Never fails to impress. Fabulous food, excellent service. The food is great home cooked food at a reasonable price. Great portion size and the BEST GRAVY EVER!!!!!! Always look forward to our next visit, worth booking to avoid disappointment.

What a great friendly pub first time here with our little dog who loved all the attention from the wonderful staff . Meals were excellent and piping hot and even our milo had a fried egg in a dog dish .

Not been in for year's glad I went one of the best,food brilliant service could not fault atmosphere homely dog friendly bar outside seating with a serving hatch to the bar I had the chicken sizzler with sweet and sour sauce wow wife had lamb shank she was the same wow

My second and mostly likely last visit. I went on a Saturday, late afternoon (end of September). We sat in the restaurant which was not even half full. The food was ok I guess but the service was pretty horrific, nowhere near enough visits to our table from the waitresses, who all seemed to be having a good laugh and chats round the corner between the bar and restaurant. Just one of many examples, took 25 minutes to order desert after we were given the desert menu. When I conveyed my disappointment about the level of service at the end of the meal, I just got a shrug of the shoulders and a “sorry about that”. Looking at the other reviews sounds like we were just unlucky!

Wonderful cosy traditional pub with great Sunday lunch

A group of 14 of us had Sunday lunch for father's 70th birthday. Service was prompt but they only booked us a 2 hour slot for such a large group. We could hear the staff muttering about having to move us out whilst some of us were still having our main course whilst the manager rolled his eyes and acted like we were an inconvenience. Had to have cake outside in the rain soaked smoking area. Food was plentyful for a Sunday roast but bang average. Everyone's roast beef was tough and flavourless. You could spend your money elsewhere and have a much more pleasant experience I would suggest.

If you want a Great Sunday Lunch, this is the place to go!!! The Swan with Two Necks is a lovely Country Pub location and the food is fabulous. My Father in Law loves the lunches here, so do we all, they are a really big portions and Just like your Mother made! Well worth the visit.

Visited here without booking on a Saturday afternoon. They were quite busy but got a table right away no problem. We ordered the steak and ale pie and vegan lentil shepherds pie, both came with homemade chips and peas. They also bought a seperate jug of vegetarian gravy and we also ordered a side of garlic bread. It did take a little while for the food to arrive but all was steaming hot when arrived and delicious. They were both generous portions too. We sat in the bar area but there is also a restaurant area if you would like a slightly more formal setting. They allow dogs in the bar area too. Have visited here again twice since and still great food. Ordered the beetroot and butternut squash wellington with mashed potatoes and peas and it was really nice, and another time had the thie and cranberry baguette with sweet potato fries and salad which was also great. Food arrived quickly and by friendly staff. All in all great food and pub and looking forward to returning. Would recommend.

This was my old haunt from a teenager on wards until I left the area, so it was an expectant visit to see thd old place. Well I wasn't disappointed it hadn't been ruined as a great amount of places gave been old features ripped out to make more tables, it was a great experience seeing the old place. Enough real ale to satisfy the palate, but what has really been the pleasure was the food, a menu not ti large but ample enough choice for most people catered form. We both had lamb shanks, and well, I have to say they were the best we've had for a good while, cooked excellently falling off the bone with a beautiful accompanying sauce. Sadly, we had to forgo a pudding! The service friendly, lunchtime atmosphere is as good as it gets with all the staff friendliness. We are a distance now from thd Swan with Two Necks, but any opportunity to drop in for lunch we will certainly return, thanks a great experience!

Lovely pub and lots of choice on the menu. I had creamy garlic mushrooms on ciabatta bread. It came with balsamic vinegar drizzled all over the plate. Personally I hate balsamic vinegar, had I have known this I would have requested it not to be on the plate. It does not state this on your menu. The girl asked me if everything had been ok with our meal but only after she had taken the payment. Not sure if we will be back which is such a shame as it is a lovely place.

Absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. If I listed everything that was great about this place I'd be here for days, so I'll just sum it up by saying "you must go 👍🏻"

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed the standard of service was excellent seated immediately, served quickly to 2 delicious plates of food. We will be back.

I just cannot get a table for a single me. Even though I have in the past. I wonder how I upset them. They’re ALWAYS ‘fully booked’ whenever I call. And however early. It Seems they don’t like single diners anymore, even though they spend their £40 on an expensive Roast dinner, Pudding and two pints of Red Stripe. Looks like it’s time Gentlemen please at the SWTN for me…

Based on trip advisor we visited… Ordered stake pie at 6pm to be told none, no stress ordered fish and chips, and Cesar salad… Fish arrived with potatoes, not chips as ordered, cheese sauce was nothing special, if anything a bit gritty but the fish was okay… Salmon Caesar salad was very disappointing for £19, As always trip-advisor has to be taken with a pinch of salt but honestly, you find find better elsewhere I’m sure…

We have eaten here many times & it is always fabulous ! Visited last night with friends who had never been & they were VERY impressed. Food was amazing - best lasagne I have eaten in a long time !! Service was excellent & we cannot wait to return. Thank you for another great evening xxx

Birthday lunch for hubby. We had the choice of several tables and we picked a quiet corner for two. We were offered the menu and our drinks selection was taken and fulfilled quickly. We chose steak Caesar salad and pork belly draft. I requested my steak very rare. It was cooked as requested and was very tender as was the pork. We had a biscoff cheesecake and a banana split. Both excellent. As we were so full we declined a coffee. Staff are very personable, quick to offer help and not overbearing. We thought it value for money and booked for a return trip before leaving.

