Pedyr's Bake House in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Fantastic family-run bakery, we visited almost every other day during our 2 week stay in Polperro and very much enjoyed the freshly baked bread, sweet & savoury treats, as well as a great selection of vegan items. Highly recommend and kudos to the very talented baker!

Amazing bakery. Would definitely recommend. My husband won’t eat onions so they very kindly made him A meat pastry with no onions, which was delicious! Lovely friendly service and the food is amazing!!!

This is an absolute gem in Polperro. Great vegan selection, excellent customer service, very high quality bakes. Everyone involved is clearly very passionate about what they do. Exceptionally talented baker.

I was on one of my treks with my bike and fancied a pasty. Polperro is bursting with places to eat but I stopped at Pedyrs. The lady in the shop told me she had just the one pasty left so I was lucky because it was the best I've had in donkeys years (I live in North Devon). I wish I could buy them up here. Moist, full of flavour and massive.

Having already sampled the delicious bread and pastry’s I decided to get one of the amazing looking pork pies for my husband as they are his favourite. He declared Pedrys as the best pork pie he’d eaten. Thank you Peter

Another stay in polperro so another visit or two to this wonderful bakery . Everything we have tried has been delicious and the little touches like the way everything is packaged does not go unnoticed and also the very friendly lady who serves us. Will definately visit next may . #

We were coming from Polruan so asked to put aside some pasties for us which they did. Both the meat and vegetarian pasties were magnificent. The Eccles cakes were a delight as well. Worth a visit even if there is a queue.

Traditional pasty was delicious! Best I’ve ever tasted. Pedyr was in the shop & was very modest about his baking.

Popped in for a pasty for our lunch. We were not disappointed. The pasty was delicious, lots of filling. Also purchased a piece of stolen, which was equally as delicious. When we come back to Polperro we will revisit.

Believe the positive reviews, we have tried pasties all over Cornwall and have become pasty connoisseurs. These are one of the best we have tried. Delicious home made pasties in crunchy shortcrust pastry, I had a traditional steak which was delicious and filled to the brim with potatoes, swede and tender steak, my wife had the cheese and pickle pastry which was amazing too. We also had a cinnamon swirl bun that was amazing. The staff were really friendly too. We will definitely return & probably make a special trip just for the pasties! Shame they are closing for a holiday to start their Xmas cake making, or we would be returning tomorrow!

The best bakery we visited in Cornwall, and that is saying a lot! Amazing selection and at very reasonable prices, the service was so friendly too. We had the custard bun and Belgian bun and both were to die for. Great selection for vegetarians and vegans, these were listed on the board outside for ease. Would make a trip back to polperro especially to revisit. Thank you!

By far the best bakers in the area. Outstanding quality and service from a small bakery in the heart of Polperro. The choice is amazing, the cakes Devine and the pasties / bread is to die for. Each item is beautifully wrapped and you can see the pride they have on their products. These products would not be out of place in Fortnum & Mason or Harrods food halls showcased as the best of British Baking.

Bought a pasty and a couple of cakes from this very impressive Bake House. Every item was individually wrapped up with precise instructions on how to re heat the pasty stuck to the bag. The items bought were delicious and clearly the owners take a lot of care and pride in what they do. Highly recommended.

Wonderful filled rolls made to order, cream tea in a box for self assembly (£2.50!!) and then ......Lardy cake .....haven't had it for years. YUM. Prices very, very reasonable and lovely staff. Don't miss Pedyr's Bake House.

Wonderful artisan bakery products, reasonably priced and served by the nicest of people. Notwithstanding their fantastic offerings for us humans, Pedyrs baked doggy treats are now very much the treat of choice for our fifteen year old Labrador, and you can’t begrudge him a taste of indulgent luxury in his old age, can you?

This is the best bakery shop I’ve come across in all my travelling of the UK. Peter bakes everything fresh in the shop each day - pasties, scones, bread rolls, cakes and more. The pasties are delicious, my favourite is the cheddar and red onion chutney and they are nice and big. The scones are delicious and nice and big also. His parents, who run the shop are really nice and very helpful. They are closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday for ‘their weekend’, so I had to go hungry on these days 😂. I’ll certainly be going again next year when we are on holiday in Polperro.

A bakery of quality. Not only do they bake the best of breads and of course pasties. Many other things to tempt you. The bakery is proud to know the source of the quality ingredients. A really good experience. The staff are very friendly and proud of the produce sold.

Amazing artisan style bakery in the heart of Polperro. Another lovely visit to Pedyr’s Bake house. Scrumpy super bakes to choose from (Make sure you get there early as they sell out quick) Our most recent visit we enjoyed an Apple Turnover, Chocolate & Custard Twist & Cheese Straws. We also love their Full Monty Pie (An English breakfast style pie) but sadly they had sold out this time but we look forward to our next visit to try some more delicious treats. The couple behind the counter are always really lovely too. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic bread and cakes, during our stay in Polperro I sampled the corn bread, Eccles cake, Pasties and Almond Croissants, Florentines and everything was freshly baked and of the highest quality. It was the best pasty I had in my trip to Cornwall (and I had a pasty almost everyday!)

Absolutely gorgeous bakery and service with a smile. Popped in for scones and bread. Felt completely valued as a customer even though we made such a small purchase. The bread was wrapped so lovingly and with genuine pride. They know they are serving you the very best. Delightful shop, you must visit!
