Newhall Farm in Cannock Chase

Very friendly staff, showed us to a table by a window, then we had breaded mushrooms which were too hard to get your fork into but we're very good. Then we ordered the steaks mine came out just right but the wife's came out cooked the same which it should have been cooked a little less. So she did not enjoy it. We just won't have steak infuture.

Well went to 18th birthday meal tonight 40 of us we pre ordered food they brought it out they brought wrong meal out everyone add eaten there's then decided to bring the right meal never had this trouble before left not eating and I refused to oay for meal said they was sorry about it not a happy bunny want be going back again its shit

Excellent, staff very helpfull & freindly, amazing food quality & service

The cleanliness of the whole place wasn't great, especially the tiles in the toilets that were mouldy and in need of refurbishment. Staff friendly, the service was good and the food nice enough. Value for money was very good, 5 of us with drinks, 2 courses of food each came to just under £140. Update from reply: Thank you for replying, as requested I've emailed you, but for review purposes on here, you wanted more information because you couldn't find any mould! Well its not actually on the tiles themselves, but on the grout around them by the sinks and dryers its bulging out, looks unsightly and unhygienic. Hope that answers your question. Update: Had a lovely email communication with the site Manager, what a nice chap. He explained that they're going to have a refurb soon, which is good news. I was impressed by the Managers countenance, he kindly thanked me for the feedback.

Took my boy there this afternoon who can’t have Dairy or Gluten and they couldn’t accommodate us enough. Becky was excellent, thank you so much. We’ll be back soon!

Friendly staff. We don't book a table but they always accommodate us for lunch. Good value for money. Dany was really helpful and friendly when serving us.

I do ask for totally vegan ,I do tell them each time I wish they would cook veggie /vegan in a separate fryer ,so waiting on that . But the prices are getting really expensive now so how much longer we can keep coming depends !!Service cannot fault ,any problems we tell them !!!!

We dined as a party of 5 and everyone had a different main course. Everything was served at the same time and all mains were ver nice. We ordered desserts and they too were very tasty.

Easy to book online. Welcome greeting at door. Plenty of choice of food. The beef dinner and turkey dinner was very nice, especially the mash. Meat could of done with being warmer

After trying quite a few places I managed to book tables for 21 quests at newhall farm and the the management were really polite and helpful 😁,I booked it for my partner 50th birthday party,all my guests loved it really enjoyed it and said the staff and management were very friendly polite and helpful,and said the food was lovely and was fast service and we all agreed that we would differently go there again thank you so much 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Worst Sunday lunch we've ever had. "roast" beef was highly processed, over-cooked, tough and tasteless. Roast potatoes were soft and black inside, broccoli was like mush. So all in all not a great choice. Surely it can't be that hard to produce a decent quality roast and to use better quality meat at the price charged. My wife had the steak and ale pie and whilst the filling was ok the pastry was inedible, we noticed a few other customers had also left most of the pastry casing! Have eaten here before and it was ok but obviously not great on a Sunday and certainly not good for roast dinners!! Table service was ok but plate and glasses were not cleared until staff were asked to do so.

Overall was a lovely meal. My steak came out awful looked overcooked and not a quality piece like the other steaks people had. On pointing this out my meal was replaced. However the rest of the table had finished their food by the time this arrived. Staff were lovely and friendly. My steak meal recooked was delicious 😋

We always come here for our special occasions, or to take advantage of an offer. The setting is beautiful, the draught beer is well kept, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff are super polite and helpful, and we’ve never had a bad meal or service yet.

Pleasant welcome as we entered, showed to our seats, where we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Drinks ordered. Food selected from an interesting array if choice, and ordered on a tab. The bar staff taking the order was polite and efficient. Food served very pleasantly and accurately. Good food, reasonable price. Will certainly be back.

The place has a lovely ambience. The staff are polite and efficient. The food came quickly, was hot and delicious. I had gammon which was really tasty and the chips were just lovely. My husband had steak pie which was crammed with juicy meat in a lovely pastry. Top notch!

