A truly amazing experience. The service was warm and friendly, as well as very knowledgeable. The food was outstanding, every single mouthful was a delight. Fabulous! Thank you all!

Proper pub! Need I say more? Yes, Willow was great. I loved her philosophy on what a pub should offer, and I loved the Crew at the table which I was invited to join. Willow is reviving the lost art of traditional English pub hospitality. Single- handedly as far as I can see! Can’t wait to return. Andy

We had lunch here with another couple last week and the food was exceptionally good. The staff were lovely, friendly, efficient and helpful. The pub itself is nicely decorated, very clean and had a great feel to it. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how good the whole visit was as hadn’t been here before. I would definitely recommend the food and we will be going back soon.

We visited the cake box cafe in the Quedam Yeovil for breakfast and have to say we won’t go back. The food was pretty naff to be honest, the option of egg was fried or scrambled. (Couldn’t do poached ) um… really… ? The scrambled egg looked like it was from a packet., and tasted as it looked, don’t get me wrong, the savouries and bread is amazing. But breakfast was a real let down.

First time we have visited since new people took over. Place is lovely, comfortable and friendly. We had the lunchtime tapas menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was very good, charming young lady served us who was extremely knowledgeable even though she had only been there a week, a real asset to the place. We will definitely be back.

Now understand why it’s talked about as one of the best roasts in Yeovil. Service amazing, food lovely and prices beyond reasonable!!🫶🏻

Food was great, all very very nice. I had the seafood platter as did my husband and everything from the starter to the cheeseboard was great. Fantastic view out the back of the fields, wonderful on a warm summer evening.

My first visit was very good but I thought there was a lack of choice with the vegetarian options. I looked at the online sample menus recently and there was only 1 veggie starter and main offered. The Boar didn't respond to any of my emails asking if there were more choices as the sample menus may have been out of date. If they can't be bothered to respond then that's really disappointing for someone who would quite happily have booked regularly.

Such a lovely place to eat or have coffee and cake,staff are lovely.

We stayed at a local BB only eating at the hotel. Very good food really nice staff We are there 2 nights out of three.

Great little pub, tones of character from the decorations to the people enjoying their selfs there. Stopped for a sandwich and toilet break which they were able to pack us the sandwiches on the go.

We stayed at this fabulous hostelry en route to Cornwall. We were warmly welcomed and our room was perfect. Lovely comfortable bed with incredible bedding all goose down. As well as a good night sleep we enjoyed a real gourmet dinner with a fine wine with exc service. Furthermore before we left we enjoyed an amazing breakfast to order and beautifully presented in the very pretty historical restaurant. I would highly recommend this hidden gem we feel luck to have found it. Lovely family hosts def 5 star plus
