Newhall Farm in Cannock Chase

Staff were very helpful and polite however the pub was so cold everyone around us had their coats on eating including ourselves. The customers on the next table were even complaining how cold it was. When my wife's main came out it was also a chicken pie not cheese and leek which was a problem as she is vegetarian, however bar staff were helpful and changed it straight away and knocked 20 off the bill which was nice. Overall though I would say with everything overall it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed our meal with family and friends, but did have to wait some time for food to arrive, apart from that a very enjoyable time .

I had the hot dog with skinny fries - would recommend and my friend had Hunters Chicken with chips and she ordered extra side of beer battered onion rings the latter were overcooked so we left them - shame really, because the meal was lovely but the onion rings kind of spoiled the whole dining experience. We did tell the waitress but nothing came of it - suppose that's the pitfall of paying up front.

Booked late and still managed to get in will happily visit again. Came with my elderly friend and staff couldn’t have been more helpful even laughed at the jokes she told her. Food very tasty too and didn’t have to wait too long

I needed to find somewhere local to eat after walking at Cannock Chase and before my trip to the Prince of Wales Theatre. I hadn’t booked but the Manager found space to accommodate me, and was helpful in recommending drinks. I also spoke to a lovely local couple whilst waiting for my food, which was delicious. Other staff members were helpful too. I will definitely visit again and recommend it.

Had a fantastic meal here, affordable, friendly and quiet atmosphere. Burgers are fantastic !!!

"We have visited Newhall Farm multiple times and the quality of the food has been consistently excellent on each occasion. The food is well priced, the staff are friendly, and there is plenty of seating available. It's always a delightful experience, and we highly recommend it.

Just popped in for Sunday lunch on the off chance ... we got a table .. we had 2 Sunday lunches.. was was OK.. tastless & just warm . Wait, it wasn't long about 15-20 mins £34 for 2 lunches & 2 pops

Lovely bar staff always helpful and pleasant. Food always decent and always a great bargain with the 30% off we had received. Can't fault it really

When arriving at the restuarant it was busy however we were greated and seated promtly. When placing the order at the bar there were no waiting time and i was served with a warm welcome. Food arrived quickly and hot and there was plenty it was very tasty. Would defitintley return, the 30% off main meals in January is a very good idea and absoultley fantastic value for money and added bonus it can be used mon-sun.

All the meals were excellent and good value however we weren't able to use the advertised offer of 30 % off main meals as apparently we needed a special code.That was disappointing perhaps the adverts should be clearer about how you can use these offers

We went to the Newhall Farm for a family Boxing day meal, it was absolutely delicious. Service was good, and food freshly cooked and hot. Definitely be going again.

Suitable ambience. Food ok but not the best but well-presented by no-doubt hard working kitchen staff. Under-manned and over-priced bar! Sorry to say we won't be returning.

The service was not friendly and poor. Food was less than basic and the mulled wine was warm red wine with no flavour. Waitress claimed they had no sweetener. We will not be coming back

Arrived with family to celebrate my wife's Birthday & thought we would give this a try, which is out of our residential areas. Apart from Chocolate Brownie being served cold instead of warm, you couldn't fault the food at all. However, the issue of ordering your drinks & food at the bar when you are a large party is absolutely ridiculous & something that we haven't ever before experienced when dinning out. My wife asked for further drink & was told that we had to go to the bar, so we decided to forget having another drink, until about 5 mins later we were approached & asked if we would like drinks & this was a very welcomed request & we certainly indulged the opportunity, but believe this was only because we had moaned. Customers love to receive a great service, not a problem if just 2-4 of you are dining or sitting in the bar, but restaurant service should be on offered. Would also suggest applying signs for the ladies toilets, as we had a couple of ladies asked where they were, because signage was none existent & doesn't cost much. Seemed to be staff just walking backwards & forwards at times & need to be more proactive. Very disappointed with the whole experience, but food is reasonably priced & well worth it, complements to the chef. Really would like to give 5 star rating, but front of house definitely needs work. Oh & just because you arrive with children, doesn't mean that they don't eat adult meals, so maybe ask before presuming & give us menus that we don 't need & leaving us short on those we do.

A really nice rustic pub with great quality food, good service and fair pricing.

Food has gone downhill - burgers tasted like school burgers - all you gotta do is take a little beef, onions and eggs and fry them. How you made beef taste like that - I can't imagine. Also - you appeared to have about 5-6 waiting staff hovering about, it was pretty full - and 1 guy was behind the bar. In addition - if you order from the table, you are forced to give email and phone number and you emailed me today without an unsubscribe in clear violation of GDPR regs.

