Ordered my summer fav coffee frappe. Was asked if I wanted cream to which I replied 'absolutally'. I took the drink back to my table and started to spoon off the top to savour BUT..it was vile synthetic tasting muck. I then re-queued and spoke with the manager, explainin that I ws offered cream and in Costa Launceston it is always lovely proper cream. He was dismissive saying that the reciped is vegan cream (what???) and that the onky reason Launceston geve me dairy cramwas that I go there regularly. I stated that I have never had a choice there, it was always dairy cream. He jsut stood there staring at me. He only offered a refund or a replacement minus 'Cream' as I walking away saying that I was going to write a review on Trust Pilot !! Never again! He then was clearly berating me to the older woman who served me originally. Launceston Branch here I come.

What can go wrong with a coffee. Always hot and always served quickly and correctly. Great staff.

Nice location and good size shop

Enjoyed the swift service and proactive staff who toasted my cajun chicken wrap to perfection. Really tasty. Barista also very quick to administer hot milk for my Americano. The layout is OK, some cosy pockets but tables mostly beside the wall so a fair amount of people pass by. Area at the back smelled a bit as the toilet is very nearby, hence no one on that table. But good for a quick pit stop.

Love going to Costa on my days off. I've finally found the drink that suits my health needs. (Dairy-free) so accommodating and friendly. Would totally recommend 👌

Coffees in Tavistock! Had 3 x Costa coffees in the last fortnight. The young man does a great job, hot, tastes as it should! However, he needs to teach his skills to some of the other staff! Consistency with that sort of product really shouldn't be a problem. Say it how it is me! 🤔😁

My sister and I visited this cafe today and ww were appalled at the antics of one member of staff,this being a dark haired female. This member of staff constantly had her fingers on her mouth in her hair and on her face,she then went on to serve customers without washing her hands.What has happened to food safety hygiene rules,we won’t be coming in again.

I wish there was other coffee shops to go to because Jesus Christ! Shop so dirty I wanted to leave the second I got to the door hadn’t even walked through the door and I could sense the laziness. Walked in every table piled up like mountains with trays of dirty cups and plates THREE baristas behind the counter but ZERO doing anything productive! YOU DO THE MATHS I ask for a drink that they cannot make yet I have had it countless times with ease and no trouble not once in drakes circus costa I love it it’s the best Costa this one is shocking only one member of staff actually helping and tiding up after plenty of time with nothing to do there was also staff with incorrect uniform on and messy hair The surfaces behind the counter are vile so dirty the coffee machine always ALWAYS looks like it’s been begging to be cleaned for months. It’s hot and not a nice experience to be in here at all All staff always moody and rude and unhelpful every time I really hate coming in here

Good location. Very good cortado. Nicely prepared. Millionaires shortbread was a sweet sugar buzz that paired just right with the jolt of caffeine from the coffee.

Ask for a drink and was told they didn’t want to make as they were closing in 40 mins it was a takeaway drink as well was told this by a moody young lady who didn’t smile once and whenever I visit I am usually ignored or served terrible coffee and I’ve just come to expect bad service or terrible incorrectly made beverages!! Getting pretty sick of this at this point wouldnt reccomend this Costa branch it hasn’t been the same since about 2017 or 2018!!!!!!! I love the people and the drinks in plymouth costas so lovely every time and they put up with so much more bother from Customers still but manage to remain polite and so so friendly all the time! Don’t bother going to this one support a small business instead so they don’t all shut!!!!

We stopped off at Costa situated in the Main Street in Tavistock for a Drink after a couple of hours wandering the Shops and Riverside Walk. Lovely smooth coffee as you would expect from a Costa with service friendly and efficient. Plenty of seating and Free WiFi.

This use to be a friendly Costa and could take the dogs in whilst having a coffee. Dogs now not allowed in this Costa which is a real detractor for the town when other cafes are closed. More dog friendly towns around if visiting the area so go there and avoid. Shame

Costa is Costa, it's over priced but we always go back.. the staff in this branch are friendly. Which is hard to find sometimes in a chain when they are overworked. But these ladies were friendly.

I don't know if it's just me, but compared to other Costa's this 1 always feels quite warm. Staff are friendly, service was good.

This is, by far. our favorite COSTA. Shannon and her team are always so happy and fun to chat to. We visit this Costa daily and always feel welcome. This really is a shining example of how a Costa should be run.

Lovely espresso, and cappuccino, great that you can have dairy free alternative to milk ,easy access in for disabled people, also has a disabled toilet separately to the other toilet .Nice friendly staff

Rubbish coffee, had to have them replace the 1st coffee. As it was very week. 2nd Coffee was the same. Gave up and walked out.

This was the first time that I've had Costa coffee. The shop was nice, not expensive and clean and comfortable. Parking is OK.

