The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Absolutely amazing Sunday Roast and phenomenal staff. Dealt with my difficult food needs with ease, including the chef having checked all of the carvery items before we arrived.

Lamentablemente un gran error. £ 11 para un café promedio, un tibio chocolate "caliente" y un bollo de queso rancio duro de roca era demasiado caro para tan pobre hada. La mesa no había sido limpiada de los clientes anteriores. Afortunadamente pedimos dentro y trajimos la comida fuera de nosotros mismos, pero otros clientes parecían tener algunos problemas para dar sus pedidos a los jóvenes empleados que obviamente tenían problemas con alguna nueva tecnología que llevaban para tomar pedidos en las mesas. No volveremos a ir.

I’ve visited here a few times now with family and my boyfriend and this is our favourite cafe to visit in Worcester. We love going for a walk around the river and then having some lunch here. The menu is really modern and the change it slightly a couple of times a year to reflect the season. My favourite was probably the summer menu which had the smoothie bowl. I really enjoyed the smoothie bowl and it actually made me realise how delicious vegan coconut yogurt is! I’ve had the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon before as well which were amazing. The juices they sell are quite nice too. The place has a nice atmosphere and music. It’s also well decorated. I would definitely recommend going here for brunch or lunch after a nice walk around Worcester.

Went into the cafe for a coffee and fancied a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. But they had no ham apparently. So had a chicken, bacon and pesto toasted ciabatta. It was actually very nice with the side salad and crisps. That certainly filled me up in place of lunch. Coffee was nice as well. Restaurant was a bit chilly, but i think the heating was just getting going. Anyway i enjoyed what i had. But running out of ingredients such as ham, reduces the stars given.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! We ordered large cod and large chips. Had to ask Jenny (owners wife for a price of a proper sized fish). They are counters... l will tell you why... they count the chips, they count everything. The portion size was so small compared to other establishments. When we got got the chips home, they were awful... about 3 x scoops for a large mix bag (battered and regular). As for the cod. They left the skin on. Who leaves the skin on their fish these days... just lazy! The food was cold. I rang to complain spoke to Jenny (wife of Wayne, owner). Was told no one had complained before in over 65 years! I Don't believe you Jenny. After waiting over 30mins for the food. You could not offer us any solution for a spoilt meal. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS... THE FOOD WAS ABYSMAL, COLD, GREASY, SMALL PORTION

Found this place on booking.com for an overnight stay for a wedding in one of the adjacent villages. We contacted them to see if we could check in slightly earlier as the wedding started during the orginal check in time , response time was quick and there was no issue. There was a bit of a stress during to find a car parking space and a taxi to the wedding venue but they helped us with both finding a nearby car park and also a lift to the venue for a small charge which we were most greatful for. The room was clean , vintage decour and a beautiful view over the river. Besides the couple above us being very loud all night which is out of the hotels control we had a pleasent stay and would return.

After a ride on the SVR we got off at Arley to visit the arboretum. It was a lovely afternoon so we decided to get a sandwich and a drink before returning to Bridgnorth on the train. There isn’t a great deal of choice of sandwiches, but what they had was lovely and fresh with lots of filling (ham and cheese) with salad and crisps on the side. Together with a mug of tea it was perfect for a sunny afternoon by the river.

I stayed here one night I had no heating no hot water the food was burnt I had to get out of there I can out with the flu because of it. Do not visit this hotel

Recently stayed overnight in the hotel and dined in the restaurant. We both had the Valentines set menu and both agreed it was fantastic Service was brilliant couldn’t have been better

Basic, but perfectly acceptable, pub food in a boring corporate dining room. It will fill you up but it certainly won't excite to the palate.

Oopsie Daisy is a great little 'coffee shop/teashop' it is a unique bespoke venue with lovely choice of light snacks, cakes etc & great drinks choice. It is highly recommended

VERY mediocre, nothing at all exciting/special. The place will NOT be missed after the CIty Centre South development, to be quite honest.

I use this costa drive through a lot, however when I go now I feel like the staff in the drive through are very unprofessional and I also feel very uncomfortable when waiting for my drink. The girls answers the ordering system in the drive through laughing and distracted to the point I had to retell them my order again at the window. There was no greeting or morning said, just talking to themselves or talking through the head sets to each other (as no one else was in the queue) They make you feel uncomfortable because you are unsure of what they are talking about, or even if they are talking about you with the looks they give each other.

Thank you for getting us 3 tables together for my wife's 60th birthday, your staff were quite attentive and as always your food was given 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ from All of us, nothing was too much trouble. Peter and your lovely staff and again thanks from Peter and my wife and family . Never let's us down ever for family birthdays and parties

We called here for breakfast & on the last Friday in January wity my daughter & I of my grandson We had 2 full English breakfast ,Poached eggs on toast an extra sausage We had various coffees etc to drink including flat whites .food came out quite speedily and looked really appetizing All very tasty & cooked to, perfection Ideal place for bringing grandchildren here as play area adjacent and very popular Overall excellent
