Booked a table online for Sunday lunch which was easy to do. The staff were welcoming and seated us straight away and left us to look through the menu, which has a decent amount to offer. We all decided on the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint, very well presented and everything was well cooked and was really good quality, even our 9 year old who doesn't normally finish a roast ate the lot. We would have tried a pudding but were too full. Definitely worth a try!

Further to my friend’s review (Keeley C) the four of us were invited back for a meal on Saturday evening. It was such a different experience to our visit a few weeks ago. We had a lovely table in the dining area where there was a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious, well cooked and well presented. We were well looked after by Anna who was very knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond. Thanks so much to Danni and your team. We could not fault anything and will definitely be back.

Excellent food and Wainwright’s best bitter, great dinner. Burger’s were excellent and my wife had the sea bass, a good portion. We got a 30% discount that made it even better value

Lovely staff, food and surroundings. My husband asked for a rare steak and was really pleased with what he got. It was rare and not medium as so often is the case when he orders steak. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Made to feel very welcome in the bar with our dog Skye. Food was great we just had a burger, a kebab skewer and some drinks.. The staff were so friendly, they loved the dog.. made a huge fuss over her, gave her treats and a bit of turkey too.. Great job all at The Dog, a lovely atmosphere.

Enjoyed a really lovely lunch here today. Booked beforehand for the garden, but on arrival we changed our minds as weather not as expected. The very welcoming member of staff was more than happy to find us a table inside. The food and service were excellent, and the pub itself is very pleasant and relaxing. Would definitely recommend. Chicken and mushroom pie wonderful!

I've enjoyed going to this pub for many years, unfortunately it's only on sad occasions now. But still a great boozer

Great place to eat and drink. Great garden with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Staff are amazing and really friendly. Dogs are allowed in the bar area.

We booked a Wednesday special offer meal of a pie and a pint of your choice according to the website Upon arrival we were told that the drinks available were only ales or lager or soft drinks this was disappointing as my girlfriend only drinks Guinness and I only drink cider so we questioned this with staff to be told that there was nothing they could do about it as the tills would not let any other drinks than what they were offering So anyone else thinking off this offer beware of the drinks situation

Visited saturday night, the food was good, we were served by ellie, would recommend.

Came in for a quick bite to eat, and wasn't dissapointed! The food was lovely I recommend the homemade kebabs they're to die for! And our evening couldn't of been more accommodated for by ellie! She was such a delight and ready to help up with all our needs.

Wow! What a nice little quaint pub I've been a few times now and everytime I seem to have ellie whether it be taking our order or on the bar and she's such a little star! Always going the extra mile! I'll always keep coming back with service like this

Our grandson's 18th Birthday party was held at the The Dog last night. What an awesome experience!! The welcome, front of house team and quality of food exceeded all our expectations and well deserved the five star review given. Special mention of Ellie must be made. She was superb - looking after us, sorting everything to make the evening such an amazing success. Well done Ellie you're a star.

Welcomed and directed to superb reserved seating. Orders are placed at the bar, food is then brought to the table. Food quality was excellent and prices are reasonable. Overall, the place was welcoming, and we enjoyed our food and drinks.

We were greeted at the door and escorted to a table. There was plenty of room, no crowded feeling. The choice of food was good, the meals arrived quite quickly and were excellent.

Horrendously understaffed, waited over 2 hours for mains. Asked for cutlery, as there weren’t enough knives after we’d had starters. Waitress was snippy, dismissive and defensive. Food was lukewarm, glasses weren’t cleared, we did this ourselves. Table wasn’t cleared for ages. Such a shame, could be an amazing pub, but let down badly by lack of service.

We went for Sunday lunch and both had the trio of meats. The portion size was excellent and the food really tasty, plus the staff were really friendly! Will definitely be back 😃

Disgusting letting dogs where customers have to eat .problem is you only cater for them and not customers who don't like dogs in restaurant wont be coming again . The food was awful. Everything we asked for you hadn't got absolutely rubbish.

A belated Father’s Day for my husband. The food was great and the service even better. Liam was fantastic, offering us drinks just as our last were finished, going to the trouble of calling the kid’s turkey dinner a chicken dinner because my daughter is a fusspot and just generally being really friendly and attentive. Genuinely the type of service that rarely see in the UK Thanks again for a lovely meal :)

An absolute car crash of an experience..if there was an option of zero stars that would be more appropriate....We booked for a double family birthday meal on 22.6.24..from the get go it was obvious there were problems...we arrived at 7pm...our orders for starters wasn't taken till 7.45..we received them at 8.15...my daughters food was still frozen..main meals arrived at 8.45...mine and my 4 year old granddaughters were raw..and my husbands food was still frozen..

