Another cracking breakfast, freshly cooked and very tasty! Definitely the best breakfast in Torbay and I've had a few!

Love it here. Had had a bit of a crazy morning at work so popped down the road to have a coffee and ended up having a piece of ginger cake too... which was very yummy indeed. This is such a lovely cafe. I tell all my customers to go in if they're staying in town. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the food is delicious, the owners and staff are just lovely and the prices are more than reasonable. A little gem in little old Paignton. Can't recommend it enough.

The quality of the food is superb. I had bacon eggs benedict - the best I've had in years. Had the same again on our last day. Would definitely go back again if I was in the area. It's also dog friendly, which was a really winner for us. Lovely staff, too. Hammonds is a real find!

We went for breakfast, three adults and three kids. Food was perfectly cooked and it was no problem for the owners the kids were bit loud at times. We also had to order more food because as soon as our son saw ours he decided to have more what originally ordered. This was no problem. The kids even got a lolly in the end - that made them very happy!

Great Breakfast, quality ingredients!

Called in here and had great breakfast, gluten-free bread, and the sausages are gluten-free. Lovely service and spotless inside. Coffee was beautiful and really hot. All in all, an excellent breakfast cooked with care, and you could tell the ingredients were top class the tea was the same. Good on these places that will not drop the quality and still deliver at a fair price

We went for a late breakfast at about 1pm, lured in by the lovely atmosphere. I'm so glad we went, because they made the most perfect eggs benedict I've ever had (I'm fairly sure I've got the credentials to say it's the best eggs benedict!) My partner had a standard breakfast, which he deemed "exactly how it should be, perfectly cooked and nice and fresh, not oily". I would highly recommend this place, as the service was top notch, drinks served in good time, no waiting around for someone to come over. Beautiful. Will come back again soon!

My second visit to Hammond’s and it didn’t disappoint. Had an amazing cooked breakfast and it looked and tasted amazing…. I also had fried bread 😀 as an extra. Definitely will be returning… really lovely staff too 😘

Good food friendly staff well worth a visit

Had the Gingerbread Latte and then a hot Mulled Friut tea. Both were lovely. Great staff. The food looked nice including the great range of cakes.

Lovely food and always fresh staff very friendly

My son and I popped in for lunch. We both had a cheese ploughman's, and it was lovely. Really interesting salad with lots of fruits in it which made it very refreshing. Lovely chunk of granary bread which was fresh and lovely. Pickled onions and chutney with a medium piece of cheddar cheese, what's not to like. Very pleasant surroundings, clean and fresh looking. Overall a very nice experience.

Came here in August with my mother in law and everything was perfect, she loved the strawberry and kiwi tea, fantastic service. Definitely be back next year.

Lovely little family run cafe on Winner Street in Paignton. Large menu selection at very reasonable prices and will happily tailor the menu to suit your needs. (Ie if you like your eggs a certain way they’ll do their best to accommodate) I had the ham omelette and it came with chips and a nice side salad. Was a good size and cooked perfectly, a nice fluffy omelette with large pieces of ham and just the right balance of chips and salad. My parents also had ham and chips and an omelette and enjoyed their meals. They also carried a nice variety of cakes but due to having to get a train back to Kent I didn’t have time to sample those, so that will be a good reason to come back!

Looked on Google for full English near me and Hammond's came up with good reviews and didn't disappoint really engoyed. Thank you

Amazing home cooked food.Hubby had the cottage pie and veg,beautiful and a good size portion.I had a prawn sandwich,lovely bread and big juicy prawns.We took our cake and custard home with us as we were both full.😊😊. Owners and staff lovely and friendly.

We stopped here for breakfast, what a lovely place, really friendly service and delicious food. I had the special, avocado, bacon and tomato on toasted sourdough, my son had egg Benedict, both cooked to perfection.

Wow. Absolutely lovely!! Can't rate this place enough. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Service was great. Food was outstanding, I had the large breakfast which was a great size, good quality, nice thick bacon, no grease on the plate. My wife's baguette was huge but looked so tasty. We called in to hammonds cafe yesterday when we first arrived in Paignton for our 2 week holiday in goodrington . It was recommended on a cco local page on FB and put name in to Apple maps & found it . It’s away from main tourist area on winner street around 6 to 8 tables we were quite hungry our journey had took over 5 hours . I had chips & scampi , my husband had beef stew potatoes & dumplings and all conked to perfection. We decided to have a pudding which was pineapple upside down pudding with custard . Very generous portions bit for mains & puddings we had two diet cokes came to £22 which was brilliant price would highly recommend

A warm welcome followed by some of the best home made food. Jacqui and Alan have nailed service quality and pricing at this fabulous little cafe. To be sure of a table, phone ahead for a reservation. Definitely would return.

We visited this cafe twice on holiday. Both times we left delighted and with full tummies. Incredible value for money, the Lamb Hot Pot from the Specials Board was superb. Friendly helpful staff, pleasant surroundings and ultra clean facilities, all add up to this being probably the best place to eat in Paignton

If you are in Paignton you have to visit Hammonds cafe chris will cook you the best homemade food you want and need cy will then make you a fantastic coffee or tea and then there’s the homemade cakes can’t wait to go back

An excellent place to eat. Superb home cooked food. Good quality ingredients. Excellent value. Lovely staff who are friendly and welcoming. The only complaint is that I live in South Wales and have to wait till my next holiday to visit again.

Oh my, discovered this absolute gem of a cafe about 6 weeks ago and have been nowhere else since. Usually for breakfast but also excellent for takeaway lunches, specials etc as well as eat in. In fact eating in is the best part. The banter...

Nice and friendly and allowing lots of space between people for Covid 19. The doors were also left open to allow a flow through of air. I has a prawn baguette and tea which was really good. However the Haddock and chips that another customer was having also looked great. I may try that next time.

I love the English Riviera with all the hotels, guest houses, and restaurants. But Hammond's is something else. The breakfast plate doesn't only look great; it's spectacular. And wait until you taste it, hmm. It's a gem of a place definitely.

After hearing great things about this place from my mum who is a regular visitor I was looking forward to giving this place a try. I have to say... it didn’t disappoint. Firstly the lovely owners made us feel so welcome and were so accommodating to my dietary needs. They put me together a wonderful vegan lunch followed by the tastiest chocolate vegan cake ever!!!! Everyone’s food just looked so lovely and it was nice to hear that all meals are freshly made. Menu is lovely with a great selection of food. There doesn’t appear to be much going on in this street anymore. However this cafe is a must! You won’t be disappointed

Everyone was very friendly, the shop itself was clean and cozy. I just moved to this area and I'm definitely going there for my breakfast. I would recommend it, and the best bit is it's pet friendly!

having heard these great folk worked for the royal family in London outside catering I believe we couldn't wait to give it a try and so glad we did a warm friendly welcome with a smile fab choice of food and drinks tastes great have been in many times since with different friends who all love it here the prices are very good as well so win win back again soon was made to feel welcome every time thanks very much x

Found Hammonds today and weren't disappointed.We had a friendly welcome from the gentleman patron who also explained breakfast to us, even letting us swap a couple of items, which was so nice of him....The 2 ladies were also very friendly, enjoying a joke with them.Will def' be going back, can't recommend it enough !!

Just arrived in paignton nice and early and decided too stop off here for breakfast. Was not disappointed at all. Had the early bird breakfast with a cup of tea. The owners are really nice and friendly and the breakfast was gorgeous I could of eaten another. Well worth a visit when your here
