Minimum queues. Jon Richards jewellery, attractive and unique. Approachable staff. Clean and tidy. In general better prices online.

Cafe was fairly quiet but soon got busy for a Saturday morning. Ordering was slow and so was the service. Food when arrived was cold and tasteless. Mushrooms were freezing. Tried to speak to someone but they were too busy to acknowledge me. The cafe was dirty too; floor, seats and tables. I would say as it was early, this dirt was from the day prior not from that day.

Cold food sausages left on hot plate too long giving a hard dry edge service ok at best mushrooms moist but tasted like stood in cold water not cheap breakfast expected better

we went in today as a party of 4 we ordered our meals and one of the party had a toasty we went for fish and chips and a cottage pie we waited nearly an hour for our food other people came in but they got there meals before we i had to ask a man who gave some customer there meals he said he would find out were they were we had an appointment so when it came we had to rush hot food down the cottage pie had not a lot of potatoes on and was disappointing over all was not satisfied with with the restaurant

Went there for breakfast. Large line of people all waiting. Over 20 minutes. Can't read the menu it's too far away. Staff running about trying to do their best but very understaffed When we got the food it was good. Not sure about using a cup for milk for the rea but maybe no jugs On the way out of the store I saw the general manerger made clear my observations He said he would go and see what he could do. I pointed out that if he wondered why Debenhams is in trouble just go and look for yourself. Nice place to sit, and meet friends but only go if you have 20 minutes free to stand to get your drinks.

Nothing wrong with the restaurant itself. Its just the long wait to be served. If your in hurry don't bother going there. Poor staff intergration .

After waiting 25 minutes for 3 breakfasts and watching breakfasts coming out for peole who ordered after us my wife asked the manager how much longer they would be , they had lost the order , when my wife explaied I had taken my insulin she could’nt have have cared less just said well they are cooing it now , needless to say we walked out with a refund . This is the second tie this has happened needless to say this is one place on the struggling high streetI will not be supporting .

Having lunch with Tony and Dave. Had a wonderful time. Also been shopping. We will definitely be back.

Wanted a quick bite & Debenhams 20% discount with gold card is good value. Speedy service & it was peak time12.30. Ample portion hot & tasty. Very clean & best of all Frank our server was so helpful & efficient with a huge smile. Friendly service makes for such a nice experience well done Frank.

What on earth do you make your scambled eggs from? 4 breakfasts and they were all terrible, 3 sloppy and the 4th like powder. Bacon like leather. Toast was ok but who cant do toast?? When you ask about the bacon and eggs all you get was thats all we got..lady clearing tables was nice, and very apologetic.

I visited debenhams cafe today for a quick coffee break, the queue was big and there were two staff on the tills who couldnt of worked any slower. I carried on waiting hoping it wouldnt be too much longer but my god one of the ladies was too busy having a chat with another member of the store and the other lady just looked like she didnt want to be there and was working just as slow. For debenhams you kind of expect abit more but today was a let down for me. I ended up walking out because i would of been served quicker in greggs. I will not visit here again as the staff cant handle serving customers at a fast pace.

Visité aquí para el almuerzo. Tuve que hacer cola durante bastante tiempo para hacer nuestro pedido. No muy impresionado con la comida, mi prima pidió un pastel de casa que envió de regreso tan pronto como llegó porque la parte superior estaba negra, fue reemplazada muy rápidamente. El personal fue muy agradable y servicial.

They sold us food that was not in stock then tried to avoid giving us our money back when we asked for a refund so we could eat somewhere else. They even tried to boss around to put items away for them. Very rude zero idea of customer service.

Visito aquí todas las semanas para tomar un café y generalmente un pastel. Hoy llegué para encontrar al asistente charlando con un cliente sentado en una mesa cerca de la caja registradora. Ella no me vio o eligió ignorarme. Estaba claro que su mente no estaba en el trabajo ya que solo notó mi pastel en el último segundo. Mi baja calificación se basa únicamente en esta visita y continuaré viniendo con la esperanza de que esto sea único.

Tuve un café con leche y una rebanada de café y nuez amigo amigo tenía café con leche y pastel de hornear bandeja de limón. El personal es amable y servicial, el precio no es malo para pasteles realmente agradable, también traje una rebanada de pastel de caramelo para llevar a casa. área de comida limpia y ordenada, baños limpios.

