst it was bassicly empty on a Tuesday evening. Will not be coming back and advise people to never come here!!!

Recommend Friday's for food 12 until 2 , tables always clean and tidy. Kirk very hard worker along with Ellen, and James and Jermaine. Brilliant behind the bar.

Staff detailed to clear tables would have helped. Great to have toilets on the same floor as the bar and the outside seating was a bonus, as few actual smokers there. Pleased to see a simple curry available.

A bit of negativity for the Acorn with reviews on Google Maps. I am completely the opposite. I liked the place a lot. We went for any 3 small plates for £14.95. Pizza 🍕 it is then. Pepperoni, Ham & Mushroom, Spicy Meat Feast. The meat feast was spicy it was hot 🔥 🥵 Harry sorted our order. The drinks and food were spot on. The Acorn is a lovely example of a Wetherspoons pub. I loved the decor, especially the large circular lights in the roof. The bridge in the sky with the balcony. Toilets were clean, more soap in the first dispenser, apart from that better than the last half dozen Witherspoons I gave been in. Well done, Harry and the Acorn.

.Beer and food are ok but it was a much better pub when it had competition from the other Witherspoons pub near by .Since that was taken over around 6 years ago things not as good. Service for food was quick.Food back to.normal service with plenty of choice. Had the smaller fish and chips with peas. Tasty and just about the right amount . Lasagne is very good here too. A good portion well cooked and tasty.

I do like this Spoons and when we have an early doors (afternoon!) gathering we will more often than not come here. On this particular Saturday (21) although Pride was in town it wasn't what you'd call rammed in here. Yet there were literally tables everywhere not cleared. Dirty plates, glasses, cutlery everywhere. Most of the bar staff looked glum and fed up, one in particular. I took photos of the tables which I was going to upload but at the moment decided not. At times bar service can be a thankless job.....however at the same time if you annoy your customers they'll go elsewhere.......I'm due back in couple weeks, I'll see how it is!

Some Staff need lesson in manners 20 minutes waiting for drink went to bar showed them email receit made me get up wetherspoons app to check I ordered why!!!! I showed receipt, no sorry just face pulling and no manners totally disrespectful

Fish was undercooked chips were hard we waited half hour no apology wasn’t even busy. Tables were full of dirty plates and empty glass disgusting. Will not be using again.

Too loud and noisy. Toilets are awful and the service was slow. More attention to table service than bar service. Tables are full of used plates and cutlery. They have the staff, but there is no care for their jobs.

Very busy. We often pop in for a quick bite of lunch as it's priced well, and food is decent with a great choice. Can be very busy and hard to find a table at peak times.

Went there for breakfast the cook always does it how we ask for it to be done. Shall be going later for a pint.

I only gave it 5 stars as it's a spoons with a bog on the same floor as the bar! A rare occurrence.

Filthy everywhere. We eat and drink in Wetherspoons across the country every other weekend and always have a fabulous experience. This one was not good at all. Had to sit at uncleared tables with food debris everywhere (noticed a lot of other people were the same). Dirty glasses everywhere. The hot drink station looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Condiments ALL empty. Food came cold. I hate to write this because of our previous excellent experiences but this was bad.

The Acorn was calling us. We were halfway on our journey and Lichfield seemed like an ideal place to stop and have a spot of breakfast. And so we headed into The Acorn to sample the delights of the towns Wetherspoons pub. Everything was in it's place just as it is in every other 'Spoons in the country. Bar, crappy, awful carpet, a few booths offering a tiny amount of privacy. It was all there. Now time for food... Two traditional breakfasts soon arrived and looked to be heading into the top echelons of our Wetherspoons food marking system. Bacon cooked and hot. Sausage not charred and similarly warm. Toast toasted to perfection and butter in a slab rather than the fluid that often appears. Beans that looked reasonably fresh and not possessing a skin on the surface that would need carving through. Hash browns with a potato centre that was positively molten completed the feast. The coffee was a welcome addition and the meal was a triumph. And Lichfield was well worth the visit. Recommended.

Great service from Danni, which makes a change to the usual service we get here. She pulled a good pint and found me a straw when I asked for one.

Dani, a lovely girl who works there came and cleaned down the booth we sat at to make it clean. We ordered drinks on the app and they arrived really quickly. Very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Not too busy and a very pleasant environment to be in. I have to say that the staff here work hard to make your visit a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. Thanks to Dani again. Looking after us and keeping everywhere looking good.

Came for a quick lunch, and ordered a double American cheeseburger. No cheese, no gherkin, no salad and two burned to a crisp burgers. No side salad and about 9 chips. The worst spoons food I've ever had and I visit them all over the country.

Came for a meal here recently had a small issue with one of our main courses, asked to speak to a manager. Kayleigh was lovely, professional and the issue was sorted straight away. She's an asset to the company. Will most certainly be returning

My ‘local’ for 17years, always a warm welcome from very friendly hard working, efficient, and professional staff. One in particular Kayleigh, who was recently promoted to a supervisory position, a fine decision by Management, for her personality, customer care, highly motivated, a credit to Wetherspoons!

As someone with anxiety, spoons can be very overwhelming - especially when the bar is busy. Harriet was so patient and friendly and immediately put me at ease. 10/10 service!

Popped in for a quick coffee on Monday, wasn't too busy and was fairly tidy. It was easy to get a seat. Was served by a Kayley, she was friendly and quick. She complimented me on my hair, really appreciated the kindness! Made my day! Staff generally all seemed polite, had a good atmosphere. Would go again.

I’ve been to the acorn inn a fair amount times recently and the service has always been spot on, and the bar staff are always so welcoming upon arrival. Recently been served a few times by a girl called milly r on the till and she’s always been so chatty and friendly every time I get a drink.

Had a few drinks here, which was nice and Kayleigh made our experience extra special making us feel at home and being helpful and polite. Would visit again just to chat with her.

I had some amazing food today i ordered on the app I had the buttermilk chicken burger and chips it was sooo tasty and I have to say the young lady that brought my food over was such a joy and so pleasant and bubbly she really did brighten up my day her name was India she had the coolest hair

Excellent service from a team member called Kayleigh who brought the food over quickly and nade sure my neal was not just okay but perfect. Also always going the extra mile mentioning the usage of app and made and brought it to my table swiftly. Couldn't have been happier! Food was astoningly well presented and delicious the drink I ordered from the bar had excellent service too. 1 staff member was running down the bar though. Definitely a health and safety scare as floors behind bars can be slippy. Overall brilliant experience.

Went for lunch here on a friday. Got the fish on the afternoon deal which is amazing value for money. Service was amazing from a lady called Chloe G. Would definitely come back if that sized fish is a fiver between 2-5.

Wandered into this place when we were in Lichfield for the day, I figured it was a safe bet as you know what you’re getting with Wetherspoons, right? Well, the staff were superb and service was super fast and friendly - and Kayleigh gave us good shopping tips for the rest of the day too, much appreciated!

Come into the pub quite often as it’s local and cheap … busy staff and nice food and drinks at a good price. Always good to have a laugh with Kayleigh who makes our visits more enjoyable.

Great wetherspoons experience, always enjoy stopping in here. Service is better than most wetherspoons too, Kayleigh did a fab job, we were being difficult and she was very patient with us and gave us everything we needed. Will definitely be back again soon.

Passed through Lichfield recently on the way to Wolverhampton. Dropped in for a spot of food and got to say I was impressed. I know what it’s like with pubs these days and the reputation some get but here service was spot on. I was served by Kayleigh. She was bright, energetic, there to help and you can’t ask more than that. Recommend.
