Disapointing food and portion sizes for the money, staff were friendly, and location was good.

Just back from an impromptu call in for a light bite. Both had starters, chips and a drink. Made to feel very welcome. Dog friendly. We have booked again to have lunch on our last day of holiday.

Food was amazing! Service was fab! We had the special of Ray wing which was Lilly’s suggestion - the waitress. Literally everything Lily suggested we ordered and we were not dissapointed! Thanks be chefs, food was mega but the great service received from Lily really made our night! Thank you!

Nice outside terrace area to sit in. All the staff were very friendly. Fish and chips were nice, and the price was ok. Mushy peas were extra, and a bit too peppery. My partner isn't a fish eater so it was good to have a meat option of the chicken. However, it tasted of nothing (I also tried it). It came with some salad and coleslaw. For £20 you'd at least expect it to come with some chips.

We had a lovely family meal at the Brixham Rockfish restaurant. The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating, happy to answer any questions we had and engaged with our children beautifully. We could not find fault the service and the food was stunning!

Rockfish in Brixham is a must-visit for seafood lovers! The fish was simply outstanding, from the delicious small bites to the perfectly cooked mains. We loved the unique experience of having the daily catch explained to us, adding a touch of excitement to choosing our meal. The generous "unlimited chips" is a brilliant idea. The overall experience was fantastic and we can't wait to return on our next trip to Brixham!

Very nice place. Only one complaint and that is a member of kitchen staff using a phone at the urinal. He did wash his hands but didn’t wash/clean his phone.

This was my 2nd visit and food was great . I've been to many places, however here they definitely serve the best oysters at a reasonable price, therefore 5 starts when it comes to food ! 4 stars for service and atmosphere, only because it was a little drafty indoors, with an open door to the balcony ( some may like it as many were sitting outside,just not something that i find enjoyable). Staff were really pleasant overall, although different waiters kept coming up and asking the same questions. I guess I'm grateful for all of the attention, but interrupts conversations around the table .

We had a fabulous lunch yesterday, from the booking process through to the end. On arrival the team were lovely and welcoming. The lady who served us was great, smiley and professional. The food was delicious and tasty and perfect whilst sitting outside looking at the harbour. Overall the whole experience was great so thank you 😊

Great location overlooking Brixham fish market, and a good selection of fresh catches. The selection of shellfish wasn't as extensive as other spots in town, but we really enjoyed our mains and the bottomless chips!

Curry Sauce is the nectar of the Gods!!! Don't be out of by the prices, you absolutely get what you pay for.

All the fish dishes were incredible and all very different. The serving team were great considering we were a big group of over 20 including toddlers.

Pretty perfect evening, special occasion so we had sole and lobster, both absolutely incredible, very relaxed environment, nice service, outside terrace is lovely. Careful on the sparkling wine you get prompted to add when booking, thought would be a nice extra surprise to have it waiting on the table so ordered it, was shocked when it came on the bill at £60, and they had no idea we had pre-ordered which is not what I was hoping for!

Best meal on our 3 day break in Devon. We had a dressed crab dish and a lobster dish. Well cooked, well presented and delicious. Fred was absolutely brilliant at looking after us. Thank you.

Wonderful restaurant with fantastic scenery around Brixham Harbour. Had Scallops and Lobster for lunch, cooked splendidly, and very, very tasty! If you are Brixham, this is one of the go to places for fresh seafood. Goes by their motto, tomorrow's fish are still in the sea.

Super fresh fish and great service

Friendly helpful staff, fabulous super fresh, SUSTAINABLE 👍well prepared fish - mackerel as it should be and rarely is, perfect Dover sole - and great accompanying sides. Loved the spicy take on a classic prawn cocktail too! Nice wine, great venue and ambience! What more do you need!!

In the heart of the famous Brixham harbour and above the fish market it’s a fantastic location. You must book to sit outside, even if it’s a bit nippy they have overhead heaters and blankets, you are literally 20 feet from the fishing trawlers, it’s just the sort of thing we stayed in Brixham for. The food of course is great as it has just come from downstairs, the staff are young but well trained and couldn’t be more helpful. The day we reluctantly drove home we took out cool box to the market after having breakfast and got a massive Crab and two Ray Wings to take home. The guys and girls in the shop couldn’t be more helpful, they packed it all in ice and even gave us tips on cooling it. The drive back to London took 6 hours🙄 but the seafood was absolutely fine, no problem keeping it that long at all.

