Had a lovely ploughman lunch to share while on a bike ride. Fab settings and great meal and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Will be back.

4 of us booked a wooden pod to sit in and have lunch it was really nice and the food was nice.

Lovely little coffee shop, to relax after a visit to Compton. Staff very friendly and efficient. Nice comforting atmosphere.

Shame that the bread served with the ploughman's plaster was not up to the previous visit two weeks ago standard, but all the other food was delicious. Late not quite the same either, almost fell we were served flat whites instead. Staff were very friendly and gave an excellent service.

A favourite drop in place, it's fine.., it's a modern coffee shop experience and way more upmarket but ultimately it's far more "charity commercialised" than it used to be , I still miss the Nanna squad that served up the home style food in the more cozy atmosphere of the book nook that it once was. But that's "progress" and Im sure they make more money now.

The coffee machine wasn't working, popped in for a hot chocolate, they said they could only make it with water

Had the lovely gingerbread latte ..and toastie. Staff were warm and friendly.

Great friendly little cafe, had homemade mushroom soup.. delicious! A charity shop nearby too.

This is a very nice place to meet for coffee or lunch, the bakes are always tempting and the menu varies between seasons. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, happy to serve those little "extra" touches. Today it was Karen who looked after us.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. We had toasted teacakes and coffee and it was very nice. Jam was served in a little jar and plenty of butter to go on the teacake.

Had a spot of lunch at this little hidden gem at Compton Hall, which is open to the public. Lovely, friendly staff, who took care with my order as I am gluten free. Sat out in the sunshine on the benches as the grounds are lovely too. With the difficulties any business has suffered through the pandemic, Crumbles are doing their best with their recovery. A local and much loved coffee shop, which is definitely worth a visit.

Popular place as regards you'll never know what you may find. We went to the tea shop first and the staff were so welcoming. Our order was prepared within minutes. Brilliant.

I have used Crumbles since it reopened following lockdown.The staff are always very friendly and the menu is excellent with something for everyone.The bacon sandwich is always top notch! WiFi and outside eating area are great when talking the dogs.

Crumbles is a great place to meet friends for breakfast offer lunch. They do a great gluten-free bacon bap with a soya latte and are incredibly allergy/intolerance aware.There are a variety of soups and paninis for lunch time and a great selection of drinks and cakes, it's well worth a visit. There is also ample seating space outside with a covered heated area and plenty of parking with a nearly new shop on site to browse too.

Food & service were excellent. Also catered for my daughter who is gluten free Very clean & comfortable. Friendly staff & efficient service. Would highly recommend.

I was in the area for work and wanted somewhere nice for lunch. Visited several times since as food is lovely and the cafe is very pleasant and clean.

Cute little coffee shop nestled in the middle of Compton. Nice range of food, especially the cakes (which I was told are all hand made). Nice atmosphere and gorgeous outdoor area. Great little find and perfect coffee stop.

I work near Crumbles so often pop in for a take away lunch. I normally have the katsu chicken curry sandwich which is different but delicious! The last time I went in I decided to go for something vegan and had the vegan meatball and cheese wrap. I genuinely couldn't tell the difference between this and a meat-filled wrap. It was really tasty and I was quite sad when I'd finished it. Crumbles has a good selection of veggie and vegan sandwiches - and the coffee is great for getting you ready for an afternoon full of working!

I visited Crumbles when the weather was not too bad so we sat outside. Very nice little place and very peaceful. Nice coffee and meals and friendly staff. Will certainly return.

This is an ideal place for a drink and snack., you are also supporting Compton Care in the process. The cafe is very clean and tidy, with outside area under cover, with a heater installed for cooler days.The coffee is some of the best I have tasted in a while. A good variety of cakes and scones are available. along with a selection of savoury snacks.

The cafe is beautifully presented and the William Morris features are lovely. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the scones could be a bit fresher though.

Popped in for a coffee, homemade soup and a cob after visiting the charity shop. It has been totally refurbished since my last visit precovid. We sat inside but there is a lovely covered patio area outside which I will try out next time I visit. The soup was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely coffee shop

Came across the recently opened Crumbles Café when visiting family near compton. Well designed with nice bright interior, friendly staff and fresh cakes and coffee. Two well stocked and tidy compton charity stores with large easy access to parking. Well worth a visit.