Christmas set lunch for a group of 10. Great service from Reece, Abi, Dany & Kie. Welcoming, efficient, helpful. Thank you! Good size portions, main course hot, good selection, turkey moist, veg crisp, all spot on. A bit more expensive than similar pubs in the area, but well worth paying the extra for a totally enjoyable experience.

On arrival the staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The food was well presented and cooked, we ordered the steak pie and the gammon dishes. It was very busy when we arrived but we did not have to wait long for our order.

Shame as the place it really nice inside. Food was not great at all and there was cold air coming in from underneath our seats which made it quite uncomfortable. Definitely would not rush back for food.

Our server Danyelle was amazing. We had a large table and a lot of kids with us, one of them being my 2 year old. She continuously bought us things over to occupy him, toys, pens, colouring etc to help keep him happy. As well as being really friendly and an organised server with how many people we had (30+ people). Thanks Danyelle!

Celebrating my parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. On arrival the pub owners had put a bottle of Prosecco and card on the table which was a lovely touch thank you. We did have an issue with presentation of one meal but this was rectified once reported. Everyone enjoyed themselves lovely atmosphere.

It was our Christmas party for 23 of us. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was good and the atmosphere and Christmas decorations were fantastic. Jo was looking after us and she did an amazing job.

Our pre-order was double checked and was perfect. All meals came out together and were great quality, good portions too! Drinks were served quickly and all staff were friendly and helpful. A great meal out with friends!

Excellent service great food and good value for money.

My family and I had the christmas festive meal. We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our table, they waited till all our family members had arrived, then once were were settled if we were ready for our food. The portion sizes were good, I could not fault any of the food, (roast potatoes to die for), Charlotte and the rest of the staff, was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Sunday afternoon Having been before with my partner I decided to book for a pleasant surprise mainly because of the gluten free menu as my partner as celiac. We arrived and was seated, it was busy. My partner decided what she wanted and proceeded to the bar to order and pay. I was then told the gluten free menu wasn't available, well most of it. This then put my partner into a dilemma.. What can she eat.. There isn't much for gluten free at the best of time.. Well she ended up with a prawn cocktail starter which really wasn't appropriate on a cold damp Sunday afternoon. I ordered the so called gammon and chips with a fried egg. It arrived and I'd actually thought I'd ordered a children's portion. Value you for money not in my eyes. It ruined my little surprise for my partner and I.

Met up with a work colleague for some lunch. The food was very good and we were looked after by Reece who was perfect and a credit to the place.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The pub was decorated lovely for Christmas and felt warm and welcoming. The food was really nice, good value for money. A good selection of desserts, I had the sherry trifle cheesecake that I would highly recommend!

A very nice visit, enjoyed the food, the wine not good and certainly not cheap! Our table was by the entrance door, unfortunately it was a very cold day causing a cold draught each time the door was opened. Otherwise very enjoyable.

Our food order was supplied in a reasonable time, although the people on the next table to us had been waiting some time for theirs when we arrived. However, finding staff was hit and miss. Went to the bar on two occasions, once to request some additional sauces and once to order dessert and both times there were no staff in evidence and we were left waiting around for service. The staff member who greeted us upon entry appeared to be having lunch at a table and totally ignored us and we were left to wait until another staff member appeared, which was not ideal.

The food was delicious. Steak melted in your mouth.

These are observations not critisisms. 1/Please change what you satinize the tables with ,it is like glue, rested my arms on table had to peel them off ,stuck to the table.2/ the reason i only gave 4 stars for the food was because a banoffee tart/pie, choolate or otherwise is meant to taste of banana and toffee could only taste chocolate nothing else .main meals and service were excellent ,nice capocinno to finish. Will defo go again .

Would have been 5 stars however we couldnt order a mixed grill on the app only the mega one and assumed there was an item missing however we heard as we were leaving someone take a mixed grill to a table so a little disappointed that the app menu didnt quite match in regards to availability. Would definitly recommend and return. Have been previously and it wasn't as good so it was definitly worth the visit. Thankyou to the team we saw

We dined as a party of 5 and everyone had a different main course. Everything was served at the same time and all mains were ver nice. We ordered desserts and they too were very tasty.

Reece was brilliant from start to finish. We didn't book a table but he was more than helpful with accommodating us. They was clearly busy so I asked what time we would need to vacate the table. Working in hospitality myself I'm fully aware of time restrictions. Food was amazing 30 min wait on food which was fine all staff friendly and very willing to help We will be returning

We were very pleased with everything about our visit. we were welcomed and seated straight away. We were offered drinks and give plenty of time to look at the menu without it being a long wait. The food was served hot and didn't have to wait to long and when we finished we were not rushed to move. The staff were well manned and professional.

Food was nice, good range on menu. Family had brought a cake and balloons which were allowed on the table, staff brought out cake at the end of the meal with lit candles.
