Newhall Farm in Cannock Chase

These are observations not critisisms. 1/Please change what you satinize the tables with ,it is like glue, rested my arms on table had to peel them off ,stuck to the table.2/ the reason i only gave 4 stars for the food was because a banoffee tart/pie, choolate or otherwise is meant to taste of banana and toffee could only taste chocolate nothing else .main meals and service were excellent ,nice capocinno to finish. Will defo go again .

Steak and ale pie had soggy pastry and too much gravy with too little meat Sirloin steak had too much fat and not as tender as I am used to

The food was very nice. Took a while for our mains to come out but wasnt ridiculous. The drinks came very quickly when ordering using the QR code. Would have like the empty glasses to be taken more quickly. Would understand if they were very busy but saw some of the team standing at the bar talking at one point. Very friendly when paying at the bar too and bringing the food out. Would have been 5 stars however we couldnt order a mixed grill on the app only the mega one and assumed there was an item missing however we heard as we were leaving someone take a mixed grill to a table so a little disappointed that the app menu didnt quite match in regards to availability. Would definitly recommend and return. Have been previously and it wasn't as good so it was definitly worth the visit. Thankyou to the team we saw

We dined as a party of 5 and everyone had a different main course. Everything was served at the same time and all mains were ver nice. We ordered desserts and they too were very tasty.

Reece was brilliant from start to finish. We didn't book a table but he was more than helpful with accommodating us. They was clearly busy so I asked what time we would need to vacate the table. Working in hospitality myself I'm fully aware of time restrictions. Food was amazing 30 min wait on food which was fine all staff friendly and very willing to help We will be returning

Food was nice, good range on menu. Family had brought a cake and balloons which were allowed on the table, staff brought out cake at the end of the meal with lit candles.

We were very pleased with everything about our visit. we were welcomed and seated straight away. We were offered drinks and give plenty of time to look at the menu without it being a long wait. The food was served hot and didn't have to wait to long and when we finished we were not rushed to move. The staff were well manned and professional.

Fabulous food portions Meals are always served hot & well presented We are regular customers now & have enjoyed a range of different meals we especially enjoy mixed grills & steaks Service is always friendly ,restaurant is always clean & warm

Really lovely staff who try to go above and beyond to accommodate your needs ( wheelchair space in quiet corner) quick service and regularly checking in to make sure everything is ok. The meals themselves are really lovely and the steaks were all cooked well and as requested. Great ambience- we will definitely be returning very soon! Thank you all so much for a lovely evening.

First time in this pub, just a spur of the moment heading back from Stoke wanting something to eat. Lovely atmosphere, friendly & over accommodating staff, especially Olivia, very attentive. There is a large car park & i was very surprised how casual but comfortable it felt. I would definitely come here again if I was passing.

Popped in for lunch today after driving passed many times and seeing the picture of the burger they do. I had The Ultimate Spicy Beef Burger and it did not disappoint. It was very tasty and sweet. I would say the spice level is medium at best but it wasn't the reason I picked it so I didn't mind it not being spicy. Plenty of free parking and didn't need to make a reservation for lunch.

Professional friendly and helpful staff. My husband is a coeliac and is normally restricted where we go but due to the excellent way the staff have delt with our situation we shall be recommending to all our friends. Well done to all staff.

The food was beautiful, the staff were polite, friendly and helpful and my daughter coped well in the environment, she is autistic so she struggles in some places.

Lovely traditional pub. Well laid out so it felt cozy. Nice to see drinkers at the bar. Staff were excellent. Didn't wait long at the bar for service. Everyone was smiley. Table check back after starters and mains happened within minutes of getting our food. Food was hot and well presented. Great value for money. Constant stream of people through the door. Very, very good. Well done to everyone

We missed out on a Sunday lunch as they had sold out- (It was after 6pm). Nevertheless food was nice, good value (30% off mains deal) and the usual good service.

All good and dog friendly. My food wasn't hot enough but everything else was good.

We go there on a regular basis because we enjoy the hospitality and great food. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. They put on different events to embrace all ages of the community.

Came here tonight with a friend, greeted by a very happy lady at the entrance who took us to our table in the corner of the room. First impressions - the place was warm and had a nice energy about the place. We opted for burgers and found the food great for the price. I really enjoyed our visit and will return.

I have to say, the food was surprisingly nice, decent portions and the burger deal was really good value! I'd say the only downside was the tables were super sticky. But had a nice meal with a good atmosphere.

Restaurant was quiet so easily seated on cosy raised area. Staff were attentive and helpful. Meal arrived in very reasonable time and was well cooked to our requirements. My partner requested a change to some of the items and this handled without fuss. Good value menu and overall a very good experience. Will visit again in near future.

Very friendly staff, showed us to a table by a window, then we had breaded mushrooms which were too hard to get your fork into but we're very good. Then we ordered the steaks mine came out just right but the wife's came out cooked the same which it should have been cooked a little less. So she did not enjoy it. We just won't have steak infuture.

Went for Sunday lunch, one meat on offer that was fine but overall the meal that cost over 15.00 was like having a child's portion, no vegetables only carrots.