Arreglado para encontrarme con un viejo amigo aquí para el almuerzo hoy. El restaurante está situado en el último piso escondido en la esquina. La decoración es luminosa y brillante y está alejada del ajetreo y el bullicio, por lo que es un gran lugar para reunirse. Pedimos 2 x chaquetas de papa. Uno con jamón y el otro con un relleno de atún servido con una pequeña ensalada. Le dan un timbre para avisarle cuando la comida está lista para que pueda sentarse y relajarse. Ambos disfrutamos mucho las patatas de la chaqueta y diría que eran realmente sabrosas. Sirven un buen café y té en una olla! Yo diría que la comida es de excelente valor y bien preparada. Si es titular de una tarjeta Debenhams, también obtendrá un descuento. En resumen, es un buen lugar para comer donde puedes conversar y disfrutar de un aperitivo, un pastel y una bebida. El personal también es muy agradable y el lugar es limpio y luminoso. Así que prueba esto como una alternativa, ya que regularmente voy aquí cuando me encuentro con alguien para almorzar. Menú limitado pero buena relación calidad-precio. Bien hecho Debenhams. Lo siento, olvidé tomar una foto ya que estaba demasiado ocupado disfrutando de la comida.

I’ve just stood in a queue for 11 minutes and 55 seconds waiting for a coffee. I asked for the manager but was told that he/she was not around: says it all!

I wish I have discovered this cafe sooner. the food is cooked to order and is delicious. And the prices are reasonable. The staff were really friendly and looked happy. Full marks from me.

Este fue nuestro primer ejemplo del restaurante Birmingham Debenham y nos sorprendió gratamente la frescura de la comida. Sin embargo, con solo dos puntos de servicio, sentimos que tuvimos que esperar más de lo que esperábamos. Nuestros sándwiches eran muy sabrosos, pero ¿por qué en estos momentos de conciencia sobre la reducción de la basura plástica, por qué había un soporte de plástico en el envase de cada sándwich?

Asked for a orange tango and got orange sherbet I’m sorry but are you serious and the Diet Pepsi tasted like it was left in the sun for a month not impressed at all should hang your head in shame for the lies! Plus the dirty cutlery, cups and tables

For the first time I had a main course in Debenhams Birmingham and wandered why I had not bothered before. The Cod was beautifully cooked and the chips plentiful and delicious, the service was excellent and great value for money at £7.50. Ample peas, with bread and butter as well. I don't know how I found room for the dessert.

A while I a go this was one of my favourite places I could come to have a decent coffee and cake. The view from this end of town takes in china town and the two towers. As I was flagging during a walk to town I stopped and had food and coffee. They have made more seats, but it’s still very busy and hugely popular.

Friends meet once a month in Birmingham for a cooked breakfast and a catch up. We have tried different restaurants and the one in Debenhams is one of the better ones for a Saturday breakfast. It's a little more expensive than some others we have tried but you can't fault the food quality. There are various options in terms of size and you can choose exactly which items you want. Service has always been good so we will continue to enjoy breakfast here in future.

Popped in for a scone after the personal shopper I'd just had an appointment recommended them. She wasn't wrong. Scone was tasty and came with more than enough jam and cream to top it. Price was a little higher than needed to be, but that's to be expected in Debenhams.

Visit here every week for coffee and sometimes cake. Service top class with a tempting range of cakes. This week however there was music playing with a monotonous thumping drum beat. This is the first time I've noticed this and it I can't think it's really necessary as most people seem to come here for a chat. This is the only thing that stopped me giving it 5 stars.

Had a breakfast 1 with 4 item the other with 6,all was cold,bacon looked like rubber sausages half cooked fried egg looked more like scrambled,if I were you I would pay a little more and John Lewis it.

Had breakfast here, we both had mochas and a breakfast sandwich with 3 items, we had egg, sausage and bacon. Sandwich was alright, egg a bit over cooked. Pretty mediocre all round. Reasonable price.

