Had my mother-in-law come to stay and she wanted to take me out to a lovely restaurant for dinner. Looked up local venues online and chose the Queen Elizabeth Inn. I have been here a couple of times and have been very happy with my meal and I liked the look of the online menu. On arrival, it was quite difficult to park, but that showed us how popular the venue is. The menu was not the same as online, but had plenty of choice. My mother-in-law chose the carrot and ginger soup followed by the Prawn and Crayfish pasta and thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. I had the smoked salmon mousse followed by the a beautiful chicken dish and was very happy with my choices. Excellent food, with attentive service. I would definitely come here again.

We have eaten here several times, and on every occasion the welcome is genuine, food excellent, good choice, service attentive and very capable. Excellent value for money - for example they don't charge extra for a sauce with the steak (as so many places do). We'll certainly be back again.

The Queen Elizabeth came highly recommended (we are new to the area) and we were not disappointed. The pub is like the Tardis with many quirky areas for dining. Menu had ample selection even for the vegetarian in our company. Service was attentive and polite from all staff. Quality and quantity of the main courses were all on point! Not a scrap left on any of our four plates. Despite feeling on the verge of being stored we all went for desert as well (as we skipped starters). Once again clean plates. Value for money was also spot. If you don't believe me then try it for yourself! I don't think you will be disappointed! *****Highly recommended *****

We booked to eat here whilst visiting the area. A warm welcome on arrival, and drinks promptly served - good wines by the glass. A comprehensive spread of choices on the menu. We ordered just main course, dessert and coffee. The mains were excellent - perfectly judged cooking, excellent flavour and good quantity, all served piping hot. The best chips we have tasted for years, and outstanding home-baked pie. The vegetables were at the perfect balance point between al-dente and overcooked. Desserts did not disappoint either, and were followed by some very good coffee. The master plan in this community pub certainly seems to be working. It was a lovely dining experience for us, and the place was very busy - testament to what is on offer.Oh - and the village main street is most picturesque too! I wish it was our "local" pub.

After visiting the wonderful Confetti Fields in Wick we were more than ready for our lunch at the Queen Elizabeth. Followed my sat nav and for some strange reason ended up in the wrong village. Called ahead to apologise that we were late for our table and the staff very kindly helped us out with the chef keeping the kitchen open for us. From the moment we arrived we were met with friendly faces and our drinks and food order were taken very quickly. The food was amazing and we all said we would gladly return. My Mum is disabled and it was nice to have a table with plenty of room for her wheelchair, and also pleasantly surprised at how good the disabled loos were (which isn't always the case in older pubs).

Sunday lunchtime eating out can always be a bit tricky if you don’t particularly want a Sunday roast. I booked the Q.E on the basis that most of the midweek menu was also available, but due to a menu change to concentrate on more local products, and a shorter, more seasonal affair, it wasn’t. This left my wife, who doesn’t eat beef or lamb, with not a lot of choice ( a plain grilled fish would have been great), Having said that everything was of good quality and nicely prepared and presented. Service was efficient. The atmosphere and character of the old inn has been preserved. The price was reasonable for the food offering. We will call again when in the area.

We all really enjoyed our lunch at The Queen Elizabeth Inn today. We didn’t arrive until 1:30 (having already enquired about what time food was served until), and found the atmosphere warm and inviting. The pub was fairly busy with couples and small groups already eating and we were immediately shown where we could sit in a small dining room just off the main bar. We ordered a beef and ale pie, chicken supreme, scampi and cod and chips. All the food was delicious. The smaller portions of scampi and cod were plenty big enough for lunchtime. We didn’t manage a dessert today, but there was a good choice and it all looked delicious! The staff were efficient and friendly. We would definitely go back.