Very friendly and welcoming. The coffee and cakes are soooo nice! I had a chocolate cake, and it's much better than Costa or Starbucks and much cheaper. If you're close by, drop in and have a great.

I used to love this place but it has been revamped and gone upmarket. No more classic tasty dinners and gooey, stodgy desserts. Now it's wraps, baguettes, soup or cakes. Prices have gone up too. The seating area outside has increased hugely and looks impressive. I would recommend this place for a business lunch or catch up with a friend for an hour. For me sadly it has lost it's friendly character but as all the monies raised are for a very worthwhile charity I hope it does well.

I remember a time when this place was so cheap and was always buzzing with life.. now its had a makeover and costs the earth.. and staff are like soulless robots

First visit to the new Crumbles coffee shop and deli at the Compton Hall.Looks fantastic with all new seating areas outside and new menu.I had a cup of tea and a bacon roll which was delicious.Service was excellent and I decided to take away a couple of cakes which looked fabulous.Will definitely return soon.

Pretentious.....shame there is no facility to make toast ot toast a tea cake? Seems essential in a coffee shop.... Hope they do well.....but they urgently need to get card payment facilities too.....

What can I say... anywhere with more than 10 choices on it's own gluten free menu gets my vote! Takes Covid19 precautions seriously... Lovely place near to recreational railway line so nice to drop by on bike or foot... Friendly courteous staff... Compton Nearly New shop to browse... what's not to like! Jx

If you are having some breakfast, than the big breakfast is a must or go for a spot of lunch. Excellent choice on menu and the staff are really lovely. Nice selection of cakes available. They look after you well and the food is value for money. Go on give it a try!.

I enjoy my visits to this coffee shop, I usually go for breakfast with a friend. I am dairy intolerance and they cater very well for this dietary need. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

A delightful place to idle an hour, or so, away.

Staff lovely food great only problem I found was when I had a pot of tea went to pour it and it didn't just go in my cup it was all over the saucer and the table. On saying that it was a lovely cup of tea. And I would go back anytime I am that way.

Worst sausage sandwich ever had not as good as last people that ran it really disappointed

Very uncomfortable now unnecessary changes have been made. Also no menu you just have to read a blackboard. Price have rose above inflation.

A revisit on Wednesday showed improvement over my last visit some months ago. There are two boards to show the food, and the poorly designed menu seems to have gone. The friendly welcome and excellent service is still in place and the café now caters for snacks, brunch, and small and medium breakfasts with the usual tea, coffee and fruit drinks. Clientele has certainly grown despite the deplorably poor entrance. Compton Care marketing team should address this issue as well as to make outside dining far more appealing.

For over a year I have awaited the opening of this café at Compton Care.I visited on a Wednesday lunchtime and was immediately struck as to how little marketing had gone into the place as there was no welcoming entrance or posters and the large banner advertising its opening was in the wrong place.On entering I noticed that the renovation had been done well and the three separate rooms were finely finished and furnished; one with its own wood burner. It will be a haven of peace and rest during winter. However the designer that chose battleship grey for the one room needs sacking, as brighter colours are needed since there is little natural light.Two ladies were in attendance and provided a friendly greeting and service. There was only one other customer who was finishing off a panini that he said was very good.I chose the warm cheese and broccoli quiche with a fine fresh salad.and followed this with a hot apple pie and custard which altogether cost just under £8. The printed menu covers a nice selection of cafe favourites meals and drinks but is not designed for the winter season as the one soup is at the end of the menu while prices are under £5 for a mains. With the amount of traffic to the shop and patient visitors this could be a little goldmine but Compton management and marketing need to get serious about the café and make it self sustainable and with a larger kitchen. They have advertised for a manager and assistant but as with the 3rd sector they have not tried to think outside the box and are paying an hourly rate for recognised tasks, but without any incentives, so they will not attract people who can really deliver.I will be going back to see how they fare.