Visité este restaurante el domingo por la tarde para almorzar y pagar mi primera y definitivamente la última visita al Bull Ring. Habiendo caminado durante unas horas, decidimos ir a Debenhams para una comida, ya que no nos gustaban las hamburguesas estándar, pizzas, etc. que se ofrecen en varios puntos de venta. Qué error haber ordenado pastel de carne y cerveza que supuestamente se servía con patatas y verduras. Cuando llegó a nuestra mesa no se veía nada apetecible. Las papas consistían en 4 papas asadas pequeñas y las verduras eran unas pocas arvejas. El pastel estaba tibio y la CARNE adentro era masticable y grasosa, que a las 7. 50 fue una estafa total. Lo llevé de vuelta al mostrador y le dije que no lo quería, así que pedí un pastel de vegetales en su lugar. La comida de reemplazo estaba muy caliente, pero aún se servía con las mismas verduras y papas. En el lado positivo, la salsa era muy agradable y el personal era muy bueno y se disculpó. Si Debenhams desea aumentar su base de clientes y las ventas de alimentos en el restaurante, sugiero que lo primero que deben revisar es el menú y los precios.

El servicio fue muy acogedor, personas felices sonrientes que lo saludan tomando su pedido y llevando comida a la mesa crea una escena agradable. Este es un entorno espacioso y cómodo adecuado para familias también.

Had lunch here, consisting of toasted sandwiches and cups of tea. Lovely restful atmosphere in midst of busy shopping area.

A friend and i had been walking around all morning and just happened to be near here, so we thought we would pop in for a quick drink.

I thought I would treat myself to breakfast while shopping. Big mistake! Quality was poor and portion was tiny. Nice toast and excellent coffee saved the day. Very expensive for what I was served.

Popped in with two friends for lunch before going to the theatre for a matinée performance. Very slow moving queue despite there being quite a few staff behind the counter. Cakes were placed at the entrance, presumably to tempt you whilst you were waiting to be called up to the counter. Dismal display of sandwiches. I had prawns in white bread (no brown available!) which were tasteless and the bread was old and tired. Cold drinks were not particularly chilled. Not an experience I would want to repeat.

Called in midweek for lunch, chose jacket spud and a filling, which was a little small and no salad. However, it was lovely. The restaurant was spotless, with the tables cleared continually. A smashing view over the city from the table.

Staff were friendly and helpful - everyone has big smiles and were helpful with questions that I had about certain shops in the Bullring, even getting phones out with maps to help us.

Bebidas agradables aperitivos agradable pero un poco caro y la selección necesita mejorar. Debe haber una amplia selección de sandwich incluyendo sin gluten. Más envolturas y baja grasa sabrosa disponible selecciones no sólo para comer. Mantener a la gente en movimiento y dando vueltas por la tienda, aunque es agradable ir de compras hasta cansarse y usted sólo quiere dejarse caer sus maletas con seguridad y refrescarse antes del largo viaje de regreso a casa ;-)).

We ate in here sat afternoon, we had a spot of lunch. Been a sat it was rammed in the restaurant but the lady manageress kept the queue flowing with ease.

I had a jacket potato with cheese and had to ask for more cheese as it was almost non existent. The potato itself was not great but they never are from cafe type establishments where they are precooked and kept warm,

Llamar a Debenhams para el desayuno cuando en una plaza de toros en un viaje de compras es una cosa habitual para mí y mi hija.

Llamado por casualidad y tenía una visita relajante. El personal era amable y el desayuno era justo lo que necesitábamos. Teníamos unas vistas preciosas de los taxis en la calle de cola que mantenía mi nieto de 2 años entretenidos todo el tiempo. La camarera me llevaron mi bandeja sin preguntar (me estaba proponiendo un carrito así que habría sido difícil) recomiendo este oasis de tranquilidad a los compradores que desean un descanso acosadas!

Tenía un capuchino muy bonita y baguette aquí el sábado por la mañana. Lo encontré muy relajante, para ser justos, y me sorprendió gratamente. Personal muy agradable para ver si todo estaba bien. Estuvimos más de una hora me fresquito!

Two of us had the full breakfast with 1 cappuccino and 1 latte, excellent value for money. Staff really nice, food freshly made. Restaurant pleasant place to eat in. Would highly recommend.