Our visit was lovely in every way. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the catch of the day. This made for a exceptional experience all round with the food quality being of the highest standard. One of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time thank you

Absolutely loved it here. Sat on the balcony with a lovely view of the harbour and bay. A seal appeared as well which was nice. Staff were really good. Food was lovely and there are so many options for the fish. And their own brand cider was fabulous. Definitely recommend

Lovely place, the food was lovely. It was great to all be able to eat in a restaurant which catered for celiac and have choice of 3 courses and the variety was good. Definitely recommend. The staff were very friendly and accommodated us even though we did not book. The manager was very friendly, he assured all was gluten free. Great meal

Fantastic place to either buy fresh fish, takeaway fish and chips or eat in. The Rockfish batter is light but crunchy and tasty, the fish is light and flaky and the chips are cooked beautifully (and are also unlimited in the restaurant). Have driven 4hrs to eat here before, love this place.

The best sausage, chips and curry sauce for a cheeky lunch during our holiday. Wish we'd had time to go back and try some fish!

Went for lunch today and it was fantastic. The service from all the staff was friendly, polite and welcoming. The food was excellent and very well cooked. If you are looked for a great fish dish go here.

Our second visit to Rockfish this week and the experience was every bit as good as the first. Beth was our server this time who was great she was very pleasant professional and attentive. Our server from Monday ( Fred ) stopped by to have a chat which was a nice touch. Food as always was excellent, needless to say we will be back when we visit next time.

"Take away" in the little kitchen with seats at ground floor. The fish is superb and the chips are delicious too. You can choose any piece of fish from their fish market next door and have it cooked with chips. Veggie options aviable. Enjoy!

Overpriced and disappointing dishes (monkfish scampi, cuttlefish). Lemon & butter seemed to be served with most dishes. (Knew this wasn’t a good experience after eating later in the week at Beamers!) I guess this is a franchise - all theme no love. In fact that is the issue in a nutshell.

We were really looking forward to this meal after an amazing experience at Rockfish in Weymouth last year. We left feeling unimpressed, and like we had paid premium prices for an average meal. The fish was ok, but the recipes were basic and dishes came looking like a fast food chef had prepared them, rather than a well trained chef. You will get nice food coming here but I would recommend you save your money....there are better quality restaurants we experienced in Brixham.

Lovely place but very expensive.. we had a seafood platter for two and were disappointed with the size of it .. we were left still hungry.. had to ask for plates .. then had to ask for finger bowls.. ordered chips.. very small amount .. dessert was very overpriced.. have to say Harrods is better value for a seafood platter.. won't be returning

In the past my go-to place for fish and chips, I was travelling 50+ miles just to enjoy the fish there. This time, the haddock seem to be mostly batter and the chips were overdone. Three stars as the anchovies that I tried were better. The view and location still great but not sure if I will pop in again in the future.

Fantastic customer service at Rockfish. Friendly, helpful, great sense of humour. Packed fish for a long journey home, nothing too much trouble. So happy that they deliver to the door in England. Fish amazing.

It's true, very close to the fresh fish. We followed the recommendation of the very friendly waitress and chose two of the daily fish dishes. Monkfish tail and one of the soles. Both grilled and very tasty. The sauces were also very good. And what I never experienced before: you can have a refill of your fries. Unlimited. Wow. So, I very much recommend this place. The only thing that comes with the 'closeness' to the fish is the once in a while hovering smell of diesel from the trawlers through the restaurant. Maybe we were there in a bad time.

Unfortunately we had a late booking so missed out on a couple of dishes, but that didn't matter as everything we ordered was perfect. We were served by lara and hayley mainly and they looked after us a treat! I recommend the oysters along with trying the megrim, A light fluffy/flakey fish with great flavour. Thank you to all the team! Having our own family catering business we saw that they clearly work very well together and deliver a great service. Great work👏🏽

The must visit place in Brixham. We had some incredible scallops, great fish and wine and their own brand lager is fantastic, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like beer.

We have visited again on 2 occasions since my first review, each time while on holiday in Brixham, and the food has been excellent each time. The staff were brilliant and the standards of service have been top class. I have tried the dressed crab, as while as various fish, and I would recommend this restaurant every time.

Went yesterday while we’re on holiday. The woman on the counter was amazing. Had to write this because of her to make sure she got the recognition she needs. Friendly, chatty, smiling constantly and that was with everyone who came in. Offering advice on what things looks/ tastes like. Real credit to the team. Well done. All the food we had was lovely and really well priced.

Rockfish is an absolute gem! We visited during Pirate Days and, despite the crowds and queue, the service was outstanding—fast and friendly. We tried the special haddock fish and chips and it was phenomenal; perfectly crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere was lively and fun, matching the festive spirit of the day. Highly recommend for a fantastic dining experience!

