The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Called in for coffee. It’s been refurbished since our last visit. Shown to our table pleasantly by waitress. I noticed they cleaned down tables quickly following people leaving which is often neglected elsewhere. Nice to have waitress service taking orders quickly and serving quickly. Lovely coffee compared to others iv3 tasted recently. Will call again.

Absolutamente horrible, ordenado y dicho poco de una espera que estaba bien, 20 minutos después ni siquiera mal trago preguntado de nuevo dijo 10 minutos, otros 20 minutos de inglés completo llegó y se congeló pidió un reembolso y el dinero se cerró de golpe en la mesa! Lo sentí por la chica mientras estaba sola haciendo pedidos masivos de comida de Uber y sirviendo a los clientes en el café... ¡Qué vergüenza para el dueño por dejarla sola un sábado por la mañana!

I had the task of organising a celebratory birthday meal for 24 people and chose the Lakeview Restaurant at Calderfields Golf and Country Club. We attended Friday 19 April. The staff, Liam and Chris were wonderful, they were professional and polite to everyone and they did a great job of looking after us all, nothing was too much trouble. Also compliments to the Chef and the kitchen staff, the food was amazing and served hot, people who ordered steak said it was cooked to their liking, a great effort from everyone getting food out on time to 24 of us, well done everyone concerned you are a great asset to the club. Everybody had a great evening and we all said we would definitely go again and have a Sunday carvery in the near future

Haven't been in to this store for some months.. I forgot how lovely it is. The staff and manager were so helpful and chatty , it's so nice to actually have a conversation with people and not feel rushed or in the way. It's spotlessly clean and the chocolates are so special. This little shop is a gem and I can't wait to go back for my next treat.

Morrison basket is among the top quality and best prices overall. Yet, I expected more of this branch, the area is not clean enough, the music is the worst part!! I love the bakery and cake shop, the quality of the breads is high and perfect. I also like the pizza and takeaway section that, unfortunately, it is now closed for no reason! The most fresh products are among the fish and meat sections. The staff are friendly. You will get seasonal rewards and engagement promotions within the app. They recently added the digital receipts into the app. Thanks for the customer service hearing the feedback. Now, it is time to clean the entrance!

The wait for food was far too long. Ordered food and then after 45 minutes of waiting a waitress came over and said they had run out of fries for the meals and would have to do chips instead. Food was Luke warm, ordered a prawn cocktail, bread was stale, very little sauce on prawns. Childs meal was served on a very very hot plate, after waiting over an hour for the food to arrive at the table our child was very hungry and eager to get started eating but we could let him touch the plate. 2 meals were bought out and put on the table and then a further 10min wait and watching other tables being served their meals, for the rest of our meals to arrive, 3 further meals. Asked for mayonnaise, waiting 10mins for this to be bought over, ended up getting one from another table that hadn't been cleared. Ordered a child's ice cream, another 25minute wait 🤦🏻‍♀️ Clearly the venue was short staffed, short stocked and overall a really bad experience.

Quiz night out, very entertaining an enjoyable evening out. Food lovely and good value for money. Good size meals, plenty of food.

Food and staff amazing, however paddy mguiness quiz was awful. Visit here every week and partake in Ian’s quiz which is brilliant,and pub is always packed, tonight however pub was empty apart from our party of 2 and one other table. This was the worst quiz I’ve ever tried,gave up after picture round which is 2nd round as to much talking and time filling and not hosted by paddy as we expected! very impersonal and no community spirit like we normally have, can’t wait for this to end and we get the regular quiz back , a good old fashioned pen and paper quiz, hosted by Ian, which is fun and encourages engagement . However, food , drink and hospitality was spot on

Some colleagues and I were visiting the Coventry arena for a trade show where we stopped by The Mill for lunch. I ordered the bacon and cheese beefburger. The burger arrived quickly with a good portion of chips. Both of which were delicious!

Food was brilliant and couldn’t fault the service

This pub is now known as the Coven. It’s a great little pub, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is good. They have a lot of live bands on there at weekends, and open mic nights on Tuesdays. Both of very popular. Me and the missus have eaten there a number of times and there’s a good choice on the menu. What we have eaten has been reasonably priced and tasty. Worth the drive up from Birmingham.

Very nice restaurant but I get green Shrimps! I ask staff about it but no answer! For me first and last visit.
