Visited last night for date night. Lovely cheerful atmosphere and the service was excellent. It even felt Calm, which is not something I’ve associated with a Saturdays night dinner service before. We both had steak, which was delightful. And of course couldn’t leave without pudding . I tried the specials ‘ when life gives you lemons’ which was light and sweet . Just perfect. Will defiantly be back

Came here on Saturday 23/03 for an evening meal with friends. Staff were awesome, food was exceptional. I have the David Banner burger............ was the best burger I've ever had. The dessert was divine The bill came to just under £100 (3 mains, 3 desserts, and 6 pints) ........... a real gem :)

Wonderful evening with close friends on a specials night for steak. Cooked to perfection. Everyone very attentive to us all evening. Although the restaurant is quite small this adds to the ambiance. We have been before & will go again as the food is exquisite. One table were a little loud & over the top but it didn’t cause too much of an issue. Well done guys

We booked for 16 people for my Nans 91st birthday. We were requested to pre order the day before which worked really well. The food was excellent, the service was even better and all 16 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The meals came out together and were all piping hot and the steaks were all cooked to perfection as ordered. We will be returning soon and highly recommend Banners for a quality meal. The value for money was exceptional particularly with the steak offer that was on.

Had a great time. A good restaurant has small menu cooked well, and this is why Banners works. A few dishes, all cooked to perfection. Great service, friendly without been overwhelming.

We have been here a few times now,the food is always excellent, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere is great especially last night on the King's coronation as there was live music which was great.

A lovely meal for my birthday and even had a chalkboard "Happy Birthday" sign on our table. Burger Night meant a great deal on a wide range of burger meals but also plenty of other dishes to choose from too. Great friendly service and super cocktails. Would definitely recommend.

Food was average at best .. .went for Sunday Lunch ... Positive was the food was served piping hot , however I witnessed the chef fighting to cut the beef , no wonder it was as tough as old boots ( no steak knife )!! I had a prawn cocktail starter £7 and devoured my 5 prawns !! Service could not be faulted, but the quality of food left a lot too be desired

We had planned to lunch at our usual Bromsgrove haunt, but stumbled upon Banners during a Google search. Very glad we found it! On a rainy Friday, we were seated promptly and presented with not only the main menu, but also a Prix Fixe menu, the brunch menu and the specials menu. So much choice! Tiny criticisms? The sauce for my friend's garlic mushrooms starter was a bit thin & watery and there wasn't much salmon in the salmon fishcake, but both dishes were tasty. The halloumi sizzler & pork tenderloin main courses were faultless. We both had mini desserts and a hot drink. Atmosphere was nice. Staff were efficient. Now that I've found this place, I'll definitely be back!

We have used Banners a few times and never left feeling hungry. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Good quality food at a reasonable price.

First time at Banners. Four of us went for dinner. excellent food from an extensive menu. Between us we had two lamb shanks, duck breast, and a sizzling pork. All cooked to perfection. And a bottle of house red for £11. We were well impressed.

Banners is one of our favourite local places to eat and for good reason. A full range of breakfasts are available ranging from the traditional 'Full English' to US style pancakes and fruit or bacon, or even Steak & Eggs, all are expertly cooked. Throughout the week they have various specials on offer such as Burger night, Steak night, sizzler night, cocktail night and so on There's also an array of themed nights thoughout the year such as Valentine's, St Patricks, which we've tried and found to be well cooked and super value for money. Last weekend we treated ourselves to a special birthday breakfast and really enjoyed their 'Really Posh Eggs' and a stack of pancakes topped with crispy bacon. The food is ALWAYS of great quality, & well cooked and the service pleasant with a smile, plus the fact it's never going to break to bank. It's a very popular venue so would suggest booking Highly recommended !

Moved to the area a year ago and still hadn't visited this place but last night we finally got round to it. Lovely little restaurant, food and service was exceptional, will definitely go back! The scotch egg was incredible and i can highly recommend it.

I recently enquired if it was possible to order an afternoon tea for 2 people to take away. Take out afternoon tea is is not advertised on website but as it is increasingly difficult to sit in and eat out at places with ever changing Covid regulations i thought i would ask. As requested, the afternoon tea was organised and a time given to collect. It was packaged very well. I would like to thank Banners not only for delicious food but for the friendly, proffesional mannor in which this was dealt with a d carried out.Thank you AMK.