Having not been able to find a decent place to have an english breakfast in the Grand Central we headed to Debenhams. The food was easy to order and tasty to eat. The staff were cheery and full of festive spirit and all in all very helpful with me and my electric wheelchair.Well done Debenhams we'll definitely be back and would recommend you to all our friends

Visited on a very busy Friday lunch having been entrusted our 2 year old grandson for the day. The restaurant is light and airy and there were plenty of tables available when we arrived at 12.15 but by the time we left had all but filled up. We noticed a "children's buffet bar" were you could select 5 items for a fixed price. This included healthy eating options . Hot food orders taken and hot drinks provided at the till we found a table, plenty supply of high chairs and space to park the buggy we did not have to wait long before our hot food orders arrived at our table served piping hot and of good quality and quantity.For a large department store restaurant we found our experience to have been a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly and attentive and would certainly return.

I meet friends here on a weekly basis for a coffee and a chat. It is usually a very pleasant experience. However,I arrived on "Black Friday" to be told no hot drinks were available and the toilets were out of use. I left in disgust. Surely the restaurant shouldn't have been allowed to open in such circumstances.

We were just looking for a quick eat to get away from a very busy bull ring center and so we were not looking for anything flash. As we walked in to the Debenhams Restaurant we were welcomed by a very polite girl server who took our order straight away. We ordered a Seconal pie and a cottage pie plus some drinks. as we sat at a window seat with a very relaxed atmosphere and an amazing view, the food arrived and it was very very hearty plus tasted truly scrumptious. we were surprised at how fresh and flavorsome our meal was we had always though that kind of place to be a quick food joint. It is a must visit for good priced great food and welcoming service.

This was our third visit to the restaurant this year, whilst on a visit to Birmingham. The breakfast menu has changed from our last visit from the (choose a number of items) to set breakfasts, which we prefer. The staff were welcoming and pleasant and we chose the large breakfast. Service was fast and attentive. The breakfast was well cooked, hot and tasty. The dining area is spacious and very clean which enhanced the experience. The pricing is very reasonable (under £13 for two breakfasts and two pots of tea). We will certainly be using the facility on our next visit to Birmingham.

Just polished off 2 large breakfasts with scrambled eggs . What a way to start the day . Swift attentive service reasonably priced

Visited today for lunch with husband and 17 month old. Ordered the cottage pie meal, jacket potato with chilli and kids fish finger and chips meal. The order took around 40 minutes to arrive at the table which is completely unacceptable. A pleasant member of staff did apologise after a 30 minute wait to say the cottage pies were taking 'longer that's normal'!Luckily our toddler sat quietly occupied but no offer was made to deliver her meal earlier. When the food finally arrived the cottage pie was extremely poor. The potato tasted like it had been undercooked before mashing and was then extremely stodgy. Husbands chilli was extremely spicy but edible and the kids meal of 2 and a half fish fingers, 10 chips and a load of peas I didn't think was at all acceptable for the price of £3.95. No offer was made to rectify the extremely long wait for food either. All in all we shall not be returning for another meal at a Debenhams restaurant!

Nice coffee shop but we waited ages to be served. There were lots of people turning away when they saw the length of the queues to get served. Its nice when you got your order though.

Call in for a breakfast this morning with my wife but wish we had not! I ordered a Big Breakfast which cost me a pound extra than the normal £4.25.All I got for that pound extra was an extra so call piece of bacon and a small sausage! The mushroom never arrived which did not help. The toast was Brown as nothing else even that did not help the RUBBER egg which looked like it had been cooked the day before! Come on guys what is going on in Birmingham you have all the weekend trade but will loose it if this is not improved. Let's see how this received on TripAdvisor....?

This resturant had a face lift and accommodate all the staff are friendly and welcoming the afternoon tea is fantastic good place to have lunch cup tea/coffee have chat with friends family or just chill out relaxing after shopping to just rest up. Recommended for young and the growing young people I ejoy the peace and friendness of the place love going there.

Came here for a snack lunch with my two daughters and found the restaurant clean and quite quiet compared to the rest of town! The food was tasty and not overpriced.. The toilets were right by the restaurant and were very clean... I would definately come here again

Had chicken curry jacket potato husband had to have a burger as they ran out of two of the healthy mains! They advertised a roast dinner which we wanted as trying to loose weight. After waiting in the queue we found out they had run out and also our second choice of shepherds pie. Adequate is the best I can say about this.

