The larder in Torbay

Dropped in for tea and cake after walking along the south-west coast path from Paignton - fantastic carrot cake, generous pots of tea, and super-friendly and helpful staff.

I am local and The Larder is now my favourite cafe in Brixham. Great coffee and food, not overpriced, very very friendly staff, nice decor and the sound of cheerful salsa type music as soon as you walk through the door lifts your spirits even on a rainy day! Whether you are local or visiting it is worth walking a few yards up Bolton Street to get here.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The breakfast was amazing and would highly recommend a visit. Loved how dog friendly it was too. Will definitely be back to visit next time we are in Brixham!

Fabulous find tucked at the back of the main Brixham shopping. Welcome team, nice decor inside and in the external garden area to the rear. Good choice delicious and good value and great coffee.

A blinking brilliant breakfast stop off. Had a bacon roll and the most cracking coffee. All served with a smile from the friendly folk that work there. Much bigger than it looks on the outside and dog friendly too. I highly recommend you pop in and say hello.

Visited in September, we had our 2 dogs with us and always a challenge when eating out, however the team were really welcoming on arrival and made a real fuss of our dogs, we sat outside at the back in a lovely sun trap. The food and coffee were of a really high standard, coffee so good one wasn’t enough. Would definitely return when we come back to Brixham.

Very nice place to sit and work, with exceptionally friendly and accomodating staff. I had an earl grey and a very tasty toasted coronation chickpea sandwich (the bread!), and worked in the cafe for just under four hours, with a charging socket and WiFi. Would return!

Lovely breakfast outside in the garden area to the rear of the cafe.. Food delicious and service first class.

After visiting other restaurants and cafes in Brixham that were recommended for their vegetarian food, we chanced upon this little place. What a find! Very friendly and chatty, with a good range of vegetarian food. Very tasty and didn't mind us taking our time over coffee while we waited for the rain to stop. We enjoyed our lunch and will go back again next time we are in Brixham.

Best food in Brixham! Lovely setting. Very family friendly, baby changing and highchairs. Everything is thought of, wouldn’t go anywhere else!

So glad we found this beautiful place. We visited twice and had the most amazing welcome and service. The cappuccino and croissants were the best. We will definitely return when we stay again next year.

I don’t know what to say. Have been so many times for truly great brunch and lunch so was excited to take the in-laws for dinner. New Friday Saturday opening Awful. Sorry. But awful. Had vegan burger. The burger was fine. It was a good brand but was totally ruined by a ton of mushy fried onions! No salad in the burger, a super sweet brioche. Just awful. And the sad hot dogs my in laws ate would look fine served from a food van. You will certainly put people off coming in the day if you serve this at night. Sorry. I love the place but clearly it’s not the same cook in the evening. Don’t bother!

Looking for somewhere new for coffee and breakfast then look no further than this absolute gem. An incredible range of delicious coffees and “the” most delicious breakfast menu which caters for all. My wife loved the vegan options and my smoked bacon and scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Double thumbs up and my new favourite place 😀

We have been coming to Brixham for years but only just discovered this place. Neither of us are vegan or vegetarian but this food is really nice and certainly made is interested in finding out more. The olive toastie is amazing and the vegan on toast. Would have been back to try some more dishes but had to come home. Lovely friendly staff too.
