The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Honestly this is a great store and even better when it was Beaties but nowadays, it's just not that great. The moment you get in the store it seems great but when you need help or to ask a question, good luck, there are no staff and when you do find them they're not interested. Such a shame because it could be what it once was.

Visited midweek for breakfast, booked online the day before and plenty of times to choose. Ordered the Medicine breakfast and despite being a bit pricey was delicious, would come back for breakfast again.

Been to pub many times great bar staff very friendly pub came with my kids for tea food was excellent highly recommended will definitely be coming back again soon

Booked into this place with our Motorhome and glad we did, clean well kept site, short walk across to the pub glad we did, this is a very traditional style old fashioned Pub I particularly enjoyed your real coal/ log burning stove, here they are serving fantastic honest quality food and some really good Ales etc, what a lovely bunch of staff no nonsense happy helpful people Thank you for good sausage mash and liver with onion gravy and very nice fries also proper nice lasagna, I can’t praise you enough, I’ll will return

Great food at a reasonable price. Perfect for people who like small meals as I had one dish with salad. Husband had three dishes- pizza, meatballs and chicken. Staff were great. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Don’t be fooled by the stunning pictures, these are from the last owner of the pub, like others have said the place has become an absolute mess, the gardens are ruined and the pub is dirty and often smells of weed and sewage. The new owner is not a nice person, who clearly despises women, he also loves conflict with customers and swears a lot, often on a microphone for the whole village to hear. It’s a real shame that a once beautiful village pub has now been destroyed. It is also well known, around Yoxall, that the positive reviews are from his son and family. If you want a drink or food in Yoxall, I would highly recommend The Crown Inn, we went there yesterday and the food was delicious, the drinks were more reasonably priced and the landlady, and her team, were friendly and welcoming.

We went to this pub for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon We both had club sandwich and the bacon wasnt cooked and very fatty and lettuce was black in parts. When asked if the meal was ok when we paid, i told the bar man and he said sorry you think that. No offer to reduce our bill.

Went for breakfast and was not fully impressed. Seemed to come very quickly after being ordered and when it does arrive, you can just see that some items have been pre-heated as opposed to being cooked fresh. ATM will be breakfasting elsewhere.

My first time here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It’s a lovely independent place with large beer garden, bar and restaurant area. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had booked a table for wheelchair access and everything had been positioned perfectly. The menu is a very sensible size to suit all, but small enough to be fresh, including a range of pizzas. The food is very good and well priced with few mains over £20 which includes two sides of your choosing. I would certainly recommend ash’s look forward to returning soon.

Had a great night, friendly staff, clean, very relaxing environment. Clean glasses(very important). Me and my auntie totally enjoyed the night.

Website has a full & comprehensive list of cocktails to choose from. Downside is that bar staff do not know/understand their cocktail offer. Ordered Long Island iced tea, which initially bar staff did not understand and another bar person stepped in & said he'd have a go at making one! It was the worst Long Island Iced tea that we've ever had. Vey disappointing

Absolutely awful woman (I use that word loosely) behind the bar....rude and sarcastic.... told us to go elsewhere if we didn't like it.....plus the prices were so expensive....... do yourself a favour and AVOID like the plague. I hope that barmaid loses her job.

Six of us had sandwiches of varying fillings and we shared some chips (homemade-delicious). We polished everything off and everyone was happy. Would recommend definitely.

We ordered 4 different meals, desserts and drinks, food came quite quickly, my chicken gyros was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Definitely warrants a return visit, loved the menu choices. Thanks team 😁
