The best restaurants in Berry Head-with-Furzeham Torbay South West

I try a lot of different fish and chip shops around the south west and I must say this was one of the best I've had in a while! Chips were good quality, nice and crisp and full of flavour. Large cod cooked in a lovely batter, portion size good too. Service quick and efficient. Was just what I needed after a long day walking the coast path. If you're in the area I'd highly recommend!

This restaurant is a gem, located with an amazing harbour view. The service was amazing and the food exquisite. A very good menu and the food was cooked to perfection. The ambience is relaxing and comfortable, exceptionally clean. Attention to detail was second to none. Could not rate this restaurant highly enough- thank you for a lovely evening.

Had an excellent brunch here yesterday. Sausage doorstep sandwich and chips, and the savory cheese scone platter was amazing.

Have been going to shoals for years, we went Thursday evening, food good but waitresses have put us off going again. When we paid , no thank you or goodbye, it's eat your food and go. We noticed it in may when we came down , thought it was off day, but on Thurs was same, if they don't like the job then leave. Was if they really didn't want to talk to customers. Won't be going again. Harbour lights for us.

Booked for Saturday dinner. Got to the restaurant only to find it had been closed for months. They kept sending us reminders about our booking as well. Disgraceful.

Gorgeous cream tea and the scones were slightly warmed. Best coffee of our holidays and courteous staff. We can’t fault anything we had. We even stayed for another cuppa. If only we lived locally as I’d come back again

Stopping off for morning coffee was a very different experience to when we visited the same week for evening drinks and was excellent (reviewed separately). The wait for the drinks to reach our table was unacceptable and when they did arrive my cappuccino was mostly froth, very little liquid! My husband said he heard the lady on the next table saying exactly the same thing. Wouldn't recommend for coffee. A pet hate of mine is when cakes are displayed without prices as was the case here.

100% reccomend this place. The owner is staff are lovely and very welcoming. The food is brilliant. My husband had a burger and I had lamb koftas all food was cooked fresh.

Amazing Little Find! We saw the special on the board for Sicilian Squid Stew and decided to give it a try. It didn’t disappoint and was absolutely delicious and full of flavour and loads of squid. We paired it with a sharing portion of their loaded fries and a glass of wine - fantastic! Pity it’s our last day here. 👌

Wonderful coffee and a very tasty panini. The cafe is well set out and the staff are efficient and friendly. Lots of lovely cakes, too!

We had a few lovely 😍 coffees ☕️ and lite lunch 😋 here. Over the 10 days, we were in Brixham. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Food is 100 % love the sitting outside on the harbour.

Great Pasties. Wide choice including veggie. The hot pork pie was amazing. Pastry is really good . Been going in for 4 years consistently good.

This restaurant was close to where we were staying, so chose this after walking our dogs and it was an inspired choice. The food was excellent. Service a little slow due to the volume of on line orders being collected, but the food was piping hot and worth the wait

We come to the Brixham every year, we stumbled across here on a walk last week and decided to pop in. So glad we did. We were given the warmest welcome possible, excellent choice of beers, the regulars in there were extremely friendly and just a general really nice and cosy atmosphere in there. We ended up visiting another twice whilst on holiday and reccomended it to friends for when they visit as well. Cannot wait to go back in the winter!

£3.20 for an ice cream and the girl did us the smallest scoop i have ever seen. Ridiculous when they charge so much. A different girl served the people in front of us and they had a much bigger scoop, don’t bother going here - plenty of other places to go to.
