Its time for some renees a short walk down into the town centre from the pub as i didnt find the food cooked through, especially the bacon. They get the food out in double quick time but i dont think beating neighbouring mcdonalds for time targets is the right approach. ** 'Sad' isnt the right word. You normally get it right. I let you know here and i could hardly make a demand when i wasnt the one paying a bil . I still will come as i dont have to just eat in a tavern :)

If you want cheap you have cheap this is the worst food I've ever eaten out frozen chips chicken with just a sauce over it as classed as a New York style absolutely the worst meal out .

Stopped off at the Hussey for tea after a day of shopping. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the food was lovely and filling. Claire and Julie were very friendly. Overall a pleasant experience

The pub has a nice welcoming feel to it along with friendly staff. However the food was tasteless and inadequate in portion size for the starter and price point. All our meals were warm not hot even though they were sizzlers I would think that with how quick food was served it was all pre cooked and held then just plated on the sizzler, this would explain the lack of heat and flavour. This is a shame as the pub has a nice atmosphere, but with food like this it will a long while before we return.

Went for Sunday lunch, was told there was mash but they were running out, which was fine so expected the meal to be compensated elsewhere for example, more roast potatoes or pig in blankets ect but no! Meal came out as it stated on the menu but minus the mash, I get it's a cheapish meal with a drink included but blimey, that was the worst Sunday roast I have ever had, meat was very tough, parts of the meal was cold. It was like the veg was kept in warm water and then just scooped out onto the plate. The whole meal was just plastic, there is nothing home cooked about it....I would recommend anyone wanting a Sunday roast to just go to Tesco, buy a beef ready meal pop it the microwave for 5mins because that's exactly what it was and in turn will save you a few pounds

26/10/24 Only putting 1 star to everything cus how the situation was sorted by the so called manager!. Ordered the kids pizza for my son he was excited about it when it came the 1st time it was soggy and had no cheese on it so sent it back so it came a second time and you would think they would of tried abit harder but it came out a soggy mess took it to the so called manager and she was like I'll tell the shef and said want so nuggets instead. Then I said this is not good enough my son is now upset and she then said that's not my fault that's the chefs. Then another lady came and said she would change it again then it came again and was till the same not happy stupid place horrible people

Lovely food and service, we both had Gammon wich was cooked really nice and food was presented well and nice and hot.

Came with my elderly mother for lunch. Staff attentive & made sure mum was comfortable. Food lovely and staff completed a check back to ensure all was well.

We couldn’t fault our experience today. We wanted some good pub grub for us and our 2 kids. It cost £24 for 3 adult meals (1 shared for our kids). The pie was better than we’ve had at other pubs for double/triple the price. As I was sitting the kids, I knocked the one plate and dropped some food on the floor. A minute later, Jamie turned up with replacements without us evening noticing he noticed / asking! Fab service. Stacey and Angela were also lovely and helpful. We hadn’t been for years cause it had gone massively down hill but will definitely return again. If you want cheap and cheerful (but also delicious!) food, definitely worth a visit.

Went for a meal this evening, had steak ale pie with chips and peas. Very disappointed, contents of pie was all gravy with very little taste, just 2 small pieces of meat about size of a 5 pence piece. Spoke to one of the waitresses who said she will speak to yhe supplier. Would not recommend this meal.

Came in Sunday with the family for Sunday Dinner, was greeted by Nat who has the most lovely smile & very upbeat! She managed to get us in, was busy which was lovely to see! Was served at the bar quickly by Liberty, who was such a laugh & very talkative which we loved. Beef was so tender literally fell apart while cutting it, the Cauliflower Cheese was to die for! (decent portion I must say). Kids loved the Mac & Cheese very cheesy! Very impressed, we will be back again this Sunday x

Monday lunchtime with grandkids for lunch. Kids eat for a quid happy monday. service was excellent thank you Chyna, food was also excellent kids fishfingers andkids pasta, adults fish and chips and cheese burger. All food hot and tasty thank you

Ordered the quesadilla from the lunch menu. The quesadilla itself was tasty, but no gherkins in it as stated on the menu. It should have come with side salad and coleslaw. It came with a few lettuce leaves, and a blob of cheap mayonnaise with a few bits of red cabbage and carrots, which appeared to be out of bag of mixed salad. This was certainly not coleslaw. It tasted disgusting. My friend said her chips tasted awful. We ordered choc fudge cake and ice cream for dessert, however, the staff had clearly forgot to bring it out and we had to remind them we had ordered desserts. When they arrived, they had been microwave for a bit too long, were too hot, and the sponge was a bit chewy. Overall a very average meal.

