The best restaurants serving British food in Ludlow North Shropshire West Midlands

Tonight Tim brought us the Pork special in breadcrumbs with veg, a bacon and mushroom risotto ,bolognaise and piquant prawn starters with a delicious creamy rice pudding for afters. All were hot and delicious. What a treat to have a home delivery and be able to enjoy food without the washing up.Highly recommended if you live in or near Ludlow.Thanks to Chef Nick,the lovely Deborah and of course, Tim.

My wife and I visited Ludlow Tuesday 26th March, beautiful day, a few more shut down shops since our last visit, but a lovely stroll around the town was rewarded by the welcome and choice of Gluten Free food at the Wesleys Cafe, at a generour price.. Lovely volunteers helping, having a chat updating us on Ludlow activities. Well worth calling again on our next visit to Ludlow.

They forgot to leave a teaspoon in our room to stir our coffee - a dealbreaker obviously!😉 But seriously this was our second visit, this time for a Valentines treat and on both occasions everything was excellent, from the welcome on arrival, the quirky luxurious room, the wonderful food (we had the taster menu), the choice of drink and wine (especially the whiskey library - I had a great whiskey cocktail that I'd never had before), the friendly and efficient service to the breakfast before leaving. 5-star all the way!👍

A full English breakfast was what was called for on one of the worst days and that is what we ordered. It was delicious, filling tasty and one of the best breakfasts I have had away from home. The service was excellent . We had been recommended this place for quality and for value and it lived up to expectations

Lovely service with fine bone China cups and an excellent choice of teas. Friendly staff make it worth a visit each time we come to Ludlow.

Perfect English tea rooms very popular with tourists and locals it seems. We wished we could have had time to visit for a second time! We will certainly pop in next time we are in the area. Marvellous hidden gem this is!

Very friendly staff, good food, very children friendly, me and my family love going there for breakfast/lunch it's a lovely places to go for food

Given up ,no longer go into the conservatory due to the debacle that is ordering/leaving dog tied up !!! Decided whilst waiting for shop to open I would get a coffee from the pantry (as I had my dog with me )stood at door ,requested oat decaf cappuccino “ we don’t do oat milk” was the response Really !!! it’s all a joke now ,what’s happened to what was once a very special place to enjoy quality food and hospitality ?I have given up now.

Was recommended the ham egg & chips so had to visit t see if the recommendation was cosher ...... 👍it definitely was so good. Other half had the burger which he said was good. There was a good choice on the menu - but not too much that you cant make your mind up and it's definitely worth trying it if you want to taste for yourself. The staff were lovely - especially the barman - think his name was Steph and he was even working on his birthday 🎂. Was so impressed with the place will probably go back tomorrow and try something different.

Had dinner with two friends on a Saturday night. It was quiet and we couldn’t understand why. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and cosy with a nice fire. The small team looked after us extremely well and we had a very enjoyable evening. My English friend was raving about the quality of the food, she said that it was exceptional for an English pub to serve such good food. We thought it was good value and a really nice experience. Thank you.

Firstly, I recommend you reserve here rather than just try your luck and walk in. At 7pm on a Monday night, most tables were occupied. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our mains ( steak and kidney pudding and burger ) but I must highlight my dessert. . . hot chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream. . . delicious. Sunday lunch catch up with old friends over a nice roast dinner in a good atmosphere. The food was great and the staff were polite and attentive.
