Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff, always friendly and warm. Food has improved so much in last 12 months, particularly like having a light bite option for lunch. Still plenty to choose from and always tastes fresh.

Fabulous Sunday roast. Arrived on speck and was squeezed in by a very helpful Waitress. Food arrived piping hot and portion was great, especially after a 5 mile walk. Look forward to going again soon

Sadly gone down hill. Food quality average at best and service extremely slow. Using the excuse that that they are busy doesn’t cut it I’m afraid.. They have a booking system, so know how busy they will be… therefore should employ enough staff to cope. Sunday lunch is now over priced for the quality and portion size. We booked for very special birthday celebration and no fuss was made whatsoever. Will not be back unless standards improve to how they were 2 years or so ago…

Cheap and nasty food at expense prices! Really not enjoyable! Very small portions as well, which is probably a good thing! Paid £2.50 (or maybe £3.50?) for onion rings and got 2 of them! Very disappointed

Sorry to say a family birthday Sunday lunch last week was terrible. We've been to dog many times and thought it was a great place. In February we went and it wasn't up to it'd usual standard but everyone has an off day? But last Sunday it was terrible 😕 40mins to take our order another 40 for it to arrive. The portions were so small for a Sunday diner we thought they were child meals. After waiting 20 mins for the bill decided to go to the bar to speed things up but know. Sorry guys you've lost to families who regularly go 😢😢😢

Yesterday we went for lunch there was 4 of us me and my husband have been several times for Sunday lunch either as two or six of us and I must say if yesterday was the first time there would have been no other visits the service was slow then food was no were as good as previous visits ordered we ordered sides to go with roast they did not arrive at the same time and then only one cauliflower cheese arrived not the two we ordered but again this was not very good. I feel portion size was smaller than normal but was more expensive.

Had a few really good nights there on quiz night. The food is awesome and the staff are friendly and fun

A regular haunt. Love the Thursday evening pub quiz! We often treat ourselves to a meal beforehand and the food is always delicious. The Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Better than our last visit. Staff friendly and helpful. Food Good for money paid as with many Marston's pubs. 😎 ... Starter ok but oil food cooked in needed changing and tasted old/reesty. Main course Tart was nice but once again small fried potatoes had the same old cooking oil flavour, hence overall 3 stars. Service friendly and efficient 🤓

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night with family. We did have a 40 mins wait for mains to be served but we weren't in a rush and so enjoyed drinks and chat before it arrived. Definitely recommend to others. We did have a 30% voucher which encouraged us to try the restaurant again after a long time away.

Lovely food but the pastry on the ham hock pie was hard. The pub is decorated nicely and it was warm and cosy. Great choice of menu. Friendly staff and quick service even though they were busy.

Ok. Underwhelming food- friendly welcome at the desk. We went with a voucher. It's pub grub. Decent amount of parking and looks to have a good pub garden with views when nicer weather

Went for lunch and the food was average at best. All the staff were friendly and efficient apart from the one who had obviously mislaid her patience and sense of humour.

The mains were amazing and we are very familiar with the pub so knew we’d have a nice time . Unfortunately the crumble on the crumble was a stodge and I personally couldn’t eat it as it had a peculiar taste. On a more positive note the staff and in particular, Aleece was an absolute delight and so engaging and personable. I’d recommend to anyone. We were celebrating a small occasion and it felt like we have . Thank you for a lovely evening Aleece and staff x

Went for my birthday, ordered chicken flat breads the chicken was raw in the middle. Also, the hunters chicken was so touch we couldn't cut it with a steak knife. Asked to speak to the manager which took 17 minutes, she was rude and condescending until challenged. She did offer to cover the bill however it was too little too late and refused to accept an apology due to her poor attitude. I wouldn't recommend The Dog and we will never return

We went for lunch and took our dog ,the staff were friendly and helpful ,the food was very nice ,there was a good selection of drinks and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing .It's been a while since we've been but will be going again soon .

Went in for a birthday meal , one of the starters on the fixed menu not available , shrug of shoulders “ we have been busy”. No offer of anything similar and seemingly disinterested staff member. Would not recommend - first time and the last. Had drinks ( pricey anyway ) and left

Visited here on the way back from Little Owl Farm, firstly ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich, that arrived with no bacon. But couldn’t find a member of staff to tell them until I’d nearly eaten the sandwich. and no check back done. Then we ordered a kids fruit salad pineapple, raspberry’s, strawberry’s. But only received strawberry’s literally 3 strawberry’s cut into pieces. Would not rush back here.

As always lovely food friendly staff, the dog is special to us as our first date was there 20 years ago 🥰

We had a table for 11 in the cosy Dog House. Service was excellent and the food was really great. 11 mains all arrived together and delicious. Well done chef! This was my wife’s birthday and I am so pleased I picked The Dog. Will be back soon 🤩

So surprised with the quality and taste of food for the price, extremely good value! Even better that I could use my blue light card for extra discount as I work for the nhs. The pub has a lovely homely feel to it and felt very warm and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and efficient. Will definitely recommend to friends and family as be coming again 😊

Waited to be seated, no-one around. Waited 15 mins for a drink, went to the bar and was told she'd come over. 10 mins later, still nothing!

Lovely place, Brilliant food, If you’re passing by it’s worth a visit, All the staff are friendly, Stefan I think his name was, Absolutely above and beyond! Will be back soon!!

