Tonight Tim brought us the Pork special in breadcrumbs with veg, a bacon and mushroom risotto ,bolognaise and piquant prawn starters with a delicious creamy rice pudding for afters. All were hot and delicious. What a treat to have a home delivery and be able to enjoy food without the washing up.Highly recommended if you live in or near Ludlow. Thanks to Chef Nick, the lovely Deborah and of course, Tim.

My wife and I visited Ludlow Tuesday 26th March, beautiful day, a few more shut down shops since our last visit, but a lovely stroll around the town was rewarded by the welcome and choice of Gluten Free food at the Wesleys Cafe, at a generour price.. Lovely volunteers helping, having a chat updating us on Ludlow activities. Well worth calling again on our next visit to Ludlow.

Having had a big breakfast earlier in the day , we spent a lot of time looking for a cafe/bistro for a light lunch. We came across Aragon which had one table left. The waitress was extremely pleasant and welcoming. My wife had Cajun chicken and pesto salad and I had the prawn salad. Both were excellent as were the coffees . All the other customers appeared to be just as happily with their meals and would fully recommend this cafe

A polished, elegant Afternoon Tea experience. Welcoming and professional team serving quality produce with a few tasty surprises. All presented with style and panache.

Not a bad pub but needs to have a warmer atmosphere, especially at Christmas time, not much in Christmas decor and the saddest Christmas tree I've ever seen with one string of lights and about 5 decorations. There were plenty of drink options but not a very warm, friendly welcome, I get that it's busy, but... as it's Christmas, I've been kind with the stars.

My cousin and I actually had tea and cake one afternoon and then lunch two days later. Both were great experiences. The staff were friendly and cheerful, the chocolate cake and fruit cake sublime and the tea, made with leaves, not teabags, in a bone china pot and drunk from beautiful bone china cups was wonderful. It's all very Miss Marple inside, like going back to a gentler time and it's a not to be missed experience. The background music is perfect for the ambience, Jack Jones crooning away.....both our visits were most enjoyable and when I return to beautiful Shropshire in December my partner and I will definitely visit, it would be rude not to!!! Thank you Carvells for a step back in time!

Given up ,no longer go into the conservatory due to the debacle that is ordering/leaving dog tied up !!! Decided whilst waiting for shop to open I would get a coffee from the pantry (as I had my dog with me )stood at door ,requested oat decaf cappuccino “ we don’t do oat milk” was the response Really !!! it’s all a joke now ,what’s happened to what was once a very special place to enjoy quality food and hospitality ?I have given up now.

Had dinner with two friends on a Saturday night. It was quiet and we couldn’t understand why. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and cosy with a nice fire. The small team looked after us extremely well and we had a very enjoyable evening. My English friend was raving about the quality of the food, she said that it was exceptional for an English pub to serve such good food. We thought it was good value and a really nice experience. Thank you.

We didn’t have a reservation, it was a Sunday around 1 pm and they seated us quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful however there was a distinct lack of the! We got drinks quickly however sat for over 30 minutes before someone finally came to take our food order . Food was fine . Upstairs room and view is pretty sweet !

I have never been made to feel unwelcome when arriving at a pub for lunch. We had booked for 12 and entered at 11.55 to be told “we’re not ready yet. “ by the bar staff. Once seated in a in a cold room we were served drinks and given menus but the waitress didn’t know details of the soup of the day or the pate. Food was average and expensive for the quality and it was tepid. The table next to us sent theirs back. To add to the overall feeling of begrudging hospitality they charge £1 extra for a Yorkshire pudding with your roast. We asked to see the manager or publican but were told neither were on the premises. Overall a disappointing experience never to be revisited.