Sunday menu now lunch and a free drink for a tenner. Make sure you ask for the free drink. If you order out of offer drinks, you don't get the free drinks.

Booked for a family meal they’re was a big party of 22 of us on arrival we were all waiting in a tiny reception area for a few minutes before we was seated to get to our table we had to squash pushchairs and wheelchairs through a crowded dining area resulting in other diners having to stand and push chairs in just so we could get through, we did specify on our booking there would be 2 wheelchairs and a pushchair, when ordering it was easy as half of our table used the app but when food was being served servers were all chaotic and confused, half of our table was waiting a extra 15 minutes for food and we even had to send some items back as it was just burnt to a crisp, desserts also took forever to come out we even asked for a update 3 times as it was taking so long just for some desserts we really won’t be returning anytime soon

Popped in here with my friends again since we found it to be so nice last time. We’re always greeted and treated so nicely. We had some lunch and a few drinks. It’s a lovely atmosphere and the staff are great. We had Claire serving us again and she was as polite and helpful as usual. It really makes a difference when the staff are great. We will definitely be visiting again.

We frequent the hussey arms every once in a while, particularly on "Winesday". I had something completely different today from the new menu and completely enjoyed it. It was a meal out to spend time with my Dad and my Hubby. But the review today goes to all of the staff for the handling of the Male Karen that they encountered today. Kudos to you all.

Food was great and service was the best we have had in a long time. Establishments are hard to find with great staff especially Claire. Went above and beyond

Great food and great service, the only thing that it down was it says its a dog friendly pub and it is but you have to sit outside which is fine when it's a nice day, today the weather wasn't too bad, great outside area and good play area for the kids, only 2 disabled spots weren't the best as they were both occupied and one car wasn't displaying any badge, so it was a bit awkward getting my daughter out of the cater and into her wheelchair!

I went online and booked a table around midday for 8.30pm, only to arrive with my 6 year old niece and a few others to be told the kitchen is now shut. I was not informed of this prior to my arrival. No phone call no email nothing. I had travelled a good 15 mins from Tamworth to come here! To be told kitchen is closed even though the website clearly states 9pm!! Bit of a wasted journey and this pub is usually one of my favourites to dine. A suggestion in future I’d maybe post on social media or switch off the online bookings system so people like myself don’t have a wasted journey.

We had a family meal for 18 tonight at the hussey arms and it's been a mixed bag of feelings. Claire the assistant manager is an absolute trooper, She's hard working and didn't stop all night, an absolute credit to the business. The food was great and came out very quickly, no complaints. The only thing that let the night down was when it came to paying. That being said this is the second time we have experienced this type of attitude from the bar staff when it's come to paying. We went up to the till and waited, the bar staff just ignored us one girl who I believe to be grace came out and we asked if we could pay. She grabbed a handful of glasses from the bar and told us to wait a minute followed by her rolling her eyes at us and walking away. I did say we'll we will just leave with out paying then. I had to go a find Clair to pay our bill whilst the rest of the staff hid in the glass wash room. Claire delt with the situation brilliantly but it didn't help when grace came back out of the glass wash room and shot me a dirty look. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the bar staff. This is also the same issue we experienced the last time we visited the hussey when we had asked several members of staff to take a payment and they all said no to us or ignored us. I think this will unfortunately be our last visit here when there are other establishment that provide a better aftercare to their guests.

Had a mixed grill and a rump steak,no complaints whatsoever. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable,also very lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to come again or recommend highly.

Came here for lunch today with my daughter and again the food was delicious. Cannot fault the food here, lots on the new menu too. Well worth a visit. The staff are all very friendly and they ask if there are any allergies before they order your food. It's got a 5⭐ all round from us :) We were served by Liberty and Stacey, they were fab, thank you :)

We went to The Hussey arms last night for our anniversary meal with our children. My food was fine but the others had beef burgers they was over cooked hard and tasted burnt they really wasn’t nice. No one actually finished their meal as it wasn’t enjoyable. £46.66 wasted. It really put a dampener on our anniversary meal.
