Lime Tree in Wolverhampton

Visted lime tree this week self and dog made very welcome. Dog offered biscuits and staff friendly. No complaints will be vistimg there again in due course.

From the coffee, to the cake, the staff, the atmosphere and the relaxing outdoor seating, this is a little gem. I didn't try it but thr brunch selecti9n looked awesome too!

Having visited this establishment several times, I always order a large breakfast. Something I always look forward to. When it arrived it looked good, but that’s all it did. The sausages were rock hard and absolutely disgusting. I started eating it, but no it wouldn’t do. I asked for the whole thing to be taken back and I was asked if I just wanted the sausages replaced or a new breakfast. There was no point having two hot sausages and a cold breakfast. Several minutes later the breakfast came back with less food, scrambled eggs etc. Guess what, the sausages clearly from the same batch were just as disgusting. This ruined the whole breakfast and when I raised this again, I was told that the establishment have had issues before from a particular supplier. As a gesture of good will I was given a refund of £2.00 for two sausages. Service could have been better, considering the breakfast was ruined. I also suggest that the cost of your mistake, buying sub standard food should not be passed onto the customer. A terrible all round experience. Let’s hope things get better. As I said a lovely place, great atmosphere but poor food and equally poor service on this occasion.

When we called to book a table we were advised that the cafe is baby friendly and 2 high chairs would be available When we arrived there wasn't any room to add high chairs on to the table and only 1 high chair I was asked to move pram but there wasn't anywhere for 6 month old to sit so in the end they had to remove half the table so we could fit. It was only 2 adults 1 pram and a baby being carried. The waitress who showed us to the table was quite rude and didn't make us feel welcome at all The lady who took our order was lovely When I asked if there was anywhere to change the baby I was told that I could move the stuff off the shelf in the loo I went up the staircase and it was a windowcil so had to change the baby on the floor of the toilet which was really dirty When I came back down the waitress asked if I needed help because the wooden windy staircase is dangerous let alone if you're carrying a baby I just can't believe they told us baby friendly on the phone when it is definately not and the one waitress made us feel really unwelcome and in the way just for daring to leave the house (2 friends and 2 babies) sadly won't be returning even without children the whole thing was a nightmare

Been to the lime tree a few times , the food and drinks are good and the staff are polite , reasonable priced

Friendly, great service. Sandwiches excellent. Best egg mayo ever. Cakes looked gorgeous , unfortunately tummy full.

Food was fabulous and the drinks lush. Make sure you go hungry as the food kept coming and the courses was divine. Staff was amazing 🤩 Would definitely try one of the other taster evenings.

Visited for the first time for lunch today. Unable to get into two local cafes so ended up at the Lime Tree - so pleased that we did. Excellent bacon and mushroom omelette served with salad. Great value, friendly efficient staff. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you.

we visited with friends who recommended it. we were not disappointed! quite a varied menu and I struggled to chose! Vegan and veggie are well catered for. Coffee was also very good! I also thought it was good value given the portion size and quality of the food. Service was spot on.

Normally a great place to visit. Went today (Sunday June 27). Miserable grey-haired waitress made it clear she didn't want to be there and didn't want us to be there either! We weren't the only ones that noticed. Talk about service with a snarl! Sack your Sunday staff (including a grumpy young man, front of house). Or better still, don't open on a Sunday if you don't want to!

I ordered a cake from Lime Tree for my girlfriends birthday. The cake looks and tastes amazing, and I had great customer service from the cafe. Jane really cared and wanted to make the cake as special as possible. A must have, and well worth the price.

Wife and in laws visited today one of whom is wheelchair bound. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, moving tables and chairs to accommodate wheelchair. Very welcoming and lovely food.

Its a little find for having a lazy Sunday morning coffee with the dog. I think its a great idea, however it did get a little crowded outside with so many dogs, no so relaxing as I had hoped.

Nice place in a pleasant location in Tettenhall village. We had sandwiches with the option of toasted sandwich on request and a smoothie, pear cider and a mug of tea for £25.30. The gents and ladies toilet is upstairs.