The staff work hard in may opinion, rushing around with food. Nicely cooked food and nicely presented. A nice clean pub. One critism is perhaps queue jumping. Maybe it's a local pub thing but some of the regulars (check shirt brigade) feel they can just stomp up to the bar & get served, irrespective of anyone waiting.

this place truly is a great big gem of a perfect pub.... ive been a few times for a pint and some crisps, for saturday brunch, and now for dinner. Every visit has been faultless in its own way the bitter is delicious - im not an ale fan, but i do like a lunchtime pint every now and then and to me, the bitter is perfect the cafe area is very cosy and a great community asset but the restaurant is just wonderful. the menu change regularly, and everything seems fresh and seasonal the service was very friendly, attentive, and informative..... and i loved her (not quite) "geordie" accent so, for starter i had garlic prawns - just enough garlic, and butter...... and very soft and not overcooked and tough for mains i had pork tenderloin in pepper sauce - the perfect dish - the new potatoes were perfectly boiled, the pork very tender, and the sauce just creamy enough.... my partner has fish pie which also perfect - full of chunks of fish, not too mushy and saucy, and very creamy mash on top . she had pear and ginger upside down cake which was so moist and tasty...... and i had pistachio ice cream. we had some sparkling water, a pint of Moretti and a glass of sauvignon blanc, all for a very reasonable £68 a wonderful night out - thank you to all involved

This was our first visit to this pub and we were not disappointed. Set in the picturesque village of Elmley Castle with easy parking. Despite it being Mother's Day and busy there was a calm, controlled atmosphere. The service was friendly and professional and the food excellent. We both had the roast beef which was perhaps cooked more than to our taste but tender and a huge portion. We immediately asked for a spare plate as it included the roast potatoes and parsnips and red cabbage. Then came another dish with a great variety of vegetables! The dessert menu was tempting but we decided to share a cheese plate. Again a good portion and variety of local cheeses. The piece de resistance for me was being given a little pot of spring bulbs. A lovely touch. We will certainly be visiting again.

We have given the Queen Elizabeth Inn only an average rating, but this needs explaining:We enjoy finding new places for Sunday lunch when we are exploring Britain in our caravan. So our comments are based on comparisons with other establishments we have experienced in recent months. We had a good lunch at the Queen Elizabeth Inn – good, but not outstanding.Service was very friendly, albeit rather slow. In fairness the place was very busy and the two staff were almost running at times to keep all tables served. Also, the menu warns that food is freshly prepared, so may not appear quickly. Fair enough. We chose a two course lunch for £18.35 each. My starter – Potted butternut squash and hazelnut paté was excellent, but my wife’s choice of whitebait was disappointing – only five small, overcooked whitebait, with some (tasty) salad – not good value for £4.50.The main course - roast beef for both of us – was served with roasted parsnips and under-roasted potatoes with vegetables on the side. The cauliflower cheese was excellent, but the other vegetables (broccoli, green beans and peas) were overcooked, not al dente as advertised. There were plenty of vegetables. The beef was a generous portion, maybe not as tasty or tender as we have had elsewhere, but perhaps that is being over-critical.The problem with a meal being not quite right is that it feels unfair to complain. We should have rejected the whitebait, but the prospect of another long wait for a replacement did not appeal.Overall a “just satisfactory” meal (but expensive by our experience elsewhere).

Booked Sunday Lunch for two after reading recommendations. I had Roast pork loin chops, my partner had the fish dish on offer. The pork was cooked to perfection, however, the accompanying vegetables were not. They were extremely under cooked in my view, which was pointed out to the waitress. She commented that some folks liked vegetables with a bite…perhaps a question of choice before being served should be asked? This would avoid dissatisfaction and wastage. Fish dish was very tasty and looked appetising to the eye. Delicious desert of Passionfruit Brulee. Restaurant busy as I would expect for a sunday..pleasant village.

