My wife and I visited Ludlow Tuesday 26th March, beautiful day, a few more shut down shops since our last visit, but a lovely stroll around the town was rewarded by the welcome and choice of Gluten Free food at the Wesleys Cafe, at a generour price.. Lovely volunteers helping, having a chat updating us on Ludlow activities. Well worth calling again on our next visit to Ludlow.

This little cafe is run and staffed by volunteers who clearly enjoy what they're doing and care about their customers. That's what sets it apart from the other cafes in town. The food is mostly homemade and the prices are reasonable.

This is a good place for a filling light-lunch (if that isn't too contradictory?). I had the delicious quiche which came with a small salad rather than just a garnish and crisps. The rest of the group had variety of sandwiches etc. which were all nicely presented, served with extras and with lots of suggestions from the staff. It was very good value for money and had a sign up saying they sourced their food locally. The staff are all volunteers it seems and are fun, lively and seem to get on well with each other. I am sure they will not be worried if I say that they are mostly from an age group who would normally be retired but who give the place a friendly atmosphere.

I came here with my wife for lunch while visiting Ludlow. Tea and coffee were served promptly, hot and delicious. The food took a little longer because it was heated (properly) in an oven not a microwave - which would have destroyed my delicious quiche. Good food friendly service - top notch.

Husband had the jacket potato with cheese. The potato was very small and the skin on the jacket was so over baked it couldn't be eaten. Only the inside could be consumed and the side salad was more of a garnish. All served up on a side plate rather than a dinner plate! When husband mentioned how overcooked the jacket was and how he could only eat the inside to one of the ladies there his complaint was dismissed and no apology given as if she couldn't care less..just said she'd mention it to the management. Would definitely not be recommending to anyone else!

This is the place to meet friends in the middle of the day to have a chat and have coffee or tea and, if you like, a light lunch. It is not open on Sunday's nor later in the afternoon. The staff are all volunteers and very kind and friendly. The food is delicious as long as you like cake, soup, toasties, sandwiches and salads, nothing very heavy.

Wesleys is not 5* or cordon bleu but if you want a cheap and familiar lunch served in a Methodist Church this is the place. It's manned by volunteers and as they say on antique programmes - it is what it is. No pretensions just cheap (compared to everywhere else in Ludlow) simple food.

We regularly visit this cafe with my two year old. A fantastic place to eat on a budget, it's all run by the community and they are ever so welcoming. We always go for the soup and quiche of the day as they are so delicious. They cater for young children providing you with plastic cutlery and plates, nice fair trade juice cartons and home made healthy food. We recommend this place to just about anyone we can as it does not advertise much. We do have to mention, the service is not express fast food restaurant, but we always get a nice meal and a nice chat!

I have visited here frequently. When you consider that this place is run by volunteers. They make exceptional soup and quiches, lovely freshly made sandwiches, with fresh salads. Again the cakes are homemade by supporters and volunteers. The nice thing is they will try to do what ever you want. They make you so welcome and all at a fraction of the price of other outlets in Lidlow

Coffee & Tea cake for less than £2.... lunch, cake & drink for less than £6! Profits go to local "good causes" What's not to like? Would have to say that Wednesday is the Pick for me, but all the volunteers have their own personality with a cheery smile..... You should DEFINITELY GO

This delightful cafe in the front of the Broad Street Methodist Church was a wonderful find. We popped in just to have a coffee and ended up staying for lunch. The welcome we received was second to none. Th cafe is run by volunteers whose priority is to look after their guests, to feed them second. Whilst we sat there, we noticed lots of single people coming in primarily for a chat. This is a church and the volunteers who run this business welcome everybody. We had homemade quiche and salad which was fresh and flavoursome. The place had a lovely "feel" about it, you felt special and part of a community. You were left on your own if you wanted and if you wanted to chat, that was available too. Completely unpretentious, a real find. We will be back.

Popped in for a quick lunch - bit of a secret amongst those in the know, Wesleys is part café part church. Opposite Lloyds bank in Broad Street. Staffed by volunteers (some happy, some not so.....) the café opens out into the beautiful Methodist church. The choice of food was excellent value, as always, well cooked and well presented. Tables limited to around 8, but fast turnaround and comfy waiting is provided. Proves you don't need to spend a fortune on decent food in Ludlow.

We stopped here to have a quick lunch, and thought it was excellent value. We both had quiche of the day, which was spinach and feta - lots of both, and with a really good crust. They came with a decent pile of freshly cut salad (not that horrible stuff that's brown at the edges like you so often get), coleslaw, and a few crisps. For £3.50 a pop, it was superb value. One cup of tea was as expected, though my coffee turned out to be instant rather than fresh. If it had cost me the same as at Costa I'd have balked, but it was so cheap I didn't even worry! The volunteers who staff the cafe were lovely and friendly, and the whole set-up is very quiet and calming. I'll be going back when I'm next in town.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The volunteers that work there are always friendly and really like to help. The food is always delicious and well presented. As soon as people see its in a church they turn away but I find it is actually one of the nicest places to go for a great tasting sandwich or jacket potato. Their coffee isnt bad and they have a choice of drinks for kids too. They do a toddler lunch for £1! I don't think I have actually found anywhere that does a child meal that cheap. You get 2 small sandwiches of dairylea or cheese a few plain crisps and salad if the kids like salad. The place is always clean. I absolutely love the cafe and the church here.

All the food is locally sourced and always the very best quality they can get. They do a nice variety of foods, from sandwiches to jacket potatoes (which are delicious!) all the way to a nice homemade warm scone or a tea-cake or piece of cake. They are good value for money and the money spent helps a good cause be it the church or other local organisations through their Wesleys Fund.My daughter loves their Toddler Lunch, where she gets a sandwich and some crisps for £1. Good value or what! The staff are always friendly and always there with an ear if you need a chat, they are good at listening and the venue is really calm and relaxing and such a good atmosphere.
