Nice place. Food very good. Had the afternoon tea. Plenty to eat and drink.

The food was lovely, everyone enjoyed it, lots of selection. I'm not convinced it was all fresh fresh but nevertheless it was nice. There was one member of staff I didn't get her name but she was really polite, nothing was too much trouble and just a really pleasant person. There were other staff members who could of been a little more friendly... I didn't want to ask them for anything as it felt like you were a pest. I kept my thoughts to myself until someone else in the group commented on the fact she felt a couple of the staff where a bit rude and everyone agreed, so that's a bit of a shame. But still it was good value for money and the one.lovely server made up for it!

First time ever visited..What a lovely experience..place was very clean, Staff very friendly and absolutely exceeded expectations...we had the 3 egg omelette added two filling...cooked to perfection ..Thank you and we will be visiting again.

I came in today with my friend. I had the best cottage pie ever, fantastic vegetables and the gravy was delicious. My friend had chesse panini with salad on the side. The food is fantastic with great flavours and the staff have done such an amazing job. That's why is gets busy because of the fantastic food and drinks. Am defiantly coming back again.

Myself and 3 good friends were recommended to visit simply delicious after playing a round of golf we were presented with a very pleasant atmosphere and extremely clean ,tidy and thoroughly welcoming establishment. The friendly and most helpful staff offered a second to none service with a fantastic choice to which all four of us had chosen different meals. The food was served to us at a pleasantly surprising short waiting time and was totally satisfying for four hungry golf weary men. Our meal was simply delicious and we are pleased to have found such an exemplary place to go to after our future golfing adventures .we'll done team simply delicious looking forward to my return . Absolutely horrible food. Ordered 2 scrambled eggs on toast and drinks. The food was totally inedible, the eggs had been microwaved so much that they rubbery and hard. One portion had egg shell mixed in. Toast was equally as poor. At no point did anyone check back to see if our food was good. Had to return food to till, explaining how very bad it was, could clearly see it had not been touched other than a bite or two. Was told by a member of staff who appeared to be manager/owner " well the bread is fresh today " ! That doesn't explain the overcooked eggs or the shell mixed in! No apology from her at all. Another lady who was far more pleasant offered a replacement meal but we declined as it was so appalling first time around. We were offered a voucher to return, but during this time I had checked reviews as saw this was a regular occurrence so I declined and said I wanted my money back and that I had read the reviews and others had clearly experienced what we had. The manager/owner was a waste of time. The staff were apologetic and seemed very embarrassed. We had used this restaurant many times over the years but never again. Save your money and go elsewhere. It really ruined our day.

What has happened to this lovely cafe? You have to go back to early 2023 on this site to get a good review on food. Went with a friend today and ordered a jacket potatoe. It was horrible. The inside was a yellowy grey colour. Sent it back and ordered a bowl of minestrone soup instead. The portion was small and the bread was a small thin slice cut into triangles. It did not taste brilliant. At £7.95 it was very poor value. My friend ordered one of the specials which was cod with mash, peas and parsley sauce. When it finally arrived I could see the potatoes were lumpy. The fish was small and quite hard. Not at all flakey, as for the sauce the texture was like glue. She returned her meal. At £13 it was disgusting. At this point she had no interest in trying anything else. They refused her a refund and only gave her vouchers. My review has one star because it is a really nice clean interior and the staff serving were lovely. They almost seemed embarrassed about the food we were served up. It's a lovely place for a coffee and a cake but avoid anything off the main menu

Visited on 10th May for afternoon tea with the family. The table was prepared in advance and the food and pots of tea arrived promptly. Everything was freshly made and delicious 😋 Many thanks to all the staff, we enjoyed it very much 💐

First time here was busy to be fair cos of it being mother's day to etc just walked in looking for a table and a member of staff gave us their table which ess so kind we ordered all day breakfast it was excellent we will certainly be returning thanx guys x

Afternoon tea which was amazing. Sandwiches were delicious & little luxury cakes . Had to take the scone home though as was too full. Plenty of hot tea . Thank you so much

We decided to go for breakfast as we had been given a voucher for £10.00 . It’s a nice coffee shop and clean as a positive note but we ordered a farmhouse breakfast and a light breakfast and tea for 2 . Having perused the menu I was expecting a fresh breakfast but the tomatoes and mushrooms appeared to be from a Tin , no grilled tomato and no flat mushroom or even whole mushrooms but chopped and looked anamic. I also don’t like my toast already buttered and on my plate what’s wrong with a toast rack and individual butters Also the sausage had a strange texture and I was chewing the skin for ages , not nice. I suggest they get the .sausages and bacon from the butchers over the road especially as even with the voucher it still cost £22.00 . Hence disappointed .