Me and the girls came for our monthly get together, tried somewhere we had not been before. Food was lovely, and service was great. Cant fault any part of our visit! Clean and tidy pub, with friendly staff. Will be visiting again.

We had booked for a double birthday celebration. We were really looking forward to the meal as we had been here before but we left very disappointed. I understand that there were issues in the kitchen beyond anyone's control however I felt that the kitchen should have been closed. I also feel with all the delays and short staffing we should have been informed when we arrived. We didn't eat any meals in the end and had to leave them. The quality of the food was shocking and it shouldn't have left the kitchen. We had been served undercooked chicken, fish goujons with raw batter and frozen mash. The front of house was excellent and was understanding and apologetic. I feel that if the kitchen were that understaffed and it was having a detrimental effect on the service it would be better just not to serve food and just serve drinks. I think people would be understanding given the situation and rebooked. I don't think will rebook now and that's due to management decisions. We don't often have time to get together for a meal as a family so it's a real shame how it ended. We didn't have to pay for the food but it did ruin the evening and what should have been a lovely meal for birthdays.

We came for lunch with my children ,the food was beautiful. I had the signature burger and will definitely be coming back again . All the staff were friendly and really good with the children. Can not fault the pub , have a lovely experience

Nice pub first time visiting the service was good very pleasant young man who served our table. We had starters which was lovely but unfortunately I had a sirloin steak for my main meal which had alot of grizzle on it which was unedable . When I told the waiter he was able to reduct the steak off the bill. So all in all we received good service

I went either my mom who's my carer as I'm disabled. They had a psychic fayre on and as I went to sit in an empty chair a staff member told me that I couldn't sit there as the bar table was reserved (there were no reserved signs on it) We were told by the bar staff that if we wanted a drink we'd have to stand outside. I saw the advertisement on a sandwich board as I drove past and nothing stated that I had to book a table if I wanted a drink. It's bad enough being discriminated against on most days but they made me feel like a naughty dog who had to be put outside. I was so upset that it completely put me off going out all together, you shouldn't be made to stand outside to drink, regardless of whether you're disabled or not

Usually a lovely venue for a family celebration meal, was very disappointing this time. Staff were lovely and attentive, but the food was a severe let down. Will not be going back in a hurry.

Visited for a family meal 2 adults one child and a dog. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We sat outside in the rear garden. Food was prepared quickly and tasted great. We had the whole garden to ourselves which surprised us but we're not complaining. We always enjoy visiting the dog and will definitely be returning.

Myself and my husband use the dog frequently, i doubt i will be going back after the waitress attitude last night. The steak deal that i had no idea about until after id ordered ended up costing far more than shiuld have because the server didnt bother to mention a small wine was included in the deal?! She shrugged and walked away ... not great customer service?!

Good selection above average pub classics with good veggie options. Very dog friendly providing free biscuits and water, daily specials were good too. Good selection of beers and wines including some nice alcohol free stuff.

soup arrived in a badly chipped bowl seabass came on 4 baked potatoes 2 not even cooked properlt when i asked to change potatoes as i had lovely spring mash last time fish taken awsy sane fish on horrible mash partner had fried chicken mushrooms chicken obviously processed need to have more staff such a shame

Had not booked a table for lunch but the staff did help to secure a table for us in a busy pub. Lunch was delish and nice range of craft beers. Will certainly revisit.

After a disappointing time at a pub in bromsgrove, we stopped by the dog on our way home to Kidderminster, we were properly looked after by the team. Turned our day around. Aleece served us on the bar and was great, good banter and service. Have been here a few times before and always enjoyed it, but was extra impressed with the service and friendliness of all the team today. Food was a of good standard too. Very promptly prepared and delivered. Lovely experience 👍

We was welcomed when we arrived & shown to our table, the service was excellent Very friendly, helpful & polite, we w was as given a menu to choose, but was not asked what we like to drink until the lady came to take our food order. The food came in good time & i can honestly say both mine & my husbands meals was delicious, a really lovely meal, a lovely experience and we plan on returtuning very soon.

I really can't fault the place. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere and the food was excellent. They were also happy to adapt their menu, for our dietry needs. They welcome dogs with treats and water provided too. This is definitely a pub that I hope to return to again, with or without food, or my dog. Thank you for a lovely evening tonight.

We all had a lovely time being a party of 13 The food was excellent and served hot and very tasty. The service was impeccable friendly and efficient. We will be returning for our next aerobics ladies luncheon.

Need to find a head chef who knows what there doing an who can actually cook an take pride in food instead of having a stand in who takes everyone’s else’s credit an hasent got a clue shame really but if there’s a decline in food it’s because of this reason. No pride in the food being sent out an can show if the meat in on Sunday is tough it’s because this joker thinks it’s ok to freeze it for next week this dosent stop at meat she asso like to freeze cooked veg u wud be better off buying a raedy meal