We turned up on the off chance and were greeted with a warm welcome, and a table was found for us. Food was exceptional, generous portion sizes.We will definitely be returning during the summer and take advantage of the outdoor seating area, but will remember to book in advance

All staff very friendly and attentive. Great customer service throughout our visit. Good choice of well kept cask ales. Gem of a find and will definitely be returning. Having had many a Sunday dinner in pubs over the years I can safely sat this was the best I've had anywhere. The beef melted in your mouth, the service is spot on and the whole place is inviting and comfortable. This is our first visit for many years but it won't be our last

A great food and drink experience once again for my birthday it was the best and great real ale ,thanks again. Latest update: went again tonight with friends and the beer and food is great as usual, can't wait till next time. Great onpoint service and good food! The serving staff were all very attentive and friendly during our lunchtime visit and the specials menu had a great choice of fish dishes as it was Good Friday! I opted for Scallops to start (cooked to absolute perfection, in my opinion) and Seabass for mains. My wife enjoyed the Tempura Prawns, then Loin of Cod for her mains, which was perfect too, and my parents both loved their fish and chips. We were then, unusually, tempted by the deserts board and opted for the different cheesecakes on offer.

Mother’s Day lunch was absolutely amazing with great service and great food.

Amazing food, and reasonable prices. It does get very busy, I was slightly disappointed we were kicked off our table to the crowded bar area to drink our coffees after the meal, our table was booked for 12, which they didn't open the doors till bang on 12, and had a 2 hour slot. I understand they need to flip the tables, but there were 7 of us so it can take a bit longer. Some of the staff seemed a bit fed up, and not as friendly as maybe they could have been. Saying that, the food was really great so It wouldnt put me off returning.

Used to dine a lot. Especially when we had guests. Service and food quality is best during the week. It’s overcrowded on a weekend . Also try the the Red Lion in Longdon Green at a weekend, more space and just as good.

Sunday roast was quite dry and the portions were absolutely huge but the quality of the food was nice, but not amazing (have been on other days before and had better food) Service was OK, again usually better and not particularly attentive. Atmosphere was lovely This is a really nice pub and would recommend going but nicer Sunday roast options elsewhere

Lovely little village country pub! Lovely atmosphere & feel in there. Really good menu and the food was delicious! Staff were friendly and service was really good. Didn't have to wait too long for the food & the portion sizes we very generous and filling. Lots of drink options to choose from. There is a car park on-site with plenty of parking. Highly recommended 👌

Went here 2 days after Boxing Day .. Service really good and table manner was delightful..they were very busy but made sure you were comfortable.. Our meal came and was absolutely delicious.. we both had Cod and chips Large and small portions .. it was soooooo tasty really enjoyed our meal and our impromptu visit to this wonderful restaurant/Pub. Food fantastic, staff outstanding service nothing to much trouble. Compliments to the Chef the beef was fabulous, well everything was first class. My Son booked this for our pre xmas meal treat, due to going on holiday over xmas. It isn't the first time we have been for a meal and always get first class food and service. Eight of us went for a carvery today. (10th Dec 2023). Food was excellent and lots of it. Service was spot on with lovely, friendly staff. Cost for what we had couldn't be beat. If you want a nice carvery in a lovely traditional, friendly pub, then this is the place for you. I advise pre booking as it gets rammed. But we'll worth a visit.

Honestly such a lovely and perfect little find. The food was DELICIOUS and the staff were so friendly. We felt at home and it was ideal to take our dog with us.

If you are looking for a family atmosphere, really good food and lovely helpful staff this is the place for you. We had never been to the Swan with Two Necks before, after tonight we will be visiting regular, Sunday Carvery will be our next visit.I booked a table for fourteen on the 20th October, everything was so easy, we pre ordered which was easier for their kitchen. Our order ranged from Steak and Ale pies, Rump Steak, Hunters chicken Beef Burger, and Lasagne. The food was really hot, everyone said how lovely it was, even my husband said it was the best steak he had ever had. ( that’s outstanding as he always moan about something) All home cooked, which really impressed. We were offered a good range of deserts, which were also really tasty. Jane and her staff were really helpful, polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning.

2nd time we have visited for Sunday lunch and both times the food and service were both absolutely superb. It is dog friendly too which is great. Will definitely be returning.

