Bushwackers in Birmingham

Ive made many attempts to go to this place but have been turned down on many occasions. Staff seem to let females attend without any issues and always when it comes to other ethnicity always get turned away. I guess it comes to say I've given up on Evan trying to attempt this place. Security always are cocky and with very bad attitude. Things like this people won't want to attempt to evan attend this establishment weather they are sober or drunk. And I'd like many other know that if youre a none Caucasian ethnicity leave it don't evan bother save your money and try anywere else then getting treated unfairly

I had a shocking and disappointing experience at this club. The security manager, who openly stated he was Turkish, told me, “I won’t let you in because I don’t like your nationality.” He identified my nationality from my ID card and used it as the sole reason to deny me entry. This is a blatant act of racism, which is both unacceptable and illegal in this country. I want to make it clear that I will not let this matter go. I recorded the incident on video and will be pursuing legal action with my lawyer. Discrimination of this kind should never go unaddressed, and I strongly advise others to avoid supporting this place until they take responsibility and make changes.

We visited on 14th December for the OJE night! Alex, one of the dj’s playing on the night deserves a massive thank you and well done! He went above and beyond from the minute we arrived, he is polite kind and professional. His set was outstanding he kept the entire crowd engaged and vibing. His constant smile, positive energy, and incredible vibes made the night unforgettable. Alex is a brilliant DJ and a true gentleman! We will most definitely be returning to support him when he nexts plays Bushwackers. Staff were attentive and the venue is beautiful all in all a great night out!

Awful place with sleezy predator bouncers. Tried reaching out to tell them what happened and had no response.

Came here for an over 30s night we seen advertised on tik tok. Event was 2-8pm we got there at 3:30 and left before 5. The music was awful, the place was absolutely packed, the drinks were overpriced (£7.50 for a vodka and lemonade) definitely was not what we were expecting, which was old school dance music (better off alone, till I come etc) didn't recognise a single song...if they played more than one that is as it all sounded the same.

Don't like the new layout and it's very weird having the DJ inside, no vibe or atmosphere 😕 no one really dancing

Would give less if I could. Wouldn’t let me in due to the ‘bubble’ in my trainer. After a few complaints asking why I a trainer banned me from entering I was met with physical abuse from the bouncer/manager whoever this nobody is. He gave me a punch to the stomach. All the other bouncers just standing around like a bunch of muppets waiting for their pay check

Come here to celebrate my friend birthday, good vibe, friendly bartender, but very pricey.

Should've checked reviews before coming. I was initially told I could come in, £15 entry. I fetched my asian friend from round the corner and, upon return, was suddenly told the doors were closed. Not 5 minutes later, a queue formed and some people were being let in whilst others were being turned away. It was very apparent that skin colour was a key factor in the bouncer's assessment of whether people should be let in. Unsurprised to see that others have experienced the same issues with racism on the door. How this guy is still in a job I've no idea.

if i could rate this a 0 stars i would. i wrote up a complaint email no response, and a DM got blocked. On 11/11/2023, I presented my disability pass to the bouncer at the entrance, explaining my need to avoid prolonged standing due to a medical condition. Regrettably, I was met with an insensitive comment questioning the legitimacy of my presence, to which the bouncer remarked, "if you have a disability, why are you out?" I believe that the bouncers name was ‘T’ but not entirely sure that’s his real name as I asked one of your other bouncers. Such remarks are not only offensive but also reflect a lack of understanding and empathy towards individuals with disabilities. I believe in fostering an inclusive environment that respects the dignity of all patrons, and this incident has left me deeply disappointed.

Been using here for years cause its the only decent club around open until late and the staff are great from door staff to the bar staff but since moving the djs inside its really changed the atmosphere and vibe shame as the terrace was the best hopefully it will come back soon.

Turned down because we're males not with women. Bouncers then try take cash back hands to get you in like your desperate. After years of going here never had it before. Don't bother.

The coat lady tried to steal my jacket telling me the ticket she gave me wasn't a ticket they gave me when I told her no way you your self gave me this she took it off me screwed it up and threw it onto a big pile of tickets on the floor and tried to say what ticket after lots of arguing all of a sudden my jacket turned up and the woman is saying no hard feelings

Nice place indeed, security guys very welcoming, just like the bar staff, Big thanks to the djs, Jesus and grey hair turkish Security man, always profesinals. Thats we are always coming back !