Our only venture out using 'Eat Out to Help Out' . The place has all the makings of a nice venue - but the food was nothing better than average. The Ham was dry & overcooked, with signs of 'freezer burn'. The 'Gourmet' Burger ? It was a burger. Nothing special. The 'Social Distance' spacing was anything but. 3 tables (inc us) at one end of the room - deserted at the other ! (It was as if they were saving on cleaning.) All this whist 'commercial' radio blasted out too loudly. Hardly conducive to a dining room. Some management with a 'critical eye' is needed. Disappointing.

Sadly, unfriendly welcome awaited us - ordered some 'nibbles' which were ok but oh my goodness the garlic bread was nothing short of disastrous - sliced brown bread, toasted with virtually no garlic butter - how they could call it garlic bread is beyond me. Then we were subjected to a staff member eating his lunch on the next table - well his parents can take no credit for teaching table manners - such a shame - beautiful building and good Covid rules in place - you'd think pubs would be overly welcoming in these challenging times - sadly not for us and we won't ever return

After a walk over Bredon Hill nothing better than stopping for lunch, seating either inside or out but best to book as it gets busy. A great menu choice especially the homemade pies. Friendly staff and great service, all covid precautions in place felt very safe.

While staying at Haselor Farm just outside Evesham, we have had the opportunity to visit some local Restaurants. I asked our Host Jackie, where she would recommend for Sunday Dinner, her reply was ' The Queen Elizabeth' in Elmley Castle. We booked a Table for 3:15pm Sunday, as they close at 4pm.From the moment we arrived our hosts were unbelievable, friendly, courteous and couldn't do enough to ensure our meal was the best ever.We both ordered Leek & Potato Soup to start - Divine is the best description, PERFECT...Then for main, we both ordered the Roast Beef. It was unreal. Large slices of the best beef, I've tasted, lots of Roast Potatoes, Caramelised Onion, Green Beans, Broccoli, Carrot & Cauliflower Cheese with a jug of delicious Gravy, oh, and topped with a Large Yorkshire Pudding. It couldn't have been any better. 'UNREAL'If you are in the area, I fully recommend this hidden Gem in Elmley Castle, just outside Pershore. So, THANK YOU to ALL the Staff who helped make this a most memorable Sunday Dinner.

Stopped here for a light lunch and were lucky enough to get an outside table without booking. Staff were very friendly and efficient and menu was varied. Unfortunately the focaccia bread was not to our taste, we found it greasy. Fillings were plentiful and the extra chips were scrummy. With hindsight we should have gone with the white bread option. Drink prices were a little heavy but nowhere near as rip off as other places around. Would we return, yes for sure.

We had such a lovely roast dinner today. Been meaning to try this pub out for ages and we weren’t disappointed! Really great and our 9 month old baby really enjoyed himself and interacting with the friendly staff. - we will definitely be returning

My wife and l had fish and chips at lunchtime I had large and she had child’s portionIt was “ok” but neither of us ate anything else all day as we both felt v queasy by teatimeFar too much oil in the batter for some strange reason Shame ,won’t be going backPs. When waiting there is one v important question.Would you like another drink?(empty glass is the clue). I marvel how much revenue is lost through this failure to train staff.I’d stop here for a pint... but that’s all

We had a very pleasant lunch in this quaint little village pub. The chips were a highlight - crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. During Eat out to Help Out I would recommend booking as a few people were turned away. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Having started to get back out and about after lockdown, it was a very disappointing visit to the pub on this occasion. The staff didn’t appear to be very interested in being back at work, and really didn’t make you feel welcome or pleased for the returning business. The menu was quite limited, but we understand and except the reasons for this during the current situation. However, when the food arrived the presentation was very poor and we felt vastly overpriced considering the portion size. Really disappointing. With more effort and enthusiasm, & a menu revamp - could be a fantastic village pub.

