Waited in the queue, and they served some else

£14.60 for 2 pie, chips and curry sauce. The best thing about it was the curry sauce because it was hot but the pies and chips were cold. The steak and kidney pie was so cold it could have been taken out of the fridge. The outside was lukewarm but the inside as I said before was cold.

The evening special is always very busy! This means that the food is good and fresh!

superb portion sizes of chips , had two tinned roe delicious and the cod which had excellent crispy batter and fish tasted moist and plentiful, all in all excellent value including pot of curry sauce all for twenty quid. Additionally Id like to comment on another order made on Sunday, on discovering a pot of curry sauce was missing from order, a very kind lady from the shop turned up in no time with missing sauce plus a free bottle of coke, so thanks to her and what can I say apart from excellent customer service , plus mixed meat and large cod was genuinely delicious ,recommend using this chip shop!!

Very very good and good delivery

I've been here a couple of times and, although it can be busy, the food is worth the wait. Tha fish is fresh and the chips were really well cooked. I've had a donner kebab before and they are really good value. A small donner is massive with good amounts of meat and salad. The girls serving are really polite and friendly and I would recommend Olivers over any local chippy. 👍

Food is between 4* and 5 * service is always good 👍 when I've been there.

One of male staff he got mustache,also he warning glasses he is very very rude. The men don't know how to respect people,how to behave as a human,in my opinion he should take a lesson about how to behave with human. Oliver should fired them this kind of employee.

Order a mixed meat and chips and a large cod on the evening of the 24/07 and the next morning I was throwing up non stop at work and had to leave, it was the food from this place, never had food poisoning before, won't ever eat from here, they need to cook in a sanitary environment!

Complete waste of money. Awful chips, soggy pie, Almost stale sausage in batter. Never go there again. Absolutely no taste and that's with adding curry sauce to it !

Deliveroo order… 2 chicken kebab and chips… I watched the driver go from the chip shop in a different direction instead of coming to ours… he went round the long way.. took extra 20 minutes to get here.. it was obvious that he was doing a few deliveries.. when he got here he got the food out of a normal shopping bag.. I held the bag and it was freezing.. I told the driver that the food was cold.. he wasn’t bothered… he phoned Deliveroo.. and got back in his car, leaving the cold food with us… I was fuming.. I did a chat with Deliveroo and they said the most they could refund was £3.73… the food cost £16.. and it went in the bin.. after a big dispute with the guy he gave me a full refund… if anyone has the same experience as me I suggest you do the same to get your money back.. I will never order from this chip shop again

worst in England UK and quite possibly the world , and if you dont believe me go there any day around the 4pm time ..... I know when my food has been sitting for over an hour and turned all rubber like , this manager/owner is clueless , this is the 2nd Time I have been here ( I swore after the 1st Time I wasn't going back but hey ho I gave them a chance ) this has to be the worst Chip shop in Britain not only Birmingham ,,,, it is atrocious !!!! if you don't care what you are putting into your body ,, feel free to eat from here ,, its unreal ,,worst ever ,,, 1000000000000000000% terrible ,

Chips are nice and good portion size,but had a few lamb kebabs from there disgusting full of gristle, inedible, feels like you're crunching on bone, shame because otherwise decent chippy.

Great spot for having a cheap, quick but tasty lunch or dinner. The hand cut chips are devine and you get quite the abundance of food for the price you pay. Cod is cooked beautifully. The doner kebab is also great. I’m not personally a fan of the mixed kebab but my husband ordered it multiple times and he is very satisfied. The staff are wonderful and prompt. Thank you for your service and hard work!

Terrible service was ignored for over 5minutes some extremely fat woman was ordering the whole shops menu so nobody else was getting served or even looked at just to serve fatties face in the end we walked out

I immediately telephoned the restaurant and the little teenager who answered said sorry contact just eat, she then asked if I put in the right address, I think I know my address as I’ve lived here 17 years! unbothered absolutely disgusting thieving people!!

Had ordered for just eat in b23 chip was cold and rushed and most of the chip was crispy and it was very dry I only live 2 minutes round the corner food was delay and it was not the best fish was not crispy and. Was warm not fresh

Best chippy in the area in my opinion. Portions are always plenty and the staff sometimes give you a little extra. Food is delicious.

We had an Uber eats delivery today the cod, plaice and chips tasted very good. Our only criticism is that all the dishes were slightly under cooked the batter should have been crispy not soft and chewy and the chips were rather soft instead of being crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. However we will order again because of the value for money , the good flavour and freshness of the fish .

Such a lovely place, brilliant staff , amazing service. Fish was like a butter , melted straight away . Amazing chicken kebab. The guy wearing the glasses such a helpful person. Knows how to deal with the customers. Highly recommended. Try their chicken kebab, make sure order lightly battered cod . You will feel the taste of fish .

Great portions sizes, quality doner meat(love doner😋) and proper cod! Can be more pricey than nearby chippies. But it's quality here, love coming here for my weekly fix. Very clean and professional. Deffo recommend.