Expected better of Debenhams! Visited today with granddaughter. I ordered afternoon tea with scone as advertised. Assistant said "just butter on your scone? " no jam and clotted cream. Cream was frozen solid. Returned it, another assistant apologised but explained they are all frozen. Asked her to pop it in microwave. By the time I sat to eat it my tea was cold! Tables not cleared and cleaned, plenty of staff on. Granddaughter's panini was fine. Visited the toilets adjacent to restaurant they were disgusting! Dirty and no locks on some of the doors. Needless to say will not be returning there. Debenhams get your act together !

We went in as they were advertising a roast dinner and we wanted something to eat while shopping. The fact that there were lots of free tables but they were dirty and we had to ask a member of staff to clean one for us should have been a warning sign.We ordered the advertised roast dinner to be told it had sold out.Two of us ordered burgers which were OK. One of the group ordered fish and chips and the other two ordered pizza.The fish and chips came and looked over cooked, after reading other reviews the batter could have been that dark because the oil needed changing.The pizzas were under cooked and very unappetising.We wanted to complain but the staff had disappeared to close up the far half of the restaurant, although it was the middle of the day.I complained to Debenhams via their website.Someone from the shop did call me. They said they had only cooked one joint of meat for the whole day, that is why the roast dinner was sold out. They also said that next time we used the restaurant I was to ask for the Manager and they would ensure I got reasonable service and an adequately cooked meal. Why would I visit again and why do I need to ask for the manager to get what I thought would be the norm for a restaurant?I will stick to John Lewis in future.

Every year me and my Husband go to Birmingham for a weekend break to visit the Christmas markets and shop. We stay in the travel lodge but go out early, go for breakfast and hit the shops on the Saturday. We went to Debenhams this time. Although busy, we ordered fairly quickly and I was allowed to have an alternative to egg. The breakfast price wasnt cheap but ok but didnt include a drink. I was given a gadget that flashes when our order is ready. However, whilst we were waiting a waitress came and took it. I went to the till and asked how we would get our meal and she said that they had noted the numbers down? Our breakfasts did come - without toast- and after waiting had to go and ask for it. The bacon was very fatty, the sausage hard. Overall the meal was not a good standard, the service poor and the price high. I will be staying in the travelodge in future and having an all you can eat for the same price. AND hot drinks are free to residents!

Went as a couple for a quick drink and piece of cake and an afternoon snack.Not too much of a queue and the restaurant was pretty empty. Staff were pretty lazy when asked for some cutlery (area next to till had run out) was told to look at the other end of the restaurant for some. As they were so quiet and they seemed to already know they were out of crockery there would it have been so hard to get some more?Anyway food was nice, nothing special. Scones were good with a nice crunch.

We had gone there for a late lunch looking for sandwiches and snacks. Asked for gluten free food, the lady pointed to a strawberry tartlet which clearly was not. Then she went to look up in the guideline on display which is a waste of time. The only gf item was a mince pie. Now that was quite delicious but no gf sandwiches/rolls.

Saturday afternoon being tired after Christmas shopping decided to stop for a cuppa after making our way to the fourth floor we found a very long queue. This is because we were in the restaurant there is no longer a restaurant and a cafe. When I eventually got to the front of the queue the staff were very friendly and still managed to smile at everyone the tea was also very good but I don't think I will return there are lots of cafés in the bullring with much quicker service

we ordered food but it was dripping with oil & the chips which was fried i supposed it was not changed for ages & was tasting as if they use same fryer for veg and nonveg. sorry but i wont visit back again.

We have visited here a couple of times now for the Sunday roast. Both times we have received excellent customer service. The crockery and cutlery is clean, the tables also, the staff keep on top of clearing and are aware of their customers. Neither time we have been has been exceptionally busy. The roast dinners were good, our first a little late in the day and unfortunately the stuffing was rather, ummmm, solid and the Yorkshire pudding kinda tough. But the meat and veg with roast potatoes and mash were all scrummy. Going the second time a little earlier and everything was spot on, with me working in the city center on Sundays this is likely to become a regular haunt for us.

I love Debenhams normally and headed straight there for bfast on a recent trip to Birmingham but I am afraid The Bull Ring Debs was a let down. Very salty scrambled egg, cold plates, very poor coffee. Undrinkable on the whole. Such a shame as it could be so good and has a great position overlooking the city.

Siamo passati il giorno prima per chiedere un caffè e ce l'hanno offerto loro. Il giorno dopo siamo andati a pranzo. Ottimo primo ai frutti di mare ed ottima pizza ......a Birmingham oltre ad un ottima e simpatica accoglienza. Come un buon ristorante a casa nostra.

