Yet another lovely breakfast here! We love it and it is our go to place for breakfast now! The food is so tasty and freshly prepared. We are lucky enough to have this gem on our doorstep but if you're visiting make sure you give it a try! They do take out too!

Although we have lived here for nearly 3 years we only tried Port Espresso a couple of weeks ago and have now been back again today! Great service, very friendly and accommodating staff and a simple but lovely brunch menu all very reasonably priced. We love it! And will be be back! A must if you're visiting Brixham

Friendly staff, very high quality coffee and lovely food. The kitchen area is small and this is not a large venue, that being said, size clearly does not prevent them turning out delicious brunches. I had a fruit and chia seed delight packed with blueberries and strawberries, my partner had cooked to perfection scrambled eggs. I’m very fussy about my flat whites but was not disappointed, the staff turned out some of the best coffees we have had in the UK. Port Espresso does not have many tables, but it’s worth waiting for space as the whole experience was outstanding. They don’t open on Sundays currently, but we will be scratching at the door to be let in on Monday before we head back home.

excellent range of sandwiches and food. Staff always accomodating and friendly tailoring the requested offerings to individual tastes.

Great food (5 stars). We tried out the cinnamon brioche (made from artisan baker a few doors down and was several inches thick), pancake stack and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Drinks (4 stars) fab smoothie, coffees of course and various teas.

Absolutely fantastic! Great service, lovely coffee and pancakes are the best I’ve had in a long time. Well done girls you’ve done yourselves proud. Will be returning for sure 10/10.

We regularly used take away during lockdown and pleased to report the standard is now excellent inside too! Very friendly owner and staff. Great bacon sandwich !

The coffee is great. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere and place is extremely well decorated and has an Australian feel to it. The brunch is incredible. Super cosy place, had to visit the very next day for breakfast it was so good!!

We had coffee and cake twice here during a recent few days break visiting my mum. She came with us the second time and enjoyed the excellent coffee and delicious cake as much as we did. Such a relaxed vibe and the staff are friendly too. We will definitely come back next time we're in Brixham and have some breakfast.

I went to Port Espresso after the brunch place we wanted to go to was full and it was the best turn of events possible. Not only did Port Espresso have the most Vegan options (as well as non) I think I’ve seen on a menu, they were all the most delicious options like pancake stacks etc. I ordered the Hash and have been trying to recreate it since. It was UNREAL. The servers were so attentive and created a really welcoming and friendly environment. When I’m next in Torbay I’ll 100% returning to this delightful, hidden gem that just exuded positive vibes. Especially as it’s a small, local business who are just smashing it.

We went there during half term holidays and were served a lovely set of cakes with great service. We were in 4 and had a different cake each and all were delicious.

First visit this morning with 4 friends. All Covid precautions in place. Cosy yet busy eatery, the food was delicious. Great decor and warm and welcoming staff. A pleasure to eat there. Thank you

A lovely spot for lunch, or snacks. We had Apple and Smoked cheese toasted sandwiches ( one with ham and one without, but with a Chile jam ). Very fresh taste. Would recommend.

Loved our breakfast a few mornings ago at Port Espresso. The two lovely ladies who were working were very polite and friendly. The vibe inside was very chilled and breakfast was very yummy.

Friendly team and nice brunch. The homemade spicy beans were delicious, nice to see somewhere doing something a bit different. We resisted the doughnuts but they looked delicious and are obviously a locals favourite with the boxes going out the door!

Amazing flat whites. Also, great babyccinos and cakes. Friendly staff. Nice venue. Can thoroughly recommend Port Espresso!

First visit since being ‘let out’! Apparently management has changed but the place (& staff) are the same - friendly, professional and welcoming. Boxes all ticked for the new regime, coffee is fantastic, food is good and delivered well with no fuss.

As always a fantastic visit. This time we enjoyed a Portside Breakfast and a Crushed Chilli Avocado on sourdough toast with a poached egg.....absolutely beautiful! The coffee is perfect as well. Faultless all round !

