This is purely based on the rude member of staff (not sure if she was the owner?) we left without ordering, definitely wouldn’t ever return

Staff so helpful venue spotless and the food was 100% would recommend it, if only for a nice coffee and a chat or a full meal you will not find a better breakfast in Paignton

Me and my partner come here everyday for breakfast when we visit Paignton, the place is always packed which is testament to how nice the food is. The breakfasts are nice and fresh, the staff are amazing and really add the place, they’re welcoming and warm and go that extra mile for you! They’re a credit to the establishment,

Mo is a delight and always makes a fuss of my elderly mum when we visit! She loves his chicken curry and I always have a jacket potato when I go there, which is always really good. I was there the day that the people both complained about their potatoes, and there was no shouting or aggression on Mo’s behalf. Whether there was another agenda I couldn’t say, but feel, I need to speak up for him. If you read the majority of reviews they are all good, and hope this speaks volumes.

Amazing food and amazing friendly staff, never been let down by these guys. I don’t go in there that often, but when I do I always ask myself why I ever go anywhere else.

Travelled from Exeter with Grandchildren to ride the Xmas train after which we were looking for a bite to eat. Someone recommended Mo's so we walked up Victoria St, it was easy to find well lit and warm looking. The owner and staff were very friendly and the food excellent and very good value. We all enjoyed our food. Highly recommended, we'll eat there again next time we're in Paignton.

Extremely Rude owner ! Aggressive and threatening behaviour form the owner We ordered 2 Jacket potatoes with ham and cheese, With the first mouth full we both were horrified with the sour taste. A real gone off taste form an extremely old potato The ham also smelled and tasted old and off ! We very politely and quietly spoke to the waitress who took the meals back to the kitchen! Then the floor show began! The owner came out shouting and screaming that the potatoes were fine and even went to other customers and got them involved. We were made to feel very uncomfortable. And unwelcome! Most terrible experience! We were so shocked with the lack of customer service and the abuse we received! Never had such an experience as this ever.

Mo was winking at my missus during brunch and made more than one ‘double entendres’ during the course of said brunch, I certainly won’t be going back for ‘second helpings’.

Relocated and now called Mo's Diner, 11-13 Victoria Street, Paignton, TQ4 5DH. Our gem of a find on our recent visit the P. Highly recommend, you'll be missing out if you walk on by! The Diner is very pleasant and the decor lovely a bit of a Med feel to it. The staff are extremely attentive and so pleasant. Greeted with a smile on every visit and nothing was to much trouble for them. The food, wow absolutely delicious on every visit. Yes every visit the standard was maintained and food perfect. We had quiche with salad/chips on two occasions, also the 1/2lb cheese burgers. My husband doesn't like tomato based relishes so when we asked our waitress she was straight on it and asked Mo. Served hot not luke warm as in some places and good variety on the menu to choose from.

As locals we often have breakfast at Mo's. Food is delicious and freshly cooked. Mo and his staff are friendly and welcoming. Lovely place to eat. 5 stars.

Used this lovely cafe while on holiday, popped in for a coffee and noticed they did Sunday dinners. So decided to try it out, had a lovely Sunday dinner cooked to perfection and well presented served by friendly staff. Simply had to return for a 2nd helping the following Sunday plus had some rather delicious meals in the week .

Visited on Father’s Day. We had 2 roasts , pasty and chips and chicken burger plus apple pie and chocolate fudge cake. All very nice , tasty and freshly cooked. Diner is clean, friendly and busy

Stumbled across this diner/grill whilst venturing through the streets of Paignton looking for somewhere we could have our lunch. The place upon first impressions was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu selection was impressive. You would be hard pressed not to find something to your liking. We both took the specials of the day that were chicken Curry & Chips. The wait was a little longer than expected, but we soon realised it was getting cooked fresh. We also got a little apology for the delay from Mo. The food served was delicious it was well worth the wait. The Chicken Curry must be his own unique recipe as it was absolutely lovely. The toilets were on the ground level and were scrupulously clean. Highly recommended establishment when you're in Paignton

Mo is a great guy who likes to get to know his customers - and boy what a friendly guy. His food is great and his kebabs are lovely, as is the other food he serves. Always freshly cooked and served with all the trimmings. I just love this place even if just for a coffee or a tea. The prices are also very reasonable.

From the outside it looks very welcoming and the 5 star food hygiene rating encourages us to enter for a weekday lunch. The owner greets us at the door and opens both doors so we can have easy access with a rollator.Service is quick and cheerful and the dishes are cooked fresh in view of the customers. I had a Mo’s ½ lb special burger with bacon, mushrooms and onion rings and it was delicious.The restaurant is very clean with wonderful light effects. The staff are so cheerful and welcoming that we are bound to return for another helping. Thanks Mo and staff.

