Visited Taylors on a drizzly Sunday with my Mum and some friends. We had the delicious Sunday Roast. I went for Beef with all the trimmings. Opted for the Lemon Meringue pie for dessert! Amazing! Great value for money £22.00 for two courses. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Super Gluten Free Menu! Would definitely return when we're in Tavistock again.

Scrumptious💕good to warm your heart had the most fabulous evening last night. The food was simply outstanding. The wines were supplied by Sovereign Wines…delicious. Gorgeous meat from Palmers the butcher. Dartmoor Ice-cream and Flapjackery added to our delicious desserts and Pettifours. 43 people dined and received exemplary service and outstanding food. As a fundraiser we raised a good sum of money for The Tavistock Foodbank. As a community group we totalled £3915 so far for charitable causes. As a community group we enjoyed great company in a fabulous local restaurant serving delicious local food supplied by local businesses. What more could we ask for! Thank you Mike Palmer and your amazing team. Give this new business a chance and spend an evening here you won’t regret it for a moment. 43 the best food we have enjoyed in a long time. Great venue for Christmas parties and any functions for up to 50 people.

Coffee small and cheap tasting. Quich was ok but had a choice of a garnish or salad - went for the salad - which sadly was only a size of a garnish and only lettuce, cucumber and tomato with a mass produced coleslaw! The waitress made no effort in making conversation and definitely there to get a weekly wage and never smiled or showed any warmth. She is definitely a ‘karen’. The menu a typical greasy spoons - with boring choices. Expensive for what it is was! Very little vegetarian choices just your normal vegetarian sausage!

Went to grab some breakfast - real shame as potential to be amazing. Waiting staff very strange - a couple actually left as they’d been told it was table service and then sat for ages before leaving about 20 minutes after arriving where they hadn’t been served? We were served fine - but food poor. Sausage cremated yet greasy - fry up fine but not great. Won’t be returning

Chosen by a family member. Nice ambience, obviously a popular local pub, proper boozer with add-ons. Friendly barman and decent waiting staff. Starters of venison Scotch egg (nice but ridiculous price), ham terrine and couple of pieces of toast (was good) and calamari ( ridiculous price and size, battered to heck and overcooked. Mains for kids - pasta, sausage roll. Mains for adults - lasagne (decent(, fish chips and peas (in a small bowl, no spoon!) which was average at best and small, the prawn masala (enjoyed but I tasted it and thought it mediocre) two steak and chips - good meat reportedly but came with chips, half a tomato stuffed with garlic, couple of mushrooms and these thinly sliced pieces of onion cooked in a tempura batter - very 70s with a minor twist and pointless. At 33 quid it was ten quid overpriced. All the food is hugely overpriced. Fortunately for me (bank of dad) nobody wanted dessert, with mud puie a tad under a tenner, I was quite pleased.

I don't know where I should start. First of all, you can literally smell their pasties from the other side of Tavistock, and when you get there, they won't disappoint. Got 2 medium trad pasties for my friend & I for lunch, and the lady at the counter discounted it by like 60p each using the Warren's app or something like that. She also gave us a lot of vouchers (not that we were gonna use them) so we gave them away. Should've eaten it in Tavistock, because when I reached the service station, it was a bit cold. Just going to say this: As a tourist, maybe I don't know what a proper Cornish pasty tastes like, but Warren's fulfills my definition of proper (the ones up in London are worse and twice as expensive).

Brilliant little cafe, lovely farm shop. Food was amazing and we were served by a lovely waitress called Georgia! Would definitely recommend.
