Tonight Tim brought us the Pork special in breadcrumbs with veg, a bacon and mushroom risotto ,bolognaise and piquant prawn starters with a delicious creamy rice pudding for afters. All were hot and delicious. What a treat to have a home delivery and be able to enjoy food without the washing up.Highly recommended if you live in or near Ludlow. Thanks to Chef Nick, the lovely Deborah and of course, Tim.

Right by the river and in the open air, even on a late October morning, we were able to enjoy good coffee and tea, perfectly served, with croissant and gently spiced and moist traditional bread pudding. Shelter was provided by a giant umbrella and there was a small marquee as well as a cosy inside room for less clement weather.Service was very friendly and helpful. The riverside views and wildlife interest were a bonus - and would be at any time of year.

We found this riverside cafe by accident and what a find. We sat in the sun in the garden and was served by a friendly gentleman (sorry don’t know his name but he had his hair tied back). The cup of tea and piece of cake was lovely. Cups, plates, cutlery etc were very clean. We enjoyed it so much we called the next day and took home homemade lasagna it smelled delicious. All COVID precautions taken including track and trace. Hand sanitizer on table. A bit of beaten track but well worth finding, don’t think you will be disappointed. Will definitely visit again If in the area.

We came across this tiny place by chance actually on our way to investigate a riverside pub...we were very glad we stopped. The cafe is an unassuming little place off the main drag but at the edge of the river - a handful of tables outside at the back provided the perfect spot to while away an hour in the sun with the soothing sound of the river running past. Took the paper and enjoyed 2 filling and good value plates - an aubergine and halloumi bake and a chicken pie - service was perfect, helpful and friendly but never once hurrying us along - we lingered until we felt it rude to linger further...but could happily have sat there all afternoon. So much nicer than a sarnie from a chain coffee shop and almost the same price. Charming.

I organised a lunch party for 30 in February. My requests were all accommodated with efficiency, professionalism and lots of smiles! We agreed on details concerning menu and table decorations in advance and Tim served the food while Nick and Deborah contributed from the kitchen. We had an apéritif, a hot vegetarian main course and salad followed by a choice of 2 desserts. Good house wine. Tea and coffee to finish. We used one of the rooms of the attached Ludlow Mascall Centre. We can all thoroughly recommend both the café and LMC. The staff helped make this special occasion most memorable. Thankyou. We will return!

My wife and I are Ludlow fanatics, visiting regularly for about 20 years. Many times we have walked past this cafe having parked in the adjacent car park but not any more! The menu is varied, the quality of the food using local ingredients is very good and the service is perfect. All the staff are welcoming and pleasant, the cafe is rather quiet but bright and airy, a welcome change from the smaller, crowded cafes in the centre of Ludlow.Pea Green Cafe may be a little out of the way but is well worth the visit and plenty of parking in their own car park or the council car park adjacent.

Great place to spend a couple of hours - good was lovely, and just the right amount for a lunch time (though we did share a dessert). Prices are good, so that you feel you haven't been ripped off. Service was very good - attentive without hovering! Good glass of wine, tasty main courses and lovely puds to choose from. Excellent coffee. Only little point to comment on, was that the bread was ordinary sliced loaf - would have been great with a slice from a bakery loaf, rather than was seemed like Supermarket bread! Would definitely go back.

Not quite sure how to review Pea reen Cafe!Nice airy place, friendly service, food was nicely done. But why wasn't it more busy ?Everthing seemed dinky, even the portions (good job we are not big eaters). Nothing wrong with my scrambled eggs on toast (with extra strip of bacon), but served on a plate as big as saucer, with a very small round of bread. My wife blinked when she saw the tiny dish of porridge..Nothing wrong with anything, but not a place for a hearty eater.Perhaps a reason it was quite ?

It does not even deserve a 1*As we sat down outside we were greeted ( not so greeted ) with a angry man who shouted ‘these benches are for customers only’ to which I replied my husband just gone in to order food and drinks while we wait to which he looked at my toddler who was eating her own food and said well that wasn’t purchased here.. apparently there policy states no food and drink is to be brung into the establishment. Fair enough we were sat outside which I believe its the grounds of a church! A sign which states everyone welcome and a very angry man. I am not surprised this place was empty at 1pm in the afternoon on a busy sunny Saturday. We as a family are all about keeping local businesses in business, but this one does not deserve no business. Shame on you. Avoid with CAUTION!!!

Called in to this restaurant today with the family to buy us all a meal but because the toddler had her own food we were all told to leave although we were sat outside in the car park bench. Lost out on 4 meals and 4 drinks because a toddler had there own. Great community spirit hence why they say everyone welcome outside. Avoid the place....

We really enjoyed our brunch here, it was hard to choose from the varied menu. Freshly cooked, good value, friendly and helpful staff willing to mix and match from the menu. Light airy surroundings, car parking, can pay by card. We have often passed by after the cafe closes at 3pm, we will try to visit Ludlow earlier in future! Plenty of vegetarian options, we did not enquire about vegan this time (a lot of the recipes contain cheese). Interesting cakes and good coffee.

A picturesque place for breakfast, coffee or lunch in Ludlow, and very near one of the main car parks. Not at all busy at Breakfast time when I went. On arrival we were welcomed with a cheery 'Welcome' and invited to choose a table. Whilst it wasn't busy, during our stay there was a steady flow of arrivals, many of whom seemed known to the staff - a sure sign of decent fayre at a reasonable price in our experience and we weren't disappointed: the savory rice was a very tasty accompaniment to the chicken kebab special, and the side salad didn't skimp either; the lasagne was delicious with a very cheesy topping; and the smoked salmon scrambled eggs was cooked perfectly and contained lots of salmon. To top it off, the bread and butter pudding was 'to die for' (high praise from my other half) and the salted caramel crunch was made with the most salty and mouthwatering caramel sauce and icecream we've ever had. We will definitely return.

This cafe is a little outside the town centre so has to be sought out, but worth it if you find it. Nice selection of mains; two of us had mushroom stroganoff (a special) and the others had savoury rice with Cajun chicken, all very nice and freshly prepared. Puds included salted caramel crunch, with a sauce that was properly salty, not just pretending to be! Nice, friendly, attentive service. Note they’re usually open until 3 only (and Tues-Sat currently) but offer a free home delivery service (also Tues-Sat) during the evenings within a 5 mile radius.

You usually know what sort of thing to expect at a cafe offering light lunches, but this one is a bit different. The menu is unusual and appealing, and everything seemed freshly prepared. The place is light and airy, if a bit institutionally furnished; service is prompt and very friendly. There's free parking on site - a real bonus for Ludlow.

We chanced upon the this cafe as we followed the town trail. As it is approx two hundred yards from the town centre, down a slight hill, you wouldn't come across it very easily, but it's worth searching out. It's located in what seems to be an old church vestry or room, attached to a community centre. We were aware that ballet classes were being held in an adjoining room. If you want an interesting light lunch at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. My wife had the pear and blue cheese salad, whilst I had a crusty baguette with chicken, bacon and mayo - both were delicious and cost little more than £5.00 each. They also have a selection of delicious cakes and parties. We shared a pot of tea, which was readily topped-up. The manageress was a very pleasant lady who very willing to converse about the cafe etc.

Amazing from start to finish. We used a voucher for the tasting menu that we’d been given as a wedding gift having never been before and were blown away. The service is great, not too overbearing but informative and attentive. The food was 10 out of 10, every single course! The bread…out of this world. So good we had to take a loaf home! Highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back again. Thanks all!
