Excellent food and great service from courteous and helpful staff.

Rockfish is certainly worth a visit if you are traveling to Devon, with it's welcoming, eye catching menu and the warmth from it's cosy restaurant situated overlooking Brixham Harbour, The catch of the day choices were explained to us very well, a little rushed on script by the staff. It is a bit pricey in my opinion, but if you are looking for quality, then this is the price you pay. The Food came quick and was delicious, a choice of local Beers and Ciders were on offer to try and the amazing homemade tarter sauce and the unlimited chips were a great treat. Thank you.

We go every year for my birthday on 16th March. This year topped every year. The Oysters, mussels and monkfish were quality and cooked to perfection. The waitresses were informative regarding all fish/seafood and very pleasant. Lovely Champagne to accompany. One tiny negative was too many dogs. I don’t like them near my table whilst I’m eating. Especially a damp dog.Everything else was perfect.Well done everyone

The food was that nice last time that we came back again. The food was as good as last time but the service wasn’t quite as good. Our server didn’t know the answers to our questions sadly. We are assuming he was new but we asked 4 questions and he didn’t know the answers to them. Still a good experience and the food was fantastic. The views at the back are amazing with all the fishing boats and they also have a fishmonger outside and also a takeaway. The Rockfish Cider is also worth a try.

Have eaten here many times since moving to Brixham. It is without a doubt one of the best places to eat freshly caught and cooked local fish with a fabulous view over the sea and the harbour; able to watch the trawlers come and go whilst eating the product of their labours. Highly recommend.

Once again, we were treated to a wonderful dining experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful, but a special shout out for Hayley and Carys who were always helpful, attentive and great ambassadors for the whole team. We ate at Rockfish yesterday the fish as always was fabulous. We had our starter and then after what we thought was a 40 minute wait asked about our main course. Unfortunately I think it was the supervisor we asked. She went over to the till and said "actually it's only been 35 minutes and what do you expect when it's busy " I quess what I expected was a simple it will only be a little longer or sorry we are busy . We spent £160 on our meal so we would have expected somewhat better customer service.

We have been getting our fish 'n' chips from you for many years. We always ask for lightly battered and the gentleman who does the frying, always obliges, and to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, last Saturday (22nd Feb) neither he, or any of the usual staff were on, but being the loyal customers we are, we ordered our 4 portions of Cod, chips and peas and paid our £75.50; the majority of it ended up in the bin! The fish was dry, the 'lightly-battered' element was neither light nor cooked; a very expensive waste of money! Today (1st March) we decided to try again, after all anyone can have an off day. I arrived, and although the shop had a number of customers, I was first at the counter; it was obvious immediately that there was an issue of some sort, but I patiently waited for the young lady, who was pacing up and down behind the counter, to serve me but after 10 minutes of being deliberately ignored, I left and went to one of your competitors. So, after two appalling experiences in as many weeks, you have, in our eyes, gone from being No.1 in Brixham to not being worthy of a listing; a great shame.

Location, view, food was perfect and staff were really friendly and on point! We all enjoyed watching the fishing fleet readying and heading as well.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but after our visit to Rockfish earlier this week, I feel compelled to share our experience in case it helps others. We were really excited for some good seafood, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. We ordered scallops, fritto misto, and cuttlefish, and none of them met our expectations. The scallops were dry, overly coated in soggy breadcrumbs, and served with a tiny, rock-hard piece of baguette. The fritto misto was the worst we’ve ever had – the coating was bland, and the seafood was nearly impossible to taste. The cuttlefish, while visually fine, was rubbery, and there was no effort to make the dish look appealing – just the cuttlefish on a plate with no garnish or accompaniments. I regret not taking photos to better illustrate the issues and didn’t mention anything to the staff at the time because we had our young child with us, and I didn’t want to make a scene. That said, there were a couple of positives: the staff was very friendly, and they had a cute kids' activity pack (though you had to ask for it). I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and works on improving their dishes.

During our four or five days in Torbay, this was the best meal. All the fish is market fresh (so they have limited numbers of each variety) and the consensus view was that everything was excellent. They have plenty of the less familiar fish available - I had brill for the first time (it was great). £30-40 per head including drinks - it's not the cheapest place. but you get what you pay for. I would go again in a heartbeat. Recommended.

Rockfish is our favourite fish restaurant bar none. Living in the southwest we are blessed to have so many to choose from and all of them have a really unique setting and the perfect relaxed but quality dining experience. We love the brixham one as it is spacious, light, perfectly situated surrounded by the fishing port and the staff are always friendly especially with our kids.

