Fantastic weekend stay at Cromwell's! We haven't been before but will 100% return. They had a 'deep south and blues' event on during our stay which made our weekend. Amazing food and drinks. We were told the beers were imported from america. They had some live music on which was fantastic! They said they have events on throughout the year, so will look to see what we fancy and hopefully return.

We came here for dinner while staying in a holiday let just up the road and enjoyed it so much we came back for a second time later in the week. From the outside it looks like your typical country pub but the food was definitely not typical pub grub! Both my husband and I said it was one of the best curry meals we have ever had, the food was delicious and the lamb in my husbands curry was beautiful and tender. Also the beer was very well kept. Lovely friendly staff, will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

We've been several times and it feels like the quality has dropped a bit lately. Food choices were not as good as before, prices a fair bit higher and the quality was not very good at all. It just didn't look appetising. There was hardly anyone else there so I'm wondering if other people feel the same. Real shame as we've previously had some lovely meals there.

We reserved a table for the Tex-Mex special menu (2 May to 26 June) on Sunday 25 May (Note Monday 26 is a bank holiday too) - they had run out of Chilli for the natcho starter, so we picked some starters off of the normal pub menu (which were ok), but were THEN told that they had no flat bread to do the main meals (fajitas or enchiladas) - at that point we paid and left. Had a good meal elsewhere. The waiter needed more training and a better memory - did not know the 2 beers on the bar, and had to come back 10 seconds after we ordered 3 starters to ask what they were again. Not planning on going back there...

This Pub has everything, great location, great premises, good staff. But the food is poor. I had to return the meal and did not ask for another. My wife had to return hers as the food was dry and overcooked, the returned meal was not much better. We were very disappointed. This is the third time of disappointment as we returned each time to see if things had improved but not so! No senior staff got involved or seemed interested. The staff must know there is a problem as upon complaining they stated that a new chef had been poached from another restaurant and would be starting in a few months? we will not be going back.

Old fashioned pub, beams, fireplace, circa 18th Centuary. Serving Joules real ales, plus a selection of good wine, Lager and cider large selection of gin and other spirits. Does not serve food but you are welcome to bring your own in. Friendly staff and landlord, usually a good atmosphear. Just had toilets refurbished

We visited on a bright May Monday afternoon as part of a set-meal deal with buyagift. So not an expensive meal, as we had a glass of prosecco by way of a welcome drink. We then had two courses, accompanied by a glass of wine each. The food was good, not exceptional but good. I've certainly had better steaks, but it wasn't bad. The beetroot and goat cheese salad was ok, again not exceptional, and probably didn't take a lot to prepare. A nice blend of beetroot, goats cheese and nuts. The views from the 25th floor are very good, we sat looking across the city to Egbaston Cricket ground. The service was very relaxed, not rushed with our waiter being very polite, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our visit, and we'd certainly consider visiting again, on a deal.