Strange post night out venue but kind of funny too. Great outdoors area with music. If you get there after 3am they may only let couples in though as can be too many men inside

Worst atmosphere in all Birmingham.

After being away from bushwackers night club for some years it was a pleasure to return to a night of garage house and wonderful dj's. 1PM start! Ladies were in free for the first hour. Wicked atmosphere. Please dress to impress meet new friends and dance the night away!

Real racist security place. Telling you that the club is full but letting people in right in front of you.

Outside is alright. But didn't get in, as we reach there last entry time.

Terrible door staff, as I’ve now read other reviews I am not surprised. The doorman was really rude I was with a group of friends and me and my boyfriend were at the back of our group he let the rest of the group in after looking at our IDs, he would just Chuck them back into our bags and then my boyfriend who was the last in line he was searching him for ages unnecessarily, looking for something to pick on then he decided he couldn’t get in because of his top ( which no where in any policy online does it state his top was inappropriate). The remainder of the group that went in told us that they were envious of us going home because the taxi ride home would have been better than that excuse for a club with bad music and overpriced drinks.

Used to be one of my favourite places however was very disappointed in being refused entry on the basis of gender discrimination by the door staff, it's such a shame company's choose to use policy like this in this day and age, it's clearly not acceptable on any level as we were told couples only because we were both male..***update*** it's actually getting worse

Tried this place again after 7 years nothing has changed much, from entry fee to drinks, really not worth it. 😕 place could Do with a lick of paint, atmosphere not really all that chilling so one can just drink chat and dance loosing your self and just having fun

Went with a group they only let the girls in, charged them £28 and made it really difficult for them to leave when they realised they wouldn't let us in

Loved the fact they have a pseudo outdoors bit, loved the music both inside and out. Had so much fun here and glad I found somewhere open really late. Awesome vibes.

I’ve tried to get into bushwackers twice in the past few weeks, the same doorman who ID’s everyone isn’t very good at his job. The first time we didn’t get let in was because we were ‘too casual’, the outfits me and my friends were wearing was very reasonable enough for any other place to let us in. This is also the first time I’ve experienced anything like this. Following that he follows to let people in with people who are also ‘casual’ as he said. I ask him what’s the problem with what we’ve got on but he continued to ignore my question. This doorman is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced, seems to not let people in by their colour of the skin. Disgusting.

Aggressive doormen that make up door policy as they go. A group of strangers and myself were told that we weren't getting let in because the door was closed but there was still plenty of people being let in while they were saying that... they probably turn away 50% of their customers. Best afterparty my arse.

Not very friendly doormen for supposed upmarket after club. Look more like gang members than security with no hosting skills. Just hostile skills! Went in mens toilet and the toilet attendent is taking bribes of money to let them take illegal products in the cubicles.

Way over priced with very little space, £10 entry is stupid for a place with about 2x5m area dance floor, especially when the drinks are also over £10 each. no thanks👎

My friend and I came last night for one of my friends birthday, the bouncers asked for ID which we showed, they asked a few normal questions and proceeded to let us in. When we got to the door the people on the door requested ID, of which we provided. Upon this they proclaimed my ID wasn’t mine, they asked me multiple questions of which I was able to answer. They then asked for secondary forms of ID, as a person who doesn’t use social media and uses apple pay when out all I was able to show was my apple ID and my email account. I showed my name and email on my settings and they then decided this wasn’t enough and wanted a picture of me, I said that’s fine and then proceeded to show multiple pictures from my camera roll- they then again decided this wasn’t enough. They asked me questions about where I’d been that night which I answered and where I worked. They constantly spoke down to me and my friend and had a disgusting attitude towards us, even though everything they asked we were able to answer. They then after asking us numerous questions decided to not let us in, on what basis- I’m unsure, as the bouncers let us in which no issue. I find this absolutely appalling, why have bouncers if the people on the door are going to discredit their decisions. This is a badly organised place and the door staff blatantly lack basic manners. The fact they didn’t let us in and when we said okay we’ll leave, the bouncers questioned their decision, which shows the stupidity of turning us away. Don’t go to this place unless you want to be spoken down to and refused entry unnecessarily.

Salida nocturna, conociendo amigos. Me encontré con gorilas enojados y muy abusivos. He estado en clubes (de alto perfil también) en todo el mundo, pero no es muy frecuente que me traten así. Quienes creen que deben comportarse así. Asqueroso.