Pretty good.Visited for a brunch for a birthday treat. The Staff & service was friendly and efficient. They were very busy and we had to wait a while for the food.Brunch was very good , apart from a few issues including overcooked bacon which apparently is how they serve it but I personally don’t like bacon that crispy that snaps in half and taste too salty, and cold mushrooms . However they sorted out the problem the problem very well by a partial refund and a free cake. The Cakes were home made & excellent. My wife loved the veggie potatoes with avocado & poached egg. Personally I prefer the coffee elsewhere but that’s personal taste. Considering the tiny size of the kitchen they do a great job.

Just popped in today for a quick light lunch and had two lovely plates. I had a delicious scallops and crispy bacon in a seeded bun, which was wonderfully tasty. My wife had crushed avocado on toasted bread with crispy bacon and poached egg with chilli jam: mouth-watering! The coffees were really tasty too, none of this tasteless dishwasher that major chains offer. With friendly polite and quick service Port Espresso is one of the best cafes in Brixham. We'll be back and I thoroughly recommend it.

After a very long cliff top walk, I needed somewhere to rest my weary feet and happened upon this little gem. It had a really nice, relaxed vibe inside and the staff were friendly. The homemade cake was absolutely delicious. Worth trying one if you visit!

A tiny coffee shop in Brixham with a small breakfast menu, cakes and coffee. Staff are friendly and efficient, coffee is the best in town, cakes are delicious and the menu is limited (the place is small!)but what they do is really tasty and good and done with effort. Bread is from their bakery ‘5 doors up’ which is what it is! Highly recommended but dont tell everyone as you wont get a table !!

Visited with the family for breakfast and we all loved it. Try the cinnamon toast with sticky bananas. Wow! Great added bonus is that it opens at 8 which is ideal when you have children who wake at 6. Most other places don't serve breakfast until 9.

Amazing coffee. Huge latte for £2.50 and the cake - we had carrot and it was just divine. The best I have ever tasted. The only reason for 4/5 is waiting 20mins for 4 drinks when there are only 6 people in the cafe is a very long wait.

Wow..... Just great food and superb coffee, best in area by a very long way. How they do it in such a small kitchen is unbelievable. The price could be higher too and I wouldn't complain. Well done all involved.

We were on our way back to the car and stumbled across this place and we are soo glad we did, extremely friendly staff and great service. The bakes are all homemade and taste super, I had an amazing hot cross bun seeing as it’s Easter and it tasted delicious. Coffee is good too, we’re certainly be back.

Popped in today for brunch. Had avocado poached egg and pea shoots on sourdough toast and hubby had scrambled eggs. Absolutely delicious as usual and the coffee is fab. Love this local cafe 😀😀😀

Having Googled " Best Coffee in Brixham " , and found this place , it came as rather as a disappointment .... On a cold wet Sunday morning , you'd think they'd be happy to get some customers , but the young lady serving didn't even acknowledge us as we came in , and despite my attempts to engage her in conversation , it just seemed as though she'd rather had been somewhere else . It's no good being in a nice environment , which this cafe undoubtedly is , if you give off a negative vibe to customers . The Flat Whites were no more than average either , so all in all , we were left with a feeling of Style Over Substance .

In town with two kids and dog. Great little place. Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Toast with either jam marmalade marmite or peanut butter. Delicious. Bought some bread on way out. Wrong time of day for food but looked great

It was a little rainy and cold and I was in need for a good coffee. After walking the small town Port Espresso popped out. A small shop on the side of the road was full of charm, great coffee, amazingly friendly staff and as friendly regular customers. What started as a flat white, ended with an artisan grilled cheese sandwich, I crave still, and a peanut butter brownie. Do yourself a favor and pop in for a quick treat.

Great coffee (not too sharp), great cakes and also fab for brunch. Dan's decor is always changing! Worth seeking out above the central car park.

A little gem of a coffee house just up from the harbour. Highly recommend the pastel de Nara and the excellent brownies.

chilled here today waiting for something to happen, the coffe was great and breakfast was very well cooked. All that and in a relaxed atmosphere with upcycled furniture and recycling in mind which I like.

