Fabulous food and atmosphere. Really accommodating for a group of 9.

Whilst holidaying in Devon we wanted to try a real Devon Cream Tea and we weren’t disappointed. The scones were fantastic, homemade, fresh and warm. Never tasted scones soooo good. The tea and coffee were excellent too. Cannot recommend this place enough, good value for money and made to feel very welcome too.

Good food & reasonable price, service was friendly with minimal waiting time.

Our go to pub in town. Always friendly. Great food. Very well kept.

Pork belly is amazing and so are their Sunday Roasts. But book for Sundays.

Booked a table to dine at 20:30 ,it was quiet but prefer to know we have a table.We like the moules as a main, with warm bread 🥖 and fries. Staff are allways welcoming and attentive, the vibe upstairs is charming, and particularly relaxed after the madness of New Year. Will return again, when in Paington 😘

Excellent cafe. Especially loved that they had porridge on the menu. Also toasters at the tables was fab, my son loved being able to do his toast his way!

Unfortunately this was not a good experience. I ordered a bacon mushroom and cheese omelette . When it arrived I thought it was a joke it was black so burnt, I should have said something at the time. When I was charged £12.70 for omelette no chips and a black coffee I thought it was expensive, I scrapped off the top so hardly eat anything very disappointing.

Food excellent I asked for mor red onions on my sandwich the staff obliged won't eat another sandwich anywhere else ,they certainly spoil you here well done John and staff

Have visited several times in the past and always enjoyed but visited yesterday and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Cafe was quite empty carpets were dirty whole place very untidy ordered food surprised by being asked to pay before food was served Food was OK but nowhere near the quality it use to be Will definitely not be back

Booked on the off chance as we were in the area for a weekend. Got given room 103. It had a double bed en-suite with a connecting twin room , both had balconies with fantastic sea views. This is not a Devere, Marriott style hotel, it is a traditional Victorian sea front hotel, so don’t expect a modern full gizmo experience. But what you do get is very friendly, helpful staff, great housekeeping team, bed linen changed every day and immaculately clean, and if you get the right room with balcony and sea view, It is a view to die for, with the sea right outside your window. We were delighted that it hadn’t changed much in the 40 yrs since we last stopped there. Bar snacks and restaurant food available and was reasonably priced. We used the indoor pool which was lovely , shame, the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were not in operation. We were surprised by the low number of people staying at the hotel as it was beautiful weather over the weekend, but hey ho that’s their loss. Hope it stays this way but something tells me that may not be the case. Well done to all the staff for making our weekend so enjoyable. Gary and Jo

Back again to our fav little cafe in Paignton, great food, great staff, no need to go anywhere else , it’s a little walk up from the main shops, but so worth it
