Very nice place, new owners apperantly but really done the place justice. Very friendly and approachable. Highly reccoment.

Just had a 3 course meal with my family. The staff were attentive and very pleasant. The starter, main and desert were all absolutely delicious. You can tell the ingredients are well sourced, with the portion sizes being more than generous had to take desert home as a take out due to how full we were. In the current climate, I'd say the pricing is more than reasonable for what you get -£18 for 3 courses. In my opinion, it is easily the best restaurant in the area 🥰

Booked this for a table of 14. I had called midweek and advised that we would arrive at 14:15pm instead of 2pm to allow people to arrive in waves. When I arrived I'd been advised that two particular waitresses had already said the table was booked for 2pm and the looks they were giving out were anything but friendly! One particular waitress with hearts on her face, yet lacking a heart was nothing short of miserable and passive aggressive! Not able to crack even a semi smile, she came numerous times to the table instructing us to find out how long the others would be, whilst telling us dessert was off the table! They, rather then be grateful for the booking they had, were too busy banging on about how they could have another party take our table at 3.30pm! So had allocated a large booking just a sheer 1:15 minutes to drink and eat. To say this particular waitress was toxic was an understatement! Even when thanked as we left she was stone faced and said nothing. She definitely picked the wrong profession and should consider policing! Don't go here folks unless you want to be treated like garbage! The food was nothing special either!

Food was delicious. Still hot when delivered. I usually cook a Sunday roast but been a busy weekend and thought we’d give it a go as I hate carvery. It was lovely home cooked food. And plenty of it. Thank you. It’s just hit the spot.

The food was really nice but unfortunately the staffing team are extremely rude and don't show much respect to the customers who aren't regular.

Brilliant local offering great pub food. Very friendly staff made us all feel welcome and took care of our large party with ease. Highly recommend a visit.

Very fussy with Sunday dinner As I love to cook a dinner and hate carvery ‘s but as it was Mother’s Day I thought have a day off cooking and if I’m honest dreaded what it would be like but I really enjoyed this dinner, all fresh home made and the gravy was good! Would order again

Proper home cooked food, real chips (not the tasteless frozen chips served by most pub/restaurant chains these days), generous portions, reasonably priced, varied menu, good service. The chef who cooks the evening meals when we have eaten here certainly knows what he is doing.

Sadly a lot of burnt items in the sunday lunch - burnt roast potatoes, burnt yorkie. Food was delivered warm though and well packaged.

Great meal, friendly staff and atmosphere. Ordered sizzling steak with peppercorn sauce and it didn’t disappoint & Very well presented. Will be back again with fiends and family.

Absolutely amazing!! Never eaten here before, but fancied a roast with my nan without taking her out in the cold. Everything we ate was fresh and full of flavour, and the meat just melted in our mouths. The portion sizes are huge, my nan split hers into a meal for tomorrow too, brilliant value for money. Would 100% order here again, and would also try in person. 10/10! Thank you! :)

I ordered the pork dinner and i must say it arrived lovely and hot did not need to re heat it. The meat was a generous portion and was delicious. I asked for no pea’s or cabbage and for these to be replaced with stuffing which they did for me! Would 100% order again absolutely beautiful

2nd time ordering a Sunday dinner. Best Sunday dinner I’ve had in ages. Perfect roasties, mash, peas, cabbage, parsnips, yorkie, stuffing and meat of choice, I’ve now had beef and pork dinners, both been bang on. Defo be ordering again.

The worst food I have ever ordered. I never normally bother with reviews but honestly the dire mess that turned up last Sunday was pitiful. It was disgusting enough to force me into writing a review. Complete waste of money and time, had to order something else from somewhere else. Only ordered because I heard food in house was nice. How bitterly disappointed I was.

What a beautiful pub. The last time we came here was 6 years ago and the food was excellent. We expected it to be good and it did not fail. We phoned our booking and our table was waiting. It looked to have been refurbished since we were last there, it looked more spacial and brighter. The staff were lovely, and even went out of their way to alter my meal as I am calorie counting, nothing was too much trouble. We both had steak and as expected it was cooked to perfection. We didn't have to wait long for food. I would imagine it can get busy so booking I would say is recommended.

So on arrival we get handed a full menu after chosen to have the fish we get told there is only.Sunday rost and no starters which I would have liked to have the soup. We ask to have the baguette and was told we could only eat that at the bar not with the rest of the family. The staff decided to clear the table before everone had finished.have gave 2 cstars because the food was okay but I will not be back again

The quality of the items that did arrive was lovely. But there were items missing (hash brown, black pudding and cup of tea from both breakfasts), and the delivery driver had the boxes on their side rather than flat so I now have bean juice all over the place from where it leaked.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, choice of 3 meats or you can have a bit of all 3..atmosphere was good, service was great, had to wait a short while for dinner but when it's served it's steaming hot and a generous amount..staff are great ..we will be going back..Best to phone and book Sunday roast, don't know if you have to book any other times..they also do a morning menu like full English and loads of other stuff..

Bang on dinners cant knock it still undecided weather worth £25 for 2 dinners though??? The food quality was amazing and come nice and hot bit on the pricey side for me as im poor 🙄 nice treat though would reccomend

Food was nice and staff really friendly. Knocked it down from a 5* because in a group of 6, all our meals came out separately and was quite a wait between first and last meal coming out, which just made it a bit awkward

Not so good today,meal was Luke warm and roast potatoes burnt,usually piping hot .a bit underwhelming today

I had breakfast it was fantastic under new management Steve the restaurant is spotlessly clean and friendly staff Later popped in for a pint in the afternoon and sat outside by the children's park.