We have visited twice in recents weeks and can honestly say it’s a great little cafe, a great menu, speedy and friendly service all at a reasonable price. We will be going back.

How lovely. A cosy compact gem of a place! I ordered poached eggs and mushrooms on white bread and it was done to perfection, good quality tasty food that was not overpriced.

The staff are friendly I arrived 10 minutes before opening and sat outside someone came out and asked if i would like to wait inside, Nice one. The food was excelent beautifully prepared and excellent taste. Thanks a great way to start the day.

My dog was grateful for the bowl of water she found outside. I popped in to say I’d like to sit outside with my dog and I’d like a tea. I was able to return to my dog and the tea was brought outside to me. Cup and teapot clean with no chips. Green tea was just the right temperature. When I stood up to leave, the waitress appeared to take my money so I didn’t have to leave my dog alone. Excellent service and they were very busy inside too.

Plenty of free parking in a beautiful area. Small cafe but we found seating for 5. Bit close to the door left us chilly but that's my only negative. Staff were absolutely lovely, couldn't fault them. Food was delicious :) great varied menu, would return definitely xx

We had the pleasure of holding my sisters baby shower here yesterday, we had the whole place to ourselves and we were able to decorate it to our liking (although it is already a lovely decorated place as it is) Jane was so accommodating and really lovely, we were able to meet with Jane to discuss food, drinks and dietary requirements. Kelly another brilliant member of staff was so helpful and polite. In fact any member of staff we have come into contact with when going to Lime Tree they have always been very friendly and polite. The food we had was absolutely amazing and feedback from friends and family was that the food was so tasty, fresh, beautifully presented. We opted for afternoon tea which was just the nicest afternoon tea I've had.

Stopped for a lite bite and coffee during our Saturday walk. The cafe is warm, inviting and the staff extremely welcoming. We both had an omelette and latte. Service was quick and the lovely, will definitely visit again ☕️👍

I visited the Lime Tree on a lunch time for a catch up with a friend. This was our first visit as recommended by another friend.

Visited the Lime Tree at lunchtime on Saturday, 3/11/18 and had scrambled egg on wholewheat toast which was absolutely delicious. You'd think scrambled egg is just scrambled egg wouldn't you? Not at The Lime Tree. It was the tastiest I've ever had. We also had a slice each of their Victoria Sponge which was gorgeous. Their cakes are huge, incidentally. The service was extremely friendly and fast, the Lime Tree itself was warm and comfortable and the choice on the menu just right. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful breakfast to start our rare day off. Will definitely be going back to work my way through the Various poached egg options. Would fully recommend for a lovely, laidback start to your day!

Have been here once before for their tapas night. For my first time having tapas, it was a great meal and lovely atmosphere. Today my friend said let’s do brunch. I thought straight away let’s see if that little place was open. Sure enough it was.

Visited today during a busy lunch rush with my partner, but couldn’t be happier to have visited. The cafe was lively and had such a lovely atmosphere, and the kitchen looked like it was sharing the same energy. The front staff were very attentive, and our food was delicious and took hardly no time at all, even with how busy it was! We were overjoyed. I was informed their specials menu had a few new additions, which all sounded so good. We were almost tempted by a cake!..

I went here for the first time with a friend and have to say I was very disappointed. We had to go to the counter to order the food when there were 4 staff standing around talking..when the food did arrive I almost said"is that it"???...we both had the same..jk pot with tuna mayo.no butter...microwaved tiny potato...a small and I do mean small hand full off leaves..half of a slice off cucumber and a quartet of tomato.

I visit this place on Friday 28th with my friend. I always wanted to try this place but never had a chance to. Is a nice small cosy coffee house, with nice decor and really friend vibe but that’s all.. This place is been lacking of hospitality..

I've visited Lime Tree a few times. The service is always friendly and helpful, every meal I've had as been perfect and the atmosphere and surrounding area is wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I went here with a friend for tea and a chat, Tettenhall seems to have quite a few drinking places and I don't think I would go to this one again.I don't think the waitress was very keen on 2 of us taking up a 4 seat table but we stayed where we were. We ordered scones and tea with the food arriving on a slate, whats happened to plates!

