Booked for lunch today, requested a booth which is what we got in a relatively quiet area to start with. The menu's could have done with a good wipe as mine was covered with dirty marks inside and out. Our server Tonii was lovely and friendly. Vety polite throughout couldn't fault her. The food itself took a while to arrive, but given they were busy that wasn't a surprise. My meal had chilled off a little but I enjoyed it nonetheless. My husband enjoyed his mixed grill, my mum, son, snd daughter enjoyed their meals as well, although my son ended up leaving some of his burger as we forgot to leave off the burger sauce (and there was plenty of it on the burger) All I'm all the dog was clean and tidy, and the toilets were clean & in a good state of repair. I'd be happy to return.

Only getting 2 stars as the breakfast was the only good thing. We had the buffet at night but paying £68.10 not including drinks for 2 adults and a 5 year old is extortionate. The food was only luke warm and the chicken my husband had was still pink.

Good job this pub has finally, went with friends a week before it closed and could not believe the attitude of the old lady behind the bar, she was rude and abrupt to the couple before me as she charged £3 for a glass of water with a dash if blackcurrant, poured me a pint of Guinness in a Carling glass which of course was unacceptable, I said i am not having in that, luckily their was a guy behind the bar who fetched s glass from from the back which was obviously much better, she does not have any customer knowledge how on how treat people and to be honest is hopeless behind the bar, thank god the wacky the GK and her has gone .

Came here for lunch and soft play on a rainy day and honestly wish we would fo stayed at home! Cafe is horrendous, no menus for the kids lunch boxes, the lady I asked behind the counter was really rude and did not want to help, told us it was on the menu (which I already checked but thought I was wrong) there was no menu so went back to tell her and she was so rude just shouted oh it's 5 items. We then had the hot turkey bap, partner had beef. Had to queue for this, the butter was not spread on the bap properly, the ball of stuffing was like a little rock, ordered chips that were stone cold by the time we ate. Had to carry all this on a tray with no offer of help. Cafe was dirty, chairs were sticky. Cost £40, I don't even think it was worth £20. The kids sandwiches were on stale bread. Then soft play was filthy. Will never return there, even the shop was half empty. I am very surprised they have returning customers. My advice is don't waste your time or money here.

The food and drink was good, but our time in there was completely spoiled by a handful of extremely loud customers. We sat as far away from them as possible, but had to keep stopping our conversation as we couldn't hear each other speak. We made our point to the person clearing our table, who said she would speak to the manager. However, I am of the view that, as long as people keep spending money, nothing will be done to make it a better experience for the majority of people who simply want to eat and drink in a pleasant atmosphere.

Wanted Sausage Roll and Tuna sandwich and told to order and pay at till. There was 1 woman serving a gentleman already so stood to the side of him to wait. Then another woman joined queue to my left, then another. Before the gentleman was finished a second member of staff went to the other till (directly in front of 2 women to my left) and said 'next'. I pointed out that I was next and she motioned for me to move in front of her, which I couldn't. She then said (abrubtly) if I didn't want to order/pay then she would serve someone else. If I had been on my own I would have walked out but I was with an 87 year old relative and my mobility isn't great either. The food was appalling!!! Sausage roll was luke warm / cold in middle and grossly overpriced at £6.95. Tuna in sandwich I think had come straight out of tin with no seasoning or mayo and cost £9.95. The place (don't want to call it a restaurant) was very busy and chaotic. I'm surprised that with so many bad reviews for so many years things haven't improved. Needless to say will not return. 😟

Poor hygiene, we had to find cleaning items ourselves to clean the table as there was chocolate smeared all over the table. Clearly not being wiped down. Not ideal with a child with us. Food was standard and the chips tasted off. The oil needs changing. We ordered 2 bacon and Brie ciabattas and a children’s sandwich box and it came to over £40. Not worth this at all. We have not been in a while and previously we were sat down by a staff member. It’s now like a free for all.

Firstly very disappointed that no Christmas carvery was available this year - which was actually the reason we chose to go here. To be fair the Christmas Pie and Sausage and Mash were lovely, but was disappointed with the decorations, the front of the cafe makes it look as if it is closed. Something needs to be done about the welcoming atmosphere of the cafe and although the member of staff who served us, a young gentleman, was very pleasant, other members of the cafe staff looked unhappy and overworked. There was no hot food on display and it all looked a bit like it was about to close down. Today - couldn't fault the food although very pricey. I hope this cafe becomes more welcoming and inviting as it could be a lovely place to eat.