Second visit for us, food is great, all really well cooked, they seated us straight away despite not booking (2pm on a Thursday) it was quite full and I would definitely recommend booking if going at the weekend. Staff are lovely and happy to help and we had a table in front of a real fire which was lovely. I don't have any criticism, but I would love if they started with proper portions of sauce, either give us a bottle or a pot I hate sachets with a passion and scrimping on sauce puts me off a bit, probably as I have the eating habits of a 5 year old 🤣 well worth a visit!!

went here for lunch. Ordered steak and ale pie with chips and peas. The pie portion was HUGE. It was a little dry though, could do with a little more gravy in it. We asked for extra gravy. Very tasty even though a little dry. In our opinion too much pie given on the plate, maybe half the portion would be enough. The pie was about 3 inches tall and about the same wide!! and packed with tasty meat too. Will definitely return.

Wow 8 adults and a youngster visited on Saturday night, OMG the food and service was outstanding, there was an assortment of food, tuna steak, salmon steak, T-bone steak, faggots, fish and chips and much more….no one went home hungry we were all well fed and watered. We were there with family and it was our first time there….Many thanks too all who made our night so amazing.

We have been here a couple of times and can honestly say you won’t get a better Sunday lunch in Staffordshire. We have to travel 15 miles to get to this pub but the food, service and atmosphere makes it worth while. Highly recommend the steak & stilton pie which is the best I’ve EVER had. So glad we found this place recently.

Probably best Sunday lunch I've had and i've had a few. Great food, good service always consistent with "all the meats Sunday lunch" and desert menu. Only slight negative is the 3 sittings on a Sunday every 2 hours where 3 hours feels more in-line with £100 for 4 people.

Based on a recommend from the in laws, thought we’d try this place out. Sunday lunch menu was offered and 3 Fish specials were on offer over & above the set menu. The serving staff were excellent, even had a visit from the Boss asking if all was good. Food was good quality, served hot with decent portion size (not too much nor too little) Choice of desserts was quite extensive, the apple pie was lovely according to dad and I enjoyed the toffee waffle Price not bad either coming in under £50 for 2 people/2 courses and a couple of beers

Really unpleasant going to the swan on our visit , popped in for food to be told they were fully booked even tho we had a table . Guy behind the bar made us feel like we shouldn’t be there . We left our drinks and left the pub ! Not the was to keep new custom in a dying pub trade .

Very nice restaurant, excellent food and lovely service until we were asked how much longer we were going to be at our table as there was someone else waiting for it! It would be nice to inform us that there is a timeline on tables considering how much we spent.

Just had lunch with Grandchildren. First class service starters and main course. We couldn’t fault it Lamb Shank and Steak Stilton Pie to die for. He me made food service impeccable couldn’t fault it. Beautiful country pub something to be proud of

Absolute beautiful sunday lunch we had here for my Father in Laws 60th Birthday, we all had 3 course and each course was delicous. The beef was perfection. Service was superb and wait times were very reasonable, Less than £200 for 7x 3 course sunday lunches, excellent value for money, will 100% be back very soon xx

The food was amazing but the best part was the service! Absolutely amazing service from beginning to end! This is the first pub we have been to where we weren't just seated, order taken, food brought out and then forgotten about! We were checked on, asked if we would like more drinks and didn't need to find someone to order more drinks or food! With service like that and amazing food, of course we will be going back!

Attended as a group of 14 for a 1pm booking. There was some initial confusion that our pre order email couldn't be located. Which resulted in a delay of some 40 minutes before starters arrived. Please note that a 2hr slot had been allocated, which to say was ambitious for a larger party might be an understatement. Staff were apologetic of the delay. That said the food was excellent and very generous portions. Our group had starters of prawn cocktail, baked brie, mushroom on bread and mains of beef, turkey or pork. We were asked to vacate the table around 3.20pm so that another group of a similar number could be seated. We made use of the covered area outdoors for coffees. A busy place, booking definitely recommended. Some carparking spaces are 'tight'. The washroom facilities were OK.

We came here for my grandmas birthday as it’s her favourite place to eat. Food was delicious and service was amazing even on their incredibly busy Sunday service. The portions were big with lots of veggies and cauliflower cheese. Would recommend to everyone!

Was in the area and felt a tad hungry when we came across this quaint gastro pub so decided to stop for a bite to eat. Found a nice table inside and were promptly greeted by a welcoming member of staff who took our drinks order and left some menus. Well, what a choice!! All of us couldn't decide what to eat and kept changing our minds before we a decision was made. We all went for steak and ale or steak and stilton pie (yes in this hot weather but it sounded so tasty!) and when it arrived we were not disappointed. This was no off the shelf pie mix with a frozen pasty topping but a great slab of homemade pie with a good steak filling to match. Homemade chips and mash complemented the meal and the gravy was piping hot too. All we heard from a member of our party on arrival and prior to the food arriving was " I have no appetite and I am not hungry" but as the staff offered to pack up anything he didn't eat at the end he ordered anyway. Well the food came and lets just say he ate the lot and the portions are not small - so it must have been good! It's a bit far from home, but we all said we would make the extended journey again for a special occasion and will definitely return in the near future.
