It’s a shame that what was a really good (if on the pricey side) restaurant with great steaks and superb fish dishes to mention some of the dishes, is now a very average Indian restaurant. Saturday night and we were dining alone. Staff were good chicken was well cooked and moist but overwhelming flavour of my dish was oil with a bitter after taste! Lichfield has some really good Indian restaurants with a much better choice of dishes and I can’t see this one lasting long once people realise it’s no longer McKenzies. It’s actually now called Heritage bar and grill but website has not been updated from McKenzies time.

We had our intimate wedding reception at The Loft area of the restaurant. We were so impressed by how the staff presented the truly unique area. Crisp white table cloths adorned the table with matching chair covers. Beautiful flowers decorated the tables and arch areas, it looked truly amazing! Such a unique and stunning place! The management and team are so thorough, thoughtful and attentive. They so aim to please with a ready smile. Such a credit to the establishment. Drinks on arrival and then through the flower arch to the seating area. All three courses were delicious. Everyone enjoyed each course. Big thumbs up to the chef. The food was presented perfectly. They really catered to our requirements. Would certainly recommend this beautiful venue for a gathering. You will not be disappointed. Made our wedding day so very memorable. We had a lovely dinner at McKenzies with very warm and friendly service and delicious curries. We shared a number of starters and then four curries between five of us - all of which came with rice/bread and salad. Even the pickiest eaters amongst us (mostly me) were enjoying their meal!

This was booked by our friends who didn’t realise it was now actually an Indian restaurant, but we thought we’d all give it a go anyway. It was like a sit-com. We arrived before our friends and had to show the man our booking on his screen - the restaurant was empty, but he took us to a table off to the side, when I pulled out the chair, the seat was dirty. We tried to order our drinks at the table but I had to go up to the bar to determine what gin was available - the drinks took ages to arrive - my friend ordered a bottle of Prosecco - they brought her 1 glass full, she sent it back and requested the bottle again! My chicken jalfrazi wasn’t very nice, the chicken appeared to be little off-cut bits - as if trimmed off chick thighs / wings etc. The waiter was glued to another waiter (we thought he was training him) but it was farcical to watch. Very expensive meal for mediocre food and service - another one to avoid 😖

We were a group of 5 friends and had a really lovely evening at McKenzies. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and attentive. The food and wine were delicious especially the lamb on the bone, the naans and the chicken tikka masala - yummy! Thank you for a lovely evening McKenzies.

I booked McKenzies 2 months in advance for my mums 80th Birthday. We confirmed 2 days before. We arrived and the table wasn’t ready. We waited while a table was set up. We then waited 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. Twenty minutes later our drinks order had not arrived but our food order was taken. Then one hour later still no food - nearly two hours after we arrived. We were told 2 mins, then 15 mins later we were told another 2 minutes after which I asked to speak to the manager and we subsequently left and got fish and chips for my mum’s celebration. Not happy.

From the moment we arrived we knew we’d made a mistake! We were ignored by the staff and only shown to our table after asking a member of staff. We had to ask for a wine menu, ask to order our drinks, asked to order our food. The food at best was disappointing, we ordered the King Platter which should have been enough for four - at best it was enough for three. No one asked if we were happy with the food and service, also napkins and dirty glasses were left on the bar during the whole of our stay. We won’t be back and definitely won’t be recommending to anyone!

Me and my partner had previously gone here for food and drinks and had been fabulous. This time to food was poor at best, it didn't reflect the menu when you order prawn cocktail you do not expect shop bought coleslaw with prawns mixed in. The steak was bland and lacked flavour, the chips were not as described and were basic cheap chips. It was again poor and I did not finish that like the starter. The other starters of pate with garlic bread not as described and not worth the money. The Indian platter was ordered to share as a main that was described as OK but nothing special. Drinks took an age for 2 mocktails and 1 cocktail. Overall not what was expected and will bot be going back. I would definitely avoid.