I stopped by with a lady who is disabled for coffee. Was welcomed and they made us both feel relaxed. Other customers seemed like family to the staff and nothing was too much trouble. A truly great atmoshere at this place. Thankyou

The menu looked great, with a lot of choice, so inside we ventured. Nice interior, clean, welcoming, good atmosphere. Service with a smile from the waitress, who was very helpful. The food was delicious, generous portions, nicely presented - nothing was too much trouble. Because our usual eating hole was closed we decided to try Mo's and our usual eating hole will probably be pushed to the sidelines. We sat down and were welcomed right away - service with a smile - and left alone to peruse the menu which is full of varied choice. My friend and I chose different dishes and both were well presented and delicious to eat. The waiting staff are helpful and the owner - Mo himself, came out to ask us if our meal was satisfactory - a lovely touch. Lovely, clean interior, great food and service - what more can I say - looking forward to another visit soon.

We recently moved to Paignton and gradually been trying the local haunts. Just had a lovely breakfast here and prices very reasonable. Will be trying Sunday lunch soon as loads of tables reserved. Food nicely seasoned which is very rare these days. Just like tasty home cooking. Will try the take away menu too as only work round corner. Well done Mo.

I took my mother in'law back to Mo's on Friday 14th as she is getting better after a stroke, she was greeted back as family, we only had coffee but there were other regular customers there and they were treated the same. All the food is cooked fresh from a good menu, the restaurant is clean and the toilet is exceptionally clean which says a lot.

Always so clean. Mo is super friendly and his team serve with a smile. Good food, and a nice atmosphere. 10/10. Go Mo!

To put it simply. We sat in. Had kebab style meal with a pizza and salad. Better, better, better than most. They do some other things as well but the clue is in the name. They were so welcoming. There are actually table cloths on the tables! ( Well, plastic). But the point being they do the Mediterranean, grill, kebab thing extremely well and they do it such that you feel valued. Even the waiting staff. Especially the waiting staff. And when I was ready to pay the owner politely told me he's just putting a customer's food in the oven then he'll be right with me. Many proprietors wouldn't say anything. He got a tip for that. Fantastic.

Popped in for lunch on Easter Sunday and had the roast beef. 5 fresh vegetables, plenty of beef, stuffing and yorkshire pudding! Plus - horseradish sauce and an extra jug of gravy. Really well cooked and for £7.50 a real bargain. Highly recommended!! I will be back!

We stumbled across this little gem about 5 years ago and have visited on our occasional visits to the area.... always an excellent reception from Mo and his small team.... good food swiftly prepared at the right price. Thoroughly recommend you seek out this place!

Visited Paignton late January. Looking for somewhere for a snack for lunch. Saw Mo's grill and popped in. Lots to choose from on menu. Husband went for 3 egg omelette (nice to be able to order alone without having to have as a meal with chips etc.). I asked for the mackerel goujons. Mo apologised and said unfortunately he had no mackerel but recommended the salmon and crab parcels served with salad. Well these were delicious served with either garlic mayo or as I opted for the sweet chilli sauce. Both my husband's dish and my own were really tasty and very good value. Mo is a lovely friendly guy who made a point of checking if we enjoyed our meal and also has a lovely dry sense of humour. What really made me give this a 5 star was the way Mo and his staff treated a heavily disabled lady in an electronic wheel chair who was alone and wanted some lunch. How they cleared an area for her at the front of the cafe (not hidden away at the back) so she had plenty of space. They were so helpful to her and treated her with dignity and respect but also with some humour which she seemed to enjoy. Well done Mo and your team we will definitely be back to your place on our next visit to Paignton.

Popped in for a breakfast, but were too late. We decided on sausage, chips and beans with an egg as extra. Very friendly and clean place...but food wasn't great. Chips were too fat soaked, beans very sweet and portion size small.

We were walking around Paignton on a Sunday looking for some where to eat when we came across this cafe. Found it quite by accident and so pleased we did. The place was quite full with several people having the roast dinner. My first thought was how clean and organised the counter containing food was.

Tan pronto como fuimos en una camarera muy amable hizo sentir bien venga y ella era muy servicial. Son la comida llegó rápidamente y fue muy bien presentada en el primer bocado estaba buenísimo. Sin duda regresaría de nuevo.

Fuimos para el desayuno, el lugar estaba muy limpio y bien cuidado. Cordial bienvenida y las camareras eran geniales. Mejor relación calidad-precio que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo.