Came for an 18th Birthday and the staff had already prepared the table. Service throughout was excellent and the food was very very good.

There is nothing to add as service, was as usual great. Food was great and the speed of the food coming to us was fast and delicious.will be back

Visited Newhall Farm last week and had a lovely Scampi & Chips. Good selection of beers to choose from. Our waitress was called Charlotte and looked after us really well. Will defiantly be returning next time I'm in the area.

All the meals were excellent and good value however we weren't able to use the advertised offer of 30 % off main meals as apparently we needed a special code.That was disappointing perhaps the adverts should be clearer about how you can use these offers

Just don’t go Bad service from the onset. Staff aren’t interested. Food was abysmal. We complained and were ignored Also wrote to head office and they sent back a cut we paste reply to which was frankly insulting We wrote again and head office ignored us The same menu as the winding wheel but not a patch on the place Where is the customer service ? Where is the food quality? Where is head office at when u have a legit complaint? Bad

This pub is a lovely place to visit. Good menu good atmosphere great staff. We live 2 hours away but when we visit our daughter who lives ,10.mins walk away we always visit this place Anne walker

Lovely food, and great service, and even though it was relatively busy, the food came quickly. The only thing I would recommend would be to improve the entranceway for wheelchair users. The red cobbles/bricks from the car park onto the paving (by the outside seating) are very uneven and quite unsafe, and the "ramp" could be wider as it's a relatively tight turning.

Great food, good prices, vast availability of beers alcoholic and non alcoholic. Staff very attentive and happy to help when required. An area of attention for the table cleaners would be pay attention to the edges of the table ours was sticky in places. I was surprised that dogs were allowed in where people are eating, if you are scared of dogs then you don’t expect to get confronted by them in a restaurant.

I use a Marstons pub regularly for both food and drink, this place is slightly different to my local with a more varied menu 😋

Newhall farm is a good pub/restaurant. We have been several times before always good service good food. Will be back. Anne waller

I am writing this review because I feel this place deserves it I always enjoy the food I have here and iv not once had a problem with it and trust me I'm a verry picky person. If you look at my other reviews iv not been the best at other places but I also make reviews when I feel they deserve it. This place deserves it thumbs up guys and hope to see you again soon

We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming server called Charlotte who took care of our every need from start to finish with a smile. The food was lovely, was served promptly and nice and hot.

Typical pub food and a great family vibe. Went to meet family from the US and UK, so we were a party of 7 with a 1 year old. Overall good was good, would have liked a bit more flavour on the Texas burguer (apologies if the name is incorrect), thus it is the only reason I am not given 5 stars on the food category. If you are driving through Cannock Chase it is a good place to drop and recharge. Also they had a homemade dessert that was incredible !

Cannot fault this pub, the food is very good, the staff are brillant, all very welcoming and nothing is a problem for them. We have been many times and will continue to go. My wife has to have gluten free food, she has never once been ill after eating there unlike other pubs we have been to, love going there,simple.

Very busy but the staff were excellent and found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Our meals were excellent, we went for the Chef Special menu and had the burgers. Both meals were succulent and plentiful, having the prawn cocktail and Bourbon Chicken strips to start. We were very impressed with our meals tonight and will definitely be back again. Great service and well recommended.

Unfortunately another Marstons pub that advertise vegan/vegetarian options that they cannot guarantee are cooked in a designated fryer so therefore legally not vegan or vegetarian. Who wants veggie food contaminated with meat & fish?

First time in all the visits, that my request for higher chair was recognised, this made all the difference Tommy visit, the food was excellent, my partner was diagnosed diabetic this week, was impressed with the light option available with steak

We booked a table at The Newhall Farm to celebrate my daughter passing her GCSE's. Staff were very welcoming and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The meals were well prepared, hot and delicious and just the right portions. A thoroughly lovely experience and will definitely be going back again. Thankyou

Good food, good value & good service

Staff were extremely helpful in also getting food quickly for some late arrivals in our party so that we could go on to a funeral service. Very friendly, food was tasty and service very smooth.

Would have been better without barking dogs. Now I am a dog lover very much,but I would never take my dog into a pub where people are eating and know there would be a possibility that it would bark at other dinners.

Excellent meal friendly staff nothing too much trouble a pleasure todine there meals are always hot.

Called in for dinner on Sunday, we had some vouchers which made it worth going. I had fish and chips and my partner had the kebab, food was nice and hot, arrived quickly... nothing spectacular but an OK meal, staff were friendly and checked on us throughout. Shame they stopped the 2for1 deals. Big car park for easy parking, small outside seating area.

Lovely food, great prices. We really enjoy coming, always something for everyone to enjoy and the kids toys and bits go down a treat while the little one waits for her fav chicken nuggets and carrots sticks. We took all our family tonight for my Uncle who is really poorly at the moment but he was desperate to see family. When my Uncle became unwell, Kerian was fantastic, came straight over to help and checked in on him once we sorted him out, cant thank you enough for your support to keep our meal out with family as normal as possible despite everything.

Service was quick. We had main meals which where lovely and hot. Nice friendly staff.