Only small, but pleasant environment serving very nicely prepared food/light lunches. Not too large a menu, but 'specials' available always give a very adequate choice.

We are regulars at the lime tree as we enjoy the breakfast and the convenience, but recently we have noticed how unprofessional and perhaps inexperienced the waitresses are. Speaking down to us, very condescending and even unapologetic towards the wait of the food (45 minutes for a breakfast) it seems they don’t know how to handle a busy cafe and a few tables, and clearly don’t understand that they are representing the business. Last time we came my eggs were missing, but we understood where they were after hearing an argument in the kitchen about someone finding the eggs. They were later brought to the table. We still enjoy the lime tree, but it’s a shame that simple things like this can ruin your experience.

We’ve been here many times and food is always freshly prepared, coffee always freshly brewed, cakes always freshly baked. In short, you can’t beat it! A beautiful independent cafe with tasty and varied menu.

I have been a visitor to the Lime Tree for a while now, unfortunately the last few times have seen the service and quality definitely decline. Cut backs on the food portions and the extremely slow service have made me decide to take my custom elsewhere. Shame really!!

We tend to regularly now call into the Lime Tree on a Saturday morning before we start shopping in Tettenhall, and we always get good service and helpful staff even when they are busy.

I regularly visit this cafe and have to say it's such a quaint little cafe. I often take my daughter and the staff are more than happy to provide a high chair and a small children's lunch which i find reasonably priced. My friend recently had her baby shower here and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel more welcome. Really love this cafe...plus the food and cakes are amazing.

My friend and l went for lunch and ordered jacket potatoes and both were luke warm. I like my food hot so although this won’t stop me from re visiting l will stick to sandwiches or cake in future. Lovely staff

Visited for the fine dining experience prepared by two young local guest chef's (17th February 2018), thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and thought it was excellent value for money, finished off by a visit to the table by the two chef's, which I thought was a nice touch and something not done regularly enough in my opinion.

Had breakfast here after being recommended by a friend. The breakfast and service was very good. My only slight criticisms are the plate was not warm and the cafe was not very warm. Most of the customers had their coats on.

Visited with my friend for lunch here on Saturday. My friend has a few food allergies so had to ask a lot of questions about the food she was going to order. The lady who was serving us initially was super helpful with all this and as a result of this we both had a really enjoyable lunch. I had the cheese & onion omelette which was really yummy, the cheese was deliciously gooey inside! My friend had eggs and salmon and enjoyed hers too. We also had cake, the portion sizes here are always HUGE when it comes to the slices of homemade cakes, Its worth sharing! I had the chocolate jaffa cake which was divine! We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and id always come back, What I would say is the lady who served us later on in the afternoon was quite rude, and gave off a real persona of not wanting to be there. If it wasn’t for the good food, Id be steering clear from her temper!

We called in for breakfast on Sunday morning and the place was extremely busy which is always a good sign. We got a table fairly quick, the breakfast was great and staff were very polite. Unfortunately, due to it's popularity we were crowded out by teenagers in the isle who were waiting for tables and I spent half of my breakfast trying to avoid being hit in the head by flailing coats. The staff were apologetic, although it would have been nice if they could have been moved to somewhere more spacious.

I visited this little cafe late morning, on a cold, snowy weekday. We thought it might be quiet - wrong - it was packed (always a good sign mind you)! Despite the hyper-activity, we found a table. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite being rushed off their feet. The place was buzzing, in a good way. We were served within a reasonable time. The food and the coffee were good and prices reasonable. Exactly met our requirements.

Great hot drinks, great service and the cake was excellent. I can certainly recommend the chocolate hazelnut cake. The wife enjoyed the carrot cake too!

We make a 25 minute each way drive to visit this cafe, the cooked breakfast is outstanding and my wife loves the porridge.

I love coming to Lime Tree, they offer the best cakes in Tettenhall. Staff are always friendly, its a real treat to visit. My friend and I love to come for a Brandy Hot Chocolate and a slice of something tasty to eat.

