We stayed here for 3 night & what a wonderful stay it was From checking in to checking out was a lovely experience, we stayed in a lovely room with a small balcony looking out to the sea , the room was clean the bed was large & very comfortable with lovely white bed linen , coffee & tea making facilities The reason we choose this hotel was because it’s dog friendly there was dog bowls provided for us We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on on the lad day had a cream tea which was delicious Would definitely recommend this hotel you will not be disappointed, thanks all for a lovely stay

Fantastic! Such a warm welcome to begin with Ed, Kath and the team got us sorted and into our room hassle free. The room was great! Everything you want or need from a hotel, with an absolutely stunning view from the balcony (see pictures). We don’t feel the rooms being serviced daily is needed but, the guys were happy to work around us when we felt it was needed! Showers are a big thing for me and the shower was great, decent pressure and temperature with ample towels provided - towels were like bath sheets which is great for the larger man. Bed and pillows were so comfortable and had the stamp of approval from my 28week pregnant partner! The location was quiet, with just the sounds of the waves at night, to gently soothe you to sleep. Breakfast - this was absolutely phenomenal- great produce, much of which I understand is local cooked to perfection. It’s not a surprise that they were given awards for it All in all ✅ The location is fantastic ✅ The team were wonderful ✅ The facilities were great ✅ The beds are pregnant lady approved ✅ The breakfasts are phenomenal Honestly if you need a break, in this beautiful part of the country, you can’t go wrong with The Downs Babbacombe!

The Harbourside
Gorgeous cream tea and the scones were slightly warmed. Best coffee of our holidays and courteous staff. We can’t fault anything we had. We even stayed for another cuppa. If only we lived locally as I’d come back again

4 Braddons Hill Road WestWe dont tend to bother these days with Indian restaurants as they all seen to serve the same tasting bland Pataks food you can buy everywhere but this place is something completely different. It was recommended to us by the owners of Trelawney Hotel and after our stay there its clear their standards are very high we thought it might be worth a look. The place is small but cosy and the staff are attentive but not pushy. A lot of the dishes on the limited menu we have not seen before including a couple of " home style" dishes which sounded really tempting so we plumped for those. The food was the best Indian cuisine we have ever had (we have Rusholme on our doorstep) and the bread, I forget its name but again more the style of food you would be served in a Asian household was fabulous. The chef even came out of the kitchen to ask us about our dining experience which was a really nice touch, she clearly cares about and values her customers. The bill was quite frankly cheap and we enjoyed it so much we returned a couple of nights later. We cant recommend this restaurant highly enough, try it for yourselves , you wont be disappointed.

South Quay The HarbourWas going to dine in another local restaurant, but luckily, they weren't open. Had their cod & chips, which was beautiful. Very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