My wife brought me here for lunch on my birthday. We are fairly regular here and have never had a bad experience. What was unusual was when we were seated, we were quite literally ignored for 15 minutes before taking our order!!!! I may have been more patient had I been served a drink as we were both parched! After this point it was business as usual, the food came without too much of a wait and was amazing.

I’ve lived in Aston Fields for three years and used Banners Restaurant a few times as we have so much choice, but I must say the new menu, daily specials and service from the whole team is really very good. What have we been missing??? Just popped in for a couple of Bear Island IPAs (draught) and was talked into the wings... well I’m very impressed and will be back, very soon.Great service!!!

Absolutely amazing meal! First time visiting with my mother & daughters... social distancing & hygiene was great. Food came quickly and my oh my it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented & delicious. Childrens meals were generous too. The staff were polite friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend! Cant wait to return!

This was my first visit to the restaurant with my family and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted on arrival by very welcoming staff who ensured that we understood their protocol on entry to their restaurant. The table service could not be faulted and the time between each course was just right. All of the staff were ever so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be returning again soon. I cannot understand how some people have rated you so low I can only imagine that those reviews have come from the opposition.

We booked for Monday night not realising it was the skillet specials. They looked so good we all ordered one at a great price of £10 each. We all really enjoyed them. My daughter opted for the kids sausage meal and that was excellent quality and value for money. Staff were very friendly as well. Great food, service,& value. Even better we got the government 50 % highly recommend.

Really lovely breakfast, the sausages and bacon are very good quality. The track and trace was really easy to do also, you just put in your name and details on the website. We will definitely be returning and wouldn't happily recommend ☺️

Great to see Banners fully open again. Booking on-line was very straightforward, arrangements in the restaurant were well organised and reassuring and the food was delicious and such good value. On Wednesday Steak Night we enjoyed two superb 10 oz Rib-Eye steaks with all the trimmings for £25. There’s a well-priced drinks menu too.

Good quality food - though only the meat options (not good for vegetarian) - and simple, good value options in the main. Family friendly and helpful staff. Come here a lot and have a good meal each time. Wish it opened earlier for lunch though which would make it even more family friendly!

Me and my partner ate here one evening as a treat. We don't eat out much and my partner is very fussy with her food. We booked as it had just opened up after lockdown. We were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff, lockdown rules explained and shown to our table. Our drink order was taken and drinks bought to table. We both ordered a starter and main. I had the chicken wings. These were presented in a basket and tasted very nice. 1 complaint is the sweet chilli sauce had a little to much kick for me but that's my preference. My fiancee had the fish cake and had zero complaints. Our main followed not long after. My banner burger tasted amazing and was massive (ended up being a knife and fork job) it's fair to say this was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The chips were also very nice. My fiancee chose the sirloin steak. She doesnt like the fat part of her steak and trimmed that away and was still left with a perfectly cooked steak. Safe to say the rest of it disappeared. The only complaint from her was the chargrilled taste was a bit strong but again that's probably preference. This is a lovely little restaurant with friendly, helpful staff and we be coming for sure.

Have been here regularly since it opened. The staff are great and the food is amazing and great value. Couldn't recommend Banners enough and can't wait for it to open after lockdown ends.

This is my third visit here and as always I'm thourly impressed, the food is brilliant, the staff attentive and always a joy to visit.I have sat closer to the kitchen today and was thoroughly impressed with the back of house, everything coming from the kitchen looked impressive. I'm a banners customer through and through now. Well done guys beautifuly executed.

The food is fantastic, lovely and fresh, you can’t fault it. Lately the problem is the miserable staff, the ladies today didn’t smile, one actually ignored us and turned her back when we asked kindly for another coffee. I’m hoping during my future visits the staff have cheered up!

On an overnight stay at the hotel next door, we discovered Banners, and had supper and breakfast there. It's cosy, offers a wide menu, at very reasonable prices. The welcome is friendly, the sevice efficient, and the food is of high quality. A delightful experience.

