Having seen Tom Shepherd on Great British Menu, we were determined to visit his restaurant. The staff were very attentive and friendly and wait times were short, but you felt under no pressure to hurry. We had the the taster menu and all courses were excellent, particularly the canapes, which I could have sat and ate all night. We didn't have the wine flight, as 2 of us don't drink white wine and 1 doesn't drink red. The ambience was just right and Lichfield is easy to reach from Derby. His Desperate Dan Cow pie was not on the menu this time, but Tom told us, as he posed for photos, that it will be going on soon. Quite a wait to get a booking, but we will be going again.

We had our after-wedding party at The Spiritualist in Lichfield and honestly⊠WOW. What a night! We booked a space and from the moment we arrived, the vibe was perfect. Huge shoutout to the amazing Chantelle â the hostess with the mostest â who kept drinks flowing, guests smiling, and somehow managed our rowdy bunch like a pro. The whole team â bartenders, servers, everyone â youâre absolute legends. It was so good that no one wanted to leave! (Sorry for overstaying⊠we blame the fun and fabulous cocktails.) It was the dream end to our big day. Weâll definitely be back for future events â youâve officially stolen our hearts!

Visited Poms for brunch in a small group. The food was decent and service ok, however the prices are absolutely eye watering for what you get. Our eggs had bits of shell in and the breakfast components were all pretty standard - not a big issue, but made it really hard to justify the price.

Needed a decent cup of tea and decided to try this place In preference to one of the chains. Sat at the street table and ordered tea and a cappuccino. Didn't have to wait too long and host was very friendly. My wife said the tea was excellent and my coffee was beautiful. Definitely worth a look but, be aware it is cash only, no cards.

We were drawn in to visiting this bakery from the cakes, pastries & breads displayed in the window, which all looked very inviting. There was a sizeable queue of people, which suggested the place was popular. It only took a few minutes until we were served and the staff were friendly. My brother enjoyed his danish pastry, and the custard cronuts which my Mum & I had were delicious, some of the best doughnut-type cakes weâve had! Would definitely return another time to sample more!

Quite a few cafes to choose from in Lichfield and we had never been to The Coffee House so thought we would try it. Friendly service. Food was good (had the toasties). Only comment is that it was quite quiet and you can hear the conversation of other people quite clearly. Perhaps a bit of background noise / music would help with the atmosphere (as per another review). Would recommend though overall.
