Came in the summer and had a steak on a stone, suberb, Decided to give the roast a try. It was cracking roast at a great price, so many places rip you off. 3 meats, 2 sorts of potatos, 6 different veg. staff were fantastic. Pleany of parking Will be back.

Came for a family meal on Saturday night, had never been before but heard great things. The food was excellent, we had steaks and the lamb kebabs all of which were delicious. There was a good selection on the dessert menu and we all even had pudding, which i cannot remember the last time that happened! One pudding came out with ice cream instead of custard, but the team were very apologetic and quickly fixed it for us which was fab service The service by Jack was excellent, he was happy and helpful with any questions we had. Unfortunately we had no cash for a tip and could not add the tip onto the card machine when paying. Will defiantly come again and will remember cash for tip!

Hot stone not working. So waited for steak to be cooked for me. While my husband eat his lukewarm mixed grill. £29.00 (not good value for money, looked like it had been sitting for a while) When my meal an 8oz steak returned, it was on a stone cold plate accompanied by a few chips 4 shrivelled mushrooms 2 halves of tomato and 3 shrivelled onion rings. All Cold!! Disgusting meal for £21.50 Garlic bread with cheese £5.50 also cold and awful. We should have complained and left but it was a birthday meal!!! so I didn’t want to make a fuss!! Ladies loo disgusting! One of the worst I have ever been in. One star given for the young lady who served us politely.

Myself and my wife were taken here for a joint birthday celebration by our son and daughter. What a fantastic place. Other than the fact our meals were top draw the staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The whole party had a great evening and we will certainly be going there again.

Seen the hype on Facebook so decided to take a long drive down have a break away too .. the service was exellent place was busy people enjoying them selfs .. the ribs and the porterhouse steak the whole meal was lovely . Never cooked me own steak on a volcanic stone before was a good experience would definitely come again and would definitely recommend this place to try

When arriving at the hotel we were charged to use the travel cot of the hotels which we were aware of. We arrived at 1610 and payment was taken, after multiple times trying to chase staff for the cot it was eventually brought to our room at 1930. The room was old, the beds were horrendous, thr pillows were so thin you may as well have slept of crepes. Travel cot eventually came with no mattress with an unanswered expectation for my 11 week old baby to sleep on that. Overall horrendous experience, I would have said £50 you pay for what you get but it was that bad it makes travelodges look like the ritz

The food was amazing, but I couldn't give 5 stars as the sausages let the whole meal down for the price you pay I would have expected a better quality sausage.

We stayed at this place for one night. The room was clean with excellent tea making facilities. The bathroom was especially clean. Easy to find with a big car park. It gets a bit noisy around 10.30 when the boy racers are out but does not last long as they have to go home. We did not try the food as we were meeting friends in the town.

We come here once a year every year while camping. Never disappoints as food is just delicious, hot and fresh and steaks to die for. Staff welcoming and service from the young staff inspiring as efficient and polite (so refreshing these days!) welcomed by a lovely man who explained everything to us. Well done to you all you have got this and will definitely continue to come to this lovely restaurant. Thank you Chefs and all the staff 👏🏻👏🏻

Just a pub that gets noisy at times. They have a pool table darts and also fruit machines shame they don't do skittles... They lack a selection of real ales. The staff seem polite but can take time to serve. The people who seem to come in I.e their clientele seem ok a bit rough looking but that's my opinion... This otherwise a nice little bar and would be great if they had a few event on in the evenings.

Food was amazing, great hosts will definitely be returning , the steak melted in your mouth , salads all very fresh everything from start to finish was a delight the portions where good and took home some left overs. If your in Paignton definitely give it a try ❤️

Been several times now. Local for me, really nice place , friendly . Food has always tasted good. Although last time we went i ordered their lovely homemade cheesecake which always changes which is great. This time though the portion size had changed, it was a slither of a slice, tiny. Compared to other times I have ordered it has been a normal slice, if not too big. Massive change in portion size for the same price. Also went to the Sunday carvery a few months back at 4pm which we were a bit disappointed in. Not very warm and not much choice left . Maybe better to go peak time for that as thr carvery closes at 5pm. Over all though we definitely will be coming back again.

Wow, what a meal. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Jack! The menu was obviously mainly steaks, of any kind you can imagine, but did cater for vegetarians as well. Food portions are very generous And if you are feeling adventurous you can take on one of their eating challenges! Would recommend if you are in the area!

Top quality steaks on volcanic rock, cooked the way you want it. The staff were very good with suggestions and service. It’s best to book a table as it gets busy. Would highly recommend and we’ll be back

I booked a last family meal before I left the country for good as we all love steak it seemed like the perfect place, however I had eaten here once before and didn’t like the steak on a rock concept especially since I had to cook my own steak (if I wanted to do that then I would do it at home) so I politely asked if we could have our steaks cooked and put on plates instead. Personally I didn’t think it was a big ask but apparently it was, as from that moment on we were spoken to like idiots and told that their way of cooking the meat on a stone was in fact the best way of cooking it!! I didn’t have the heart to tell the very rude boy that I was a chef so I bit my tongue. We were served our steaks on plates in the end and the food was good however the rude and arrogant service kept coming for the rest of the evening which in fact tainted the whole experience. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy being treated and spoken to like scum.

Excellent family meal, for 12, for a 40th Birthday. Including a Gluten free & 2 vegetarian meals, all catered for very well. All food excellent, arrived hot and at the same time. Allowed us to bring & serve a "special birthday cake", very attentive and caring staff. Thank you all

I'm always nervous about going to new places, but we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome! From the front of house crew the management and our waitress Alisha. I had a steak and my son had a tomahawk the rest of our party had chicken and burgers. The steak was the best I've ever had - the quality was amazing and we never had to wait for anything, everyone was so attentive. Thankyou so much we will be back x

Never had an experience where you cook your own steak on a hot stone, such an ace idea! I had the 16oz rump steak with the side salad. The homemade coleslaw was gorgeous and the quality of the steak was sublime, as a northerner extra points for having strong bow darkfruits! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to the Cattleman’s steakhouse for a family meal for mine and my brothers upcoming birthdays, was absolute amazing, food was 10/10 staff were really friendly and looked after us very well! Will definitely be coming back soon! Everyone must try this place as definitely one of if not the best place I’ve been for a good steak!