What a truly awful experience we had. We arrived at 7.30 for our reservation. After waiting an hour for our starters, we asked how long the food would be - we had no response! We asked a different waiter the same question 20 minutes later - again no response! We then asked the waitress, who I believe was part of the management - yet again no response! 20 minutes later I asked the same waitress the same question again. She answered that she didn't know what was going on!! Furthermore, she was laughing off the fact that we had now waited 1 hour and 40 minutes without even a starter. A couple on the next table had finished their starter and main even though they arrived after us. We left after an hour and fifty minutes, with the waitress asking "are you leaving"? Yes, she actually didn't expect us to. We had no explanation as to the issue with our order. So I will explain the issue to the management here:- You have no organisation skills. You have no awareness of customer service. You insult customers by laughing at their complaint and questions. Your staff are incompetent. You are incompetent. Your staff are quite happy to chat with friends at the bar rather than clear tables vacated over an hour earlier. I wonder why your restaurant was only 30% full on a Saturday evening?

We walked in and were ignored by a couple sitting at the bar without drinks, we did think they may have been the owners. We were greeted pleasantly, and that was the high point of the visit. We ordered drinks and waited for approx 20 mins for the wrong ones to be served. When we asked, it took a further 10mins for somebody to tell us that was the only cider they had. We then placed our order of starters and main meals. After 25 minutes, the starter's appeared one was correct and by some unknown reason an order for scallops turned into soup. A further 15-minute and uncooked old smelly scallops were served, which we decided was the final straw. No staff, no chef's & too many customers. We paid our bil and ran for our lives. We paid for the drinks and ran for our lives.

Welcoming waiter. My daughter has allergies which were carefully taken down and was advised beef croquettes would be ok. As she cut into one, she said should there be this bone in the middle.. as I examined it, it was actually frozen mince full of ice crystals! Beyond disgusting! And extremely harmful. . We walked out, the pleasant waiter apologised but we will never ever return. Also the menu was very eclectic, half Indian half not. It used to be great under the scottish chef but this is a no go now!

The chefs at this restaurant use bare hands rather than a fork to carve jointed meat and place other foods onto plates. No gloves used and pre-cooked food sitting under hotplates.

Disappointing. I’ve been for some lovely Sunday lunches at Mckenzies and today was a let down. I took my best friend for her birthday, who was visiting from London. We had a later booking and got told there was no roasts left on arrival. We ordered some nibbles for starters and Seabass for mains at £20 per meal. The staff seemed keen to get our mains out - asking if we wanted it a few minutes after receiving the appetizers…we asked for a little more time. Thus, unfortunately when the mains came, the fish was over done, and my serving had half of a potato on it with no other carbs. I couldnt finish my fish as it was too dry. I mentioned this to the waiter at the end who did apologise but nothing else was followed up. There was also a strange ambience - before we have been graced with jazz and ambient Sunday lunch music but today there was odd 90s hits and not much of an atmosphere at all. I don’t think I’ll be returning unfortunately.

Amazing service,event better food.Can definitly tell new Chefs and owners. Well done guys!!!! I would definitly recommend for nice dinner just for 2 of you or for a lovely timer witch your kids.💪👍👍👏👏👏

Had one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Lovely service and atmosphere. Would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

This room is the adaption of the old Lichfield corn exchange the detail of which including the arches can be seen from the outside. The interior is one of the most impressive for a restaurant you will find anywhere with a main floor and a mezanine balcony. It has been through a number of incarnations but never totally cut through in terms of longevity or the success the location deserves. Our lunch discussion ironically explored the potential of the space. The menu is eclectic varying from Indian to Burger territory. In fact we opted for the exotic - butterfly prawns which were generous and sensational and a massive salmon teriyaki - multi national without doubt ! It is a conundrum why the venue isn't buzzing but here's to the future.

We arrived to find a customer telling us “not to bother” before launching an expletive led rant at the poor staff. Having worked in hospitality I do find it tough to see staff, who were actually very pleasant, being treated this way.  The venue is lovely, although the toilets could do with some modernising, the food was very enjoyable - the only disappointment being the deserts which did not stand up to the quality of the rest of the meal. I often find the meat served on Sunday roasts in a lot of places a huge let down, however here it was succulent, tasty and cooked to perfection.    The service can be a little half soaked at times, however the staff are super friendly and attentive. The 3 mothers in our party were very happy indeed.