Arrived here midday, to have tea and cake with my mum and brother, we sat down, and a ladies who approached the table, said it was a waited service, and that someone would be with us, it was not particularly busy, and people were leaving after having there food and drink, a girl waitress walked past our table, looked out of the window, made eye contact with me, and walked straight back past our table, i thought that was odd, oh well perhaps she'll return, another 10 minutes pass, taking the waiting time to 15 minutes, so we ordered eventually, i had cream tea with a scone, mum had a victoria sponge, my brother had eggs benedict, all drinks were served in a timely manner, and my mum and brother's food arrived, after another 15-20 minutes i thought to myself where's my scone? So i went to the counter and said they'd forgotten my scone, they eventually brought it out to me, my mum and brother had already finished! The worst part is when they brought the scone out to me, there wasn't even sorry for the delay, or an apology saying they'd honestly forgot, which i would have accepted, but no nothing! We left fuming, something as basic as tea and cake, shouldn't be like this, poor, arrogant service, I'll go to latouske's in finchfield next time, which is practically round the corner from mum's house.......

Although I have been here several times and the food has been good ! I was very disappointed when my friends and I went to the steak night on Sept 13th! All our meals were served cold tgey were replaced but the steak was poor quality and over priced! The Manager was supposed to ring me back but I'm still waiting!!

This was taken over a couple fo years ago and continues to serve really tasty, well presented food. The food comes out hot and the cakes are delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive and always serve with a smile.

Not been in to Lime Tree for nearly 12 months. Called in today straight from the gym so opted for the healthy Sarahs Breakfast. As well as being healthy option it is also a great mix of flavours, salmon poached egg, avocado and spinach. Excellent food and great service. Front of house staff very professional and attentive.

Visited for the first time a few weeks ago and had a beautiful breakfast sandwich, coffee excellent and service very friendly been told they open on a sunday morning next time we visit Tettenhall it will be a must to visit again

Yet again Jane & the guys created a great atmosphere with some amazing tapas. A selection of dishes Vegetarian or meat, the prawns were fabulous followed by some delightful desserts, I chose the Gluten Free Sticky Toffee pudding & it tasted gorgeous would have liked a second portion!! Hats off to the guys who pulled off a great evening, most enjoyable, thank you :)

Intro from a pal, had to book for a month ahead, as the Tapas nights are only every other Friday at present.Missed the next session as fully booked.Fair choice of Tapas dishes.Select any three and that is plenty.Limited wine list, but fair selection.Bottled beers onlyTwo sittings 18.30 and 20.30.If you plumb for second sitting be prepared to wait, if your table has not cleared.This visit lead us to book for a steak night, which is every other Wednesday.Rib eye and Fillets were excellent.Table was about half an hour late, but we sat out and enjoyed a chat and a drink - no problem.Toilet is up some VERY difficult stairs, so not easy for anyone with a disability.Pleasant staff, plenty to eat on mains, could not manage a dessert.Being late finishing was not of our making, but i did detect a bit of coolness from one of the waiters towards the end of our evening. Over all very good value. Would I go again - yes.

Food mediocre. £4.95 for cheese on toast (see pic)Staff just seem to huddle together by the till and yak away. Service could easily be better and faster. High prices = quality service delivery...... not something practiced here.

Nice local tea room with smashing cakes and coffee. It even has a toilet unlike the local competition. Reccomended.

Brilliant evening at lime tree tonight. Every tapas dish was authentic and tasty. The prawns and the sweet potato ang goats cheese we're especially good. Fantastic value at £16 per head. Great setting and friendly and attentive service. You won't be disappointed. We booked for the next event.

We pop in a lot for breakfast but they do other meals and snacks, the staff are always friendly and will help out with any requests were possible. They do steak and tapas nights that I would recommend

We popped in for breakfast - it was very busy and we were told that there was a 30 min delay with food. We didn't mind waiting and I'm so glad we did as our food was amazing! Between the 5 of us we had 1 full English breakfast, 2 Eggs Florentine, 1 sausage sandwich and my own breakfast of scrambled eggg plus mushrooms Each of our breakfast was well presented and just amazing. Will definitely have breakfast here again.