Good quality food with excellent service. It's wonderful to watch the fishing boats coming in and unloading just below you as you eat their catch! Very well designed restaurant. Perfect for Coeliacs and fish lovers!

Hake tasty. Mussels dry. Stone cold chips.. Staff seems distracted. 30 minutes for food ! Did email but was not believed. Chef wandering around advised that this was not correct. Do all staff wear whites. Mussel a thimble of sauce dry and tasteless. Could not attract original waitress as she spent more time in the curtained off section. Curtains open. No baguette. Fish restaurant no fish forks or knives unbelievable. No water bowl or finger Wipes offered after mussels. Very very disappointed. Seems emails are not believed!

Been going to here for years but yesterday trip was the worst it ever been. Scrimping on the chips and the fish was greasy and not the normal light and crispy batter,, very bad, and feel alittle gutted,,

We had a great meal here. The fish was excellently cooked, and the service was friendly and enthusiastic. It's a lot more than fish and chips (although the fish and chips were lovely). The salt and pepper 'calamari' (actually cuttlefish) starter was superb.

We just went to the chippie downstairs, the fish was really nice and white and so tasty. We went upstairs to use the toilet ,the view from the outside seating was really good 👍.

Didn’t think much to our first visit with friends so decided to visit again as a couple. Location is lovely, the place itself is nice inside, but slow to acknowledge on arrival. Waitress was friendly. Nice choice of fresh fish, however the portions were very small and not good value for money. The grilled hake was fresh but bland and didn’t have much taste, so was very disappointing. We left hungrier than we arrived after spending £60. Won’t be visiting for a third time, there are better fish restaurants in Brixham.

Fantastic family meal out!! Norwegian rockfish and unlimited chips was a superb and improved change to cod. Batter was light, crispy and really tasty. Fish was meaty, flaky, moist, very tender and had lovely fresh flavour. Chips neither chunky cut nor fries, nice crunch and fluffy light centre. Chunky tartar sauce complimented fish and chips. Seated quickly (got lucky with timing having not booked), staff friendly and helpful. Great view and Salcombe cider complemented the dish. Highly recommend, well worth the price. 👌

Had a lovely lunch at Rockfish. Brilliant Dover sole and scallops and good options for the kids. Fish tacos were nice but sticking to the catch of the day is best I would say. Welcoming staff and nice location. Best spot to dine in Brixham based on our limited experience.

Me and my Husband went for dinner and can easily say it was hands down the BEST fish dinner we've ever had. The different choices of fish were great, they were so fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection! The service was absolutely spot on. Could not fault anything. The chips and sides and the curry sauce, oh wow!!!! We wish we could eat that whole meal all over again, absolutely stunning, if you do not visit the Rockfish then you've missed put big time.

3 cod and one chips to takeout ...... £44 😬 ouch!! Was really greasy and soggy batter was a shame

Great lunch here the herb combination was great! There are amazing views here but one area only for drink they won’t serve food to you there for silly reasons!?? I always look forward to visiting regular at least once a month but the outdoor area needs to be able to be used by everyone, people do like to sit in the sun!!

Visited here to just have a beer. Despite our minimal spend the staff, Solly and his colleagues made us feel extremely welcome. We sat outside looking at the fine view of the working harbour and it was a little cold so they put an outside heater on for us. After that we were supplied with rugs to keep our legs warm. We are on holiday till Friday and we intend to revisit and have our last meal before returning home.

Just Yes! Best fish and chips around here.Fish is always fresh off the boats and huge portions.Recommend you book if you want to use the restaurant as in the summer you could end up waiting a couple of hours,but the take a way is just as good and you can sit on the breakwater and look out over the harbour.We have travelled the 60 miles from home just to eat here in the summer.

It’s… okay. The fish was very small although haddock currently on offer due to season. Also barely any chips. The fish was fresh but ruined by the batter being very soggy. We usually visit Brixham Fish & Chips (down the road) and have a great experience but they were unfortunately closed. Was very underwhelmed by the portions and quality at Rockfish. Don’t think we’d bother to return!

Fantastic service, caring for my wife’s vision impairment went above and beyond from the manager on duty. Fresh fish options explained in superb detail. And well the fish, I mean, just amazing! Overall fantastic experience and thanks to you all!

I've been to this restaurant a few times and the food is always excellent. On my last visit the monkfish tails were enormous! Highly recommended.

Eight of us had lunch here, and it was delicious. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent quality pack given to the toddler in our group. Lovely views over the harbour, there was a seal swimming around while we were there. Recommended! Probably best to book, it seemed popular even out of season.
