Cafe De Palais in Torbay

Very good food, reasonably priced. I had the omelette and it came with chips and salad. Staff was attentive and kind.

Back again to our fav little cafe in Paignton, great coffee , great food and friendly staff , what more could you want ?

Doesn’t look too fancy outside, but clean and homely inside. I ordered a Latte and a cheese omelette and to be honest was expecting much. The staff were very friendly and what came was a very pleasant suprize. An excellent, piping-hot omelette, salad, and fresh chips. The coffee was excellent. For £6.65 this can’t be beaten. Actually if I’d paid twice that I would have been happy.

Friendly atmosphere always here. Reasonably priced food delivered promptly to the table. Would recommend calling in.

4 of us had baguettes with sides of chips and salad in a very pleasant environment with friendly and competent servers. Very good quality and nice to find somewhere that wasn't rammed and hectic on a bank holiday Monday. Definitely worth the short walk inland. We'd definitely go back.

There were 12 of us and the cafe owner accommodated us all. Organised the seating so it children could sit together and served all the children first even though we had 3 different orders. Lovely food, friendly staff

Came to Paignton for the day and Visited this cafe due to the reviews. Found the food to be average but considering the price, you get what you pay for. My wife was looking forward to a nice salad that didn’t just consist of lettuce, tomato and cucumber, but that’s what she received. My daughter had a ham baguette which she was shocked by the fact only the bottom of the baguette was buttered. Would we come back again, probably not.

maria is a lovely lady originating from madeira. she is so accommodating and once you have been there she remembers what your likes and dislikes are. prices are soo cheap, and the best coffee in the area. deserves to have more customers. such a find.

Well cooked food with friendly quick service. We were only in Paignton for a day but would have been back again if our visit was longer. Very reasonable.

Popped in for a quick breakfast and it was very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and smiley and the food came out very timely and tasted very good

Called in for coffee to thaw out after icy, snowy walk round the coast. Just caught them before they closed due to snow and sub zero temps, most other cafés hadn't even opened. Cheery chat and good coffee.

You must try the Cafe De Palais lovely fresh food drinks are just fine and the staff are great. Cafe De Palais is also very clean and tidy

Excellent little Cafe. Well run with good quality food and service. Although I only had a Bacon Bap and a Coffee, it was delicious and promptly served in a pleasant manner.

We popped into here while we were shopping for bargains, in our recent trip to Devon. It was clean, the staff were friendly and the range of foods was ample. I would definitely repeat the experience.

Obviously a asset to the community where locals regularly lunch. The staff and many of the customers on first name terms but still friendly and welcoming to two visitors who only wanted coffee. Bright, clean and cheerful café.

Stopped for tea and scones.Lovely service,typical old fashioned hospitality.A little off the beaten track unless you are aware of it.Near the palace theatre..Enable visit at a reasonable price.

Don't even do chips never heard anything like this.Will not be going back.Seating outside is good but tables for smokers not my thing

Estábamos de paso. El ambiente agradable y el personal y los propietarios obviamente tienen un buen rapport con los niños locales. Sin embargo, la comida era muy común. Frijoles en tostadas con queso fue una muy pequeña porción y mala calidad, incluso tuve que pedir el queso ya que no estaba en los granos en tostadas cuando servido en mesa. Seguiremos comercio' y 'haz pasará por en el futuro.

Very friendly café with wonderful food and the best coffee in Paignton, Cheeky John loves an good comeback for his insults. (All done in the best possible taste)

What a great cafe this place is friendly staff and fantastic service, I would recommend giving this place a try the food is wonderful. Every time I go there the staff makes you feel if you was an old friend a great atmosphere.

I always go here when in paignton The food is well cooked and Nicely presented ,and the prices Are fair.INotice they have a lot Of regulars so must be good. Plenty of banter from cheeky Chappie John,lightening the Atmosphere,and cheering me up!

buena comida sana, bien preparada y presentada. Personal amable y servicial y propietarios, precios razonables ... ¿qué más se puede pedir? La única pega es más allá del control de los dueños ... y eso es costosos gastos de aparcamiento del consejo y se portaba y guardias rudetraffic!
