The best restaurants serving British food in Berry Head-with-Furzeham Torbay South West

Walked around the harbour towards the town, we found this appealing cafe. We're from Wales so thought it would be nice to say hello (cwtch is Welsh for cuddle or hug). The Welsh owners were very welcoming (and speak perfect English for any of those who think this is just for Welsh people). We had a cream tea (and coffee) and spent a while in the company of these lovely, warm, welcoming people. It felt more like having a cuppa and catch up with friends. The walk up to the cafe is a little steep for anyone less able, but not too difficult, and it's definitely worth a visit to the cafe tea room. Had we planned on staying in Brixham longer I think we'd have popped in most days. They also have a "pay forward" scheme, whereby you can pay for an extra cup or food for someone who may need a little "cwtch" later in the day.

Dropped in here randomly one morning and had one of the best breakfast we had eaten for a long time! The guys were great, and the food and service was excellent! Will definitely come back!

Attend a wedding reception at bistro in October, what a fantastic place. The food and the sevice was outstanding . The view from the bistro is amazing and it made for a perfect setting the wedding reception . The staff work tirelessly thought the whole evening and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend you visit this place if your in the area.

I try a lot of different fish and chip shops around the south west and I must say this was one of the best I've had in a while! Chips were good quality, nice and crisp and full of flavour. Large cod cooked in a lovely batter, portion size good too. Service quick and efficient. Was just what I needed after a long day walking the coast path. If you're in the area I'd highly recommend!

Booked for Saturday dinner. Got to the restaurant only to find it had been closed for months. They kept sending us reminders about our booking as well. Disgraceful.

100% reccomend this place. The owner is staff are lovely and very welcoming. The food is brilliant. My husband had a burger and I had lamb koftas all food was cooked fresh.

Great Pasties. Wide choice including veggie. The hot pork pie was amazing. Pastry is really good . Been going in for 4 years consistently good.

We came and had a lovely glass of wine in this cosy pub. Logistically it was hard to get the pram in but did in the end. Friendly bar lady. Cosy and done out very Christmassy looking forward to coming back and trying the Sunday roast.

Good, old fashioned customer service, during a busy Brixham pirate weekend, where everyone mucked in and got on with the job with a smile on their faces! That's exactly what we got from Lesley, Rolly and Andrew.

Wow what a hidden gem, the staff are absolutely amazing!!! We called up and they squeezed us in, The food is second to none, we had the best carvery, so much choice and fantastic quality, 5* highly recommended, very reasonably priced. The restaurant area is exceptionally clean as are the toilets! Plenty of parking, If you haven’t tried this place give them a go you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely return if ever in the area. Liam the Landlord even got me a Tupperware box to take away the food I couldn’t eat. Thanks so much for a lovely meal. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! What a place to go for a reasonably price seafood lunch. Fabulous! We had a mix of starters and a couple.of mains to share. Seafood Paella was delicious!

Where to start! The view is amazing, food is beautiful and the service faultless. I love my seafood and as you can imagine had a hard time deciding what to have. Tilly our server helped me decide and even gave a great choice of wine to go with our two courses. Even when I kept asking for more of the amazing anchovy mayo Tilly was fantastic, just took it all in her stride. Honestly the anchovy mayo is amazing! Try it with the fresh bread and cockles, you will make yummy noises! Can’t fault it all at all, which was such a surprise as I used to always go to Dartmouth Rockfish but stopped going when the service dropped. Will very much be returning!

Popped in one night about 19.30 and asked if they were still serving food. They were. So I had the ham eggs and chips was lovely. Hubby had the lasagne which he said was also lovely. Both meals were plentiful we will certainly go back on our next visit. Dog friendly pub as well. The best Ham I have had in a long time.
