I brought my son here for lunch. We sat down, not realising we had to order at the counter. I went up to the counter & stood there for quite a while. Two women behind the counter saw me, but ignored me, as did the man standing at the back of the kitchen. He even made eye contact. Nobody said “Can I help you”, I had to ask to place our order. We felt unwelcome. Don’t think we’ll be coming back. Shame, because our lunch was delicious.

The interior is beautiful, the food innovative, the staff really friendly and informed, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Unfortunately our evening was marred by a party of six who I suspect hadn't seen each other for quite a while. They got louder and louder as the evening wore on, we now know all about their travels to New York, Bali, relationships..... By the time we got to desert we decided to go and sit back in the bar along with one of the two other couples. There was another dining room that was empty and I don't understand why they weren't seated there. The front of house said that 'this has never happened before'. Apparently even the back kitchen staff wondered what was going on. Such a shame as we had been really looking forward to going, it was a belated treat for my husbands birthday and we'd travelled a long way. What should have been a good (though very expensive) evening ruined. I filled in the questionnaire, stating what had happened but didn't receive a reply.

Great medium size cafe offering a range of cooked breakfasts, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, curry and pasties reasonably priced. Great selection of teas coffees and milkshakes, which my kids said were the best with cream and marshmallows. Fresh home made coleslaw and sconesThe cafe is part of able2achieve trust and is dog friendly.

Deserve a whole lot better than current emptiness caused by roadworks on nearby A303, & people not bothering to use diversions to reach Bishopswood. Gareth a most delightful Host, with friendly & charming manner, only too keen to please, & treated me like royalty, despite my untidy appearance! Interesting & original menu, influenced by his Zimbabwean wife, & I greatly enjoyed my lip-smackingly delicious Piri Piri Prawns, followed by a double Sorbet - & look forward to trying the Cape Malay Daltjes next time. Am not a beer drinker, but my 1/2pt Shandy was quite the tastiest I've ever had, & felt seriously tempted into repeating, but am saving it for next weekend, when going to watch 6 Nations Rugby & have3 another hopefully equally enjoyable experience. I really would like to highly recommend this couple who are only new (end Jan), but obviously raring to make an impact on local neighbourhood & also further afield

The food here was wonderful. The waitress was very polite, and they were able to accommodate my request to have my burger plain. They even reduced the price of the burger by £5 as a result. The atmosphere was very good. You couldn't hear glasses clinking together being collected, like you could in any other bar/restaurant, and you could actually hear yourself think which was nice. While there was an amount of noise due to other customers talking that's just to be expected. There's a nice selection of cakes and sweet treats to buy and they all look very nice. Would definitely come again

We had a very warm welcome at the White Hart. Our room was spacious, clean and warm - but it could do with some updating e.g. the basin had a crack in it, the shower had a bit of mould, and the shaving light didn't work. The decor looked tired overall. We had a very nice breakfast (again, the dining-room could do with a bit of redecoration) - but it was served with great enthusiasm and cheefulness!

A last minute decision to go for lunch with my dad who is in his 90’s. We will be returning. As I mentioned, my dad is in his 90’s and for the first time in a very long time he felt included in the conversation when ordering food and drinks as the staff lowered themselves to his eye level so he could hear and understand what they were saying. Absolutely first class service and I just want to say how much we valued this attention. The food was fabulous and cooked to perfection. I have recommended your establishment to so many family and friends today. Thank you.