I guess we must just have been unlucky! We took our son and his wife out for a birthday meal and they chose Banners because of the many recommendations they had heard. Service was slow but friendly enough. However, the food did not live up to promise. In fact, it didn't even fit the description on the menu. I ordered Vegetable Sizzler "mixed vegetables with halloumi and tomato sauce on a skillet with new potatoes". Maybe I was over optimistic to think that I would get a selection of sizzling vegetables in a rich tomato sauce. What actually appeared was a few slithers of pepper and a generous amount of raw onion (definitely not sizzling). No tomato sauce. Not a drop. The halloumi was deep fried in such large pieces that it was barely warm in the middle. My husband ordered 3 meat roast which actually contained 2 meats. Being a birthday celebration and the fact that my son chose the venue, we were reluctant to make a fuss. It would be a big ask to get us to try Banners again...Perhaps Sunday staff are not as well trained?

As always, amazing. We’ve been coming here for the past three years (since we moved to there area), we absolutely love it and the food is amazing! We’re quite young and moving to the area was quite new! The only thing is the end...we’ve always loved the fudge and it’s something you absolutely need to carry on! Had a great meal excellent customer service and the burgers are to die for, would definitely go again.

Friendly service at this restaurant and the food was good. It would have got a 5* review if the food had been hotter. We noticed that our plates had been under the warming lights for a while before being served and these never keep the food piping hot. The restaurant was not busy at the time.

I’ve eaten here around 7 or 8 times, the food and service is consistently great and good value for money. The only thing I would change is bring back the black pudding scotch egg starter 😋

Popped in here today for first time as visiting my son.

We visited here for a family Chrismas meal. There were 8 of us in total and the food was fantastic. Service was a little slow to begin with, but once we had the menus and drinks ordered the meal flower along nicely.

We’ve been a couple of times recently (with friends and kids). Every time it’s been a pleasure. The food is really good along with the service. The ambience is really warm and welcoming and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

Visited here with family for breakfast recently and loved it. Never thought about going out for Breakfast before, but will definitely return again. Excellent local produce, good service and cooked to perfection.

After being very impressed with the take away food from the shop/deli we tried the restaurant as a family with friends. Have to say we were all very impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. A good menu and a children’s menu we were all very pleased with our meals - burgers, pizzas, meat kebabs. Lots of choice for vegetarian meals too. Will return soon.

Happened to find Banners whilst in Bromsgrove on a Sunday morning and had a fabulous little brunch. Nice little place with really good quality food cooked well. Poached eggs in Eggs Benedict cooked perfectly with runny yolk. Really nice coffee too.

Spontaneous night out and so glad we did the steak was amazing and £ 15 well worth it , superb and factor in £10 a bottle it was great value .In fact on a Thursday they do allow you to take your own . Why pay a packet Miller & Carter when you dont have too

Wedding Anniversary dinner which was excellent. Good quality food, friendly service and nice surroundings. It’s great that they are now licensed with a good range of drinks.

Really tasty and substantial Sunday Lunch, like a home made one and plenty of vegetables. Shame that you can't take your own drink in now, as this was a big part of the appeal of this place, but a nice meal out and atmosphere none the less. Service is always good too!!

Three of us went for breakfast mid-week. We had one vegetarian breakfast and two smaller portions of full English breakfasts. Service was swift and the waitress was friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend it and will be returning. Might be an idea to book if you go at the weekend.

We visit Banners regularly. The latest visit this week. As always our food was great,choices of skewers and burgher were superb. Very hot and quickly served. We went mad and did deserts.Also very enjoyable.

We went on burger Tuesday and the burgers were excellent, lovely decor and super friendly staff loved it will be going again soon.

We arrived early evening to a quiet restaurant. Despite this we waited ages for orders to be taken. Had it been busy there is an excuse but we seemed to be ignored....

Me and my family go here a lot as it’s local to us and everytime we are here it’s either really good or really bad. The staff are always friendly but sometimes seem distracted with there own conversations by the till and can leave people waiting for a while. The food is also very inconsistent, one Sunday you’ll have the best roast with all the trimmings offered on the menu and the next Sunday you’ll get a bit of dried up meat and have to ask for the rest of what you’ve actually ordered. I think this place needs to have a rethink on how to make every meal a good one.