Looking for a after party venue?, this is probably the best in the city centre. I believe they had after revamp and open from 1am to 7 am (check with them to confirm) not bad for £10. If your into house music with a touch of a nice crowd, this is maybe for you.

Friendly staff, vip waitress was lovely. Outside music was wicked. Clean venue

This is no longer a restaurant or a bar anymore, management now only operating only once a week for Saturday night after party. A lot of people like this place as after party as you have access to 4 am. They close at 7 pm. But usually, they let you stay till 7 pm, depending on how busy they are. However, after long night finished in the morning you want to just go home quickly. That's what you get here pretty easy. As you will be able to find a lot if taxi ranked right outside of the door. Best place for club goers who want after party club. Just remember this place only for Saturday night.

Great place for a Saturday night out, stays open till 7am with last entry till 4am. Free parking around the area if you are driving.

Use aquí con bastante regular los sábados por la noche bien Las primeras horas de los domingos por la mañana solían ser un gran ambiente en la terraza, especialmente durante el verano con algunos excelentes djs, pero últimamente los djs no parecen ser tan buenos como solían ser. las últimas veces que hemos estado allí, la música en la terraza es solo un mismo tono sin voces, solo arruina el ambiente, supongo que está bien para los que están fuera de sí, pero para las personas que salen a disfrutar de la música no es tan bueno.

Ordered two double whiskies from the bar staff and gave us only singles. Complained to the staff and she did not want to know. Very poor service. The one star is only because we asked for the managed who then dealt with us.

Mejor club en Birmingham, la música es tops topper se oyen mejor canciones. Mejores djs. Los festivos que suelen tener algún tipo de tema. Puede ser estricto en la puerta, pero si consigues en tendrá una noche de wicked en la terraza. También hay una zona vip para relajarse, pero sus reuniones y vips celebra. Sí y no ir vestido para impresionar a bush tienen afilados.

Great place for a cheeky drink or event

Siempre puedes ir aquí después de un par de copas por la ciudad. Siempre hay un gran ambiente. La música es probablemente el único lugar en lugar de Brum que reproduce todas música House y no RnB. Tienen algunos buenos djs tocando. Nunca tuvimos una comida aquí, así que no puedo comentar sobre la comida puede tener que darle una oportunidad a una de las semanas.

Not very contemporary, expensive

Went for night out with friends and family, doorman rude for 1, had booked VIP table, only to be told that your not having champagne by the snotty little barmaid, but complained to manager and got my champagne in the end. I will never go there again, some of the staff are vile. Due yourself a favour don't bother.

Simply full of pretentious people. Pay £10 on the door for flooded toilets...it was a quick exit for me and friends.

Intentamos llegar a conocer a mi novia y unos amigos en el sábado pero era muy repentinamente rechazados porque no me parece justo para el lugar. Me pareció que era un poco extraño porque no me audición en un anuncio para ellos, sólo me apetecía una bebida. Cuando pregunté por la guardia me detuvo, él fue grosero y agresivos por ninguna razón. Sé porteros tienen una tendencia a no ser el más más felices de almas pero este amigo era realmente arrastrando el Barrel. Mis amigos me dejaron saber lo que había pasado y nos fuimos a otro lado a uno de los mil lugares que están más merece nuestra a medida que éste. No volveré.

Nuestro grupo de cinco necesitábamos un lugar cerca de trabajo, donde podíamos en forma nuestra comida en nuestra escapada hora de almuerzo. Cuando llegamos nos encontramos que el lugar para estar tranquilo y bastante oscuro.Nuestra pedidos de alimentos y bebidas donde ocupaban rápidamente y la comida también se sirve con prontitud. Todos disfrutamos de sus comidas y volvimos en la oficina a menos de una hora.

City centre bar located in basement premises. Busy at times, with drinkers and lunchtime customers ordering basic but quite good value food. Service a bit erratic. There are nicer places nearby.

Yo y un grupo de amigos visitamos Bushwackers anoche, todas elegantemente vestidos para una noche decente. Mi amigo blanco me dijeron que sólo ella puede ir y el resto de nosotros que son negros y asiáticos, nos dijeron que no podemos entrar porque somos negros y asiáticos.

Visited for my works Christmas do as we went last year and was very impressed but sad to say this year wasn't so impressed with bushwhackers service and food as I was last year! A few people waited to get main meal well after people had eaten! I was served 2 pieces of salmon which was nice however meant that another person missed out on her salmon as there was a misunderstanding when it was served!!!