Worse restaurant experience of my life, catalogue of errors and appalling customer service. We pre-ordered starters and mains. Two of our party are gluten free and they served them bread with gluten, despite us checking if it was gluten free. Assured it was. 5 mins later some gluten free bread comes out and they realised the original bread was not gluten free. Scandalous lack of attention to dietary requirements, very serious concerns about safety standards. My son had pre-ordered pasta and we asked for it to come with the starters. It took two hours to arrive after multiple chasing and 45 minutes after the starters. When questioned how it could possibly take so long. The response was we are doing you a favour, it's not normally on our kids menu!! The table next to us were served their mains before their starters, so they took the mains away, 30 mins later they brought the mains out again, despite the starters still not being served. Unbelievably bad, ruined a mother's day meal, we walked out before the mains turned up.

Had steak , was cooked nice but says double cooked chips, got rubbish Frys which were not double cooked and a leaf of lettuce as a side salad. Asked about the chips and they took them away and Brought more of the same covered in grease looked like they just put them bk in the fryer. Would not return for a cost of £22.50 for a piece of steak.

We came to this lovely restaurant on a spontaneous trip to Lichfield. We hadn't booked in advance so the waiter who greeted us advised there would be a 30 minute wait. He was really friendly and extremely attentive despite having to deal with multiple demands. He let us sit at the bar and served us drinks while we waited for a table to be free. While we sat there the waitress came across to the bar and spoke to the waiter who greeted us in a frustrated and stressed manner. It was busy in the restaurant but the tone in which she requested items from the waiter appeared to be somewhat rude and was not a good impression having only just sat down. The waiter said it was only his second week working at the restaurant but Mckenzies in the City should be proud of who they have appointed as I felt his exceptional customer service compensated for the other waiting staff in the restaurant who appeared to either not enjoy their job or were just exhausted from a busy shift. We opted for the Sunday roast which was delicious along with a lovely dessert and coffee. Overall we had a lovely experience. Food and atmosphere was spot on. Just a shame that not everyone working waiting the tables were as enthusiastic and customer focused as the guy who greeted us. We will definitely return again to try some of the other items on the menu.

Booked to have a meal at this restaurant and rang up to say I would be 10 minutes late due to heavy traffic. They said it was absolutely fine. I get there and I am told to wait while they ask if we can sit down? She said I can have 40 minutes and that I was “cutting it fine” by running 10 minutes late. When I rang to book the table originally I was told I would have 2 hours at the table. I explained this and was told that it was now not possible because they had a wedding booking. Deciding that we would leave it and find someone else to eat, sarcastically she said “Okay thank you, bye then”. Very rude and bad service!!!!

Great menu selection for lunch and dinner - something for everyone. Food is well presented and delicious! The service is very prompt and friendly - our waiter came over many times to check everything was as we would like and to see whether our glasses needed re-filling. The cocktail menu is well-grafted. Try the 'hot gin and gingerbread' for a warming treat or if you have a bit of a sweet tooth the 'Spismith's orange hot chocolate gin' makes a great alternative to a pudding! The restaurant followed all Covid-19 regulations and felt very secure.

Best food in town. Great place for couples and family. Food and service is 5star all day every day. Owner Mark is the best host you will find. A must place to go eat.

Easy dining with really good food and service. Loved the menu and the food quality was great. The scallop starter was amazing and I believe our server was the owner who was delightful. I do think the basic decor lets it down slightly as it's such an impressive venue but I will always choose the quality of the food over the style of the restaurant.

We visited McKenzies for their afternoon tea. This was lovely food in a very safe comfortable surrounding. Especially nice to have a savoury choice in the selection. Scotch eggs and Pork pie. All the staff made the worlds new normal, relaxed and enjoyable. Would recommend.

Had an amazing meal, covid procedures were excellent we felt really safe. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. Lovely cocktails from the bar made to perfection. Looking forward to seeing you again soon

We visited McKenzies as a family group of five which included my 86year old mum. We are very particular and cautious where we visit during the Covid pandemic. It was very reassuring to see how serious McKenzies ensure they are Covid safe. We were greeted and welcomed at the entrance to check our booking, explain the one way system and sanitiser stations which were located under artificial trees covered in blossom. Once we entered the restaurant it was clear to see all tables had been positioned with a minimum of two metre spacing. All staff wore visors, tables and chairs are cleaned thoroughly once vacated. All in all, McKenzies are going the extra mile working hard to ensure they are Covid safe. On top of all of this the food was fantastic, the environment and staff superb. Well done to Mark and all his staff at McKenzies and keep up the good work! See you again soon…..

