The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Another superb meal at White Truffle. All three courses were delicious and beautifully presented. I have reviewed this restaurant before, but there is no harm in reviewing again as it is maintaining its very high standard. Thank you, again, for the excellent way you handle my Sue's dietary difficulties!

Stopped on route home, did not expect much but it was excellent. Pulled pork nacho according to daughter were delicious, jalapeños were a little little bit spicy. Hulk burger was rated 2nd best burger by my son, who lives for burger, only Honest Burger in Brighton was better according to him, this is a high accolade. I do have to agree my double cheese smash burger was lovely, and chips were Season to perfection. Do yourself a favour and visit this place, you’re not going to regret it. 2 burgers, 1 pulled pork nachos and chips all round was about £37. Food is cooked to order so do not expect a drive through experience like Maccies etc

We had a lovely dinner. Well presented, tastes were lovely and careful thought had gone into the dishes with local and seasonal ingredients. I would like to have bought some of the art but the one we liked had already sold and the others were out of my price range. 😅 The rest of the building is also interesting with a range of film memorabilia.

Another great evening. Guy Owen and the St Enodoc team returned to St Austell college and spent the day with the students culminating in another stunning dinner. The food was fabulous, I wish I had photographic evidence but I devoured it without thought of reviews. This years students are fairly early in their 2nd year. Dare I say I think the front of house were more accomplished than last years students at this stage? I can't fault them in any way. The commitment to come in to college for 9 am and leave at 9pm, some with 90 minute journeys to and from home isn't lost on us. The future of Cornish restaurants is in good hands with this team. We love coming here to eat. Thank you!

Lovely experience here today for meeting a colleague- amazing staff who really want to help. Beautiful home made cakes particularly the Lindor brownie I had - truly delicious. Can see why it’s the No 1 rated place in North Petherton. A gem of a place to find 😀

Fantastic coffee and pastries set us up for our walk along the coastal path. Didn’t have time to return for ice cream sadly.

Although it was empty for a Saturday night (strange) the decor was very youthful with a very fresh vibe. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. They had a large range of sharing plates, pizzas and drinks! Having ordered the pizzas they arrived so quickly and oh my word they were to die for!! The other half said it was the best pizza he’s ever had! (Hot and spicy) - he’s not easy to please! If we’re ever visiting Bodmin again we will be back!

A good selection of shops with a properous surviving department store Austin . Like many centres some well known brands have left behind empty shops Tis does not help the Vitality

Clearly an independent local business. Top grade food, sandwich made to order, with a friendly chat while doing so. Definitely a business to support.

Quite simply outstanding, probably the best food I have ever eaten. Service was also first class. So, so impressed and will definitely be back the next time I’m in Cornwall

This was great, we were 2 couples and we have eaten at many different restaurants, we did not not really know what to expect. It was wonderful, to be greeted by young Sophie A who looked after us for our meal, she was very attentive, proffesional and very courteous. The meal was fabulous, and perfectly presented, it was indeed fine dining cuisine without a doubt. It was so nice to see young people practicing their hosting skills and their cooking skills. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you all and to sample your skills. Thanks We will be back.

Called on on our way back from stone henge ..and Wow!..beautiful toasted current t cake with lovely soft butter, perfection! Great quality coffee friendly staff and fast service with a smile. Clean stylish cafe .These guys have got it right ... Rare xx