No he visto Mo ya que dirigía el Castillo Grill en Torquay. Pensamos que él efectúa una visita hoy nos alegramos y finalmente el esfuerzo.

We went here with our two kids recently, as it was recommended to us locally, and we are in the middle of relocating to the area. Mo was really really friendly, and always had a smile on his face. The choice of food was good, especially for families, and the food was really really tasty. Much tastier, in fact, than other much more expensive places we've been too. We loved it so much, we went back three times over the course of two days, as the kids just loved it. We loved it too. When we are in the area, I can see us visiting again!

Fantastic food. All meat is halal. Can't recommend enough. Fantastic friendly service and nothing is too much trouble. It is light, airy and very clean.

I was going to visit my wife in hospital and got a little bit hungry, so I decided to try this restaurant as I had never seen/hear of it before - that was a great decision! As soon as I entered, I saw the open-plan kitchen which is great for me as I like to see how my food gets made! For a starter, I ordered Lamb Chops which tasted amazing! About 3min after I ordered the food, it came. The waiters are really friendly and the restaurant has an overall great atmosphere which feels safe. For a main meal, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which had a perfect balance of spiciness and creaminess. Also, this restaurant allows you to bring your own alcohol in! I am definitely going to come again!

Just got back from morning coffee and snacks at Mo's. As usual, it was sparkly clean and there was a warm welcome. Great new look with lovely fresh foods on display. Always enjoy our morning coffees there and wish Mo every success with this new period in the grill. Looking forward to seeing the new A La Carte dinner menu!

Mo's Grill is a beacon of light in the otherwise dismal Crossways "shopping" centre. It is clean, bright and cheery and has tables outside too. Only had a coffee and a bacon sandwich but all was good!! Worth a visit!

A couple months ago I had to visit Paignton Hospital, and was a little early so stopped off at Mo's grill for the first time, and found the grill clean and tidy. Last week my wife and I had to go to Paignton again to look for a cooker, we were a little hungry so we were near Mo's and decided to pay him another visit, we were greeted warmly, ordered from the extensive menu the food is cooked fresh and a good portion, the toilet is spotless as is the rest of the grill, and we would not hesitate to go there again and try something from his special board.

Mo is a lovely man who runs a clue for money cafe. The food is really good. Mo also offers a takeaway service which is brilliant.

I've been to Mo's many times and am always delighted with the food and the service. Mo is a lovely guy who always gives the warmest greetings. His food is fantastic as are the desserts! I'll be back soon!

Food here is what you would expect from a little town grill, cheap and cheerful. Would recommend, you can see where all the food is prepped and cooked so you can see exactly what you are getting.

Was brought here by the olds for breakfast. Mo was welcoming and friendly. We ordered and breakfast was served on a timely manner. We had the ultimate breakfast 2 sausage 2 bacon etc. I was happy enough with with the portion. The only thing that let the breakfast down was the cheap sausages that were deep fried. That was the only fault everything else was delicious

This is a good place for a take away Mo will do anything for you has always been a real gent all the food is good usually have a burger but the kebabs are nice too.It is very clean just in the wrong place im afraid as this part of paignton is dead.

Rather a smart place for a kebab shop, very clean with outside tables in the sunshine in an otherwise failing shopping centre. The trouble with buying doner meat at lunchtime is that it's usually pre-cooked, not sizzling hot so has to be grilled to finish it off. Having said that the flavour was good as were the sauces, the female serving was nice and had lovely dark good looks (chauvinist!) and Mo is a really nice bloke!

I have been here for takway in past and nice cook and hot plus taste real good foodand well worth poping in for take away never sat have meal but would say well worth a try

This is very standard food,Nothing special just okay.We had kababs.The meat quality is not the best but is okay.Paignton seems to be not great for kababs if that's what your looking for!!But fast delivery through just eat delivery service.

Most amazing sausage sandwich I've ever eaten, highly recommend, Mo cooks sausages like no one else.

Went for my brothers 18th birthday as he loves theassive burgers. We were greeted with a lovely friendly smile, Brilliant service, attentive, the guy really cares about his customers. I had the cooked breakfast and sticky toffee pudding, it was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed the food and our time there. Would highly recommend :)

This is an excellent little place which my wife and I found by complete accident. It is bright, colourful, very clean and cheery. Mo is also a friendly and helpful man. The food is excellent although I only had the breakfast and my wife had a bacon sandwich but - according to her - it was the nicest and neatest-looking bacon sandwich she had ever had! This man deserves success!