Starters of Scallops were fantastic. Mains of Mussels, Bream and Haddock were all delicious. Presentation, cleanliness and atmosphere all excellent. The two waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive and absolutely lovely.Would highly recommend.

Had a great meal with family here a couple of weeks ago, Beautiful BBQ mackeral and fish and chips was so fresh and delicious, A+ guys!

Such a great experience, the staff were so lovely, above and beyond accommodating so it made such a change and it really made the visit special, the food was fantastic and I absolutely loved the hand lotion in the bathroom 😄

Great views of Brixham. Staff were all outstanding, offering fantastic service, friendly without being intrusive. Our waitress reeled off all the specials - at least 8 including what accompanied each dish and the price! Food was great - enjoyed fresh oysters, tempura prawns and seafood tacos with champagne - really excellent food and ambience!

The staff were friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent. Children's fish and chips was generous. The elevated position overlooking the harbour is ideal for a fish restaurant.

Went to Rockfish for a New Years Eve dinner and wasn't disappointed! Lovely fresh food, cooked and presented beautifully. Great service on a very busy evening.

Really disappointed today with our visit here today. Had the seafood for 2. We did say we didn't like squid but were told we couldn't have anything else. So 2 prawns, 2 scallops, 2 small sardines, small bit of monkfish, a small fillet of white fish and a squid. One literally bit of salad and one chips for £80. Really really disappointed. They could of done a extra vegetable dish or extra prawn for £80 not good !!

Visited with sister-in-law to buy fish and chips to takeaway. The food and service were excellent.

Special Wednesday Deal £10 fish and unlimited Chips! Approx half normal price. Fish of the day this time was Gurnard. Never had before and a bit apprehensive but absolutely lovely. Bargain, and usual high quality.

Went on 6/11 for the NEW £10fish and chips, on arrival we were hit with the heat from the two wood burners fully alight and roaring,(temperature outside was +11c), the restaurant was FAR TOO hot and no need for it, having to take jumper off to nearly be comfortable. The waitress took our order, our drinks arrived, and then we waited while customers who came in after us received their food first, the waitress then looked at us and walked fast to the kitchen area and suddenly our meals arrived, the smallest piece of fish I have seen on the plate, Rockfishes slogan is ''tomorrows fish is still in the sea'' well this had no taste to it, and I think the last time it saw the sea was last week and had been in freezer since then, he mushy peas had far too much black pepper/chilly in them and when was a marinated chilly ever used as garnish with fish and chips, AH The chips very anemic looking and on being asked if we wanted more chips three times and saying NO, I feel the waitresses need to take the first NO as understood and not ask again.

Popped in early Sunday evening, it was quite so there was no problem finding a table. We chose to sit outside on the terrace. Service was very good and the food was delicious.

I had the brill and the cockles to start. Fish was dry.....! actually no, im kidding it was all delicious, service was excellent and the server was very patient with our group of 9 people.

I ordered the lobster unfortunately it was not cooked for long enough and it was very rubbery however the manager was very good and removed it from our bill. Just a shame as I was really looking forward to it other than that the staff were amazing and the views were fantastic so I would definitely recommend.

This is a bit of a strange one but I want to show my thanks to the staff. We turned up at lunchtime and asked if they could accommodate me and the party I was with (17 people). The staff were really accommodating and made up the table within 10 minuets for us all. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for food on this occasion but me and my wife did go back and eat there. The food was amazing.

Food was delicious as usual we ordered drinks when we arrived our food came after a while but still no drinks told waitress who brought them over and apologised as they were sitting on bar our male server hadn’t brought them over when we paid the lovely waitress told us she had taken drinks off our bill as service wasn’t what it should have been which was very much appreciated

The highlight of our visit to Rockfish was meeting Lawrance who took our order. He was exceptionally professional, attentive, knowledgeable and overall brilliant. We hope Lawrance goes on to do great things with his talent. The food was ok, no better than the Prince William or Blue Anchor.

Excellent place to eat in Brixham harbour. The freshest fish landed daily beneath the restaurant. Sit inside or on the veranda with views out to sea. Hake always good. Many daily catch specials available. Reservations recommended.

Delicious fresh seafood. Location has a great view across the harbour. Service was good and staff friendly.

It's a good formula and we've been frequent visitors, but others have caught up - there are more interesting places to eat in Brixham. if you're serving a thin fillet like Bream, then it needs to come out absolutely the moment it comes off the grill. Mine had sat atop a cold Greek Salad for a while and was just unappetising as a result. We won't go out of our way to visit any more.