We visited McKenzies on Wednesday 26th as part of the Eat out to Help out scheme. On arrival at the restaurant, the lady at the entrance was rude, quiet and unhelpful. Customer service is needed. She told us to go upstairs which we were then told by the next waitress to find a table. We sat down and were greeted by a polite waitress who asked for a drinks order and gave us our menus. We both ordered fillet steaks with beef gravy and chips. It came promptly and looked nice from the outset. When attempting to pour the gravy out of a small pot, it was met with a skin and lumps which was fairly unpleasant. The gravy was a watery Bisto flavour. Our steaks were ordered as medium-rare and medium. One of which came rare, the other well done. The outside of both steaks was coated in charcoal and had little flavour apart from this. The original price was £28 and not worth a penny of this. When the bill came, £20 was taken off for the scheme yet an additional 12.5% was added on for ‘COVID’. When asked if this could be taken off, we were told it was to pay for PPE and an extra member of staff. I’m sorry but 12.5% onto every paying customer to fund these things is ridiculous. We will not be going back.

8 of us - older guys went to the National Memorial Arboretum and wanted a decent meal - so looked on TripAdvisor for the best place. Not disappointed at all - the people serving our tables were fantastic- food was top notch and service was 2nd to none. We expected to pay a lot as we had really pushed the boat out and had eaten well. We decided to put a £40 tip in (£5 each). The bill came, and that was the only issue - they had added 15% for COVID measures to “keep us safe” It amounted to a charge of around £25. That reality P’d us off as the 5% VAT instead of 20% had already been taken by the owners - not an issue. So we paid the bill with the £25 charge and did not leave the £40 tip. It’s a real shame that they charged the hidden charge of £25 to keep us safe when it is their responsibility - not ours. We would have paid a £40 tip if they had not. Final point - the servers deserved the tip - unfortunately the greedy owners deprived them of it.

This was my second visit to McKenzies and I have loved it both times. Delicious food, lovely staff, nice atmosphere. A member of staff was even happy to recommend a local bar when we left and asked where was nice to go. The manager is friendly and is careful to ensure that customers feel comfortable and have a nice evening. We ordered a £70 bottle of champagne which they forgot to put on the bill - when we told them this they kindly took £10 off the bill for our honesty.I had the fish of the day which was lobster, and my partner had fillet steak. Both were delicious!They also have a wide selection of cocktails which are well made too.

I've eaten at McK a few times over the years but not recently having moved away from Lichfield. Seeing that they were back open with new regulations from COVID and having never had a bad time with Mark running the show, we decided to go for a meal to celebrate our anniversary.We weren't disappointed. The tone of the evening was set right from the get go with the young lady at the door, welcoming us and explaining how they're making the restaurant work to adhere to all the guidance before finally explaining the trunk charge in case we'd missed it on the website when booking. We were greeted again at the top of the stairs and offered our choice of the available tables before Mark jumped in and suggested one upstairs which we gladly accepted. Menus were presented with specials given at the same time, and drinks orders taken all promptly and politely.Starters arrived quick, I had the Smoked salmon with chilli, my partner had the chorizo scallops. Both were very tasty, but my salmon was excellent.Another round of drinks ordered and we were asked if we were happy for our mains to be cooked or we wanted a rest. Straight on!I had the ribeye, my partner the sirloin. Hers was perfect, and she loved the dauphinoise potatoes. Mine was a little on the thin side for my preference, but cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Twice cooked chips were as good as you'd expect. Another drink, and even going to the trouble of making my partner's favourite cocktail not on the menu and we decided on dessert. Eaton mess and my favourite, Tiramisu. Both were huge, too big really after two courses and a belly full of drinks but I 'persevered' because it was again excellent.Special mention to Mark for doing what he does, you almost feel like you're eating at someone's house with how attentive he is to all the tables, but without feeling fussed over. Watching him work the 'shop floor' is impressive, and his team are a credit to the restaurant.It was nice to see them open, obviously thriving given the situation, and I hope they return to full strength as time allows. Three starts seem a bit low but four stars definitely too much but seeing three stars equates to average then that is exactly what the food was but the welcome and level of service was superb. All the team were very friendly and knowledgable and that’s where they would get 5 circles but I was just very underwhelmed with the food. I will though go back and try again in the hope we just maybe didn’t pick the best dishes.

