The best restaurants serving British food in Cannock Chase West Midlands

why does it take 3 people to make a sandwich and then another worker on the till, they make it so much more difficult having to communicate from one to another between 4 people for a order confusing them selves. that’s just besides the food, it was “toasted” and was like someone put it in a microwave the meat was still cold and bread slightly warm and the portion sizes were so minimal. then to make it even better the bread was like a flatbread it was thin and horrible,

These are observations not critisisms. 1/Please change what you satinize the tables with ,it is like glue, rested my arms on table had to peel them off ,stuck to the table.2/ the reason i only gave 4 stars for the food was because a banoffee tart/pie, choolate or otherwise is meant to taste of banana and toffee could only taste chocolate nothing else .main meals and service were excellent ,nice capocinno to finish. Will defo go again .

From the moment we set foot in the door we were welcomed and despite the restaurant being busy the chef and serving staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Lovely meal served promptly and cooked perfectly. Clean and tidy restaurant and bathrooms.

Had my husbands suprise 40th birthday at the Red Lion. It was fab. Sharon was so helpful with everything and made sure everything was OK. The food was lovely, fresh and plenty. Thankyou so much. All the staff were lovely and friendly and kept the drinks flowing especially the baby Guinness's 🫣 highly recommended if your looking to hold a party/celebration

Disappointed, The food was cooked well, but the portions are smaller, not even a tomato or onion ring with my steak.

Warm welcome and very attentive staff throughout our visit. Great selection of choices on the menu. We did find it a little pricey however.

Excellent time had by all.. food was amazing.. service was quick and Makenzie was great.. manager really helpful as he always is...

We had our engagement party here on the 3rd August, fantastic night had by all, buffet was brilliant everyone enjoyed the food, dj kept everyone on the dance floor, staff worked very hard making sure drinks kept flowing, overall a fantastic night would highly recommend for any functions. Thank you to all the management and staff for helping make our night one to remember.

Went here whilst working in the area and small blonde lady Tracy was very rude and ignorant. Was told not to come in because of social distancing but yet she then let 4 elderly blokes in there at once. Ordered a jacket potato and was just a microwave one. Bad experience swerve if I was you

They did not have the bread I ordered but were kind enough to phone and ask what bread I would like instead. Very good service would order again.Very polite delivery person too.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and nice food. As a family had chicken tikka pizza which was home made tasty and very filling, Cajun chicken which was delicious and a kid's chicken nugget meal, followed by an orio ice cream which was devoured in seconds. We haven't been here since the new management but found it lovely, including the decor and will be returning often 😀......edit, it stopped serving food very quickly and has since closed in May 2024

Lovely staff and good pub food with excellent service. The pub garden and the interior are high standard and we have always been made to feel really welcome

Visited for breakfast, long waits nothing at the deck this was at 9:30am baring in mind! Definitely avoiding in the future.
