I have been visiting for many years and always found breakfast excellent with a choice of small or large English and several alternatives However last Sunday I chose the Small English but asked for a sausage instead of the fried tomato Though all the rest of the Breakfast was good The sausage came badly burned and the skin unable to cut with a knife. so after several attempts to cut it I gave up on it Unfortunately the Staff were all busy elsewhere though not with customer as it was early I mentioned the sausage to the waitress but although offering another sausage - pointless as I had finished . I will in fairness say in all the years I have been a customer -this was the first time I have had an issue Going back to when it was the Whitmore Gallery run by Chell s! I have in the past had many excellent breakfasts often for many years in company with my Son I trust this was an odd oversight and not a trend! In all those years of patronage this is the first occasion of any mistake.

We found Platform 3 when looking for venues to hold a Celebration of Life for Mom. Wonderful service from start to finish from Collette and the team, from the moment we enquired about availability to the Celebration itself. It was a lovely venue for friends and family to spend time together. The food selection was great and we had a lot of people say to us that they really enjoyed it. Thank you.

First time here. Lovely location. Right the side of river. Staff were great. The food however is not good value. We had the tapas. The arancini were small balls with just rice inside. And just slightly coloured with which I presume to be the ragu ? No sign of a raging sauce. My brusheta had no hint of garlic or basil ? Just tomatoes and a bit of rocket. Again small portion. The serving of the food was strange aswell. I thought the idea of tapas is to have different foods in front of you at one time , they all canes at different times. The aubergine came 15 mins after the first dish was served. We had eaten the rest by then. Meat balls were ok but again small portion. Shame really as for me the dishes are way overpriced for what ( and when ) you get them. Could be better

Went here for family birthday. Banqueting menu had chicken, fish, meat, veg option. Food was luke warm on arrival for starters and main, I prefer my food piping hot. Seasonal veg was just huge amount of carrots and beans. Puds lacked excitement for an Al a carte restaurant. What makes this place is the staff. I was taken ill and their kindness was very welcome 🙏 especially a male called Alex. Don't think we would use again for private dining experience but do want to praise staff.

We are local living in the next village and invited some friends for Sunday lunch. We were horrified to learn that at 2.15 they had run out of beef and cauliflower cheese. They serve until 4pm. I then ordered pan fried chicken which was overcooked and tough, the portion was half a chicken breast. The roast potatoes were not roast potatoes very tough to get in to. The vegetables were stringy all in all this was the worst Sunday roast we have had and we eat out at least 2/3 times a week. Finally I do not mind paying for good food but to add insult to injury the food and drinks were overpriced. They are charging city centre prices. I will not be recommending this pub to all our foodie friend

Sunday lunch. Excellent, perfection, superlative!. Tried very hard, but could not fault any part of the meal. Everything cooked to perfection, extremely generous portions. Plates hot, extensive choice of vegetables. Staff efficient, friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Excellent value for money. We will most definitely be returning for more.

We saw this place by the roadside as we drove towards Manchester. It took us half a mile to find a turn then head back to take a chance on lunch. Great food, great service and a lovely place to be. Highly recommend the suet steak and kidney pudding, roast carrots and pan gravy.

Outstanding food at the Waggon & Horses today - Saturday 8th March! Braised steak was Excellent with a large lean portion and melt in the mouth texture. This was smothered in a super tasty gravy containing onions and mushrooms. The chips were homemade and delicious and the veg was cooked just right. It was a large plateful of food - just the way I like it and completely to my liking! Karen told me the assistant cooks were in the kitchen today as the normal chef was on holiday. They are just as good as the main chef - if not slightly better. Well done to all concerned for such a star meal!

My wife and I found La Madeleine whilst having a wander around Herford. The place is an unassuming bistro on Church Street that served a very pleasant lunch, we went for the homemade quiche that came with salad and herbie potatoes, which proved to be very tasty. The service was polite, efficient and friendly. The establishment has a wonderful courtyard garden. All in all a great place to eat when visiting Hereford.

Been here a few times and the last 2 times the service has been very slow. The first time, before Christmas, nobody came to take our drinks order for our afternoon tea. This was noticed by one the staff and was rectified with a free glass of prosecco each. The menu on the afternoon tea wasn't explained to us like it was to the table next to us. The second time, in February, we had ordered drinks at the bar and told the drinks would come out to us. The bar man had made me the wrong drink and then the waiter showed me the receipt and said this is what you ordered. I said, no I ordered the other one. He argued with me implying I didn't know which drink I had ordered then said "try it and if you don't like it we will make you the other one" instead of apologising and bringing out my correct drink! We were then left waiting ages to place our food order, plates to be cleaned, asking for dessert, etc we had to flag people down each time we needed something. It was like our table was forgotten about.... Again! When paying the bill, we asked for the service charge to be removed to which the waiter (the same one that argued about the wrong drink) looked shocked and asked and confirmed numerous times the total amount which we agreed with but still kept asking when we wanted to split the bill between 4 of us.

A romantic little gem of a restaurant and our 2nd time visiting. The food is superb, tasty with a beautiful choice of meals, expertly cooked, all our meals have been amazing. It's so chilled and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples. Thanks again for the wonderful food and customer service