Only found Port Espresso because it was open at 7-30, but a great find. Small but friendly, great decor and lovely breakfast (cinnamon toast). Would recommend

Amazing homity pie with some sort of secret ingredient...maybe smoked paprika? Really light pastry- just perfect. Also had a fab cinnamon bun. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Super light and fluffy inside, scrumptious!

The best place in Brixham for coffee and breakfast/brunch. Only small and not very prominent on Middle Street but it packs a punch with excellent coffee and freshly prepared food using good quality ingredients. Friendly staff and atmosphere, I highly recommend.

There are quite a few coffee shops along this street, and this one was good.

The smell of the coffee draws you in even before you get to the door and once inside this coffee haven delivers as promised.

This was the best find in Brixham! I am a self-confessed antipodean coffee snob and normally don't hold out much hope of good coffee when travelling around the UK. So was suitably impressed to find this gem!!

This was a real surprise- to find such a characterful and tastefully decorated cafe. It was absolutely lovely - very unusual and every detail in terms of the decor had been thought about. Whoever was responsible must be extremely creative. And the coffee was excellent as was the service. A lovely find and highly recommended

Love it here. Very good coffee, the toasted sourdough sandwiches are just luscious and breakfast snacks yummy. And they do my favourite portuguese custard tarts. Whats not to like? Great med style decor and relaxed style. Only gripe - soooo warm inside. Crank the heating down a bit. Otber than that love it.

This place has great potential and is only being held back by front of House attention to detail. The coffees were delicious and the quality of the breakfast ingredient high.

Delicious coffee, very tasty sausage sandwich on sour dough bread. Very helpful and polite staff. All making our visit very enjoyable and we will call again. Good value coffee and sandwich all for under a tenner.

Io non bevo caffè, ma chi l'ha bevuto ha detto che è buono. La cura per gli ingredienti è interessante, ci sono piatti classici e innovativi: torte, biscotti, uova, toast, etc, oltre che alternative sane anche per vegetariani e vegani, prezzi contenuti.

Excellent coffee- especially the ristretto- short, strong with a proper punch! We both had some canoli filled with lemon cream - yum.

Popped in here for breakfast and got served a great cappuccino and some of the best Marmite on toast I've ever had! Delicious sourdough and a generous pat of proper butter with a squeezy jar of Marmite on the side so you could suit yourself. Really delicious. Also do the usual bacon, egg, etc. Only criticism would be that the orange juice was out of a bottle - be great if it was freshly squeezed.

Nice rustic interior and only criticism is the sign outside is too dark and nondescript so you cant read it until you are really close...i reckon this loses them business...which is a shame

Popped in for the first time yesterday. Quirky lay out makes a real change to the sterility of main stream coffee chains. Service, food and coffee were all excellent as was the value for money. Only slight criticism being there were only a couple of menus available at the time of our visit. Very much appreciated though and we plan to return.

we found this place on trip advisor so went for breakfast whilst on holiday in brixham. It was so good we went back the second day. Amazing scrambled eggs and delicious coffee. Really reasonably priced too.

This place was already on my list to visit in Brixham even before it was recommended by both our B&B; hosts and also our hotel/restaurant from the previous evening in Dartmouth (who also produced a very good flat white of their own). We made it just before closing and were in no way disappointed - a perfect flat white in every respect in great surroundings.

Popped in yesterday on our hunt for Fresh homemade cakes! We met Dan, the bearded baker (and owner). We were able to take the gorgeous looking cakes - when we got home and had them with a cup of tea, we were not disappointed.

Great coffee here and a friendly welcome, well worth a visit. I have had a couple of breakfast dishes here and they are wonderful, simple attention to detail with all of the ingredients keeps me coming back for more. Oh and a very cool space it is too, relaxed with good music. Brixham is lucky to have talented enthusiastic people doing business like this.

Visited for the first time today and was so impressed! Gorgeous coffee, three choices of vegan cake and the decor is funky, the atmosphere relaxed, so glad I made the trip!
