Chandlers Coffee Shop Bistro in Torbay

Went in for lunch easily found a seat. Menu is good and reasonably priced. Ordered sausage chips and beans it was piping hot and the sausage was amazing. Also ordered panini and a cappuccino which made to how like. Had seen a choc orange cake on ordering so took it away as was to full. Friendly staff,good service and good food. Definitely go again.

Fantastic, warm and welcoming place with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Lovely food, really good prices compared to elsewhere and other cafe’s. Me and my girlfriend shared a sweet chilli chicken panini, which was more than enough food for the £7 we paid. The drinks were fantastic, specials were lovely and hot. The food and drinks also came out very quickly.

Really nice little place. Lots of choice for breakfast and lunch, but importantly, really good choice for gluten free and coeliacs. Different spacial offers that change daily. Would definitely recommend visiting, and will probably go again before we leave.

Chandlers is our go to coffee shop when we are down south in our holiday home. We have a scone scale and chandlers is currently top of the list from everywhere we have tried! (3 years in the making) Also LOVE the avocado and eggs with chilli jam and the pizzas at lunch are delicious too. Staff are great and always accommodating. Highly recommend

we visited this cafe in 2022, and on arrival in Paignton for our holiday, made our way here for their fantastic cream tea. The scones are absolutely gorgeous, and the complimentary shortbread biscuit is to die for!

Clean, tasty food, lots of it homemade. Decent cup of coffee (even decaf was nice) All day breakfast choices delicious. Traditional fry up, eggs Benedict and Avocado toast all lovely. Came back twice it was so nice!

Lots of people are quick to point out when things aren’t so good but today we felt we just how good this venue actually is. We had the most perfect breakfast, piping hot, well cooked quality food. We recently had an afternoon tea which was equally good. Very well done to the friendly staff and team. Big thank you and will be back when in the town.

Beautiful cafe, with an amazing range of gluten free options. Most of their food is gluten free too. Which is reassuring and they have separate fryers. Food was yummy too and the staff are super friendly and kind! Improvements: cushions/comfier seating outdoors and some music for inside- would improve the atmosphere, but other than that, a wonderful experience. Will be coming back! 🥰

Only had coffee, babycino and juice. But they had dairy and gluten free options and great selection if kids books. Quick and friendly service too.

Great place to eat. Staff super friendly the cream tea is divine and the biscuit on the side of the saucer with the tea was SO delicious and homemade. All the cakes snd scones look homemade. Will defo visit again for more food.

I'm definitely glad we came here. The food was amazing, we had scrambled eggs with salmon and eggs benedict. The service was fab and we stayed for a second drink enjoying sitting in the seats outside with our Westie. They are very dog friendly. I'd definitely come again.

Can't come to Paignton and not have a cream tea, reviews were good for this place so we popped in, the reviews were correct, very nice cream teas and sandwiches/baguettes. Would deffo recommend if you're passing.

Really nice coffee shop. Had a sausage sandwich, slice of lemon cake and coffee, my wife had a tea cake and tea. Really nice the sausages were peppery. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly.

Stopped here for a Cream Tea certainly wasn’t disappointed even though we arrived towards the end of the day we were happily served and not rushed. Scones were fresh and warm served with a generous amount of jam and clotted cream. The tea was good and strong one of our party had a milkshake which looked amazing topped with cream, marshmallow and chocolate flake.

Came in for coffee / hot chocolate and decided to stay for food, small cooked breakfast & sausage beans and chips. Then we stopped for another coffee and hot chocolate. Food was hot and tasty, latte and hot chocolate were just how we like them. Brilliant, friendly service all round. Highly recommended

The restaurant changed the ETA for delivery, and then the delivery lady was held up in the 'home time' school traffic for about 20mins. Food was nice, still warm, but I THOROUGHLY OBJECT to be forced to pay a 'service charge' as well as tax, as well as for a bag, as well as for delivery! The prices are ridiculous enough already. I feel this GREED will see the end of so many JustEat restaurants, which is a shame, because they would likely get more customers if they stop adding to the bill!

Recommended to go here by staff at our holiday park. The Chandlers cream tea is excellent. At only £13.50 you get a whole sandwich, slice of cake, scone with jam and a huge pot of clotted cream plus hot drink. We left there very full and satisfied. Give it a visit you won't be disappointed

A wonderful cafe, great food, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. So good we went twice during our 4 day holiday in Paignton! We had sandwiches, soup, kids pizza and they were well fantastic. Really, really high quality, absolutely delicious, faultless! Coffee and hot chocolates also perfect. I am allergic to gluten and had great choice - yummy Brie and bacon tostie. And the best freshly baked gluten free cream tea I have ever had. Ever! I am getting hungry just thinking back and writing this review!!

I went there with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We had their afternoon tea. What a spread; hot drink, sandwich, scones and a cake. Very satisfying, great service and friendly. I recommend them highly. Will go again. Well done all staff.

Fantastic find, lovely staff, good decor and not as packed in as other establishments locally. We had a hot chocolate, a mocha and two slices of millionaires shortbread. Absolutely delicious and the drinks came with homemade shortbread. Will definitely eat there next time we visit

What a find! This is the most amazing little find. The brunch was outstanding and only beaten by such pleasant and cheerful staff! A wide and varied menu but the breakfast was our choice and a clean plate said it all. Cooked to perfection, generous portions and delicious. The range of beverages on offer was amazing. A menu to suit everyone. This local cafe deserves to receive all the praise it gets. I independent retail at its very best. Clean and tidy and so friendly and welcoming. We were blown away. Worth the trip from Birmingham and cannot wait to return. Thank you all.

Looking for somewhere to have cream tea and we came across Chandlers, we ordered and were asked if we wanted fruit or plain scones and given a choice of either strawberry, raspberry or blackcurrant jam and you could have either tea or coffee, when it came out the scones were lovely and warm and a very generous size have to say one of the nicest cream teas i've had.

In town doing a bit of shopping and waiting for my husband. Decided to pop in and have a cup of tea, then tempted by the cake selection. Lovely staff, al food being served looked excellent. Will definitely be going again. Give it a try and see for yourselves.

We always go back to chandlers on the day we Devon to get their breakfast and we get sandwiches for the journey, they are so friendly and the eggs benedict is fantastic, I get mine with avocado and it never disappoints, their bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich is the best I've had.