A lovely find… wonderful pitstop… lovely food… staff were fab… just a lovely chill atmosphere and amazing playlist… would make the effort to make a detour return if we are back down that way… thank you xx

This is a beautiful old building in a lovely part of Worcestershire. The ambience is just great and it has a wonderful beer garden with a nearby public right of way if you fancy a stroll. There’s always at least one good beer on tap, too. Sadly, The Dog at Harvington is badly let down by the quality of its food. The menu makes it out to be delicious but really, it’s delivered ready-wrapped and heated up in the kitchen. The service is, well, ok. In summary, good for a beer and packet of crisps. But pay for more and you’ll be disappointed!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If Stefan isn’t the Picasso of the kitchen, then I don’t know who is. I mean, he managed to turn a potato into a life-changing experience. The man’s a culinary wizard—he whipped up a dish so delicious I think it unlocked a childhood memory I didn’t even know I had. His fish and chips? An edible love letter. His desserts? I suspect witchcraft, because there’s no way something tastes that good without a deal with the food gods. And don’t even get me started on his signature dish, ‘Stefan’s Mystery Surprise’—I still don’t know what was in it, but I’d fight a bear to eat it again. Also, the way he flambéed that steak? I thought the fire alarm would go off, but it was just my soul ascending from joy. Chef Stefan, you’re the reason stretchy pants exist, and for that, I thank you.

Service and food was brilliant, will be returning and would definitely recommend.

Epic Christmas Day dinner. Full table service on the day. Lovely friendly staff and amazing food. So lovely that we could bring our whippet Willow along too, making it a full family occasion (we requested an appropriate table on booking). We did the first 12pm serving and never felt rushed. We'll be back... worth every penny to make Christmas special. Kudos to all who worked as we tucked in 👌☃️🎅❄️🍾

Another very nice visit to the Dog. Pleasant atmosphere, good beer and great service. Can't ask for more.

We had 3 roast dinners which were all cold and lacking enough on the plate to satisfy us. The heating was only working in a small part of the restaurant were the lighting was so dark you couldn't see what you were eating. Really disappointing as we have previously visited and had a good meal.

We were a party of 8. Service and quality of food was excellent with no issues. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very enjoyable experience thank you.

Dropped in when passing and so glad we did the food was great all Cooked perfectly. The staff was all lovely and very friendly.

Staff were super helpful and attentive, can't think of any negatives. My daughter and I both enjoyed our burgers and we think your chips are delicious. We are highly likely to return in the next few months as we regularly travel between Bristol and Stourbridge, you guys arr becoming our favourite go to. Thanks all

Lovely pub in the picturesque setting of Harvington with large car park. Typical pub food but good quality and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely place to visit, with a warm and cosy feel. Food was very nice and the service was great.

Atmosphere was welcoming, although a bit chilly where we sat by entrance to the dining section. Hunters chicken was tasty, chips were OK however we asked for double salad instead of chips and we got green leaves, no other salad ingredients. We ordered some desserts which were OK however the crumble was dried with not enough fruit filling. Not too sure we would return. All in all it was OK and the staff were friendly.

Really enjoyable from the moment we walked through the door , our server was lovely and friendly and was always on hand if we needed anything . The food was so lovely and best meal we’ve had in a long time . We will definitely be returning in the future .

The area we sat in was cold. Although the management knew about this issue, ie the expanse of single glazed windows, they have done nothing to improve the situation. The Christmas fare was average, spoilt by the gravy, which was not a good match for the turkey. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

We regularly visit as a large group for family celebrations. Great menu and atmosphere, reasonably priced and good location. Nice choice of vegetarian options. Lovely, friendly service as usual from Aleece and another young man

Two Scot’s brothers & thier family dog travelled to Kidderminster to look at buying a van found this pub just along the road, found the name appealing, the food was great, staff were very friendly & beer was good although no tennent’s🤣🤣 we camped up in our camper van in the car park, we bought the van & done the same trip 6 days later and got to know the girls better. A big thankyou to Anna, Emily& Emma for welcoming us we will be back to see you all next year. Mike, Harry & Sara the dog xx

27/10/24 After being let down at another pub, even though these guys were very busy, they found us a table and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, service and setting, the apple and cherry crumble was soooooo good ❤️ Once back from our honeymoon we will be returning for another meal or 2 ❤️ 17/11/24 WELL! after a 3 week honeymoon we returned here today for a final meal before we return to work, what can I say, same meals, same deserts, same fantastic service. We would highly recommend this Pub/Resturant to anyone looking for a relaxed evening out for a nice meal at a fantastic location with brilliant service ❤️

Delicious Sunday lunch quick service good price

After being badly let down by another local pub we came here, explained what had happened and they found us a table, the food, service and atmosphere is fantastic, a lovely place to eat, we will highly recommend and will be coming back. The Apple and Cherry Crumble with Custard was awesome ❤️❤️

I haven't been to the dog for many a year, looks like I've been missing out, a charming, warm pub with very friendly, accommodating staff, fantastic selection of drinks and meals. I can't find any fault with the service or meals we received and would recommend the dog to anyone local or passing through.

Friendly and welcoming, had our dog so sat outside until it rained then relocated inside staff helped arranged seating and table so we wher all together

Went in for a Drink. A bit disappointed with the fact a lot of tables were reserved in the bar area!!! We wanted to sit in the bay window but reserved on it! So had to sit at the back of room which was dark and glumly! And nobody used the table in the bay window while we were there! So could have sat there and with only having a drink we wouldn’t have messed up the table.

Relaxed and comfortable lunch.....nothing too much trouble, we decided on the three courses for £18.50 for lunch. The menu was very good with plenty of choices available. Food was tasty and well presented and good portions. Anna and the team were friendly and helpful, which made all the difference for our treat at the Dog. Thank You.

I have already recommended The Dog to family. We had a wonderful meal here. The food was tasty and one of the best pub meals we have had in the last year. The staff are really friendly and helpful and there is a nice atmosphere. We eill definitely be returning.

We were greeted at the door and escorted to a table. There was plenty of room, no crowded feeling. The choice of food was good, the meals arrived quite quickly and were excellent.
