The gym facilities were great but after 2 x price increases out of the blue, I could no longer afford to attend the gym. Heres where my difficulties began... I canceled my membership at the counter and was informed that this was all completed for me and I would have to pay for the next 30 days and an extra week of membership before the payments ceased. I left open my direct debit so that the payment could be taken for an extra 8 days of membership. When this date arrived, Halo automatically took a full month's payment so I rang the gym - to which a snotty cow jobsworth in the call-centre said that they do not cancel memberships this way and that I had to continue to pay. To cut a long story short, it took a total of 7 x telephone calls over 3 days to get my money back - please do bear in mind that they also never answer the phone! Due to this terrible experience, I shan't be going again and feel patrons should be aware of how difficult it is to cancel a membership should they need to in the future.

As a family, we go to halo swimming pool fairly often. The staff are always super nice and today they went above and beyond to help us out.

Myself and partner took his daughter swimming for a birthday treat we had to go in the one pool with the slide in as others were for lessons which was fine then when we got in the pool it was so cold in the water to the point we left early. The changing rooms were so dirty the floors the toilets it was discusting to be honest. Dirty plasters in cubicals that had fallen off people's feet. The showers after were far to hot nearly burning we couldn't stand under it for long so went to a family room and used the shower on there as i can control the temperature of it.

Great place to meet people and enjoy leisure time swimming and spar Lovely coffee and food Staff are really helpful nothing is to much trouble The spar is very well equipped with sauna steam room and hot tube

The swimming pools are hardly open in term time because of the school children going. This isn’t fair on people using and paying for the pool !!! And in the holidays you can’t swim as ill behaved children ! The lifeguards do not care. The changing are smelly and dirty I have to shower again when I go home !! The toilet Are unhygienic overflowing nappy bin at 6:30am ? Horrible changing areas. The spa is falling apart !! And people using the hot tub for over an hour without moving and having consider anyone else using it !! It’s a poor what are the cleaning staff doing !! My wife and 2 year old visited the centre today to use the soft play facilities. After she returned to the car to find a £45 parking fine. She went back in to speak to the staff and they did not help at all. She asked to speak to the manager who replied with well I’m finishing my shift soon and the parking attendant only comes in a couples times per day. Although my wife tried to explain that the ticket machine was Brocken they did nothing to help. We also visited on the previous Saturday where I tried to buy a coffee from a guy behind the counter who served two different customers before me. Staff seem arrogant and unhappy in this organisation. There are around 19 gyms in hereford atm but this is one gym that I will not be revisiting.

A bit pricey for one day at a time but the equipment is in good shape and it is not overcrowded. Could use more room by free weights and some machines are queued up sometimes.

We visited today the staff were friendly and the main pool was fab. They have a wave machine and a large slide, unfortunately the slide was closed due to staffing issues (overheard a lifeguard say they didn't have enough people to man it today) Waves were running every 30 minutes and inbetween we used the large swimming pool this one is cold compared to the leisure pool but keeps you moving! The other 2 pools were closed (diving pool and a little pool where I assume lessons take place, or used to) All in all great day! Massive park right outside and parking is reasonable for a city.

Visited the soft play area with granddaughter she loved it only a small one but ok for a £1. Entry...£1. Parking which is good...now the bad points thought we would have a spot of lunch after at the cafe so found a table which was very dirty food all over the floor...cleaned that...got a high chair that was worse very dirty...ordred two bacon sandwiches was given a number for our table we waited and waited and waited till we lost patience 40 minutes my wife went to see what was going on and was told they had been done and was under the counter waiting for someone to pick up for takeaway even though we had been given a table number ??? Bad end to nice day with granddaughter place looks very under staffed...

After experiencing Waitrose cafe's dismal & very overpriced fayre few days before this was the opposite, a couple of bacon sandwiches that were the best I have tasted in a long time. Very reasonable priced & service was also excellent. Will certainly return.

Changing rooms are disgusting. The swimming pool is grubby - dirty plasters lying on the side. Pool itself isnt particularly clean either. Whole place needs closed down and cleaned and refurbed as it could be really nice. Just very dirty and tired looking.

halo operate a loyalty card so every tenth hot drink is free. Collect stars each time you visit to obtain your free drink. Tasty snacks and cakes available as well as crisps and nutritional smoothies and shakes.

I went on a Thursday and inexplicably only the leisure pool was open, the pool is not large enough to cope with the demand that is placed on it and hence it was cramped. I also object to having to leave my shoes outside the changing area but other than these two things it was a nice visit.

Not too bad and does the basics but the fun bit (slides and wave pool) far too small. Empty main pool and training pool and cramped leisure bit fits the mould of where these pools always fail in catering to the competitive at the expense of the general population...and in the county town too. Wave machine only seemed to operate once an hour for about 20 seconds which begs the question what's the pint of having really. Very off-putting smell of fatty food on entering the pool too. Don't expect to have to walk through a greasy spoon to get to somewhere to get fit! On plus side, well staffed and very clean with good changing area that rightly insists you take off your shoes before entry...too many pools don't do this enough.

Han tenido el nuevo equipo un tiempo y es todo muy impresionante, pero el equipo anterior era muy buena si tenía discapacidades. Por ejemplo, si tenía un brazo mal su otro brazo podría ayudarle haciendo la mayoría del trabajo. Todas las nuevas máquinas no hagas esto

considering leisure centres promote healthy lifestyles the food is always greasy and 'chips with everything' type options. not particularly clean or well presented. machine made coffee which was bitter. total contrast to when i last visited some 12 years ago

For a leisure centre you'd think they would promote healthy food! Not this place. You can get pretty much everything with chips that you get at a greasy joes

We came here with some work colleagues on a course, Basic and box standard nothing to write about ready. Food nothing to write about plain, and uninteresting and very little choice.

It's pretty basic and can be quite noisy at times. I've gone there to do some coursework before and have a snack whilst waiting for a lift home.