This was our 5th visit here for dining in. We had to order and pay for food and drinks at the bar, after not long wait, we enjoyed the food. It came all at same time, was nicely presented and was tasty. We are not going to restaurants very often, but I can imagine we will go there again, sometime in the future. I would recommend this place. It was nice, clean, food was tasty and the staff was very friendly all the time.

The food is delicious and served well but importantly to its never very long . For the price portions were small. My meal was only just warm. Only having a voucher for 30% off, made the price tolerable. No Latte only normal coffee, at £2.75. Meal and discounted price was average, they need to improve to stay ahead ofvthe game in hospitality. People are looking for exceptional standards at these high costs.

If you are a coeliac and require the non gluten containing menu, make sure you ask what the prices are. For some unknown reason, there are no prices on the menu. There are no lunch deals either, as far as I am aware. I ordered the salad with chicken and bacon. The salad on the whole was good, but I asked if the chicken and bacon were hot. I was told they were, but in fact, the chicken and bacon were cold. The meal was over £12. I would not have chosen a salad costing over £12 at lunchtime. I don't understand the lack of prices either.

Lovely friendly greeting, meals were served after short wait, staff checked if all was OK. Puddings were gorgeous and staff acknowledged us when we left. Very nice experience.

We had a really pleasant evening with a couple of close friends. Over four hours just disappeared in a flash but the steaks and the staff were very good, would recommend.

A delicious gluten free roast Turkey dinner and chocolate fudge cake. The staff were very knowledgeable and Becky, our server checked with the kitchen as to what I could eat. My husband enjoyed a prawn cocktail starter, scampi for his main and then jam sponge pudding for his puddings and he enjoyed it all. Initially, at 1:15 the service was very quick but as the place got busier we found that we were waiting for our desserts but overall it was a very pleasant meal.

I went there with my family and the atmosphere was hostile..the level of racism in there was so high.from a customer across the table giving us condescending looks to the staff roaming around our table every few minute. I dine out every weekend with my family and we try out a lot of restaurants but I have never had this kind of experience anywhere else.

We had a truly fantastic dining experience at The New Hall Farm yesterday! From the moment me and my partner stepped inside, we were impressed by the wonderful ambiance – it created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The cocktails were absolutely excellent, expertly crafted and the food was delicious. Honestly, it was one of our best experiences in a long time. Very well done to the entire team at The New Hall Farm! We'll definitely be back soon and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Staff were very helpful and polite however the pub was so cold everyone around us had their coats on eating including ourselves. The customers on the next table were even complaining how cold it was. When my wife's main came out it was also a chicken pie not cheese and leek which was a problem as she is vegetarian, however bar staff were helpful and changed it straight away and knocked 20 off the bill which was nice. Overall though I would say with everything overall it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed our meal with family and friends, but did have to wait some time for food to arrive, apart from that a very enjoyable time .

I had the hot dog with skinny fries - would recommend and my friend had Hunters Chicken with chips and she ordered extra side of beer battered onion rings the latter were overcooked so we left them - shame really, because the meal was lovely but the onion rings kind of spoiled the whole dining experience. We did tell the waitress but nothing came of it - suppose that's the pitfall of paying up front.

Booked late and still managed to get in will happily visit again. Came with my elderly friend and staff couldn’t have been more helpful even laughed at the jokes she told her. Food very tasty too and didn’t have to wait too long

I needed to find somewhere local to eat after walking at Cannock Chase and before my trip to the Prince of Wales Theatre. I hadn’t booked but the Manager found space to accommodate me, and was helpful in recommending drinks. I also spoke to a lovely local couple whilst waiting for my food, which was delicious. Other staff members were helpful too. I will definitely visit again and recommend it.

When arriving at the restuarant it was busy however we were greated and seated promtly. When placing the order at the bar there were no waiting time and i was served with a warm welcome. Food arrived quickly and hot and there was plenty it was very tasty. Would defitintley return, the 30% off main meals in January is a very good idea and absoultley fantastic value for money and added bonus it can be used mon-sun.
