We went for Sunday lunch 18th feb and the roast was AMAZING! So much on my plate and it was a taste sensation. The roasters were mine and my son’s favourite. There is a fantastic selections of beers and gins to offer. Staff are very friendly and the manager was especially welcoming to not just us but to all the customers who entered the pub. Would definitely recommend and go again VERY soon.

This is a great place to start off your night as me and the wife were going for into for a curry. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are super helpful and always greet u with a smile

Having recently relocated to Staffordshire we called into this pub for lunch while on business in Rugeley. Very pleasant landlord, and our food arrived promptly and was good quality. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great place to go, it's my local for food or drinks. I want to give a mention to the waitress who tried to give me a pound out of her own tips so I could get my son a toy from the machine. They can't do cash back so I told my son no, as I only had my card, half hour later the waitress comes over and hands me a pound. Of course I gave it back, but what a lovely gesture. There aren't many people like that anymore. Only problem I cant remember her name. But I hope she gets the credit for it.

This was my first visit for a while. The Chase has maintained its high standard of food, service and atmosphere and is still a great place to visit. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of beers and wines. We were served by Steve who was really friendly and incredibly helpful as were all other members of staff without exception. Great to know the high standard from the past has been maintained. We shall return.”

Went to the Chase for lunch and once again very good food . Staff very polite and Steve who’s in charge , top man . I would recommend to every one to give it a go .

The Chase Pub have been amazing in helping Brereton Social Girls football teams. Three have treated us like family and have supported us from the start of the club with either donations from Steve or the regulars for kit or after match food for the girls which is a massive plus. There’s always a friendly face from the bar staff and Steve and Ange are always there to help and support with whatever we need. Thank you for all your support and looking forward to our partnership in the future

Visited on the Tuesday of re-opening. Faultless, and although busy, everything ran like clockwork. Well run, genuine friendly staff, great Landlord. Looks good, cannot fault it. Great location for walkers to the forest and Mountain bikers.

Had a meal here for friends recent birthday. It's good on the whole because you know what u gonna get, cheap pub grub but it's good. More a drinkers pub and wouldn't hurt to have just a few tables as exclusive for diners.

Post New Years chaos continues at this establishment. No coffee. No pizza. No pasta. The food that does arrive is not the freshest nor quick nor cooked particularly accurately. Puddings are microwaved affairs, the burger buns are like cardboard, medium-rare steaks arrive grey and overdone....

I went on Wednesday curry night where you get a curry and a pint. I had the beef madras which is slightly too hot for me. All the other curries are mild. It would be nice if there was a medium curry available.

During the summer we regularly drop in for a pint in the gardens on our way back from walking the dog on the Chase.

12 of us went for Sunday lunch, the food was very good, service was also good, thank you. Pub was a bit busy but the staff coped really well and there was no delay in delivering our food.

I came to the pub a few weeks ago and was assured I’d be welcomed as a veggi for Sunday lunch. But oh no when I wanted to come for Sunday lunch they wanted to charge me extra to have a veggie burger. So I have to pay more for a cheaper product??? I said don’t bother and just give me veggies. No discount. Complete joke. We won’t be back. What pubs need to remember although veggies might be a minority we actually decide where the whole family go for lunch. So annoying especially as we came weeks before to check that we could have a lacto veggi option.

We dropped in for a family get together meal, the menu had a good selection including the children’s selection, once ordered our food arrived in good time and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed, we all enjoyed he food and the atmosphere and we would come again when next in the area

Having been here a few times on a weekday evening and being recommended to the food, I took my wife for a late afternoon Sunday lunch after having driven 185 miles from Kent and not feeling like cooking. Both the bar and lounge eating areas were busy and full of what I was told were footballers. The noise and language in the bar was horrendous and on finding a table In the lounge area, where children and older couples were eating found there were a number of drunken individuals talking very loudly and using extremley bad language. Although this must have been noticed by staff nothing was done about it. On getting our roast beef dinner we found the roast potatoes to be shrivelled and burnt and the beef extremely tough. Although I just about managed to chew through most of it, my wife who has false teeth was unable to eat it. A young member of staff asked if the meal was OK and was told by my wife that the beef was too tough, replied, shall I get you a steak knife. She was so flabbergasted she just said no, and he then left. Although their was a good assortment of vegetables and the price was reasonable for a Sunday lunch, we were very dissapointed both with the meal and the atmosphere.

Chase pub, food was good, the only downside was the temperature in the pub, the windows couldn't be opened and the air con didn't reach to the dinning area. Everyone was on meltdown. The air con needs sorting out. It would help if the windows could be opened.

We stopped in here for lunch. Its very close to the mountain biking tracks on Cannock Chase. It is a large local style pub with lots of parking and lots of choice of pub food. They offer light bites for those not wanting a huge plate of food but they also have the larger plates for those with a big appetite. I had the light bite gammon & eggs, which was delicious and for only £3.80 (gammon, egg, chips & peas) it is an absolute bargain and the drinks are very reasonable too. They have very friendly staff and for locals they even have their drinks waiting for them as they come in! I really loved this place as it felt like an old style friendly pub with a modern look (great big TV's for sports) and delicious food!

This is my local pub and the food is usually quite good. However tonight was the worst experience we have had. Tuesday is pie night and we arrived to an empty pub at 7.00pm only to be told that 50% of the pies were not available so I ordered the acclaimed Yorkshire stack with stilton mash.. oh sorry sir there's no stilton mash.

Often go here and have lunch. Great prices, good food and friendly staff. Plenty of parking available.

Dropped in with friends for a meal and quiz night, very much a locals pub but the atmosphere was very friendly if a bit noisy, the food was very nice and good value, they were very busy on the night we went but the food still arrived in good time, we also came 3rd in the quiz, great night with friends.

I came here Friday lunchtime with my family. For the price we paid, the food was excellent. 3 courses for £5.95! Portions weren't massive but we had the light bites which were plenty given we had the 3 courses. Good pub food. There were quite a few TVs so I guess it could get quite noisy when the football is on. Staff were excellent and we were waited on a by a very polite and attentive young man.

Visited with family on a Saturday evening.... pub very full but with a nice atmosphere also... certainly not a quiet pub at all.. that said no rowdyness despite the football being on... service was very friendly and fast... food quality was good also.. all in all it reasonably priced pub with a warm atmosphere and good traditional food. Would revisit definitely.... deserts are delicious....

Visited here with 2 sons and my husband, we sat by the window. Unfortunately, we were surrounded by shouting idiots, who were engrossed in the football. There were various comments made between them and their friends (everybody who came in knew each other) which I feel were totally inappropriate for small children. It was 5pm. Service was okay, food was nothing to shout about. I won’t go back, mainly due to the atmosphere. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful pub

I took my family here for dinner yesterday, the food was nice and the staff were friendly. The only problem I had is that this isn't really a pub restaurant, it's a boozy local that does food. There is no separation between bar and lounge and your all in it together. There was probably only two or three tables of people eating and everyone else was there to get p*ssed. (About 4pm). Wouldn't usually bother me, it is a pub after all..I just wouldn't take my kids there again.

Have dined here quite a few times and food has always been good, highly recommendable good food and good service. Good sized restaurant and car park.

Gives what it says on the box. Good food at very reasonable prices. Taking advantage of the various offers is a must. All served by a polite and friendly young lady. First time I have been here but will certainly be returning.