I did leave a facebook review however they have deleted it! We visited Friday The food was very poor. Both starters were very bland and my steak was very fatty. Not like previous times where the food has always been good.We got offered a desert on the understanding it was free as we barely ate our meals...to be charged for this.The took £20 off the bill however add £13.94 Covid charge.Will not Return.

Booked for Sunday Lunch after lockdown. Food and service was great as usual. Very impressed with the measures taken to tackle Covid. Restaurant felt safe and welcoming. A++ to management and staff for a job well done. Looking forward to returning soon

Had issues which I spoke to the person in charge about, and all I got was rudeness and defensive statements, not good service at all, some training is needed around customer complaints and how to handle them as the girl in charge offered very poor explanations and terrible customer service. I came in to support local places in Lichfield however we won't be back. Sorry

Superb service during lockdown. Easy to navigate app - food ordered in advance, arrived on time and delivered safely and efficiently. Food of a high standard and v.tasty.

Since the lockdown, we have been having Sunday lunch delivered by McKenzies. The food is superb, delivered under appropriate Covid-19 rules, always by a very pleasant person (usually the boss!). We had heard that McKenzies Restaurant in Lichfield had a very high reputation, but for some reason haven't yet eaten there - which we intend to rectify once the lockdown ends. This delivery service has made such a difference during lockdown, as we are not going to the shops at all, and to say it is high quality food delivered to your door by lovely people is an understatement.

Fantastic sunday lunch delivered during lockdown for family. Had turley beef and lamb choices. Definately use again.

This restaurant is out favourite and due to COVID 19 they have started delivery ! What can I say - absolutely amazing food, the standard is excellent, Mark you have surpassed yourself again. 10/10 - the lamb was to die for. Many Thanks for a delicious Sunday Easter lunch xxx

The customer service was brilliant but the fact is that the food was over cooked the cheese was crap

We had our wedding reception here in November 2019. From the first meeting with Mark to discuss our plans and ideas until the last guest left, the service was second to none. Every single guest said how amazing the staff, food and venue were! The food blew out expectations out of this world. The portions were exceptional and the food itself was incredible. We would highly recommend a visit and would thank all staff at McKenzies for making our wedding day so good. We returned the following day for brunch, again service was really good and the food was great quality and super tasty.

Excellent food and service. All the staff made us feel very welcome and could not do enough to make our Christmas party a special one.

Exceptional service from Mark and his team - wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant. There is a good choice on the brunch menu and it's excellent value for money. Another great visit.

We were warmly welcomed by the manager with prosecco and drinks for the juniors shown to our table and from then until we hose to leave nothing was too much trouble to ensure our enjoyment of what was far more than just a meal. We were told that our table was ours for the day food and drink was inclusive (within reason) and excellent quantity. Can't say much more than it was perfect

Recently attended with family for an evening meal. Having been to McKenzies several times beforehand and previously had excellent food and service I must admit disappointment on my most recent visit.

Had a late afternoon lunch, very nice, very quiet as it was about 4 30 or 5 oclock staff very friendly and attentive, not too much choice on the menu, but what we had was very nice

This restaurant is situated upstairs in a beautiful old building with lots of character. As it was Monday lunchtime it wasn’t busy but that didn’t stop us enjoying our meal. The proprietor is very friendly and took time to chat and explain anything on the menu. I enjoyed a top quality burger with skin on fries it was excellent. My wife had an omelette with ham and mushrooms and a side order of fries it was very tasty and her light bite turned out to be quite substantial. On recommendation I tried a local bottled beer which was very good. Most of the wines are available by the glass and are reasonably priced. Before we left I glanced at the evening menu which has a few extra items that aren’t available in the day time and also the Sunday lunch menu which looked good. It’s central location in the city makes this an ideal spot for a meal if your shopping or doing the tourist trail.

Went for lunch, the food was very pleasant, the desserts in particular. The waiter was very attentive and even went out to get my husband 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 mustard

Went with friends on a Saturday night. The place has a nice ambience and the staff were attentive. The menu had plenty of tempting offers. I went for the Calamari starter, Sirloin Steak for main and Tiramasu for dessert. The Calimari was quite bland and lacking taste. The main didn't really improve things. I ordered my steak medium to well done. It arrived a little over done and quite dry. A bit disappointing in truth.