To be honest I used to love this place ,but the food is very over priced now ,for example a simple soup that is bought in and warmed up . I tried a quiche last time ,but OMG it was awful,warmed up in the microwave, ruined the pastry and was so soggy . Shame it was a great place for meeting up with family and friends

Unfortunately if you are vegan you have to pay a supplement, something I have never done in all the restaurants I have ever dined in, so I received hummus whilst my friend had smoked salmon? The tiniest slither of cheese on a dried up piece of cold potato , my friend slices of chicken on a brioche bun, I had 2 vegan chocolates my friend macaroons, plain fruit salad for me, my friend fruit trifle with cream, 2 of the smallest driest cakes, my friend a lovely fruit cake & lemon slice. Yet I have to pay the supplement and my friend pays normal price? I had very basic food, where as my friend had a variety of different foods and tastes, Completely ridiculous, never have I ever paid a supplement for vegan food !! Look around no one charges extra for vegan food, in fact you pay supplements for fish,steak etc. !

Fantastic evening Christmas wreath making at Simply. Our favourite local breakfast haunt. Mike and Sue from Herbarium put on a fabulous demonstration of how to construct a beautiful wreath.. Really lovely food and drinks from the Simply team. Highly recommended

We had 16 lovely ladies attend a baby shower here on Saturday, cannot thank simply delicious enough. Organising it was brilliant and were able to cater all our needs and wants. We ordered a cake off Carole for the occasion which was fantastic! My sister had a lovely time and was a lovely celebration thank you. Staff so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you! We had afternoon tea which was ‘simply delicious’

It's a lovely friendly place. Just popped in for a coffee . Food looked good but I did not stop to dine. Maybe next time .

Very disappointed. Had a long wait for half a bowl of soup and a sandwich. There was some discussion about whether there was enough soup for two when we ordered. It was obvious there wasn’t, hence the very small portion. Over priced in my opinion. Won’t be going back.

Had an amazing bespoke cake made at very short notice. Very impressed with both the quality and service.

We wanted to thank Carol and all the staff for supplying great food and friendly service. For a family event, we would thoroughly recommend Simply Delicious.

Didn’t eat…as it’s not dog friendly as stated on here…only outside… Just a heads up for other visitors…. Owner claimed they’re not licensed for dogs…not sure that’s a thing anyway…

Booked a table for my friend's birthday for Afternoon Tea. I was able to choose the table at time of booking. When we arrived he table had my booking on it and the table was laid out lovely. We chose to have a pot of tea and a little while later a lady bought all the sandwiches and cakes on a cake stand. There was a variety of sandwiches and savoury tarts and sausage rolls. There was a good selection of little cakes. fruit and scones with a little pot of jam and cream for us both. We really enjoyed it.

Had an amazing cake made by Carole yet again for my friends daughter! Everyone loved it absolutly amazing once again Carole’s celebration cakes are legendary !!! ♥️♥️♥️🧕♥️♥️♥️🌸

Really tasty egg mayo sandwich, will defo return

This is somewhere nice to eat spotlessly clean varied menu. The only minus point is you are only given an allocated time at your table which means you are not relaxed if there is a group of you. If you are not taking a group of people where you are busy talking and want a relaxed meal then excellant. The thing is if you are a group of people who spend a good amount of monies not just a cup of tea it's nice to feel relaxed and enjoy your visit.

Fab place for breakfast or lunch, great and affordable food and the staff are lovely! Carole made us some fantastic cupcakes for my fiancés birthday -they look incredible and taste even better!

Beautiful cafe .Immaculately clean, comfortable with a nice cosy atmosphere . Efficient & friendly service . However ,the food is far too expensive ! . I've never been a breakfast person ,so was really looking forward to having a good lunch with my friend. Incidently my name is Pauline Manifold , however my husbands name will show up on this review, as it's his tablet that I'm writing this review on. For lunch I ordered the mushroom soup with a smoked salmon, cream cheese & cucumber sandwich. Soup was watery and not filling ,the sandwich was just two measly qtrs on the thinnest white bread . Honestly it was joke for 15.05quid ! .I really wanted to say something, however I didnt want to spoil valued time with my dear friend (she had a Panini which looked decent )we paid our bill separately on this occasion. The cost of my lunch included coffee which was good quality. But come on people,we're all effected by the cost of living ,and im very aware of the high cost of ingredients . But charging 12 quid for watery soup and a miniscule sandwich( made from one slice of bread !!) just ain't on . I had to buy a sausage roll from the butchers across the rd as was still hungry . I'll probably return if im ever lucky enough , to have more money than sense 😀

Went with a friend for breakfast. Ordered scrambled egg on toast and beans on toast. One capucchino and one coffee. £16.90!!!!! Arrived. Thin sliced bread,already buttered, friend had brown, cheap whole meal loaf. No choice of granary etc. beans on one slice only, second slice cut in two on the side. Same for the scrambled eggs with what looked like parsley on top of the beans and the scrambled egg. Wasn’t even hot. I don’t live here and last time I went seven years ago it was dear but lovely food. There were only four people in there and we were there catching up for two hours. We did have another ‘regular capacchino each, small cups actually £6.00. This place is tired looking now and overpriced. When you have so many eateries in Aldridge you actually need to up your game. I came because I had been previously and it was nice. Had I known what it was going to be like today I would have never recommended. Very disappointing indeed

Just moved to Aldridge and found this place on a walk around. lovely friendly staff great food and great atmosphere What’s not to like! Especially as they do gluten free (I am coeliac)

Awful breakfast, cold scrambled egg . Ordered toast, very thin white sliced bread, barely toasted. Seems to be cheapest possible ingredients. Too many other places offering better food.