Hot chocolate drinks are always tepid never hot. I havnt drank anything else here so cannot comment on other drinks or food

I had a deluxe Mango 🥭 and passion fruit cooler , it was so refreshing. And as for the chocolate 🍫 tiffin it was divine ; so marshmallowy and chocolatey . Just so amazing. 🤩

Tavistock Costa. This store can be found on the High street This is a nice store. An original shop converted in to a coffee shop. This gives it character not like the normal metal box style of today. The hidden gem of this place is grab your drink and walk straight into the backyard what a lovely place to have a coffee Cheers DR

Now when you pay a visit to Costa Coffee the Coffee itself is fairly uniform……..very tasty and hot. The Tavistock Costa however went a step further and the place had a really comfortable friendly country feeling with a great atmosphere . Probably the only thing missing was an old log fire and mine host. Well worth a visit if in the Town.

Ony a disgraceful 2 edible products here, actually don't have added sugar, Also 2 of the smoothies are free from this toxic substance. Everything else has added sugar. Coffee is very good quality italian coffee. Staff always very well trained. They do try and Forse their religious views on their customers especially in December, by not giving the option of a non religious cup. Very poor dairy, gluten or vegan, for food, but there certainly are milk alternatives available, so there are drinks for everyone, but very poor food.

Had the opportunity to meet up with my bestie for the first time since the first Lockdown and we spent our time eating lovely toasties and drinking huge coffees. Lovely to see her, and didn't break the bank 👍💕

It sells coffee and all that, I only go in there because my Mrs likes going in. I went the other day with the wife and kids, and much to my dismay the outdoor seating open... which then meant my wife wanted to stay and drink our coffees in the wind, with my two boys going ape and disrupting everyone else's peace. As it turns out, it was windy as a mother trucker, so everyone was more concerned with holding on to their paper cups than being disrupted by my boys and their interesting table manners. I'm sure I'll be dragged along again at some point.

Tasteless hot chocolate, better than Starbucks but overall a waste of money. Takeaway drinks should be cheaper. I expect a decent amount of flavour for that price.

Reduced seating. Went in for a light lunch. I was told to sit next to a toilet. costa don’t put lobbies between the toilet and the dining area. This means as you leave the toilet you and your odours and aerosols leave the toilet with you. Disgusting and I don’t want to sit next to a toilet. I asked to move and was told there was only seating for 4 available so asked to sit there. Got a frosty reception from staff member at this request . She then sat us in proximity to the gents toilet. Why Costa feel it necessary to put toilets opening directly into restaurant seating areas is beyond me. It’s unnecessary and I won’t be visiting this costa again. Apart from frosty face, the rest was as to be expected. I will support local cafes next time I go to Tavistock for lunch. costa don’t know how to look after the local customers evidently. Really interesting the effort that restaurants go to to clean and disinfect. This is something they should always have done . It is called good hygiene. Interesting that they are all hell bent on being seen to do it to control COVID. What about their responsibility to control bacteria for all the other years they have traded.

The one in Tenterden, Kent is awful.

Ordered a jasmine tea and paid. Sat down and realised I had the wrong tea so my partner went up to swap it and was informed they no longer sell it and to ignore the board. They didn't offer a refund or apology, just took money for something they didn't sell and never said anything about it. A bit shameful because it's such a small thing but really dishonest.

Young girl rolling her eyes after I requested soy milk. If she doesn't understand basic customer service, I suggest she go into another line of work. The others weren't any better. Service with no smiles and no interactions with their customers whatsoever. Management need to train them up to the usual coffee franchise standard. Only this branch of Costa has this issue and that's comparing to other outlets as well as abroad.

Generally Costa Coffee branches are good but this one is very poor by comparison with others I have tried. After ordering I waited a good ten minutes for my coffee, after which I asked my server where it was, they had completely forgotten my order. A very bland and lifeless latte was hurriedly concocted, it would have been nicer perhaps if it was actually hot but sadly it wasn't. The dirty floor and sticky tables weren't very inviting either. Fortunately there are other far superior coffee establishments in Tavistock so I won't be visiting this one again.

Great Costa where the staff are always welcoming.

It's a Costa - nothing to rave about unless you are desperate for your (average) coffee hit or overpriced 3 week old cake that is mass produced. That said if you go out the back and sit outside there is a lovely garden and you can hear the water from a large stream going by. So if you need a 20minute break and want a lovely setting - its not too bad.

Pretty average costa store but unlike most Costa store where the coffee is not great in comparison to the Costa machines you get in garages this place did great coffee! Everything was clean and tidy.

Pleasant Costa with very helpful staff. The usual fare, but set out with care and the whole cafe was spotless when I visited. the toilets were also much better than most Costa's - As I was visiting a new town I would normally have tried a local coffee shop, but others were too busy -

No armed forces discount, Starbucks do it, Costas all over the country do, but not here. Shame i’ll Be going to Starbucks or Cafe Nero in future.

Visited today. Coffee and service excellent. However the egg mayonnaise sandwich was tasteless and coffee cake was bone dry and didn't taste of anything. Would not go for food again.

We usually stop here when visiting Tavistock as we like Costa coffees. We noticed new chairs etc in the window and went in thinking it had had a refurb, but that was where it stopped really. We wanted to sit outside, but that area seems to have been almost abandoned. Such a pity......so we walked out and went to another coffee shop.

Shame they don’t do oat milk as this would make this place on a level with Starbucks, the staff couldn’t work harder and service was fast but the drinks disappointing