I'm slowly getting around the restaurants in Lichfield and last weekend it was the turn of McKenzies which came highly recommended.

I have been here on a few times now and the food is mouth watering. I have booked for afternoon tea and loved the traditional english afternoon tea experiance here. Classy place, think its a converted church - perfect for business at lunch or pleasure. I love sitting in the loft area and feeling that sense of calm. The bar has a wonderful mix of drinks and generally a top notch place for quality food. Love it.

As normal we had a fabulous time. Food outstanding. My main note about this place is that they are amazing when it comes to allergies, milk allergy not a problem at all! Thanks guys for an amazing evening, we will be back again.

This place never disappoints! Brunch today tasted as good as it looked and the proprietor is so enthusiastic and attentive. This restaurant is in a small city that is full of good restaurants and this one up there with the best of the best. Fantastic value and affordable food

We enjoyed a perfect meal, excellent service and a really reasonable price. The food was excellent, well cooked with a light hand and attractive presentation. The service was friendly, fun and efficient. All in all, a perfect experience.

The first impression on entering was good. We were greeted and advised that there was a 40 minute wait for food but asked to select a table. There was a large party in the centre of the room and this appears to have caused a delay in service. Order was taken promptly but waiter had to return as had forgotten what drink I wanted after he left the table. My partners meal came with a hot drink but this was served straight away before the food. We then sat for almost an hour waiting. There were two other tables who were also waiting for their orders to be served. The restaurant was understaffed as there appeared to just be the gentleman who took our food order and a single waitress. Whilst we waited no one bothered to enquire if we would like another drink or to give any update of the food wait. We were running close to running out of time for the car park and after 50 minutes my partner had to leave and go and add additional time on the car park. The food was finally served over an hour after we arrived. My burger was fine but the eggs on my partner’s meal were overcooked and neither meal was hot enough. Quality of the food was good but on this occasion service was not. Despite this I would be prepared to visit again and would hope to receive a different level of service.

Fabulous lunch for my friends birthday. Highly, highly recommend. The food is amazing but the staff and owner are a credit to this restaurant. I enjoy every visit and look forward to going each time. Value for money lunch time deals too.

Shocking.... booked here for 730 sit down for our works Christmas party, didn’t get served starter until 9:15 then main at 10 and didn’t get pudding until 11:15, food wasn’t great and service was poor. NOT worth the money.

Went on Friday night for Christmas meal. Was not festive at all. No crackers on the table.

Went here for a work do paid £25 to have horrific service and Luke warm food with vegetables that were so hard you couldn’t put your fork in gravy was non existent on the turkey dinner Our table was booked for 7.30 and our starter was not served till 8.50 pm no apologies were given for the shocking service or the fact that the food came out so late

Visited on a Friday evening as a party of 8! I sat upstairs & was freezing! My my meal was ok, but as it was so cold my meal was only Luke warm!

Just got home from a beautiful meal with friends and my baby, wow the food was so tasty!!

This restaurant is situated upstairs in an old corn exchange. Really different as it has an upstairs gallery. Went with a group of friends and really enjoyed the food. Good selection of sandwiches, pork pie, scotch egg and a huge scone . The staff were friendly and helpful. The waiter took a group photo and even wrapped the remaining sandwiches for us to take home. Lovely.

Went for a Sunday afternoon lunch with family, arrived to be told your table is over there! Not even shown to the table. Then waited 20 minutes for service even though the restaurant was relatively quite. Starters came out and were nice and tasty so had high hopes for main course. However it was most disappointing- several of us had roast dinners - the roast beef was so poor it was left and when we fed that back to the owner it was well no one else has complained response. The roast potatoes were chewy like they had been cooked many hours before and the veg was mediocre at best. Won’t be returning.

We brought our family here for what we were hoping to be a lovely Sunday meal out.....it wasn’t.

The service was very poor that's it's main downfall. Straight from the start they were not sure where to seat us even tho we booked. Once seated took 20 mins to get a drink and and when ordering food the waiter didn't have a clue and never even asked how would like the steak cooked. The steak was more rare and meant to be sirloin but they was loads of fat on it taste no better than a cheap Aldi cut. Value for money also not very good as they was nothing with the steak other than chips looked bare on the plate had to ask for a pepercorn sauce after. Would not recommend really.