Typical eatery in a shopping centre. Too few staff as it was a busy lunchtime, but staff were apologetic.I had a tuna salad roll, pre done. I was asked if I wanted extra salad and coleslaw. The salad was plentiful and fresh, which was unexpected. A bigger plate would have helped but unfortunately the roll was ever so slightly crispy from being made much too early.All in all for a price of £3.50 it was excellent value but needed to be fresher with more staff.

I visited the restaurant at lunch time on Thursday 19th February and have to commend the service offered by the senior member of staff on duty. My thanks to him for his help, efficiency and friendly manner.

Great place to re-energise whilst shopping, particularly during Christmas. Often busy at peak times and you may struggle to find a table. During these times staff noticeably struggle to clear the tables quickly freeing them up for new customers. Located in the centre of the Bullring shopping centre it is easily found and offers a no fuss, broad range of hot and cold meals. Nothing fancy but fair prices.

This is your standard department store cafe. It does hot drinks, light lunches and cakes. There is another cafe on the ground floor which seems to have a better selection but unfortunately we didn't see this until we left this cafe. The only thing about this cafe that sets it apart is the view as its high up and gives you a decent view of the city (if there can ever be a decent one). I wouldn't bother again

Popped in here for lunch after Christmas shopping. Found the staff really cheerful and friendly and a good choice of hot/cold snacks and sandwiches. We both went for the Xmas soup which was absolutely delicious, really tasty and just what was needed in the cold weather.

I went to debenhams cafe and four times I had to wait for fish and chips which I think is very appalling comming from a well known brand like debenhams.The time was lunch time so I had to wonder around to kill time and it was making me angry having to bloody wait so long for fish and chips.Never again will I come to this restaurant to eat in.

It is a self service restaurant on the first floor entrance into Debenhams . It has a spread of delicious hot meals & snacks, sandwishes, salads and beverages. Behind the service counter, a new lady staff did not know how to serve our order, but her colleage cheerfully guide her through, truly happy to see great teamwork in their working environment. Very relaxing atmosphere with helpful & friendly staff on duty. We had mineral water & smoothie for drinks. For food , Battered Cod chips was tasty & crispy .Pork Calvary was succulent & juicy. Highly recommended !!!

I came with a friend and we had to wait for sausages which was no problem except we were waiting at the counter but the cook/kitchen staff said it might take 5 or 10 mins so we sat down. After waiting about 10 mins we realised the food was ready and had been put out but nobody could be bothered to tell us. Toast was cold and hard. It's a little dated considering other places to eat in the city centre. I would never consider going for anything other than breakfast.

Years ago when there was very few eating out places for the ordinary shopper this would have been ideal. but times have changed in the area of food and the ordinary person expects that little bit more, not badly cooked pork or turkey. sometimes you cant tell the difference because it looks and tastes the same. Also why is the place always full of dirty plates with only one person clearing tables?The puddings look nice but the hot food looks suspect having having been lying around for so long. However, all was not lost because I managed to make my own meal with a bowl of chips which were very tasty and a delicious side salad with onion and tomatoes. Chips £1 and side salad £1.49, Great value

You have to fetch your food and queue to pay and then carry it to a table the least the staff could do is clear and clean the tables very disappointing

Very dark and very, very dirty with remnants of food all over the floors and drink and food stained tables and chairs. Surly staff with no customer service training whatsoever and if your not out dead on the dot of closing, they close the shutters on you! Only popped in for a quick coffee before getting the train home and wish I'd gone back to House of Fraser Café Zest where the coffee, food, staff and over all ambiance was so much better.

Whatever's happened to Sunday lunch at Debenhams? It used to taste so delicious but lately it's just thrown together in the hope that it will sell. Is it a case of can't cook or won't cook?The roast pork was just full of fat and needed to be cooked for longer and the turkey was tasteless and the stuffing today wasn't even mixed together properly. You could still see the little dry bits. The 'frozen' potatoes and veg looked so unappetising. and were equally tasteless. It's a shame because these days in view of all the cooking programmes we see, people expect a little bit better than this. Also why not let people help themselves to the vegetables. All that faffin about with spoons and ladles to serve up tasteless peas is just not worth the effort.