Treated myself and hubby to what I thought would be a lovely steak and kidney pie lunch. After a long 40 mins wait, we received 2 hot plates of a supermarket style frozen pies, a dollop of soggy flavourless mash and veg boiled to oblivion. Topped off with water thin gravy. What’s happened to the lovely lunches that used to be served? Has it changed hands? £28 for a meals on wheels style lunch was NOT what I expected.

I would highly recommend Carole for making celebration cakes. She rose to the challenge set to create a cake for my Dad's 80th capturing fantastically a subject she had no prior knowledge of. I was absolutely appalled by the whole experience i recieved today. I walked in asked for a table for one . A man just pointed to a table no Hello or Goodbye . So my seating was actually facing a pillar so i couldn't see anything. I ordered a mushroom soup where i paid £8.95 which arrived a half bowl in and oversized bowl .. luke warm wait for it ...... one slice of sliced pan brown bread!!!!. The soup was tastless and half processed. I also ordered a panini ham and cheese another overpriced ridiculous plate bland and nothing simply delicious about it all. I asked for mustard to accompany the tasteless panini the waitress was like Mustard??? As in she never heard of it. The salt and pepper i had to bang on the table as it was damp in the shakers to get some taste in the bland food.Customer service not one person came to ask how my food was they all knew it was a disaster thats why they kept away . How you charge prices like this for this below average food is beyond me!!!! You should be ashamed . I am from a Restaurant backround and you need to up your game and stop robbing the public. For £8.95 for a bowl of horrible soup and a sliced pan!!!!! You should be giving at least hot rolls, or homemade brown bread. Or even a sandwich. Croutons , fresh cream, fresh chopped parsley even on the soup? Where do you justify your ingredients for that price? You might distract your customers with your displays of chocolates, and afternoon tea and classical music but your food is a disgrace !!!! and your dirty skirting boards and cheap bucket seats are most uncomfortable. I am a local in Aldridge the last time i went in i was told i would have to wait 25minutes for a sandwich. I gave it the benefit of the doubt today but nooo i will never return such a shame for Aldridge overpriced below average food. Makes me laugh people are stupid enough to pay it. I have no problem paying for good quality food and service but i did not receive this therefore my review i do not review unless necessary this was a must

Had a wonderful experience in simply delicious today..the food was fantastic..I had a lovely farmhouse breakfast..the food was of the highest quality very tasty.and very reasonably priced...the staff were lovely..so attentive..I was passing through Aldridge and seen this little place and thought I would definitely give it a try..it's definitely a gem in Aldridge..I will telling all my family and friends about it... thanks everyone in simply delicious

Myself and my mom visited for lunch and we were both pretty disappointed with the food we were served. Very pricey for the lack of quality and quantity. We ordered 2 tuna paninni and 2 decaf teas which came just over £20! The pannini's hardly...

My family and myself had a lovely time there on Tuesday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had 3 hours children with us and nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Highly recommend this for a relaxing meal . The food was excellent too

We had a really delicious afternoon tea (2 adults & 1 child) at this lovely establishment. There were a choice of excellent sandwiches, sausage rolls, mini quiches, scones, small cakes as well as fruit & speciality chocs. It also included unlimited tea/coffee (adults) or squash (children.) The staff were wonderful and very polite & attentive. I would highly recommend visiting and having the afternoon tea or even just a coffee/tea and a sandwich/cake. 😃😋☕🍰

Based on several reviews, I suggested to my mother in law we visit here and I’m so pleased we did as we both came away already looking to our next visit! We were greeted immediately, shown to a table, ordered from the breakfast menu and in addition enjoyed an afternoon take out cake since we couldn’t help wanting to try from the generous selection. A really delightful experience, lovely and welcoming staff and as for the food, it was just as it states on the door…Simply Delicious! We look forward to seeing you soon x

Salmon sandwich £8.80. Sandwiches are way overpriced definitely was not worth the price for the quality. Tasted same as a regular salmon and cream cheese you could get from a meal deal at morrisons or Asda. Wouldn't return

I had lunch with coffee, club sandwich and chocolates. Sandwich was ok, though dry but coffee required 4 shots and coffee shots looked grey! Chocolates definitely not Belgian. Unfortunately tasted cheap.

Me and 7 friends had walked into Aldridge Village from a nearby hotel and stopped for a coffee at this delightful cafe. We sat outside in the sunshine. The coffee and other drinks were yummy and the staff were lovely. Will definitely return here.

Orange, cranberry and pistachio cake is wonderful. Sitting outside in the warm Autumn sunshine having tea and cake was just blissful. The lady who served us was also so lovely and the array of special seasonal gifts for foodies was very tempting 💖

Booked afternoon tea to celebrate my husband 70th birthday 30 September 2021 and i can honestly say it was the best afternoon tea we have ever had.fantastic value for the amount you got it was yummy . service was very good and lovely helpful staff....
