We were only staying round the corner for 2 nights so on our last day after checking out we decided we’d try the coffee shop after seeing reviews and it also stating was Dog Friendly as we had our two little dogs with us. Was easy to find and we were there not long after it opened. First disappointment was the sign on the window saying Dogs only allowed outside - therefore in our eyes, this cafe is not Dog Friendly just because you can sit with them outside. They are Dog tolerant, and this really disappointed us. The second disappointment was that bar toast and a tea cake they do no other breakfast items, there was a picture on line of poached eggs but I did ask and was told no - so we just had toast. I will say the Latte I had was very hot and lovely but our third disappointment was the fact it started to spit a little and we did get a little damp. One of the owners came outside, made a comment about the summer weather and could see our toast and us were getting wet and we stupidly thought that she may say - just use the nearest table to door inside or something so didn’t get too wet - but no she didn’t. We literally quickly finished our toast and tea and went back to car. I understand some places cannot have dogs inside but I think sometimes a little discretion can be used. We actually felt after our visit that Wiltshire is less Dog Friendly than Essex and thats saying something. We did go into a Pub in Amesbury that did not allow dogs but the bar girl at the time used her brain and actually allowed us to sit in their little courtyard, it wasn’t busy and there were no issues. Its a shame but this spoilt the end of our mini break. We actually drove 3 hours back home and went to a local pub which even have a “Dog” menu and our dogs had some ice cream.

We visited Durrington for the vintage vehicle show, and needing refreshment afterwards called in here. What an excellent coffee shop ! We had coffees ( superb ) and really good toasted teacakes. The latter came with unusual pats of Herefordshire butter - reallynice and creamy. It was good to see that dogs were welcome in the outside seating area and not inside - this is as it should be, and would encourage future visits.

Leaving nearby Stonehedge we were starving before having to drive 2 hours plus back to London - then I saw these reviews and headed straight to it a mere 12 minutes away, Si glad we did! Delicious!

Oh my goodness you cannot better than this little gem of a cafe in a village. The coffee is fresh and vast menu of choice. The cakes are just to die for. Mostly homemade and of high standard with the staff either making them, themselves or having lots knowledge about the ingredients. I am a childminder and I like to treat my children from time to time especially if they have worked hard or been very good, well here you cannot get better milkshakes. They have a vast array of flavours, with icecreams to match and of course the cream and sauce just to finish it off [perfectly. Sandwiches and toasties are freshly made to order, with the trimmings and with the right amount filling. You will never leave hungry, or needing something else, all boxes are ticked. You have a friendly greeting when arriving and are never left too long without being served or asked how you are. Highly recommended and worth visiting their social media pages to find out more.

Visited today for coffee and cake. Very welcoming, and felt very comfortable. Had a latte and a blondie, both of which were delicious. Eaten whilst reading my book. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

We recently moved to Durrington and have visited for coffee and cake several times. We've always had superb service and the food/drink is lovely. It's great to have such a nice place right on our doorstep. If we were to have a comment it would be that it's a pity that well behaved dogs are not allowed inside. We understand that it's their choice and it doesn't spoil a tasty cake in the sunshine.

Whenever I pop into Maples I am never disappointed, even with four teenagers in tow. There are always delicious cakes, even for vegans, ice creams, tray bakes and even sandwiches or toasties and a great variety of drinks to suit every appetite. I like the ambience and decor, too, and of course the ever friendly team. Keep going 👍🏻

This is a local community coffee shop - but as tourists on our way to Durringtom Walls it was a great place to stop for good coffee in comfortable surroundings.

A lovely coffee shop, which went against my expectations based on the surrounding area which looked rather unpromising. But the cafe is lovely inside and the people who served me were charming and friendly and smiley and made me feel extremely welcome even though they were about to close and I only picked up a take-away coffee and a sausage roll, which were both excellent. I hope the locals of Durrington support this terrific place.

Maples is a real community hub, providing a comfortable, cosy place to meet up over a cup of coffee with friends, family and colleagues. Clare and family serve up a great range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks - not forgetting the delicious cakes and Jon's legendary sausage rolls! Eat in or take away, you are guaranteed a warm welcome - there is even a range of ice creams for your canine companions. Great for a.leisurely lunch or even just a quick refuelling stop for hikers and bikers. Highly recommended.

Friendly efficient service and great food! Toasted sandwiches were delicious and cooked perfectly. Plenty of filling and lovely garnish (especially the coleslaw). Highly recommend - great work everyone, 😎

Found this place on Tripadvisor and so pleased we popped in. Wanted a snack before heading off for a walk taking in Woodhenge, Durrington Walls and the wider Stonehenge landscape. Ordered ham and cheese toastie and brie and cranberry toastie. Absolutely scrumptious; the brie and cranberry was really lovely and hot and oozy. Great find.

Came for a latte and a hot chocolate with my girlfriend around lunch time, amazing friendly service and a very chilled and cozy atmosphere, will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend :)

Popped in for a late coffee & cake on the way back from visiting Stonehenge. Didn't have many choice of cakes however it was late on Sunday, just before closing time. The service was lovely and cakes/milkshake delicious. Highly recommended. Would not hesitate to visit again

Had another very enjoyable lunch ,very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We had the Brie and cranberry toasted sandwiches,which are a favorite choice ..There are many other varieties,and they will willingly adapt to personal choice. Always lovely selection of fresh cakes etc. There was a steady flow of customers,either to eat in or takeaway which says how popular they are. Very clean throughout, and continual table cleaning while we were there.

We love Maples! Great range of home made cakes and the sausage rolls are exceptional. Full range of hot drinks and cold soft drinks, delicious ice cream and freshly prepared sandwiches with a range of fillings to suit all tastes. All served up by Claire...

Out on a walk and stopped by on the off chance ot may be open. Great coffee, great service. Takeaway only due to covid restrictions.

Didn’t know this place existed until today. Been open 3 months. My wife had Americana & I had tea plus I had a ham sandwich which was thick with plenty of ham & nice salad & garnish. The food was excellent & the place nicely...

Great independent coffee shop with lovely coffee, friendly owners and cake to die for (especially the brownie). Highly recommended and we look forward to many future visits.

I’ve visited this cafe a few times and it has always been a great experience. The owners are lovely and the food & drink is delicious. Great facilities for babies too, with baby changing facilities and highchairs (with trays!) provided. I highly recommend.

This is a great little coffee shop, it serves outstanding local coffee and delicious home made cakes, tray bakes and other delectable savories, the coronation chicken is an outstanding sandwich they offer as well as the sausage rolls, you wont be disappointed if you call...