Me and my husband are still both suffering the effects of salmonella after eating chicken from here on Wednesday last week. Chicken kebab and chips on Wednesday evening, Thursday felt off all day by Friday, High temp, feeling very sick, extreme abdominal pain, followed by diarrhoea for the past 5 days. I am vulnerable and ended up in hospital and was told it’s salmonella and as my husband has it too was something we’d both eaten, which was the chippy. We ate different on the Thursday because I was feeling off. Absolute disgrace and I will never go near that place again, still not better yet a week later!!!! Place needs shutting down.

6 MONTHS AGO I WOULD HAVE GIVEN A 5 STAR REVIEW. 4 MONTHS AGO I ORDERED ON A TUESDAY. CHIPS WERE NOT TO THIER USUAL STANDARD (MAY HAVE CHANGED OIL THAT DAY) AND THE FISH BATTER WAS SOGGY. ORDERED SATURDAY JUST GONE. FISH WAS LONG BUT IT WAS ULTRA THIN - LIKE THE FILLET HAD BEEN CUT IN 2- A FRACTION OF THE WEIGHT PREVIOUS LARGE CODS HAVE BEEN. THE CORNERS OF THE FISH (INSIDE BATTER) WAS DRY AS IF IT HAD BEEN UNDER THE HEAT FOR HOURS. WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

I bought a mini fish, a steak and kidney pie, small doner kebab in pitta bread and a cone of chips the only thing edible was the pie. How can doner meat be served looking like it's thinly sliced skin with the meat left behind. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

just bought piece of southern fried chicken ,gave me 2 pieces as they were very small,they were dried up and unedible ,waste of my money will never buy from there again as they knew what they were serving me appauling

Absolutely love this place. Pick up food with my children every Friday. The staff are so friendly. The quality of food is amazing and the portions are generous.

I thought the food quality was poor for the price you pay, I had the Tikka meat which was very rubbery, chips weren't the greatest either and they were freshly cooked, over priced and not worth it

The kebab meat was dry (lamb) and it was like it had been drying up a while. The other meet was not too bad. The chips were really not that good where in the past they have been better. I WAS DISGUSTED THAT STAFF WERE CHEW GUM WHEN SERVING... Come on food outlets. Tell your staff NOT to chew food when serving, something we do not like and if an owner is happy to let staff do this it makes me wonder what the rest of the hygine is like. I just imagine spraying the food. I do not think I will be going back here again.

Went last night and saw the price for large cod and then took a look at the large cod and thought 'narr!' Long, skinny (not much bigger than a battered jumbo sausage), which is a shame because the food is nice and it's a clean shop. Decided to leave queue and go to Gabriel's for cheaper and much bigger at a similar quality. Instead of making smaller portions to maintain a price, just put the price up and give a LARGE fish as advertised. Not everyone is broke, but they do love a nice big portion of fish and chips and are often happy to pay a decent price for it.

Really disappointed always promote Atlantis and Olivers chippy as they are from the same family recommended today for a working lunch as i always get good food and service from here usually however today all the kebab meat was dry and over cooked and the chips seemed dry tough and recooked for some reason was so embarrassed for recommending i hoped this was a one off but judging by some of the reviews standards are slipping!! Will stick to Alantis chippy instead

Fish was to die for, will e going back soon

We had a small fish and chips meal special. The chips were only warm and extremely dry and tasteless. Very poor quality. I think they were the previous days. Won't be bothering with this shop again But good luck for those that do.

Disgusted...the pie i ordered must have been in and out of the microwave four times with the servers bare hands all over it, obviously I wasn't having it after that...No apologies or anything. I wonder if it's a common occurence?.

Beautiful fish ans chips, always ask for extra salt and vinegar and they always come through fresh! Fresh and hot even when delivered. Best fish and chips ive had in a loong time. Now my go to chippy. 😋

Decent food possibly little bit more expensive for the area

Me and my colleague got the fish both of them was oily to s..t, the batter wasn't cooked long enough and my fish wasn't cooked properly.

I had heard that this place was run by the same people who own Atlantis Fish Bar in Sutton Coldfield, so based on that thought i'd give it a go. The food standard was no way near that of Atlantis, the batter on the cod fish was just wrong, i even doubt the fish was actually cod!! As for the chips they were very oily and soggy. This place is overpriced for the quality of the food they provide. I'll be avoiding a revisit to Oliver's.

The chips were greasy and barely cooked well. It all seemed overpriced but you think 'Oh maybe it's quality' - No, not even close. We also had a Kebab which was supposed to be a large but came in a small pita, so everything just flows out. Pointless.

Have to give their website a 4 as it gives you a message saying they are closed and their website is closed but call to order. I am presuming the website is down for maintenance as when I called they said yes they were open and I could order through Ubereats or deliveroo... So I placed an order through Ubereats and food came promptly, it was hot, and the Order was correct too👍🏻..A bit pricier than other local chippies but well worth it...