We visit this pub whenever we are in the area. It’s a lovely pub and the location is just lovely. We were really looking forward to visiting on this occasion as it was my husband’s birthday. We entered the pub and it was re-assuring to see the staff wearing PPE. We were told to find a seat as it was table service only, even though there was a guy at the bar purchasing his drink. We found a table outside and waited. The waitress came out and served a group of locals on the next table and then another couple. We didn’t want to put her under pressure as they’re all working so hard at the moment but unfortunately she never returned so we left after 30 minutes. She could clearly see us sat there without a drink so not sure why we weren’t served. I think if the pub is operating table service then that should be for everyone and they should find a way of keeping track of the customers. It’s the only pub in Elmley Castle so no other option for a drink!

We have eaten twice since lockdown ended and have had 2 of the best meals there - the chef is certainly adding some variety to the traditional menu and I have particularly enjoyed the smoked tomatoes and also the lovely variety of Salads that they now have. We look forward to seeing what he will come up with next.

We bought 4 flat iron steaks for less than £5 each this week and cooked the first two last night (with onion rings, mushrooms - all the trimmings) - they were sensational (I’m sure at least some of it was down to the cook!). Can’t wait to have the next two.

Had several meals from the queens during the lockdown and all were fantastic . They should all be very proud of them selves during such difficult times & have done such a good job keeping the local community fed & watered.

Thank heavens for the Queens and the fabulous staff, Mandy, Gemma and Neil. Thank you all for being there for us through this awful situation. We have nothing but praise and gratitude we have ordered groceries regularly from you and also takeaway dinners all of which have been excellent. Always greeted and welcomed - thank you and will so look forward to sharing a meal and a glass or two when this is all over too.

As ever...appalling customer service and yet no-one either sees it or is prepared to do anything about it! Tried to order a takeaway & they’re busy- not a problem at all & we soon found a superb alternative. But woman who answered phone seemed to find it amusing they were ‘fully booked’ & was entirely condescending in her attitude...Neil, you need to move these inept staff on...they are the most rude & disrespectful people we have ever had the misfortune to come in to contact with...!

Ordered 2 x lamb Roasts as takeaways as really didn't fancy cooking, not disappointed. Fluffy Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy. My only critiscism are the roast potatoes which for me personally are too big and are not really "roasted", more boiled and slightly oven cooked! Other than at that the food was good!

The person manning the entrance insisted we wear bands on wrists (plasticised, non-recyclable) which indicated payment of the garden entrance fee which would allow seating in the garden area. Having reserved a table inside, sunny weather tempted us into the garden. No tables were reserved in the garden area. Staff stated they were unable to move an umbrella to provide shade over a table large enough to accommodate the 5 of us. This request was made by 2 very elderly members of the group. We moved to the reserved table inside the tearoom which allowed dogs at tables. Our expectation of a healthy lunch with salads gathered from the wonderful kitchen garden was dashed. Salad leaves came from plastic bags, quiches were supermarket produced and almost nothing locally sourced. Mediocre, bought-in food assembled on site. When asking for water at the table, a glass urn was pointed out to us. “Glasses” were the single use plastic type. 2 of the party, sitting at opposite ends of the table, ordered the same type of tea. One pot between the 2 was provided. When the meals arrived, the waitress stood at the end of the table, announced the contents of the plates and expected to pass them to the person seated next to her for distribution down the table. A second waitress attempted a similar act with the cutlery (wrapped in a serviette) but then did walk around the table and put it in the appropriate place. The attitude of the supervisory staff was high handed. The younger members, although pleasant, were clearly untrained. Although something of a fuss was made about the displaying of the entrance wrist bands if the garden area of the tearoom was to be used, (can only be clearly displayed on a handbag strap or wrist), several customers not displaying bands were seated in the lovely sunny garden. The gardens were simply beautiful.

Early evening meal with 4 friends . We opted for the 2 courses for £10 deal! We tried the 3 options available and each were lovely. Well cooked and presented. Huge choice of dessert - all delicious. Service was friendly and warm - even though as the only person working, she had a lot on her plate! With drinks - it cost £16 per person. The main menu was also good value. A couple of us would have preferred to see a couple of salad option on the menu so that’s what would have made it 5* However absolutely worth a visit.