Have visited a few times now and it is simply a Lovely restaurant, the outdoor terrace is a must with spectacular views over the harbour and neighbouring brixham fish market below! Food is amazing and a wonderful ambience. They also have their own takeaway and fishmonger below, all of the food is as fresh as it gets having been landed the same day literally meters from the restaurant. Their whole menu can also be adapted to be coeliac safe. Well worth a visit!

Enjoyable evening. Had basic fish and chips which were very good. Unlimited chips is the gimmick - just ask for more. They jot the other fresh fish options onto the place setting menu - would be easier if they just brought a small blackboard around with the daily catch on it - these seemed a little pricey to me. What a wonderful restaurant 😍 Greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man. Lovely waitress (apologies don't know her name but she had braces). She is so good at her job. Sat in the "outside" area, great views despite the rain. Food was outstanding. If you are in Brixham and want to eat properly cooked, fresh that day fish, in a beautiful place with excellent service this is the place.

Great seafood. Noise just a little to much but very bubbly. Service great and quick, even with 5 people! No matter what dishes you choose, it all tastes different and very good.

Just back from an impromptu call in for a light bite. Both had starters, chips and a drink. Made to feel very welcome. Dog friendly. We have booked again to have lunch on our last day of holiday.

Nice outside terrace area to sit in. All the staff were very friendly. Fish and chips were nice, and the price was ok. Mushy peas were extra, and a bit too peppery. My partner isn't a fish eater so it was good to have a meat option of the chicken. However, it tasted of nothing (I also tried it). It came with some salad and coleslaw. For £20 you'd at least expect it to come with some chips.

We had a lovely family meal at the Brixham Rockfish restaurant. The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating, happy to answer any questions we had and engaged with our children beautifully. We could not find fault the service and the food was stunning!

Rockfish in Brixham is a must-visit for seafood lovers! The fish was simply outstanding, from the delicious small bites to the perfectly cooked mains. We loved the unique experience of having the daily catch explained to us, adding a touch of excitement to choosing our meal. The generous "unlimited chips" is a brilliant idea. The overall experience was fantastic and we can't wait to return on our next trip to Brixham!

Very nice place. Only one complaint and that is a member of kitchen staff using a phone at the urinal. He did wash his hands but didn’t wash/clean his phone.

This was my 2nd visit and food was great . I've been to many places, however here they definitely serve the best oysters at a reasonable price, therefore 5 starts when it comes to food ! 4 stars for service and atmosphere, only because it was a little drafty indoors, with an open door to the balcony ( some may like it as many were sitting outside,just not something that i find enjoyable). Staff were really pleasant overall, although different waiters kept coming up and asking the same questions. I guess I'm grateful for all of the attention, but interrupts conversations around the table .

We had a fabulous lunch yesterday, from the booking process through to the end. On arrival the team were lovely and welcoming. The lady who served us was great, smiley and professional. The food was delicious and tasty and perfect whilst sitting outside looking at the harbour. Overall the whole experience was great so thank you 😊

Great location overlooking Brixham fish market, and a good selection of fresh catches. The selection of shellfish wasn't as extensive as other spots in town, but we really enjoyed our mains and the bottomless chips!

Enjoyed my lunch here but felt it a bit pricey however I think price reflects quality. All the staff were very nice and friendly.

All the fish dishes were incredible and all very different. The serving team were great considering we were a big group of over 20 including toddlers.

Pretty perfect evening, special occasion so we had sole and lobster, both absolutely incredible, very relaxed environment, nice service, outside terrace is lovely. Careful on the sparkling wine you get prompted to add when booking, thought would be a nice extra surprise to have it waiting on the table so ordered it, was shocked when it came on the bill at £60, and they had no idea we had pre-ordered which is not what I was hoping for!

Best meal on our 3 day break in Devon. We had a dressed crab dish and a lobster dish. Well cooked, well presented and delicious. Fred was absolutely brilliant at looking after us. Thank you.

Wonderful restaurant with fantastic scenery around Brixham Harbour. Had Scallops and Lobster for lunch, cooked splendidly, and very, very tasty! If you are Brixham, this is one of the go to places for fresh seafood. Goes by their motto, tomorrow's fish are still in the sea.

Friendly helpful staff, fabulous super fresh, SUSTAINABLE 👍well prepared fish - mackerel as it should be and rarely is, perfect Dover sole - and great accompanying sides. Loved the spicy take on a classic prawn cocktail too! Nice wine, great venue and ambience! What more do you need!!
