My wife and I are frequent visitors to Brixham and have used the owners other excellent eating and drinking places in the town. This was our first visit to Olive and did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded expectations. My wife chose the Beef Stifado and it was absolutely delicious. I went for the Bottomless Brunch which is served from midday to 2.30p.m. I chose three small plates which is really a larger version of tapas and they were freshly prepared and delicious. But, the 'Bottomless' bit is the wine! From placing a food order, one gets a timer and 90 minutes during which time one can help one's self to a selection of very good quality white, red or rose wines to accompany ones food. This does not mean one has to rush the food - only the drinking is timed! Great food, great ambience, great wine. All this happened in warm, casual surroundings with the friendly help of Jennifer and Raphael on the day we visited. What more does one need! Why go to the mediterranean.

The food and the welcoming is just fantastic. There's such a beautiful ambience, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and there's a wide variety of options for different dietary requirements. And the food itself? First class, cooked to perfection and served super fresh. A lovely selection of hot drinks and the top recommendation: eat in or take away a slice of cake - it's amazing, whatever type you plump for! Photo is of the vegan breakfast, minus the tomato (personal choice), plus extra hash brown and brown sauce. Sets you up for the day!

Yet another lovely breakfast here! We love it and it is our go to place for breakfast now! The food is so tasty and freshly prepared. We are lucky enough to have this gem on our doorstep but if you're visiting make sure you give it a try! They do take out too!

This was our first visit to Crusoes. We hadn't ever heard of it so maybe needs some extra work on advertising and social media. The interior is lovely and has a wonderful view of the harbour. The menu is small but is a good thing as far as I am concerned as everything is freshly prepared and cooked by chef Gary. We all had the crab and prawn linguine which was really tasty. Friendly service and good food led to a lovely evening with friends

Walked around the harbour towards the town, we found this appealing cafe. We're from Wales so thought it would be nice to say hello (cwtch is Welsh for cuddle or hug). The Welsh owners were very welcoming (and speak perfect English for any of those who think this is just for Welsh people). We had a cream tea (and coffee) and spent a while in the company of these lovely, warm, welcoming people. It felt more like having a cuppa and catch up with friends. The walk up to the cafe is a little steep for anyone less able, but not too difficult, and it's definitely worth a visit to the cafe tea room. Had we planned on staying in Brixham longer I think we'd have popped in most days. They also have a "pay forward" scheme, whereby you can pay for an extra cup or food for someone who may need a little "cwtch" later in the day.
